Stayed in a basic room this time around. The bed and pillows were comfy. Room was clean, but like others have said,it doesn't compare to the Sydney or Melbourne ones. Staff and food at the Capitol bar and grill were excellent. Music too loud in lobby and bar. The deal breaker was the extremely strong "signature scent". It is just insulting to the senses even with a mask on. Sydney and Melbourne aren't so over powering with their scent.
Our view was of a bitumen roof, so the excellent blockout blinds were drawn as soon as we arrived to keep the room cool.

I stayed here because of the restaurant but they changed the menu. No wagyu. Steaks now very average. Service is decent enough, buffet breakfast seems to be gone as well. Rooms were never that good so I knew what to expect. Won’t come back due to restaurant changes. Bar staff don’t really seem to have a lot of experience, cocktails were very disappointing. My advice is get a new chef and lead with your food guys, lost a customer here.

We have stayed here twice now for staycations. We love the quirkiness and little touches that make it special. Would def recommend staying here. Also enjoyed a scooter ride into civic for dinner :)
A. D.
Loved our stay here. The rooms were spacious and we loved our view from the 14th floor. Close enough to shops and restaurants that we could walk. Staff were exceptionally polite.
F. F.
I’m accustomed to the quality and detail observed at their sydney and Melbourne properties so this one was a big disappointment. The lobby and bar/restaurant areas are nicely done with the usual QT look and feel but the room is a ‘lipstick on a pig’ situation with upmarket product placement to cover up a rather worn out and somewhat dirty interior. Room views are good though, so as long you’re looking out and not in then the room is bearable for a quick overnight stay. Service was good at check in and then it dropped off gradually after that.

Staffing on front desk amazing! Let me park underneath and come and pay... Staff member was 10/10 service for me and two other people in line before me. Highly recommend to all my brides to be... in future to get ready.

We dined on new years with our extended family. The menu was limited. I ordered the eye fillet which was good. However the service was disappointing. Especially when you have to remind staff what was ordered.
B. C.
Great happy positive and professional staff. One small issue could you please fix the usb outlets so I can charge a phone:) the food was amazing at capitol grill . I really enjoyed my stay, thanks all
M. B.
Pretty good. Funky hotel which blends in well with the Nouveau riche Braddon vibe.
The bar has an excellent whisky selection too!
G. B.
Great views over Canberra, fresh and quirky interior design and friendly staff.
Doing a good job considering the 1972 building is showing its age and although the London Circuit location seems central it's not particularly close to city shopping or attractions unless you count the ACCC, Reserve Bank or Law Courts.
Nearby Capital Hill is worth a visit to see the view North of the light rail corridor or South to Parliament House. And lots of feral rabbits!
The room was comfortable and in-room WiFi the best I have ever encountered clocking in at about 350 Mbps!
Large internet connected and Chromecast enabled TV was another highlight, as was the Nespresso coffee.
Look out for little maintenance problems in the ensuite bathroom.
Coffee and breakfast downstairs in the restaurant was good.
Offer of early check-in was welcomed after I arrived from the airport on an early morning flight. Thank you 😊
Would definitely stay here again.
A. K.
Good location, awesome quirky hotel! Clean, good amenities, good choice furniture in room, big TV. QR code for room menu, kind of annoying. Walls a bit thin can hear doors slamming etc. Loved it though. Free parking across the road!
S. B.
We had a comfortable stay. Early check-in was arranged for us - it was really helpful.
M.
Very, very limited menu, no seafood, too pricey for the mininal fare. Roons clean, beds comfortable, well outfitted
Z. G.
Very nice hotel 🏨 also has an amazing view, 🏙️ and cool wallpaper and artwork on ground floor
D. F.
Graet place to stay, easy and great rooms competitive pricing. Central to everything
M. W.
The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. Room service was quick and the quality was amazing! Highly recommend this property for your Canberra stays.
A. N. M.
A great place to organise corporate event. This place has got some good views of canberra. I will definitely recommend this place for Christmas parties.
鏡.
Not the boutique hotel I'm expecting. The room was neat and tidy, but the building was just too old. There was minimal hot water nor any hot air from the air conditioner. Staffs were nice and willing to offer assistance tho.
J. c.
Excellent restaurant and bed, but poor reception staff and facilities. No pool/gym.
Capitol bar and grill were amazing! Great cocktails, attentive and friendly staff plus top quality food. The reception staff just let this hotel down. Providing incorrect information and unwilling to assist with simple enquires.
A. H.
The hotel itself is cool with the decor in the main area. The bed was uncomfortable and sunk in the middle of the mattress which made it hard to sleep. Was meant to stay 4x nights and had to move to another hotel. Breakfast was delicious though.
J. T.
Average, rooms are small and tired looking. My sheets appeared to have marks on them when I went to go to bed, and the ironing board fell apart when I went to us it.
I’ve stayed at the QT in Gold Coast and Melbourne as well, and Canberra is the worst by far. There is no on site gym and the general feel of the hotel (from the ground floor up) feels dated. Look at this phone for example, it’s not clear how to call anyone in the hotel. There was also no paperwork in the room, nothing to say the in room menu could be found on the TV.
The end to end consumer experience really needs to be considered.
M. M.
The room is nice, comfortable and clean. My room had a balcony, which was a big plus.
The location is great as it is within walking distance to Canberra Centre and the lake.
The TV in my room kept turning on by itself at night, which was a bit creepy. I ended up unplugging it, which was not easy as it's built in to a joinery unit. The TV also had icons for Netflix and other streaming apps, but to my disappointed they didn't work.
J. W.
We came down for the fights which were being held at the Canberra Entertainment Centre and stayed at the QT.
The rooms were great and the food and bar was good also.
The staff were very helpful and friendly so we definitely enjoyed our stay so we even stayed again during the next fight as well.
L. G.
Despite the pandemic we are all living through QT Canberra excelled. Were extremely cautious about keeping hotel residents and visitors safe. Wonderful hospitality and great food. Rooms exceptional. Perfect location, not far from local attractions. All the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Would definitely come back here to stay
K. T.
Hotel is nice and so is the dining however I'm not sure if I would recommend staying here OR if you do plan on staying here BYO pillows! The pillows were honestly ridiculous, so thick (like 2-3 pillows put together) and not possible to sleep on.
So we paid $200 to sleep in a bed without any pillows....not ideal!
Also booking confirmation online was for $175 and upon arrival we were charged $196 🤷♀️
L. R.
We were happy with this hotel aside from the parking situation. I’m used to free parking for guests at most hotels and even if it’s not free, there’s usually guaranteed parking if you pay. At this place, we paid for parking for the 3 night duration of our stay. When we returned from dinner one night, all the parking spots were taken up. When we spoke to one of the hotel staff about this, her response was “we can give you a refund, no worries. we have 80 parking spaces and about 150 rooms so what can you do”. I was glad they were happy to give us a refund, but surprised they don’t keep track of how many parking spots are taken and then stop selling them when they’ve reached capacity! Luckily, we were there on a long weekend so there was free street parking. But I’m not sure what we would have done if we were there during the week because the street parking has restrictions at certain times. Other than this issue, the room was clean and staff were friendly.

Terrific service, alwayd happy to stay at QT hotels. Had planned to stay the night on the way back from Melbourne to Sydney. Unfortunately plans fell through, but the staff were more than happy to arrange a last minute free cancellation.

My wife and I went to Canberra to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary 20/11/2020.
I chose The QT for our accommodation and was hopeful that the hotel would deliver what we needed on this very special occasion.
Well!
We were not disappointed, actually really impressed.
The accommodation was lovely with great views, the staff were extremely friendly, the location was central, the food was above average especially the 1kg T Bone share plate and the wine list, more than impressive to any wine lover.
Andrew Thomas Wines and Tyrrell’s from the Hunter Valley were well represented and accompanied by other great brands around Australia and internationally.
The QT has given us a wonderful, memorable experience and we will be going back when we return to The ACT.
Thank you to all at QT.
Regards
Rod and Belinda.

Had a lovely stay at QT Canberra. Great location, with some top quality cafes nearby and an upscale bar downstairs. Generous sized rooms - clean and well maintained. Access to secure parking and close proximity to all of Canberra's local attractions.
P. H.
The perfect place to stay if you expect a bed, clean room, and amazing service. The decor was nice, the view from my room awesome (1213), the Smart TV having native Chromecast Support and the "usual" streaming apps preinstalled was fantastic. If you are a fan of white noise going to sleep, I found my Rooms Air Conditioning to be loud enough to check that box (it was amazing).
For the negatives, the rooms window joins were clearly damaged and needed some TLC (minor problem), the curtains were difficult to get a "proper" seal to prevent that early morning sun, and the pillows were neck breakingly huge (I used one of the throw pillows instead), the Restaurant was a little expensive but it was good quality and delicious.
I would go again, and I would probably eat at the restaurant again.
D. K.
Excellent hotel. The cleanest I have been in, in Australia. Plenty of nice little touches like umbrellas and shoe horn for every room which is great for this price. Funky interior might not be your cup of tea but at least it's fun and the rooms are a more subdude contemporary. The staff were also great. The $25 parking fee was a bit sneaky but I'm happy to overlook that for the overwhelming positive experience.
A. S.
Exceptional hotel. Modern and Uber cool retro all in the one package. Definitely not dull and drab like so many other hotel chains, this is an experience as much as it is accommodation. Brilliant location too, right next to the heart of Canberra, Lake Burley Griffin. Highly recommended!
G. L.
Cool, quirky hotel but room was looking a bit tired (especially bathroom) and not the best facilities. Continental breakfast at $18 is good value for money with a good selection. Stayed on floor 8, room was adequate and bed comfortable, room has TV mini bar etc, everything you need, but nothing above that. Bathroom is a bit small and worn in places. Pillows are very big and fluffy, they should put a smaller size pillow in the rooms to save in neck ache.
K. G.
Nice experience! Clean and really cute decor!
C. B.
Nice view from our 12th floor room, the balcony is more like a pacel shelf and the room is dated. The speak easy place we went to was ok. Staff are excellent. Does not have a pool.
W. E. A. Q.
Nice room great cocktail bar down stairs
K. D. J.
We stayed in the QT suite. The suite was big enough for 4 people and was clean and very comfortable. Unfortunately the service was not great. Check in is at 2pm, they made us wait until 3pm because they had a late check out.... They kindly provided a free drink voucher during the wait, but it was not ideal to have to sit at the bar for an hour after a long trip. Perhaps they should not allow a late check out if the room is already booked. Breakfast was very good. Just don't expect to be greeted with a smile by the staff.
K. &. G. C.
Wonderful stay at the QT staff very friendly and helpful, delicious breakfast served with a smile. Bed comfy but the black chair in the room is the most uncomfortable chair I have ever sat in - needs a cushion ! Great bar
c. 2.
Beautiful and classy area for dining. The drink list was quite comprehensive with choices for everyone. We were only there a short while. We had a mixed cheese platter and the cheeses were of spectacular quality. Will definitely come back for meals. Service was mediocre today but maybe because it was their downtime.
M. T.
We found that the room was small and average, but it had a nice view. The restaurant though was very nice and the food was delicious, so i would rate the restaurant 5 stars.
J. T.
Great food. Good service.
C. S.
We love the QTHotels. We had a lovely weekend, shopping, sightseeing and just relaxing. Food and service at QT are the best, specially by Lillian at breakfast, service with a genuine smile and warmth! We will be back soon.
C. F.
Very cool vibe and decor hotel. The bar had nice music and character in the evening. The location is very good, in the heart of Canberra. The buffet breakfast was very, very good. Tip: book your breakfast on arrival and you usually get a better deal. They have onsite parking for a fee. Nice helpful staff. The room was nice, well equipped, clean and cosy.
R.
The Good - The food is great. Breakfast buffet is superb. The bar makes a great cocktail (But don't ask for a Bloody Mary!).
The Bad - The rooms are small, no safe. They have been nicely modernized but the thin veneer of time is readily apparent under the surface.
House keeping was woeful during my stay but I will just put that down to them having a bad day.
Would I stay again? - yes but only for an overnight stay. That way I avoid House keeping, the small room doesn't bother me so much and I get to enjoy the best feature of the place - the food!
T. H.
Our stay at QT Canberra was great. Our room was extremely comfortable, modern, sophisticated and a tad quirky.
Check in staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Parking available at the hotel for $25 night or $4 for the day across the road on weekends.
Hotel 9/10
Location 9/10
Cleanliness 10/10

