H. L.A really nice stay. Usually every were else I've stayed my partner and I could write a little list of just not rights but the only thing I had was the shower head was to low, yes a common problem.
We had a budget room for only one night and it has made me think next time I really would like to try an upper end room.
Great staff also, nothing to hard.
And leave with a very good and affordable breakfast to start your day.
D. L.Cannot recommend enough for a great stay in Darwin. Nice and quiet although close to Mitchell st. We stayed in the Sunset Villa. So close to the esplanade! Wow! Loved the kitchenette and bbq facilities. The resort style pool and communal kitchen is wonderful. Lovely tropical garden grounds. We are locals and recommend to those wanting a stay cation or visiting from afar. Very friendly staff and checkin process too. Would be great to have an iron in the room but other than that perfect!
V. P.This was a nice tropical island right in the middle of the city. Close to everything walk to waterfront or into town. Next door to night life and great social pubs. The staff are lovely very friendly and helpful. We got a tropical villa pool side room 212. A studio which even though it was dated it was very comfortable with a deck overlooking the pool. This can get a little noisy but closes at 10pm. The pool is the social hub and we met some lovely guests while having cocktails. There is a little manned bar on the pool deck on certain nights which is great. The bed in our room was comfortable and linen was crisp. It had everything we needed. Our air conditioner broke down but there was someone there first thing in the morning to apologise and fix it. Ceiling fans did the job for one night. A great casual place to stay in the heart of town . good value accommodation.

The beds are so comfortable you won't want to get up in the morning. The rooms are spacious and clean, and have a microwave oven.

R. H.Bungalow area is very nice with lush tropical feel. Rooms are cleaned daily and adequate. However , screens between bungalows offer no privacy and I would definately not want a bungalow overlooking the pool as they are a thoroughfare to the pool. Saying this though, I would definately stay again.

D. M.Great shower! Just what I needed after adventuring around the NT. Aircon and clean room. Parking is limited and I got a ticket even after using the street parking app! Obviously that's not the fault of the resort, but parking is a premium in busy times so be prepared.

J. T.Great location right opposite the Cenotaph and park, which is perfect for the Dawn Service on Anzac Day, being the main reason we are in Darwin. Ground level private huts with onsite parking are well worth paying a little extra. Excellent welcome service at check-in from Hamid, who explained everything we needed to know. Good pool and a lovely tropical feel within the complex.
R. d.I had a 10 night stay here and really enjoyed it . The staff are friendly and do a great job and make you feel very welcome . We had a standard room which was very comfortable and close to the swimming pool . We used the barbecue at the swimming pool to make ourselves breakfast . It's a short walk to Coles shopping centre where's there's a good coffee shop and a liquor outlet . We really enjoyed the electric scooters parked out the front of the resort and I highly recommend downloading the neuron app and getting yourself an appropriate pass . It's walking distance to many of the fine restaurants and bars that Darwin has to offer . Our favourites were the Oyster Bar , shenanigans Crustaceans . Most afternoons we scooted down to the wharf and enjoyed a beverage and either prawns or some oysters
R. S.Great location in the city on the Esplanade, really nice to have the garden settings rather than a large multi storey hotel, there's a good pool and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Place is very relaxing and I'd stay again.

S. R.The Palms is an excellent choice of accomodation in Darwin. We had a garden bungalow opposite the pool, lovely and quiet with tropical gardens which offered privacy on our deck. Rooms are made up by housekeeping each day which was wonderful. Close to restaurants and shops. Beautiful park and views of the hsrbour opposite. Grab a scooter and ride to Mindil market for dinner on a Thursday or Sunday night, so easy to get around, also walking distance to the waterfront district. We will definitely stay here again!

