Friendly, professional staff who were very helpful when I had to move rooms so I didn't spend hours in the lobby for check in time. Spotlessly clean, great harbour views and well located. I will stay here again when next in Darwin. The restaurant has a nice menu and the coffee is great.

My room is great and has a nice amount of space with a lovely view. I was super hungry after work. I ordered room service and called a couple of times (at 1 hr and almost 1.5 hrs) as they said it would be 45 minutes. I ordered the lamb at 7pm via room service. I got the meal at 8.30pm with no cutlery. :( The beautiful young lady that delivered the meal was extremely apologetic and offering amazing service. Because of her I am giving 4 stars. Plus the lamb was yummy. :) Thank you. ♡

Very attentive staff. Asked for room as high up as possible with views-got a room on the 25th floor looking east which was fabulous. Everything you need is in the unit. Great location-quiet room as double glazed glass. Only thing is there is an awful perfumed scent that is everywhere and I could hear the person above(tenants)walking around quite loudly so poor sound proofing to ceilings.

Nice clean studio room with harbour view. It just sounded like people were dragging furniture from above tho. I'm not sure what the noise is but it went on and off for 3 days.

The rooms are modern and spacious and great views from the balcony. The pool is a great feature and is nice in the afternoon, although many of the sun beds have missing slats. The on site cafe and bar also serves breakfast for hotel guests and this can be described as a continental buffet, with not much in the way of protein offerings except hard boiled eggs which was nice to find. I did run into an issue with miscommunication with one of the staff but this was handled nicely by the manager and all was resolved satisfactorily. The only other slight negative I would mention is there are only 3 lifts which means they can get busy at certain times. But in any case I would happily stay here again.

The only reason I drop one star is because there’s no allocated parking and if you want secure parking it DOESNT come with your booking, it’s $15 a night and still first in best dressed. Other than the parking situation everything else is great!

We loved the two apartments accommodating 3 families. Well appointed and stunning views from both. We had a water issue that was addressed immediately. Definitely plan to stay again and highly recommend. Given Covid lockdown for first 5days we were well looked after, did miss the pool. .

This hotel was very nice. $104 dollars for the night was also very good value. Rooms were very very nice, got the whole resort feel going. Everything is nice and fresh and well looked after, relative new hotel from what I told. There is a restaurant and bar here as well, not that i used it, hotel is so close to downtown Darwin and Mitchell street I headed downtown. I would give this place five starts, but check in was very average, boarding on annoying. Service was faulty towers like checking in, checking out different staff and they were great!

We stayed here before and after a camping safari in October this year. It was fabulous. The apartments are spacious and we had a great view of the harbour. The air conditioning was excellent. The food and drinks in the restaurant were excellent and we enjoyed room service also. The location is great, it is quite close to the main city centre of Darwin and all of the shopping and restaurants, and a short taxi ride to the water front area. Hot tip, start your adventures at the nearby tourist information centre. It is an easy walk from the hotel and the staff are so excited to help you enjoy their beautiful city.

A perfect place for both work or holiday, our family stayed for 9 nights in room 1011, it was perfectly clean, bight and modern! The workers working here are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We will not hesitate to stay in this hotel in future!

I honestly cannot speak highly enough of the Oaks Darwin Elan Hotel. I checked in to the Oaks Elan for 1 night before I was due to drive back to Sydney - unfortunately I was caught up in the Covid situation in Darwin and was placed on a 14 day stay at home order. It was stressful to begin with being in quarantine so far away from home and from my husband and kids however the Oaks Elan team were absolutely incredible and to say that they went out of their way to look after me was honestly and complete understatement. The Oaks Elan now feels like a home away from home to me, and I CANNOT wait to get back to visit Ralph and the team…..once Sydney is eventually out of lockdown I’m 2022 😂 Thankyou Ralph and The Oaks team - you guys are absolute legends!

Our overall experience was excellent! We stayed at a 2-bedroom apartment and it was perfect. The service from the concierge to housekeeping and OAK restaurant was 5 star! Sabrina and Kamren at the reception were very pleasant. Samuel and Cameron will look after you at breakfast time. Abhi and Alex looked after us very well during dinner. The restaurant was very busy but we received excellent service that night. Did I mention how amazing the food was? I guess that’s why the key card says “Welcome home”

Good location, walk to local shops, Darwin entertainment area, lagoon, parliament building and other local attractions. The room I was in was well set out, very clean quite quiet given the rain and wind experienced during my stay. There is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, lots of car parking. There's a pool and a very basic gym. One improvement would be an in house laundry service. I stayed in January and given the humidity its impossible to get anything wet to dry without a dryer this sounds strange given the outside temperature is usually above 27deg, there is just to much moisture in the air.