The room we stayed in was reasonably priced, and very well appointed. Bed was very comfortable and we liked the general feel of the room itself. Loved the free movie options, such a nice touch!!
We were disappointed with the in room dining menu, it would be nice to have some snack options rather than just main meals. We also didn't receive a complimentary drink, even though as priority members we were meant to. Aside from that no complaints, it was a wonderful stay.
L.
Hotel is amazing and modern. The rooms have everything we needed and a balcony! The capital bar had great cocktails. 10/10 would recommend

Fantastic location in the Civic district. Just a short uber ride from all the big ticket items. The hotel is overall funky with a large bar and restaurant. My room was spacious. We travelled with out 18 year old daughter, she had a room to herself with a double sofa bed. Check-in was easy as. Wifi key given with 2 too room cards. Well stocked mini bar with some items that will make you smile. Good pressure with the hot water in the shower. Would stay here again.
C. J.
Excellent venue for functions with great service and catering.
K. G.
Great service. Good clean rooms. With excellent mini bar. Room service food very good.
J. S.
Decent hotel with good size rooms. The restaurant below will give you a sound feed, but if you've been to the Sydney QT don't expect the same.
While still quite niche, and still offering the same minibar, the overall effort isn't equal to other locations.
D. R.
Disappointing for the price. Expect to have a decent pressure & temperature shower but this wasnt. Comfy bed but pillows like rocks. Couldnt get a drink in the bar past 10pm on a saturday night.
Positives: nice communal areas & bathroom products.
Service let the place down.
c. f. a.
Arranged my nice's wedding there. So impressed with food, service and politeness all the way through. 👍👍👍👍👍 thanks heaps for making the event memorable. Special thanks to Boss man for monitoring the event himself
A. J.
Very comfortable rooms that are uniquely quirky in nature but well thought out. They have loads of movies to choose from and coffee pod machine. Great bar downstairs. Check in and out is smooth. Close too many attraction and the CBD.
G. F.
The QT Canberra is a great hotel, centrally located in Acton. It's a short 15 minute walk to Civic Including restaurants and shopping. Expect rooms to be well maintained, clean and modern. Check-in was easy and pleasant. Lift access from the car park is easy and parking runs $25 per night. Generous Kevin Murphy bathroom amenities. Restaurant food quality is excellent as is the service. I would highly recommend this hotel.
v. g.
As per my last comment, excellent service and great food!
P. M.
Hired the venue and stayed over night. The good: staff were very helpful in the organisation of the evening. The hotel is stylish and has character. Breakfast was nice with a standard range of options. The bartender seemed unfamiliar with the range but still made a decent old fashioned. The bad: I was given a room with two King single beds as opposed to a double, not ideal. The bathroom had several patches of mould including the ceiling. Worth staying at but still relatively expensive for what you get.
N. S.
Brilliant place to stay, in the heart of Canberra, modern and stylish hotel. It has a barber shop, with a discreet and classy Speakeasy tucked away in the back. The "Old Fashioned" made at this bar is perfection.
G. C.
We caught up with an overseas colleague staying in the hotel and found both the bar and the restaurant to be a perfect spot for drinks and dinner. The bar is lively and yet has enough quiet corners to still have an easy conversation. The restaurant was excellent as well, both in terms of the food and the high standard of service.
D. K.
This place was getting 5 star until the breakfast, which I was going to skip. The bacon isn’t cooked, it’s been charred on a grill on one side & is practically raw. The rest of the hot breakfast and coffee is like warm at best. The convenience of having breakfast in the hotel isn’t worth it, go to the cafe down the road.
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable bed and the decor was funky & modern. Will be staying again. Good location for walking to the city shops, 15 minutes
M. S.
Great boutique hotel. The rooms are tastefully appointed, with plenty of delightful little quirks such as Mondrian-inspired glasses in the bathroom, and a cocktail mixer in the room (because why not?).
The junior suite had an additional living room that can be converted into a second bedroom, and a smaller bathroom. Great for families!
H. W.
We received a warm welcome on arrival. The room we had was spacious and very comfortable for two people. We loved the little touches like the cocktail set, super soft robes and fantastic mini bar selection. We also greatly appreciated the views and being in a quiet section of the building.
S. U.
The superior king room is very comfortable with the bed being probably the most comfortable I have ever slept on in a hotel. I want one.
The food from the restaurant is delicous. Staff were very helpful.
I do question the selection of novelty toys/items on the shelf above the fridge. While I get the theme and style the hotel is going for, these gimmicky items kind of lowers the tone overall.
m. j.
Have spent 5 days in the hotel. It has been an enjoyable experience on the whole, the breakfasts are excellent, reasonably priced. The room is comfortable and has as many facilities as I needed. The wifi has worked well, and essential these days. The bed is comfortable. The only evening meal I have had was not so enjoyable, the fish was dry and uninteresting. However the wine choice was good.
I find the music in the public spaces too loud but otherwise the choice is not as jarring as many. Why one needs it at all I don't know.
T. B.
The hotel is well positioned, it looks super cool and the interior is impeccable. Staff were friendly, and I loved the atmosphere and drinks in the bars. The buffet breakfast was something special. The only let down is there is no pool, spa or gym, they charge for bottles of water in the room (a bit rude in my opinion!), and they charge extra for barista coffees at the brunch (also rude considering the brunch is $29 pp). Otherwise I highly recommend!
C. A. C.
We had a memorable time at the QT. The service was excellent & the front desk extremely helpful. Our room was well presented and we could have got lost in the oversized bed! My husband is Coeliac and the dining room staff and chef were wonderful in providing him with lots of beautiful and tasty dishes. Gluten-free food is always a major problem when we are away from home, but not at QT. Thank you for 3 great days in Canberra.
V. Y.
Very well managed hotel from facilities to services. Could feel a good management culture reflected from proactive maintenance to facilities, building a strong dedicated service team, professional operation. Looking forward to exploring other QTs
C. D. S.
The lobby is super cool: an amalgamation of modern art and modern politics.
The staff are a lovely chat and actually helpful. One team member took some time out of his day to detail some clubs and pubs to visit in Canberra CBD.
Only reason that it wasn’t 5 stars is because they couldn’t do much about the standard air con temperature, and our room was quite warm during spring. They did send up a fan around 11pm, which was helpful.
Overall, a pretty seamless stay.
L. M.
This quirky themed hotel was good with decor which wasn't at all your typical hotel blandness. Good value for the price compared to other Canberra hotels.
The restaurant food & service was reasonable price and ample with a great vibe and decor. Its known for its aged steak.
Room was a twin with the only downside being that it was the first room next to the lift well. There was no soundproofing and one could hear every lift move up and down. We gave our feedback to reception and was given an apology and told that all twin rooms were next to the lift. Lesson learnt when booking a hotel ask not to be near the lift.
A. S.
The hotel is visually appealing. The front of house staff were friendly and accommodating. Room itself was nice. Clean. However the air conditioning didn't work in our room. Made the staff aware of the problem, one came up and pressed a few buttons which did nothing. Contacted maintenance apparently who said there was nothing they could do about it. So we were left without air con. We had to then sleep with the balcony door open which wasn't the easiest of things to do with 2 young children in the next room. The thought of them finding an open door to the balcony while we slept was not a good feeling. The lack of assistance from the staff left little to be desired.
S. H.
I love staying at the QT Canberra due to its quirky political aesthetic. The rooms are comfortable and I’ve yet to experience one with a bad outlook. The restaurant is wonderful but after a few years of dining there could do with more menu changes. The staff are good with the occasional standout. A week ago, Anna at the restaurant was an excellent waiter with the bonus of being intelligent and fun. The only negative has been the number of times the room keys have failed to work. Once I was even allocated an already occupied room. Thankfully nobody was there at the time but I felt like an intruder all the same.
D. S.
Service was excellent, room OK, a bit less than what the price would indicate, but nicely furnished. Decor innovative and politically hipster which was fun to experience. Would liked to have had minimalist breakfast at a reasonable price. Dinner was good, timely and well prepared and they made a great vodka martini!
T. R.
My wife and I treated ourselves to the breakfast buffet. We've been there a few other times before, and we love going there. The food is the high quality you would expect. It's all very well thought out. This time, they had heirloom tomatoes cut up to add to your plate. So simple, but brilliant.
M. T.
Used one of the function rooms for a work event, the staff were very friendly and helpful! The catered food was delicious with great range, and although the room was small it was good enough for what we needed, had sound system/PowerPoint screen, etc.
H. N.
Recently spent the weekend in Canberra with friends and stayed at the QT. Room was a good size and we had a small balcony with a view of the Lake. Loved the quirky politically themed bits and pieces - writing pads, post cards; art work etc.
Very cool bar with great views on level 10 (from memory) and the Capital Bar and Grill (ground level) was great for dinner - both service and food were excellent) . The buffet breakfast was one of the best I've had and reasonable at $29 pp.
Hotel is close to everything and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming.
S. C.
We always stay here when we visit Canberra, it's cool and funky, clean and modern and in a great spot. The beds are super comfy and all beds have been upgraded to king size, which is even better. It's in a super convenient location too, we usually walk to a plethora of drink and dining options.
K. M.
Hotel is fantastic. Very cute and hipster. Breakfast left something to be desired. Not much for non meat eaters. No fresh fruit, apart from diced watermelon. Coffee was good. Service was terrible. Blonde waitress had attitude and we really put her out by asking for soy milk for cereal which wasn't on offer, which was odd.
S. T.
Rooms are well furnished, Friendly staff.
On-site restaurant is slightly more expensive then expected but overall great stay
J. H.
Lovely service and comfy bed :)
S. M.
Downstairs entering the foyer the decor and atmosphere are great but arriving at the room the decor is underwhelming and the bathroom unappealing…. This is the unused shower base…