Bungalows were well appointed with fabulous outdoor space, surrounded by palms. If you're lucky, you can make friends with the local possums! Great price and highly recommend
A. T.Can't beat location, attention to detail of staff or pristine tropical grounds that make you forget you are within easy walking distance to all Darwin CBD has to offer. We stayed at a bungalow for first few nights, then did a road trip around top end, and came back staying in a villa for a other few nights. villas come with parking. All have access to great (clean) pool. Security gates all around.
A. V.Palms City resort is a lovely hotel right in the centre of Darwin. It has a small pool and usually has a cafe open for breakfast. It is a great hotel if you want to stay in the centre of the city.
K. G.What a location, walking distance to everything. Even though you are in town the garden bungalows give you the feeling of seclusion (make sure you ask when booking for a quiet secluded, shaded bungalow, as units around the pool face the sun and privacy can be an issue). Bungalow air-conditioning FABULOUS, block out curtains allow for afternoon siestas, free ice, parking, service goes above and beyond. Definitely recommend, great budget style accommodation ;)
A. P.The rooms are great value, beds are comfy and the location is perfect. Staff are friendly. Aircons work well and beat the heat. Downsides: cabins are very noisy. Walls are paper thin, but if you like to know that people are going to Litchfield and that the kid ate his dinner then you might enjoy that entertainment. You'll also hear every footstep on the suspended floor and every door opening and closing 10x per hour if they smoke. If you're in a thoroughfare then good luck. Pool is a heavily chlorinated approx a soupy 30 deg C. Rooms don't have safes, so you'll need to stash you nuggets from Pine Creek at reception.

The garden bungalows are very clean and comfortable, set in beautiful gardens, well worth the very affordable price. Free secure parking and wifi a big plus. The pool is immaculate, clean and surrounded by graceful palms. The location is perfect, central to everything. I came home very relaxed. I will be back as soon as I can. Very happy 🙂
M. B.Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay and were located in a bungalow about 3 metres from the beautiful pool. The room was small but contained everything we needed and was modern and clean. We loved the added touch of the BBQ on the verandah also. Great location. Will definitely visit again for another staycation.
D. H.The room was nice very clean. The resort is very well laid out and the staff are wonderful. Right across from the beach and park area. That was the only negative. It gets noisy at night from people partying in the park. But overall nice comfy rooms and fantastic location.

A. O.I stayed in a regular hotel style room so I cannot comment on the villas. The place may not be the flashiest of hotels, but it is great value for money. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are neat and quite spacious. It’s in a good location and on my stay it was pretty quiet. The reception is 24 hours which is great for late check ins
L. V.We stayed twice at the Palms City Resort both for a single night in between travels to the outback. The staff is helpful and explains the resort in a very detailed fashion. We were able to leave the bulk of our luggage at the resort during the nights in between.
The rooms are clean and have the essential amenities including hairdryer and pool towels in the room.
We were travelling with 3 people and had one double bed and a single bed. Happy to see that the rooms have proper beds in place instead of roll-in beds.
The views of the sunset are breathtaking (see below).
P. G.Good location plenty of room and the executive suites with outdoor spa etc are an ideal way to spend the afternoon. Great location straight over the road to the Harbour. The Cenotaph is right across the road also.
H. R.There is no area for breakfast . They give you a$ 18 voucher to walk across the street too get breakfast if you choose something that astrays from that budget you payfor. Although the menu has not much to choose from. Muesli with yogurt and fruit or bacon and eggs. Thats it. The aircon works well. Has a laundry for travelllers. Close to shops.

A nice pool, laundry room with washers, driers and ironing facilities. They have off street parking that is gated at night. A very pleasant experience.

Breakfast buffet was amazing.
Only issue we had was the loud cars driving past In the morning but everything else makes up for it. Highly recommend and will be returning.
D. A.A bungalow that was supposed to be executive villa. Lacking basic motel room features like clock radio and DVD player but was very private and spa was lovely. The staff are friendly and housekeeping efficient but leave the balcony dirty. The standard rate on the room was $200 per night and the Hilton or Sheraton could offer a nicer room but they don't have a garden spa. Realistic price on this room would be $140-$160 per night.

We stayed in a villa with private spa and it was gorgeous. Honestly felt like we were out of town for the weekend (we are Darwin locals).

K. D.It's true, it's a 3-star hotel in a 5-star area and setting (hence why 5 stars), nonetheless, the staff are 5-star and make a world of difference to quality. Proximity to dining & to Mitchell Centre shopping was great, with no extraordinary concerns regarding safety in walking around the area. The bungalows looked good with balconies & small BBQs, however I stayed in a standard room which was fine, with excellent air-con and clean. A few guests during my stay were inconsiderate, e.g. at times, noisy with hints of ignorance towards others < these were younger male cohorts who, thankfully, only stayed 1-2 nights, but all other guests were excellent. The 3-star came to light via a few, but only minor, maintenance items, e.g's. could be a light bulb out, phone not working, however staff would immediately address when told. In all, I recommend this place, based on first 2 sentences, and would return.