A reasonable stay. My room had a balcony with great views. All tile, so people walking up the corridor with boots or heels was occasionally annoying. Breakfast downstairs was well executed. Comfortable bed. A couple of maintenance issues reported to reception weren't addressed before I checked out.

Stayed here for 3 nights for a conference. Rooms are beautiful and so clean. The restaurant food or coffee doesn't stack up unfortunately. I'd say maybe 1/5. What beggared belief is that your coffee arrives in a DISPOSABLE cup.....IN the restaurant. Apparently, it's a new policy in place. Not very environmentally friendly and this is exactly the reason we had breakfast elsewhere the next day (along with the fact the coffee isn't great, food is below average and wait time is too long). The girls were doing their best but tbh, more staff were needed due to the conference numbers. Staff on the main reception were incredibly professional, welcoming and polite. Would definitely stay here again but avoid the restaurant.

1 bedroom apartment. The Good: The views on the 21st floor were fantastic. Seems to be a good chef in the kitchen. Good central location. The Bad: If you have a low expectation or you aren't intending to spend much time in the room, you will be satisfied with the accommodation. The room could have done with a good clean. The bathroom was abysmally tiny, with the washing machine and dryer taking up a quarter of the floor space. Add the toilet, sink space and shower and there was no room to turn around. Literally. There was little water pressure in the shower and the water was not hot. The lounge room was very crowded, not helped by the ridiculous abundance of scatter cushions. We moved a dining chair and lounge chair onto the balcony and this was very helpful. The wardrobe was very small and nowhere to put a suitcase. There is no logic to this room. Oaks have tried to squeeze too much into a tiny space. The staff at the restaurant downstairs very unenthusiastic. The Ugly: The staff were indifferent. Don’t give any specific instructions, such as organising an early check-in. They cannot operate out of the norm. We were unlucky enough to have a fire drill at 7am one morning. No fire wardens, no visible staff, no one to assist mothers or families, or give any instruction. They couldn’t even organise a coffee plunger in their ‘fully equipped’ kitchen. There is an egg whisk, but no coffee plunger. It was a lot of money to pay for a very average room and average experience. I would have been happy to give this feedback directly to them, in a constructive way, but no one ever even asked about our stay. This is a money making venture. They do not care if you come again. Keep your expectations low.

Spacious room. Good view over the buildings to the harbour. Pick up point for tour buses is across the street and along about 20m. Restaurant served the best Lasagne I have ever tasted. Hop on Hop Off bus is about 4 blocks away. The Ghan pick up bus also stops at this hotel.

Immaculately clean, well appointed apartments with a view to die for. Centrally located and walking distance to everything in the city. Basic fitness center with intuitive lighting that will leave you in the dark if you're not moving about the room. Pool is lovely and staff are very accommodating.

This is a good 4 star hotel. Has a good pool facility and gym. The rooms are clean and decent sized. Aircon worked only when the door was closed but i suspect this was a design 'feature'. The bathroom was large although the drain did not seem to drain as quick as the shower could dispense the water. For the price paid I was very pleased with this hotel and would stay here again. The cafe downstairs was mediocre, with coffee that was on par with that sold at a 7-11.

Poor Oaks is a bit worn out, furniture has had its day especially the outdoor furniture by the pool, literally planks missing on lounges along with screw points exposed leading to harm. Room OK, staff just OK.

From the moment we walked through the doors we were greeted with a warm welcome. Housekeeping kept everything immaculately clean throughout the stay. The location is simply perfect to where we want to be as per our itinerary. Room rates are reasonable for the type of hotel. I had a wonderful stay here.

MASSIVE rooms with a great bathroom and outrageously comfortable beds. We were on the 21st floor which had great views out across the water and over the city. Aircon and fans worked a treat too. The pool was nice in the afternoon but completely shaded midday, so that was a bit of a bummer. Otherwise, it’s a nice spot. Front-desk staff were friendly—no complaints there. For business travellers: Wifi worked well, however you’re limited to 3 wifi devices... so if you have a phone and a laptop, and you have a partner that also has a phone and a laptop, someone’s going to need to go without. Fast and good reception. There’s no business centre, however. And, there’s no stationary provided, which I was scrambling to find when my pen ran out and the local shops had closed on the Sunday so I couldn’t buy a bunch of legal pads.