I was visiting Canberra for work purposes and stayed at QT for a night. My experience was no less than amazing. My colleague and I checked-in and decided to have dinner at their restaurant. I am vegetarian and ordered the veg gnochetti pasta from their menu. Unfortunately, the gnochetti type was not available however the restaurant manager said that the Chef will be able to whip up some delicious vegetarian pasta dish and oh boy the pasta dish that was served was no less than delicious. The chef used ribbon pasta and made sure its full of vegetables and falvoursome. One of the best pastas i have ever had. Morever, the next morning i ordered coffee and toast with butter. They made sure that they take their simple toast butter game few notches higher. I was served toast slices with butter, fresh lemon, and blueberry and fig marmalade.
Now talking about their hospitality then i would give them 9/10. Everyone was so courteous, wore a big smile and friendly. All the employees followed all the COVID safety rules.
J. W.
Nice hotel but room card keeps deactivating when I put it in my wallet with other cards. It's been pretty frustrating to have to keep going back down to reception. Update your card technology so that this stops happening to your guests - other hotels can do that so the tech exists.
B. G.
We had a great experience at the QT Canberra. After deciding to plan a quick weekend getaway we decided to stay at the QT and are glad we did. The room was spacious with great styling and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The views of Canberra towards Commonwealth Park and the city were a nice bonus.
We also made the decision to have dinner and cocktails at the restaurant and are so glad we did. The waitress provided incredible service and the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. I had a steak and my partner had the cannelloni - both were very impressive.
Check-in and check-out were fast and easy and the overall service standard at this hotel is very high. When we wanted ice to have a few drinks in our room before dinner it was delivered on just a few minutes.
We look forward to staying at the QT Canberra again in the future and have already recommended it to our friends and family.
K. A.
Excellent Hotel not too far out of the centre of the city. Impressive lobby and restaurant, room is well sized and outfitted with a proper King mattress that was great to sleep on. Best stay in CBR out of more than a dozen.
J. B.
Absolutely amazing if you want a great night in town and a place to retreat to when you're done.
Asked for a couple origami cranes, and they filled the entire bed with paper cranes, flowers, butterflies, the whole lot! Absolutely amazing work!
K. F.
We didn’t stay but we made a last minute booking in the restaurant for 15 people 2 with dietary requirements after our Christmas was changed due to the fires. All staff were professional attentive and patient and that was just booking the event.
Upon arriving they were yet again personable and attentive. Food was fresh and flavoursome and the menu was well thought out and delicious. Thankyou thankyou thankyou

Centrally located in Canberra. We have used his Hotel for many private and profession occasions. Our daughters wedding was held 3 years ago. I was lovely, staff were fantastic.
We have been going to the Buffet Breakfast on Sundays for a few years but last Sunday we went taking my two elderly Aunts it was very disappointing to say the least, not the normal standard. I have sent an email to he QT waiting to her from them.
S. C.
Location is perfect. Great views and central to all activities. Capital restaurant was fantastic the staff were really friendly and helpful. Underground parking good for car although limited spaces. Rooms clean and funky. If your into biking bring your own bike or hire a hotel bike as you are a quick 2 minute ride from lake Burly Griffin.
J. N. K.
Lovely hotel that has everything you need and is in good proximity of the hop on hop off tour bus (Culture Loop, which is free) and the Palace Cinema.
The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful.
The main bar was a bit dreary, my wife wanted to place an order and had to stare at a bartender more focussed on his phone than customers.
The rooms get a bit cold and the air conditioner is not really good to warn it up and the extra blanket in the cupboard wouldn't even be fit for a homeless person hahaha.
Despite some of the above, I would recommend QT Canberra.
M. G.
Very good room and nice staff
N. A.
Not a bad hotel, rooms are clean and tidy but nothing exception. Meeting rooms were spacious. Breakfast was lovely. Certainly worth another visit
M. R.
Celebrated our 1st year aniv in this hotel and it did not disappoint. Very comfortable, clean, service were great, hotel-style was awesome! It's retro/60's vibe was really great. Will surely come back next time!
J. L.
The hotel was in a good central location and was within 5- 10 mins to most places we went to. We stayed in the Junior Suite with our 2-year-old. Good thing was that the suite had adjoining rooms- great for young children. The rooms could've been more accommodating for families and young children- It would've been good to have a bar fridge that had more space to put our child's food & drinks in rather than be fully stocked with hotel drinks. There's no microwave in the suite, so we had to go downstairs to ask one of the kitchen staff to heat things up which was a bit of a bother. More linens in the cupboard would've been good for the extra guest staying on the sofa bed. Other than that staff were friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed our stay.

I got a good deal and was intrigued to stay at QT, not having stayed here for years since the Rydges days. Rooms still have the same footprint since 1974 as the former Rydges, with the QT quirky/playful makeover. Canberrans love functions here, there were multiple during my stay so I would have to say the main bar staff seemed a bit harried: I only ordered the 1 drink. The rooms have surprising little touches, and the political theme is quite cute and the humour seems very Australian. My main criteria are a desk and a comfortable armchair. I would have liked to charge my phone by the bed ( don’t most people?) but the plugs were by the desk.
D. K.
Have recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The ladies at reception as I entered the hotel were friendly and quick to give us access to the room. I loved the new decor and the political theme of the hotel. The room was well laid out with new beds and bathroom facilities. The addition of the Nespresso machine to the room was a nice touch and allowed me to have my morning coffee before I headed out to my morning meetings. The location is not as convenient as I would have liked - as I like to be more central where there are more options to eat out rather than have to walk somewhere for around 20min. I did not eat in the in-house restaurant as I found it quite expensive - so I ate elsewhere. Overall, my stay was quite pleasant and I would stay here again for short stays.

I booked two nights for my daughter's birthday and I was blown away as they arrived they were given a complimentary drink to celebrate her birthday. Brad Martin the manager on duty was so helpful and accommodating it was such an amazing experience for my daughter and her friends. The hotel was different to most hotels you weren't just a number at the QT they made it a memorable one. Thank you
P. S.
Overall the rooms, check in and check and dining experience was good.
The several negatives:
During lunch the piped music was loud making conversation difficult. When requested to tone it down a little all staff responded that they have no control over it as it is controlled externally. Thus no response.
The lift swipe card requirement to access your floor has no instruction in the lift and then people eventually work it out by trial and error but there is no signage and you have to look for this small slot in the lift. Is it that hard to have a small sign that all other hotels do.
To attend the dinner on the 15th floor could not access with room key when using this in the lift. Had to again by trial and error go to reception to get another key. Many attending the dinner had to also find this out - but no communication on the matter and requirement from the hotel or staff.
Fundamental issues which need to be resolved.

Super cool hotel, tres chic.
Amazing selection of in room movies for free.
I've stayed here a few times and they almost get it right. Still ironing out a few kinks in the service.
The make your own Old Fashioned kit in your room is a cute touch. Beautiful glassware.
S. P.
All hair oil & no socks, the rooms appear very lux. But upon closer inspection are very poorly finished. The bathroom in our suite is so small it's for single person use only. Not expected considering the price per room, however the king size bed is unbelievable comfortable & the pillows match the comfort of the bed. Outstanding, if you are using the room simply as a base it's perfect. This place gives the impression of being high class, but the outdated bathrooms and the finishes let it down. The service is average & the shower pressure is a dripple. Also the temperature changes depending on what your neighbours are doing. Cold then warm, then burning. These are the resons for three stars.

The room was perfect. Reception was very good. Breakfast excellent.
Dinner the 2 nights at the Capitol Bar & Grill were disappointing.
Both nights the music was loud and inappropriate
for a good restaurant. Other couples expressed the same opinion.
On the Saturday night we both had The Milanese “alla” I love Mushrooms. It was way over cooked, and being so thin, there was hardly any meat. And it was $42.00! Absolutely terrible. To make it worse, service on the night was non existent. We couldn't wait to leave.
So disappointing, as it is a lovely restaurant, and a perfect Hotel.

Haven’t stayed at the hotel for a while but wanted to say this place has one of the best restaurants in the land! The service and food was as always, amazing and even when reception had a smoke detector going off when the smoke rolled in that night on Summer Nats Saturday and 100 alarms were going off in the CBD. Beautiful team and thanks for looking after our table of 10 👍👍

Hotel room interior is homely, comfortable and hip. The common hotel areas welcoming, relaxed and engaging. The staff communication and care is customer orientated. Definitely consider staying at QT Canberra again!
Thank you QT Canberra for a memorable trip.

Quirky and lots of fun. This place had everybody you need for a long or short stay, business or leisure or even a romantic get away. The hotel is very vintage, especially with its room decor and the stuff you can purchase in your hotel room really work with the general vibe. Great location with many shops and restaurants within walking distance.
I'm very picky with hotel rooms and what they are like and i must say the rim was spacious, plenty of desk space to work from, comfortable bed and a fantastic bathroom which a can't fault. Service here is excellent with great, friendly front of house staff who were ready to assist and please. Well worth it!
P. E.
Great hotel. Staff are amazing, want to do everything they can got you. Rooms are really comfortable and nice. Barsand restaurant downstairs are great, top quality. Hotel has been redone recently and is great. Don't think I can fault our visit, top place to stay, and prices are very reasonable.

From the warm attentive greeting in very first moment to the complementary 1pm late check-out in the last, the stay was as amazing, luxurious and enjoyable as always. The staff are always happy and willing to bend over backwards to help in any way. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We didn't partake in the restaurant this time around, but we know it to be a first class experience. One bartender in particular, left us with an experience that defined our entire stay. My girlfriend and myself decided to have a drink after our dinner out and his passion and personality was inspiring. His suggestion for drinks was spot on, and an old school martini is now my no.1 drink. Taking the time to bring the drinks over to us while we sat in front of the fire, then staying to have a conversation brings a new meaning to service with a smile. He is to be commended, as is the entire establishment. First class all the way!

We chose the QT Canberra for our wedding reception venue. From the minute we walked in, we fell in love with the modern and stylish setup. Our function coordinator presented all our options in an easy to understand manner, and was able to answer any questions we had. We were also impressed with the option to choose between an alternate serve or share platter - we chose the latter as it suited our reception style - we were not disappointed at all.
Both Carolina and Piette took care of our reception needs as if it were their own. They worked in a very professional manner with all our other service providers, ensuring that this entire network worked smoothly towards its goals - and it most certainly did. They also replied promptly to all our concerns and questions - nothing was too much for them to address.
We must also mention the function manager - Shebaz - who delivered an amazing array of food, beverages, fantastic waiter and drinks service, everything was perfect and amazing.
So a big thanks to the QT for an amazing wedding reception experience that has us and all our friends still commenting on how much fun was had. We would strongly recommend anyone planning a wedding reception to put the QT Canberra on your list of considerations - for us it was the best decision we have ever made.

Bed was extremely comfortable. Staff were amazing. However I have one complaint. I love many things in this world that are thick. I like my toast thick, I like my German backpackers accents thick, I like my women, thicc, but my pillow? This bed was amazing. But the pillow was too thick. My body, rested, comfortable and ready to go! But my head was at a 90 degree angle with this pillow. My neck, it pains me. Get me the thinn boi pillow and we'd have us a 5 star rating. You also make a top cup of tea old mate down in the bar. 10/10, fix my thicc pillow and I will qt again. You steam a good ham.

QT Canberra is my favourite hotel to stay at in Canberra, if not in the whole of Australia! High quality, professional, quirky, artistic and most importantly extremely comfortable. Rooms are perfect in every way. I would take the bed home in an instant as it could be the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Choice of in-room consumables is quirky and fun. Bar and restaurant are incredible, as are the party and function spaces. Would recommend to anyone!
R. N.
This place was amazing the drinks and food are so good. The bar stuff are always up for a challenge and will make anything drink. But what made this place was Rosie she went above and beyond anything I thought that would make this place great. She is so helpful and cares about making your visit fun and special. So thank you again Rosie for for being such an amazing person and really making mine and my wife's stay special. Hope to see you and the Qt in canberra again soon.

Great location walking distance to cafes and night life. Awesome breakfast with lots of variety. Room was ok bed was super comfy only dislike was the bathroom no ventilation and was a bit dirty with hair on the bathroom floor.
F. K.
While I did not stay at the facilities, I did have breakfast at the downstairs restaurant! $10 for coffee and pastries and fruit. Not bad but not great either! As always hotel buffet typically just give you lots of mediocre food.
L. T.
The rooms are clean the beds are sooooo comfy, the staff are always nice and friendly, check-in and out is super easy and fast. A staff member knocked and let themselves into our room which I think shouldn't be allowed. If that didn't happen I'd give 5 stars.
L.
I picked this hotel for price and location - cheapest in the city center. And it was close to where I needed to be. The staff was professional, room is OK, little balcony, shower, bed, everything a person might need for 1 night.
S. D.
Friendly staff, only wish had more time to enjoy the hotel. Modern, fun and stylish finishes to the room. Great location. Carpark was a bit too tight but we managed, we would like to come back again.
J. H.
QT is such a fun hotel. The lobby is very quirky and very Canberra. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. The restaurant downstairs looked amazing although I did not have the opportunity to dine there.
G. W.
The accommodation is clean and well laid out. We had a partial view of the lake. No door person but the reception staff are welcoming and attentative. There are however some failings. 1. Only three pods for the Nespresso machine, one of which was decaf. 2. The breakfast provided was pathetic. The hot food was cold or luke warm on one day and on the other none existant. I had to ask if more hot food was coming out. It had not arrived after twenty minutes. Dining in the restaurant for dinner was overpriced for what you got. Highly recommend you dine elsewhere for breakfast and dinner.
W. E.
Going back there again for the 4th time this year. Everything I wanted and needed after a very long trip. Great Parking, Excellent Room, Fantastic View. Service was first class, friendly and happy staff. Could not fault it. Breakfast was really good, and very quiet and casual, warm even. I will be staying there every time I visit Canberra every time I go.
D. P.
Stay at the QT all lot all over Australia, the food is top notch every time 11/10. However this time we requested a pull out bed several times which never came and our luggage took 2 hours to arrive upstairs. They did offer us a room upgrade and free dinner for this inconvenience however.
M. G.
As you drive up to this hotel opened in 1972 it's certainly not evident that the building is that old nor that it's a hotel, its had extensive renovations and looks amazing.
The foyer/reception is a just an amazing inviting place with a very chic decor, quite a Hollywood style you can't look past. A welcoming hustle and bustle coming from the restaurant invites you to have dinner in the hotel restaurant.
The room is again incredible with style and glam. A very colorful design with modern amenities. Again going with a very Hollywood theme but not tacky or over the top.
Fancy an Old Fashioned? There is some wiskey and bitters in the corner complete with glasses and an ice bucket ready to go.
Some funny little nick nacks for sale at the mini bar which fits in nicely with the theme of the hotel.
Some amazing views also.
A solid 5 star for me!
N. L.
Surprisingly cheap rates. Room was clean. However the quality of finishing in room was mediocre. Aircon from Is from the 60’s. Had to leave door open overnight to stay cool. Nespresso coffee was a night touch. So is the free WiFi and movies. Shame there is no pool.
J. H.
cannot highly recommend this place enough. the customer service was spot on. we stayed here about a month ago. been wanting to leave review but have not had the chance! would def come back.
B. F.
Hotel was relatively close to most places I wanted to go to. Restaurant food was great. The room had all facilities and was clean with all necessary facilities but the internet was slow at times. There were plenty of lights in the room but the desk light was the only one that was bright enough to use for reading which makes the reading chair a decoration. Whilst everything was adequate, nothing stood out to distinguish this hotel from others I have stayed at in other cities. This was my first stay in Canberra. There wasn't much local information available.
D. T.
Nice and quiet at the Sky Lounge, great view of the city and surrounds. Had our bar bites never show up, but they refunded with sincere apologies. Would recommend for a nice, classier venue to end your day at.
B. P.
I spent two days and one night at QT for business meetings. The decor is very trendy and the theme runs throughout the building. Spectacular breakfast buffet and bar. Lunch at the restaurant was expensive but generous portions and great presentation with theatrical service (they poured the soup at the table, etc). Customer service was great in all areas from checkin to departure.
Our meeting room was well appointed with free wifi, water and mints, and the morning tea and lunch catering delicious. A special thank you to Naz for coordinating our two days with great customer service and accommodating our last minute dietary req. and tending to any of our other needs like nothing was too much for him.
My hotel room was spacious, clean, well appointed mini bar, quiet, and the shower was nice and hot. The bed was very comfy and bedding was nice. I was on the second floor. My colleagues were likewise very happy with their rooms.
I would definitely come here again and highly recommend it for functions and lodging. Thank you QT!
K. H. (.
Amazing service with great rooms. Very well appointed with some great items available in the room for purchase that are sure to solve many last minute problems.
A great bar and grill is also located on the ground floor with very good food, and generous servings.
Parking is available at the hotel and you are central to plenty of great attractions. Floriade, Questacon and much more is a 20-30 minute walk or 5 minute drive.
Would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway.

I was recently a guest at the QT Canberra. I accidentally left behind a cloth bag with washing in my room when I checked out. I called the hotel Friday 5.30 pm who said they could only check lost property Saturday morning and would call me back. After no response in the morning, I called the hotel who told me the bag was not in lost property. They could provide no explanation for what happened to the bag- thrown away, stolen. House keeping reported no bag was in the room. I was pretty upset about losing a bag of clothes. I was told the "we are not responsible for items left behind in the hotel". Two hours later I received a call they have located my clothes. House keeping have now reported they did find my bag and sent it to dry cleaning with no label or name from a room where the guest had vacated. I received no apology from the hotel.

Funky boutique hotel, it can be so much better than what it is now... When I arrived at check-in counter staff wasn't friendly without any greetings and give many unnecessary questions eventhough all information were there. Finally I got the room key and tried to get into the room and other guest was already in the room, so I went down to check in desk and asked her, you gave me the room some one already checked. And she asked me "Why?" Without apology... when I checked it the room, one of vodka bottle was open from the minibar and the shelve and other merchandise covered with dust.

Went down for two nights over the weekend and was overwhelmed with the hospitality provided by this hotel! Notably Jack (Jake? Jeff?) and who I can only assume was the food and beverage manager (extra bonus points for floral suits) who provided us exceptional service in the bars and great reccomendations for our stay.
Would definitely recommend QT Canberra for any trip, long or short!
C. W.
Great location. Comfortable, nicr buffet breakfasts and close to lake for a bit of exercise too. Only negative would be not enough onsite parking for all guests, so it fills up quickly on weekends.
G. C.
QT Canberra is one of my favourite places to stay. Always welcoming and accommodating. Unfortunately I never get to spend as much time eating and drink there as I like due to my primary reason for being in Canberra requiring me to work all hours. But the rooms are great, restaurant is great, breakfast is great.
S. P.
While getting a little dated this is a comfortable and well-located set of apartments with a small, well-equipped gym, pool and spa. I appreciated that when I identified a maintenance issue with my room that could not be quickly fixed, the staff promptly relocated me to another room.
K. E.
Great room, comft bed, good shower and convenient location. Breakfast wasn't included ($29 extra per person) so we opted out. Parking was $15 extra, we weren't told this before checking out. Otherwise very impressed.

Excellent hotel. Check in was fast and service was lovely. Hotel room is great with lots of nice touches. The mini bar is very well stocked with a wider range than you often see. Love the Mondrian glasses.