Floors are disgusting and need a really good clean/mop and vacuum including under the furniture. Shower is a silly design with the drain on the outside of the shower so water runs all over the floor with only one bath mat to clean it all up. Staff are nice, bed is comfy and a lovely view from the 21st floor. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Great view from the 19th floor, immaculate facilities and comfortable furnishings. I booked an apartment with kitchenette but didn't realize the microwave wasn't a convection microwave. So just a heads up if you like a home made roast like I do. Pool was great but the intuitive lighting in the gym literally leaves you in the dark at night which means a 30 minute run on the treadmill wasn't happening. Best to go during the day. Overall very comfy stay, well located and handy to everything. Joining the rewards club enables unlimited Wi-Fi as well.

My sister and I stayed there 10-13 February 2013. The room was beautiful and the view spectacular from the 19th floor. My sister left her Kindle in the room on departure and the Hotel Staff went out of their way to deliver to the airport. A very big Thank You. All staff were friendly and polite and very willing to assist with any request. The restaurant was wonderful - we both loved the Korean influenced food.

Well located just off the CBD, it's fairly quiet (make sure you get a room at the front if you want quiet) however the back of the hotel has the views - but it also has garbage collections and the fork lift deliveries to the Bottlemart in the street behind the hotel at 5.30am! The rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. The shuttle bus from the airport will drop you and pick you up from the front door.

Caesar salad and spaghetti were great too. Breakfast is alacarte in the morning and coffee tasted a bit burnt so better off going to a local cafe. Carpark is very tight on the entry ramps so would be hard to park larger cars

Only 4 stars as the aircon won't go below 22c, the showers are luke warm and even my teenage children could not work out how to switch on the stove. My harbour room was quite generous with a king sized bed. The ensuite is large too and has a waterfall showerhead that allows ample of showering room alone or with your partner. The tv offers your standard Australian channels with some Foxtel, including sport, cartoon network and national geographic. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly and were very accommodating. Location wise, it's a short walk to the waterfront and to the main street for food, drinks and shopping. This hotel is great value for money and I would highly recommend it for anyone staying in Darwin.

Nice, clean rooms that are decently appointed with smart TVs and free WiFi for guests. There are larger rooms available with separated bedroom, lounge with kitchenette and balcony with outdoor setting. Although the internet wasn't the fastest it was fast enough to watch Netflix with only the odd pause for buffering. My only complaint is the rooms could use some better soundproofing as my colleagues and I were able to hear more of the other guests than we would have looked to. My colleagues were staying in sperate rooms on different floors to me so it wasn't isolated to my room.

Myself and three of my colleagues recently spent a week staying at the Oaks Elan Darwin. We had chosen the Oaks as we had stayed there in the past and we where more than happy with the rooms. It seems now though, that the Oaks is starting to show its age. The room that was initially allocated had a very bad musty smell to it. Two out of the my three colleagues also had rooms with varying degrees of musty smell, with the third the only one who didn't. I requested to change rooms, and initially the new room was ok, but after running the aircon for some time, that room also had a very bad musty smell. Whilst I was changing rooms another lady was also at the front desk complaining about the smell. Along with the smell of the rooms, the advertised broadband was extremely slow, making browsing the Web, conducting business and streaming content extremely painfull. All three of my colleagues experienced the same speed issues. As the hotel seems to be on NBN there should be no reason for such slow internet apart from the hotel limiting each user connection. The size of the bowls in the rooms. I'm not sure if they where designed for ants, but I don't know how a normal sized person could have a decent meal out of them. On the morning of checkout I was greeted with the wonderful situation of having no towels at all after finishing my morning shower, whilst one of my colleagues had no replacement Toilet paper, which left him in a bit of a stick situation. Overall with the extremely musty and unpleasant smell in the rooms and the pathetic speed of the broadband, I would not recommend this hotel to any business or pleasure traveller. Out company will definitely be taking our service elsewhere in the future.

Rooms a bit noisy due to no carpets in hallways and open shutters at ends of halls. But comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Restaurant upmarket and a bit pricey even by Darwin standards.