My partner and I made the windy drive from Sydney to stay at QT Canberra because we absolutely loved QT Sydney (it's our honeymoon spot). The pay for one night at full rate, get the second free offer made it hard to resist. The woman at the front desk (I wish I had gotten her name) was beyond welcoming, she had been able to honor our requests for a lake view on a higher floor, etc. I love the whimsical tongue-in-chic design of all the QT locations and the political bent to the Canberra hotel was really refreshing. Off to a great start. The rate for in-house parking is reasonable and the complimentary drink is a sweet touch. Our room was a little small but I like cozy. First thing I wanted to do was to rinse off the 4 hour drive. A bit of a mildew problem in the shower area but that's often the issue with open shower floor plans. Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't clean in ways that are completely preventable: there were pubic hairs all over the bathroom floor, toothpaste coated with a layer of black fuzz caked onto the sink, and the glassware had clearly been used as a toothbrush holder by the previous inhabitant and not washed before our arrival. The tray that houses the remote control and hotel info was also quite filthy, full of grime and hairs. It really tainted the rest of my experience feeling that our room was also likely unclean in ways that were less obvious. I never really felt comfortable as a result. We ate two dinners at the Capitol Bar & Grill. Food was tasty if a bit overpriced. Staff was lovely. There was a minor incident with the in-room air con that was remedied first thing in the morning. Wish I could give a more shining review. Makes me a bit hesitant to book with QT again with such hit and miss experiences. I was really hoping to make QT my go-to staycation destination.
L. L.
Superb hotel which put up an exceptional event we attended. When we got there my partner had an issue with her shoe which the bartender helped us to address: we were so grateful he was able to save our night! The food was first rate: fresh Sashimi and oysters, a massive cheese and fruit buffet, and delicious canapes including zingy lobster rolls and beautifully decorated petit fours for dessert. The French champagne and excellent cocktails flowed all night, and the entertainment was well selected to set an elegant mood... later turning up the dial to "Party"! We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and we'd recommend this venue for any special event, or a fun night out!
n. p.
Very friendly staff! I found the decor a little quirky throughout the hotel and in each room, although I could see what they are going for. The location is fine if you're taking a taxi/Uber to locations throughout the Canberra CBD and further, but it's a bit far to walk if you need to get into the CBD (approx 20mins).
B. H.
QT Canberra is a slick hotel that has an awesome vibe as soon as you set foot inside. I was there attending a work event and staff were very friendly. The place is kept very clean and the the food that was catered was delicious. I wouldn't mind going to the hotel again.
S. M.
Such an amazing room, staff where helpful where possible. Great hotel for young couples or people who want an alternative to the traditional. Buffet breakfast is the best I've ever had and the dinner is just wonderful.
R. C.
Booked online not having stayed at a QT before, and signed up for the free VIP membership which gave us 10% off the room rate. But that was just the beginning! When we checked in, we also received a free upgraded room, and a free drink at the bar. The room was delightful, and the bar was excellent - great vibe to the place. Because it was a holiday in Canberra, we wound up staying and dining there as well (which was exceptional), only to find we also got 20% off at the restaurant with our VIP membership! So, all in all, pretty much the ideal hotel experience.
My only minor suggestion would be that, if you're prepared to throw in so many other perks for VIP members, why not throw in parking as well? $12/day isn't unreasonable, but I'd rather have had that than a drink at the bar - though I can see why you want to encourage guests to sample the bar & grill, so that makes sense.
C. C.
Overall good experience. They have plenty movies to watch in room, some of them are quite new. Breakfast buffet is great but if not peak season there may not be buffet but just normal cafe food to order. A bit far from where shops and restaurants are located but if you have car this is not a problem.
L. W.
My family and I had a great stay at the QT Canberra on our way back from a week long road trip to Victoria. The room was so comfortable, the kids movie choices so good and the room service so tempting that we stayed in for the night instead of going out to our dinner reservation!
P. A.
A good hotel in an an excellent location. Staff were helpful without being obtrusive.
Decor is not standard hotel chain issue with artworks and exhibitions in the public spaces
The restaurant is very good with an excellent chacuterie section and the steak was up there with the best
E. T.
I really like the hotel overall, the vibe is fun and its got everything you need. I checkin in early and slowly over the course of my stay noticed my room hadn't been cleaned properly. I found a plastic razor cover in the shower (not mine) and on leaving, found a pair of socks under a ledge that weren't mine. I'm sure the bed had been changed but not sure the rest of the room had been cleaned!
M. F.
We enjoyed the hospitality of this modern Hotel. Unfortunately, we had a room near the lift and we could hear it moving up and down during the night. This disturbed our sleep.
The music in the lounge area was a bit loud when trying to talk to our friends.
D. M.
I loved my room. The beds were fantastic. The only disappointing thing was that it wrapped around the elevator shaft. It sounded like a plane was taking off, making it hard to fall asleep and woke us up. I'm sure that had I been in the room next door I would only have positive things to say.
J. C.
Hotel was chosen for location to Canberra Theatre and I am a PGR member - however the awesome, witty communication, the staff's pleasant manner and the amazing rooms and restaurant are reasons enough to want to stay here more often! We arrived an left feeling really good about all of it, can't recommend highly enough
J. H.
'Boutique' hotel that is clearly an old hotel tarted up. Or at least that's how it feels. Odd design choices, like massive paparazzi plastered on the lift wall, a pillow with a stylised dog, and weird wall art sculptures. My main complaint was the bathroom door, which barely closed but also didn't stay open properly. Hinge looked to be 50 years old. Bathroom was clean but on closer inspection paint job was looking old. Bed was very soft (I prefer firmer mattresses). Nespresso pods were custom pods (not original nespresso) but tasted alright. Mini bar is a bit of a mess, loads of souvenirs (an 'I ❤️ Fireworks' cap?), packed onto a tiny shelf. Strange cocktail setup in the corner with instructions to make an Old Fashioned, which is cool until you realise it costs $15 to make yourself. No concierge to help us with our baby stuff, but the receptionist kindly pulled double duty to help us out. Limited parking but the car park across the street did fine. Cheaper, too. Nice views, cosy rooms, kept very warm though, and aircon took a while to cool it down.
C. L.
awesome staff quirky def a lot of character here lol. i loved breakfast. food is good. bit costly but nice dining . i love meat but notoced not a lot avail for vegetaorians. room service good. the room is but small but view great and has everything i want i guess. love the lightswitch and elecrtical switch next to bed . nice atmosphere. if only i had a jacuzzi or spa or just a bath.

We are regulars with QT and have always found the stay to be comfortable and accommodating. During our stay at QT Canberra however was a little disappointing, we tried multiple times to call Bar and Grill with no one picking up the phone and had to call across to reception to book a table. We paid for daily parking and yet whenever we tried to find parking, there was absolutely no parking spots available left, we then had to park our car out front of the hotel. I think a great improvement QT (in general) could make is to add movie posters in their movie selection. It's usually the small things combined together that can make a stay be from good to great. A small change like adding visual posters/images to the movie selection would've definitely made the stay far greater.
K.
The QT Lounge is one of Canberra's best kept secrets. Tucked away on the top floor of QT Canberra, it is the perfect place for Friday night drinks or a date with that special someone. The views of Canberra at night are spectacular and the bar staff are always welcoming. Enjoy some tunes from the resident DJ, order something from the carefully curated bar menu and enjoy a nice quiet drink. Would definitely recommend
C. S.
Not stayed here, but have been to some events. QT is a funky upgrade of an older style hotel - regular events and exhibitions. The restaurant is terrific and there is an old school barbershop, where men can enjoy a shave and Chivas Regal.
K. B.
Had a great stay at QT and will definitely stay here again the rooms are great beds are so comfy. It just has a great feel about it. Staff were very professional and the breakfast was amazing could not fault anything loved it
T. A.
Top notch, centrally located near CBD and a short stroll to Australian National University. Great vibe and cool tunes playing throughout the foyer area. Quirky things to look out and very clean and modern.
Alas the restaurant, don’t miss the great quality food and local produce. Variety to choose from from meat, vegan to seafood.. plenty to choose and a constant change of menu is always a good thing!!
Very accommodating for ppl with food allergies too.
Last but not least the hospitable staff and impeccable customer service certainly won me over.
One staff to look out for is Enja, a lady with complete knowledge of food and service

Stayed at your lovely boutique hotel over the weekend for a Conference & unfortunately l must of caught a bug on the plane, after being sick most of the first night l made my way to register for conference the next morning where l made a dramatic entrance in foyer & collasped! Big shout out to the lovely & caring Sophie on reception who came to my aid until the ambulance arrived!! so again thanks and to your other amazing staff who were very caring also!💞

QT Canberra looks great and is a comfortable hotel. The beds and pillows are just the right level of firmness, the amenities are aplenty and staff pleasant.
Areas where the hotel could improve? We were locked out of our room at 1015am (although check out was 11am) after heading back upstairs after breakfast. Then when we thought we'd do the express check out online we discovered we couldn't access the basement carpark anymore and had to go via the lobby to check out anyway. And then ask for a new card to access the carpark (surely staff should register that a guest has a car in the carpark when they've paid for parking?)
We had lunch at Capitol Bar and Grill which was nice but I've got to say the burger would be ten times better if they removed the dry toasted brioche bun and opted for a soft milk bun instead (brioche is not the only option for burgers!) We were also ignored for twenty minutes after our meal was finished as the restaurant was short staffed and had a large conference group dining with them.
Breakfast was of a pretty high standard. Though the scrambled eggs were terrible the nicely cooked bacon made up for it. The freshly sliced/shaved charcuterie always hits the spot. And the coffees were on point.
We'd definitely stay at the QT again but some small tweaks would help lift the customer experience from good to great.
A. M.
I recently went to the QT for a professional event however I have also stayed in one of their rooms. It's a wonderfully modern hotel and 4 stars is an understatement especially when you take into account capital bar and grill. Wonderful place.
M. T.
Enjoyed our stay. Easy to book and check in. Well presented and comfortable room. Good facilities and location giving us some options for dining and entertainment. We will be back.
S. K.
Really enjoyed my stay at QT Canberra. Room was lovely and quite. Located close to city centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very classy hotel. Parking can be a problem.
E. D.
The bed was so comfy. Room clean. Really enjoyed the bar and grill downstairs would stay here again
L. M.
Rooms are good but the bar service is hopeless. Takes far too long to get a drink and when you are drinking $28 drinks you would think they'd hurry a bit. Expensive drinks as well. We ended up leaving this afternoon to find somewhere else. They had a wedding reception on and only one bar attendant!

This hotel is 10km from Canberra airport and right in the heart of the Canberra CBD, only a few minutes’ walk from the Department store, cinema and restaurants. It is also only a very short drive to the Parliament House, National archives, Art Gallery, Questacon and more. It really is in a top location.
We would describe this as a luxury boutique hotel that would be considered quite ‘kitsch’, mostly of a political pop art style decoration. This can be observed as you enter the hotel, with art representing political figures, a hall of mirrors, reception staff in power suits and all round clever theming.
The hotel as 205 rooms, with plenty of spaced and featuring some cool art. Rooms have a bar fridge complete with supplies, a coffee machine and kettle as well as snacks and products for sale. We also really appreciated the free wi-fi and complimentary movies.
The hotel has an onsite bar called “Lucky’s”, a barber in the hotel for shave, beard trim or haircut and there’s also free on site free parking.
It is a short 5 minute walk to plenty of great restaurants in the city, but if you’d prefer to eat in, the hotel has Capitol bar and grill with an Italian themed concept devised by food director Robert Marchetti with entrees like oysters, steak tartare and antipasto plates to name a few. For the mains, they have plenty of seafood options of seafood and amazing cuts of steak cooked on the wood fired grill. It is in this restaurant where the buffet breakfast is served. As far as hotels go, this was a good buffet – deli meats freshly sliced, baked goods, roasted granola and fresh fruit and yoghurt, as well as hot food. There’s regular tea and coffee, but if you’d prefer a proper latte or cappuccino, it comes at an extra cost.
We stayed for the package deal “Rome: city and Empire” which is extremely good value. Priced at $245 + (as the website states), but ours was $225 on the Sunday. This was for the room, on site parking, movies, buffet breakfast for 2, 2 tickets to the Rome Exhibition at the Australian museum and an exhibition book. This exhibition brings over 200 objects from the British Museum to Australia.
So, if you’re exploring the nation’s capital, this is a great place to stay and we recommend the Rome package
Note – there is no pool, spa or fitness centre (something I normally look for in a hotel

I recently stayed here for 3 nights. From the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out. I have nothing but praise for the staff. They were all very friendly and helpful. I last stayed here in 2005 and this hotel has been renovated since then. Close to all amenities. I will be back in 5 weeks.
N.
The staff could not help enough, from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out. The staff assisted and offered services. Silver service.. NO... It is more GOLD STANDARD. I would recommend this establishment to anyone visiting the Canberra city area. Close to amenities, friendly staff, awesome restaurant and bar area. Not to mention the vibe at the entrance on arrival.

QT never disappoints. They have curated the best (most functional and aesthetically beautiful) of everything in the hotel. From the luxuriously soft dressing gowns to the Nespresso Coffee Machine, everything has been carefully considered. The highlight of staying at QT is always the breakfast and we never tire of it.
S. B.
The breakfast although expensive was fantastic. The toilet backed up 1st night there, this was also reported by other guests that staying. TV had to be rebooted by staff and the room & balcony are in need of some TLC. For the price not really up to scratch. Free Wi-FI through out really good reception.

Overall very good EXCEPT for the damn music blasting out in every public area. I was with a group of people one night trying to find a quiet place to talk and couldn't manage it...even out on the back deck it was way too loud. In the breakfast area every morning - full bore music to the max and the staff said they couldn't turn it down. Even walking down the flaming corridor to the toilet on the ground floor was an ordeal....loudest place of the lot.
I love music but come on - give me a break!
It would seriously put me off coming back.
T. K.
Interesting & new décor, I liked it. Nice tidy room & bathroom with fabulous view. Very comfortable. There were two downfalls, the first being the cleanliness of the bathroom it could have been cleaner & the second was the extra $12 charge for carparking.
A. M.
Disappointed there was no parking but the receptionist who checked us in moved a car for us so we got parking - that was very kind of her.
The rooms were no where near QT Sydney. but the ground floor was quirky. Two of the three lifts were broken which meant we had to wait for over 20mins to go for breakfast, get back to our room and then checkout - really not acceptable.
A. S.
Easy and comfortable stay in transit. The bathroom is shabby; the bed is comfortable; the car park has lift which can take you straight to your room. The breakfast is overpriced. Overall not bad but you won't want to stay here for long if you are looking for a holiday hotel.
D. S.
Not bad - walls were paper thin and we could hear the alarm clock going off from a room down the hall but the accommodation seemed relatively clean and tidy.
Nice decor and friendly staff.
S. W.
Easy short stop over night cap drinks with work colleagues
R. S.
The most astounding hotel breakfast buffet. Such variety, whether you choose the full or the continental breakfast. You can't go past the rainbow coffee. Great ambience and fit-out.
T. R.
An absolutely wonderful hotel to stay in Canberra. Great staff and really plush rooms. Total worth for your money. Try the steak at the hotel. I've heard it's bloody darn good!
S. H.
Everything was excellent but I hate how guest have to struggle to find parking. Even after paying for parking there is no guarantee that you will find parking. I went through the different parking spots in the hotels atleast 3 TIMES but still wasn't able to find parking. Being new to Canberra I didn't know any other place to park.
Apart from that everything else was great. We loved morning breakfast and room was also good (a bit small but that didn't bother us that much). Very convenient location.
A. C.
At short notice, I booked your Encounters package during the recent Easter long weekend. On the eve of our arrival, I was offered the opportunity to pre check-in. From a list of a half a dozen, or so, room preferences (e.g. room size, one or two beds, tea coffee maker, etc., etc.), I simply chose 'one bed' & 'best view' .
On our arrival, I was greeted by a delightful young lady (who also checked us out 2 days later in the same very pleasant manner). We were allocated us room 1111. Our room was everything we could have hoped for. So much so, that we were reluctant to give it up on Sunday morning and very tempted to stay another evening. However, the need to beat the traffic back to Sydney the following day won out.
We enjoyed our dinner in your restaurant, and our breakfasts each morning. The only thing we found a little off putting was the audio level of the music being played during our dinner on Friday evening. We thought it was too loud, however, we do appreciate that you may be reaching out to a younger market, and happily accept that.
While it was the Encounters exhibition that drew us to Canberra this Easter weekend, your room 1111 will forever hold fond memories for us, and hopefully we will visit you again sometime.
A. R.
Wonderful decor in the foyer and bar areas on the ground floor. Conference rooms were nice and well lit with just a few flickering light bulbs letting it down. Catering was spot on, the chicken and cous cous was fabulous.
T. G.
I attended a ball at the QT recently and the room the ball was held in was decorated beautifully, the food was amazing, the staff were great and the facilities first rate. I did not stay overnight at the hotel so cannot comment on that side of it but the event itself was very good.
R. H.
Very comfortable with an artsy vibe. Staff were excellent. Had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant - dinner was exceptional but breakfast was well-below average. I would stay here again though as overall it was great.
M. B.
Wonderful location and Ease of access. Trendy Rooms and awesome presentation. Loved it. Would definitely recommend the hotel..!! However we went during the floriade and the parking was all full, still there is plenty of cheap parking around the hotel and we had no issues. Would definitely visit again..!!
S. A.
We were a little disappointed overall with our stay. Our bathroom floor was grubby so you didn't feel like going barefoot in the shower. The lobby blared loud and obnoxious music you had to raise your voice to be heard over - some poor man was getting visibly frustrated trying to read his morning paper. Location was really good, but we probably won't be back...
T. M.
it was a pleasant stay but the service could be better, reception at check in was kinda rush and not very hospitalityI think QT wanna set a cool image plus luxury hospitality but the staff didn’t make it cool called to reception for some …
O. N.
When I first went in the room, I first attracted to the cushion cover on the chair near the window and the designer decor on the wall. I was also impressed by the selections of the mini bar. The room was cosy and warm without drying the air in the room which gave me a good rest.
D. C.
The barber is fantastic, knows his stuff and does a brilliant job. I've been wet shaving for years and really enjoyed the experience.
The food in the restraunt is good but not exceptional however it is priced as though it where.
t. r.
Great place, should have been for the price. Quirky artwork of federal politicians highlighted the Canberra location.
The barman made a better Margarita than most 5 star hotel's in Sydney!
M. V.
I enjoyed the quirkiness of the hotel, and the central location offered easy access to shopping and the major Canberra attractions. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed and free movies and wi-fi help if you want to spend more time in your room. We will certainly return in the future.
G. B.
The staff are just wonderful. In particular I would like to commend Jason in the Capitol Bar and Grill and Michelle in Reservations for her help with organising my Local Experience (Segway). We love QT hotels and Canberra did not let us down. The room was a little on the small side and so I was disappointed I was not able to have the upgrade that my platinum membership of GHA offers. However the room was well appointed with all the quirky characteristics of a QT hotel.
R. M.
We all liked the hotel and the views from the rooms. Unfortunately it is showing signs of wear and tear in the bathrooms but all clean.
We objected to paying $70 + for a small bottle of Mumm from the well stocked Mini bar -- obviously most guests are on expense accounts not private travellers. I wish everyone would stop ripping off the travellers in this way.
We apparently had a complimentary drink offered at Lucky's but did not find out till checkout, quel domage.
J. S.
Was a lovely room. Only issue we had was with the air-conditioning. It was only blowing out heat, and wouldn't go below 23 degrees. We called maintenance to check it out. Basically told us that it was working and that was it. Had to sleep with the balcony door open, to get some air. Other then that, it was an okay stay
J. L. P.
Stayed here once before, on opening night by chance. On that occasion we unexpectedly enjoyed free food and drinks. Curious to see what it was like a few years later, in normal circumstances, we booked for a night on our way back from the South Coast to Sydney. Still a quirky and quite nice hotel, but with a few irritants. The drinks waiter rather mumblingly asked us whether we wanted sparkling, still or tap water (and with the background noise of chatter and unnecessary piped music he was hard to hear). Absentmindedly I opted for still water, which came in a bottle and cost us $10. My fault for not being a bit more switched on I suppose and realising what the game was. And then at breakfast, which at $29 a head was top dollar, I was asked what sort of coffee I wanted, to which I said "flat white". Didn't realise that was an extra $4. I've never been charged extra for coffee at breakfast in a hotel restaurant before. And then at checkout there was the unavoidable credit card fee, whether you used Amex or not.
And after a few years, the place is looking a little tired. The carpets are a bit worn and scruffy and the woodwork in our room needed a repaint, for example.
L. L.
I asked for a higher floor room, and was allocated a beautiful room on the 13th floor. your service is consistently good, breakfast beautiful, I have never disappointed at staying in your hotel, and your price is very reasonable, it ticks all the boxes, so I never book anywhere else when I visit Canberra. My son studied in ANU for the last 5 years, and my daughter is now studying at ANU for the next 3 years, so I am sure there are plenty of opportunities that I will stay at QT again and again. :)
T. I.
Everything was fine apart from room service menu and parking. One day we were too tired to go out or didn't want to go to the Capital bar for dinner and pretty much had nothing to order around 8.30PM. They simply didn't want to at least do a Chicken club sandwich instead of a Turkey one which they had in the menu. That was disappointing, had to go for a pizza delivery.
Parking was a hassle, parking was full all 3 days, parked in the Wilson paring. Even after a big night have to wake up at 8am to go put a parking ticket. If the hotel had a some sort of an agreement or a special ticket or something or a card to put inside the car would have been the ideal scenario.
There are 4 Fox sports channels in the hotel TV but actually there are 6 or 7 sports channels in Fox. Missed watching the World T20 Cricket games as they showed it on a Fox sports channel which was not in QT.
Apart from these concerns it was a good experience at the hotel. All the staff was fantastic.
I. W.
Went to QT hotel for drinks at the Skylounge. Very nice setting with a good view. The thin curtains, took away some of this view, but overall, great place to go have a nice drink and relax.
J. H.
Always good for a night or two. The staff are friendly and the hotel facilities are quality throughout - with a funky design twist. The onsite restaurant and bars ensure that the business traveler is well looked after. Thanks QT!
M. P.
When you visit QT Canberra and you pass a staff member and they say hello, you honestly believe that it was not something management has asked them to say, but it was something that came from their heart. Outside looks unassuming, inside a palace.
Had a great time and look forward to my next visit to Canberra
Thank you

I travel to Canberra very regularly for business. I only ever stay at QT Canberra as the staff make me feel like it is my home away from home. The views are amazing, the breakfast extravagant and there is a secret bar hidden behind the barber. How cool is that
c. h.
Your staff were great, we had a delicious dinner one night, public spaces are cool but we booked a standard room which had a shared balcony with everyone else on level 2 - not entirely cool in terms of privacy.
M. B.
There is absolutely no-where else in Canberra I would rather stay. I have been travelling to Canberra for work for nearly 5 years and only recently discovered the QT Hotel. A little bit out from the city centre area, this is a hotel that may be overlooked, but certainly should not be.
The décor and atmosphere of the hotel are truly unique and second to none, and I would rate the friendlessness and professionalism of the staff even above that. Every single room I have stayed in has been beyond excellence (and they have a mini-bar so whimsical and varied, I could recommend staying here almost for that alone).
L. G.
I love the new refurb. Finally someone is promoting what Canberra is famous for. Now my favourite place to stay in Canberra. Very chic. Bars and restaurants look great too. Although $38 for a steak with nothing else on the plate was a bit crazy and each side $10. Won't be eating there again.
T. H.
Really funky design, super close to the CBD, had a ball chasing the rabbits and possums across the road (I wanted to cuddle them) will definitely be back. Friendly staff and super clean, although the walls are a bit thin we got a noise Complaint that the TV was too loud (it was on 20) so not sure if next door had their hearing aid set on POWER RANGER or walls are Japanese rice paper thin... either way great place thanks ;)
B. L.
Reasonable rates. Very friendly and attentive staff and there is a QT club with discounts. Underground parking (small cost) available for guests. Has a political theme in the motifs which is fun if you are into Aust political history!
B. C.
Attended a social function at QT where the guests were less than ideal, but all the staff were fantastic and handled the situation with aplomb. Food was fantastic and the venue itself was clean and stylish.
P. M.
Exhibition space was great. The catering was also very good. The hotel itself is so funky and cool. Companies should definately consider running their corporate functions out of this site
M. R.
Had a formal dinner at the QT hotel. The location is beautiful, very classy and the service was excellent. Only negative is that the main course of the meal only consisted of meat with virtually no sides.
H. M.
Great stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, had a nice view of the lake and free in room movies (new releases too)!
A.
It's a nice clean hotel but nothing special about it. No facilities (spa, pool, etc), no bathtub in a room, overly priced for what it has to offer. Good location, interesting take on art.
K. D.
Great atmosphere and helpful staff. 3 day stay included a day of ill health. Check the room service menu. Very small range. Could i have the toasted sandwich on the night menu for lunch? No?!...made another choice including mashed potato. Arrived with mash substituted for fries. How do you run out of mashed potato?. Great to be able to open the balcony door as the aircon is not great Shame so many are smoking. The underground carpark is a challenge unless you have a tiny car. Best concierge service ive had in a while. If room service was improved id give it 5 stars
A. P.
The hotel has been renovated with a trendy theme and the restaurant is excellent. Room had everything need but it was on the smaller side and it wasn't well insulated against noise from adjoining rooms.
K. D.
QT was modern, quirky and comfortable. The breakfast spread was fantastic and the catering at our meeting and dinner function was great. Staff are happy and helpful - great service.
S. B.
Attended a conference at QT. The food and service was very good. There might be an air conditioning vent near a smokers area because each afternoon the room was smoky. Otherwise a very good venue.
D. T.
Check in was straightforward. PGR tier recognised and late check out granted. Room itself was a disappointment. Booked a junior suite for the extra space, but didn't end up using the living area, as it was dark, uncomfortable and not very inviting. Didn't like how I had to enter through the bedroom area, as the living room does not open from the outside. Would be better if the furniture was better split better the living and bedroom, instead of being mostly concentrated in the bedroom.
C. S.
QT Canberra kind of surprised me. It has attitude - but some of it seems to have been done on the cheap with some fixtures and fittings being a bit tacky. The car park was hopelessly full when I was there, yet the front desk kept letting more and more people in despite there being no spaces. That said, I had a good sleep and enjoyed the stay.
C. B.
Great stay
Our breakfast waiter from I think Brazil was lovely to talk to and made the experience just perfect
D. G.
Staff polite and facilities ok, but regret to say that the men's toilets did not smell good at all and I could find no hand driers or paper towels. Had to make do with flimsy hand tissues.
L. W.
Small rooms, loud aircon and loud lifts affect comfort and sleep. It's a bit run down and the whole "vibe" feels a touch cheap and forced. Service can be hit and miss. It's an OK backup plan when Canberra gets busy.
D. J.
Nice hotel, friendly staff and very central with a funky design. The rooms are a bit tired but nothing serious.
W. F.
Great hotel. Excellent bar, and restaurant. Food was fantastic. Staff too.
G. T.
Always clean and efficient. The carpark can fill up even if you've paid for parking which is disappointing. They need to do something about guests smoking around the front door too, walking into a plume of second hand smoke isn't the best first impression.
H. G.
Stayed here for a conference in June 2019. Decent hotel that served the purpose. Restaurant had good quality food and a varied menu.
M. M.
I was able to book this hotel online through Trivago and made mentioned that I will be checking in abit earlier than then usual time. Was able to checked in and spend 3 days on the 6th floor room 5.The room was great, all prepared and waiting for me. I had a great view from inside the room looking out. Unfortunately I did not have time to time to dine from the hotel. Had to leave early hours to the airport on Saturday morning and staff on duty was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely choose it again when I decide to go to Canberra next time as it was in the centre of the city and all facities I need to use were within working distance.
R. D.
I stayed at the QT Canberra over Christmas for 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. The food and bev offering, unique hotel concept and location is pretty unbeatable. Lucky for us Gowings Bar and Grill was about the only place open in Canberra for tourists for a nice meal so needless to say we were four days in a row :) ... the only downfall for us was that we had airconditioning issues due to a fault to the system following a storm. Other than that, a great stay all round.
S. T.
Comfortable room, bathrobe supplied but no slippers. Room service is great, and complimentary wifi and new releases movies are a nice perk. There in no gym though
M. S.
Attended a conference here. Excellent, modern facilities, very good bar downstairs, sophisticated and understated. Pleasant staff and good catering for morning tea and lunch.
D. F.
Not a bad hotel but a few slight frustrations. Slow internet, bizzare lifts and noisy air-conditioning make it a bit of a let down. Great staff, solid breakfast and a nice bar make up for it a bit.
P. T.
Another quality act in the QT lineup. Room service can be a bit slow to answer the phone, but every other aspect shone. Great breakfast spread, and next time I'll leave time at one end to try out the barber.
M. P.
Great place to stay, the food is beautiful. Customer Service is exceptional. I highly recommend staying at the QT Canberra
N. Z.
Clean room, friendly staffs. The location of the hotel is really convenient, 12 mins walk to the City
A. S.
facilities are very good , restaurants bars etc. The room was spacious and comfortable bedding. The only drawback was the heating did not work and on a cold night it made things uncomfortable.
S. B.
We stayed in the QT Hotel for a weekend in Canberra. The hotel is a lot of fun with a political theme. The room is well appointed, and the cocktails in the bar we're enjoyable.
J. F.
Rooms are nice, mini bar is awesome, loved mixing my own drinks. Foyer is funky and welcoming though some would say the music is too loud.
W. B.
Bed nice and comfy ,room was excellent and noise factor was zero. Staff from check in to check out were professional and helpful. Breakast was good , the breakfast area is very pkeasing and staff excellent. All round an excellent place to stay.
K. T.
It was a great boutique hotel. Would've liked some basic kitchen items like bowls/cutlery in the room should we end up ordering out and staying in. Shame we only stayed one night as I would've liked to see more of the hotel i.e. Bar, restaurant, lounge etc.
W. W.
Pretty good service. The rooms was a little run down. Excellent location and free hire bikes - thanks! Excellent restaurant - upgraded to 4 stars.
p. c.
Apart from the cobwebs aound the window frame, all pretty good.
Staff all on the young side and had that flippent overly casual attitude, like being served at McDonalds
Booking though a hotel web site, was quoted around $250.00
Was charged around $350.
BAD.
R. H.
very good staff. bar service was good. dinner and breakfast no dramas. i thought the breakfast spread was excellent. room was fine and air con worked well
D. W.
Great value for money in Canberra and loved the quirky political theming throughout the hotel! Also the in-house movie collection was so good we decided to stay in!
M. D.
On the edge of Civic and walking distance to shops.
Perfect for a stroll to Floriade.
Rooms slightly dated but functional
Political theme to the décor
Breakfast was lovely but service was slow (on a long weekend)
I would stay again
K. A.
Nice clean rooms.
Bathrooms need an exhaust fan.
Great view from my room.
Staff friendly.
Online check in and out very helpful.
Great selection at breakfast
B. R.
Our stay was very pleasant. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and nice. The room was nice, the food was good. It was a very nice stay in Canberra.
M. C.
Great location, fabulous atmosphere in all the shared areas, quirky theme and gift store. Fantastic in room minibar! Overall very fun.
L. N.
The hotel lobby and room are very clean and accommodating, and the staff were very friendly. In terms of hotel facilities, it is a bit lacking especially compared to the other hotels in the area of this price range.
E. C.
Rooms were clean and spacious. We had a mini balcony which was a bonus. Funky artworks displayed throughout the hotel.
M. W.
I used to stay at the Hyatt whenever I visited Canberra but now that I have tried the QT I'll never stay anywhere else again! The service was unbeatable, the vibe funky and relaxed and the wallpaper made my eyes and my heart sing!
J. V.
Staff were super friendly, we enjoyed the Canberra political tongue-in-cheek themes displayed throughout and of course the buffet breakfast! Delicious.
C. F.
Beautiful room, a slight smell in the hallway of dampness, however can't smell it anywhere else. The staff are very friendly 😊
G. C.
I recently attended a conference which was held at the QT, and decided to stay there as well. I was very impressed with both the conference rooms and the general facilities. I would stay again at the QT if I am travelling to Canberra in the future.
J. O.
Stay there for two nights . We arrived late so look for something to eat, the reception lady was super nice to look for which restaurant still open for us. Great customer service.
M. S.
Pleasant staff, elegant dining/bar area, really big bed that was super comfy (:
H. H.
For the price we were paying we were expected to be greeted with a much friendlier front desk person. Every interaction following was just as cold. Staff are also not very knowledgable about the local attractions and restaurants. We asked for a restaurant recommendation from one of the bar staff and he said he didn't know of any places as he didn't eat out.
K. T.
Good location, great design, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Food was good (from what I tasted) and events are managed really well here.
W. R.
My friends and I have stayed here twice this year, and find QT Canberra is Great. The staff and facilities, and it's feel, will bring us back again. Thanks QT Canberra
G. U.
I loved the friendly service and food. The hotel setting was elegant and it had a professional touch to it, It is a convenient and easily accessible directions to the Lake and shopping malls and bars.
D. W.
The artwork and feel of the hotel is great, and it does well on the little touches that help when you're traveling for work: full size ironing boards, free fast WiFi and really good room service.
C. W.
Really nice hotel, it's my go to hotel in Canberra. Slightly frustrated on last visit as we pre-paid for parking but on getting to the hotel we told it was on an "if available" basis. Had to park in an aisle as the underground car park was full.
G. W.
I'm a big fan of this hotel. Good in house restaurant, but also plenty of other cafes and restaurants close by. Useable, although not blistering wifi. Rooms and bathrooms very clean and nicely appointed.
L. C.
Always an enjoyable stay at the QT. First choice of hotels everytime we stay in Canberra. Sassy vibe and friendly team. Restaurant is amazing, best steak in Canberra
N. K.
Great hotel with cozy room, good environment, “FAST WIFI” and at reasonable price.
Overall, great experiences to stay here.
S. H. (.
Excellent place for a weekend away. Lots of lovely places to eat around there too. The restaurant in the hotel does not have any vegetarian options which is disappointing.
C. R.
Rooms are small.
Beds are okay.
Staff are good.
Decor is funky.
Bathroom is too small.
Rooms need some love.
Solid 4 star experience.
T. P.
I was there to get my hair cut at the Babershop at QT. As usual my service there was excellent, Craig and Dustan made every effort to welcome me and Craig made sure i left looking sharp.
I also had the chance to have a coffee before my appointment which was excellent as well.
M. O.
Decent enough hotel, with quite nice nd friendly staff.
Make sure you book their resturant in advance and be prepared to park off as they don't have enough parking for guest .
J. G.
Really good service, cute rooms and exceptional food. This is the second time I've been here and am looking forward to the third.
B. A.
Excellent stay, very attentive and helpful staff, lovely room I was upgraded to and a comfortable bed. Thomas was my waiter in the restaurant and was excellent and offered very good advice when requested.
R. M.
Check-in was fast and efficient. Room very clean. Plenty of thought into the style throughout the hotel, which I liked but that's subjective.
M. K.
From the funky use of iconic political iconography to the in-room cocktail equipment, it had everything to keep us entertained. The highlight is the buffet breakfast: the best I've ever seen.
F. S.
I have been in an event organised by AusCyber in the ballroom 2 which is on the first floor of the hotel. I tried to use one of the lounge's armchairs before the event started but it was not cleaned that is why did not.
R. T. (.
A nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay there.
M. K.
Check-in friendly, room clean and warm, bar staff friendly and attentive, restaurant - great food (except Spaghetti isn't Angel Hair pasta), good breakfast, fast and friendly check out and taxi arrangement. And consistent with other stays!
K. E.
Stopped in for a quick drink with a friend at the Lounge. Stunning views paired with great service. Looking forward to hosting some customers it business partners.
K. H.
Atmosphere was nice, service was great, steaks were beautifully prepared. The only let down was the side salads which consisted solely of lettuce leaves.
D. R.
Really nice hotel! The breakfast is awesome although it should include some fruit. If you have to pay by yourself, it's rather expensive.
M. E.
Amazing friendly clean.. Amazing food staff ...rooms ...everything was excellent and will always stay at the QT when ever we are in Canberra and recommend to family and friends.
R. G.
Amazing hotel. Great staff, kid friendly, great food and coffee, verrrrrry comfortable beds. Our go-to hotel in Canberra.
D. K.
I have been staying at Rydges Lakeside for over 2 years and recently again at QT. There are some elements of the upgrade that are nice, providing more lighting into the dining/bar area is good, but the rooms are essentially the same but you just charge a lot more. Without any gym/fitness facilities on site, and not being able to access the QT lounge make the price rise difficult to take.
The increased pricing on food, without a substantial lift in quality is disappointing. Charging $39 for a Snapper fillet makes Sydney CBD prices seem cheap, even as a Platinum Rewards member I could have eaten cheaper in NewActon or Manuka. It's this reason that will have me trying some of the Barton/Kingston hotels next time I'm down.
C. S.
Excellent hotel. Comfortable and stylish. Very nice bar in the lobby too. Off street parking was close by although not guaranteed.
M. C.
QT Canberra had been nicely renovated and is now quite trendy inside. Unfortunately there where some very noisy parties happening in other rooms that ruined the experience a bit.
S. A.
Highly recommended. A great place and location. Personable and friendly staff. Great rooms, food and service; clean and attention to detail throughout.
M. M.
you guys rock the staff was very friendly, there was nothing too small or too big for them, the room was spacious and extremely clean. I enjoyed my experience there
R. J.
Absolutely amazing hotel, clean and very modern. Staff were warm and friendly. Won't stay anywhere else in Canberra going forward!!
M. O.
Comfortable bed and very clean and modern room. Buffet breakfast is a stand out. Friendly staff and solid in room wifi (free).
P.
Dinner at the QT is always on point. Certainly can get my fill of steak cooked perfectly here. Unfortunately you can't eat outside. Sweet potato fries and super too.
M. V. S.
From arrival to checkout everything was wonderful. Comfy, clean room, great restaurant food and service. Close to Canberra's best activities.
J. F.
The hotel was of superior quality. I went there for two events and both turned out amazingly. Modern facilities, modern feel and great staff.
S. C.
Such an absolutely amazing time there. Staff are just so accommodating. We only stay at QT's. Love it.
S. R.
Attended a function here, food was good, service was excellent my only gripe from being on the 15th floor was how dirty the windows were
P. J.
Bars are good, and breakfast is great. When I stayed there (I won't again) the rooms were small, and beds not made properly/comfortable....
R. B.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It's a great hotel and the restaurant was fantastic. Buffet breakfast was on point!
D. A.
Great modern hotel, good location and very friendly staff. Parking was a bit difficult on Fri/Sat night but other than that we had a great stay
P. P.
It's good
M. A.
Top service great room beautiful meals. Loved our weekend stay. Thanks QT ACT
V. W.
From the foyer it looked impressive but scratch the surface and we find and hotel that is dated and a little broken. But the staff are friendly and my meal was great.
I. C.
Nicely decorated, comfy bed, overpriced minibar with no complimentary water, staff and service impeccable - warm, friendly and professional.
J. A.
Fun, relaxed and funky place to stay. Great staff and great bar. Buffet breakfast is excellent
J.
Attended the QT lounge on the top floor for a friend's wedding. Staff were friendly, view was great. Can't comment on prices.
G. S.
Well appointed. Chic. Good service with interesting room service options. Restaurant very busy needs booking. Close to Canberra theatre.
E. S.
Attended QT Canberra for a work planning day followed by Christmas Lunch. Excellent facilities for the planning day, and great food and drink for the party. Would definitely recommend it.
S. F.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff. Excellent bar and food area. Canberra is a beautiful city with lots of museums and bars.
J. M.
Saturday morning order barrista cappuccinos, we wait 20 minutes so go and ask waitress who says there on the list and we'll get them when they are ready.
After another 5 minutes I go and ask again, to be told theyve forgotten.
another 5 minutes the coffees arrive.. The worst 'barista' coffee ever.. No froth and very week.
Told the waiter/ barrista who advised me he wasn't trainer to make coffees..
A very odd experience and they charged us for the coffees..
Not what I expect from QT
J. H.
It's clean and has nice ambiance and great food
K. C.
Great customer service, went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and needs. Rooms are clean, modern and the hotel located centrally.
J. Ø. D.
Good looking hotel for a decent price. WiFi was free and not behind that login crap, which was very refreshing. Easy parking and well connected makes it easy to travel in and out from.
R. E.
Very nice, well designed, good staff. But the food is heavy and rich, hard to find light healthy stuff. Convenience stores are far away.

Great inner city location. Lovely restaurant and excellent service. Cocktails were delicious. The facilities are very modern and had a lovely atmosphere

Below par for a QT hotel. The rooms are tired, a bit Spartan, and it just doesn't have the vibe of other QT hotels.

Service is good. Very close to CBD and good value for money. Rooms were neat. Recommend this place while staying in Canberra.

Super friendly staff, phenomenal sharing plates and great venue for functions. Lucky's speakeasy is the best add on to an already shining hotel!

Lobby and restaurant were lovely, room was nice too. Barista struggled with influx of coffee orders at breakfast, took 30 minutes to be served

It's a little odd to note that everything except the bed is for sale, but otherwise it's a nice place, comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet was amazing.

Good food, staff were pleasant, it was awkward trying get their attention each time we wanted any service as they were never looking our way, after some time waiting to ask for our bill we just got up and paid . We'd like to try again, hopefully the attention to service will be better.

Extortionate mini bar. Nice room and toiletries. PGR Membership not recognized for food in Lucky's, but not stated anywhere that this is the case.

Had business drinks here. Funky decor and the chairs were comfortable. Music a little too loud but not too bad.

Not getting what you see on pics and descriptions
As a 5 star hotel, should have a pool or at least a bathtub but non here ...

Fantastic rooms and facilities only thing I didn't like was the quirky political murals on the walls but hey it's Canberra. Recommended

The bar at QT, is a great place to go and have a few drinks. It has some great nooks and place to sit and chat. Is also a good place for a gathering with friends.