It was easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and the Darwin Hotel, as well as the Dock. We walked back from the dock after a dinner cruise - helped walk off what we ate. Highly recommend this resort. The facilities were excellent for our needs and the staff were all extremely friendly and very helpful.

P. S.Central to town, boulevard and waterfront. All within walking distance. Nice pool area. Rooms are a little squashed but clean and tidy. Dining area was closed for renovating but there was no mention of this when we booked. Plenty of other options within walking distance.
W. H.Little disappointed with no breakfast but, just found out breakfast is starting tomorrow. As I had a tour at 7.15am no time to go to brown sugar. So had nothing to eat

Right on the Esplanade it’s great watching the sun go down. Rooms always clean and if there is ever an issue the staff always willing to help. As long as we keep coming to Darwin we will continue to return to Palms City Resort. Love it and recommend it.

But because you didnt want to share vouchers with me will do it and unlike the budget locals you normally deal with I will have my say here thanks 😋

J. A.I have stayed in 3 different room types here, I do recommend the superior room over the standard (cheapest) room.
Rooms are clean and maintained to a reasonable standard.
Some rooms allow louvred windows to keep the airflow but all rooms I've stayed in had air conditioning if that's your thing. Tv works.
Breakfast is reasonable - for half the price there are only a couple of things they don't have that you would find at the 5-star a block away. One day it was quiet and the eggs looked a little 'set' but at all other times it was okay.
All in all I was pleasantly surprised and suggested that my work book here if their usual is full.
J. B. (.Beautiful grounds, we stayed in a standard bungalow which was well equipped with a TV, fridge, kitchenette and a bbq. The pool is just lovely. No onsite kitchen/bar/room service, just the buffet for breakfast. I would recommend booking online via a booking site as they had much better prices than the resort was able to offer. Negative point - no NT local/wet season prices offered, for that reason only I'd choose somewhere else for our staycations in the future.

Fridge could do with a change out as it too appears not to be working well. Great spot though and great villa setting.
M. W.I think the detail on line perhaps a bit misleading. I had booked what I thought was a Garden Bungalow. Arrived to be told I had been upgraded (great) which upon arrival to the room was the one I thought I had booked anyway (not so great).
The Garden Bungelow itself was at the side of the resort and as such the villa was closer to the pavement and road i.e. about 4m away than it was the pool (more a paddling pool than a swimming pool). The noise levels then at night were pretty high and not what I had expected, or wanted.
The room was okay and comfortable enough though again the picture online doesn't really portrait what you get. Staff though very good and helpful and location right at the edge of the main strip in town so a good spot. The rating here is 4.2 stars. For me though overall it's a 3 though I have to say it was good value for the price I paid. 3 stars is just representative of the overall quality.
P. L.Clean comfortable rooms in a great location. We got 3 nights at a really cheap price and can't fault it. Also got free wifi access for 4 devices with no limitations. Also free parking however its limited spots. Would recommend and stay again in the future.
#. 9.Super convenient location, right off the main street, alongside the coastal park. Hotel rooms over a few floors, set around a tropical garden with some hut/chalet accommodation and a pool. Really liked the staff, use of a laundry room with fridge. Room was clean and big. They let us leave our luggage when we cam back from a tour of Kakadu for a few days which was really cool. We booked through AirBnB.

J. H.Resort style accommodation in queen bed bungalows, each being one half of a pair. The bungalow bedroom-kitchen inside is so small that you can (almost) do the washing up while sitting on the bed. However the bathroom is generously sized and so is the deck. A garden environment with birds and cheeky possums which steal your food and pee on the outside table. The resort is ideally located, adjoining the CBD and near Parliament, Deckchair Cinema, and Crocosaurus Cove. Not far away is the Darwin Waterfront Precinct with Convention Centre, ferry terminal and wave pool. Over the road is Bicentennial Park with various war memorials. Unfortunately the sounds of late night drunken arguments in the park could be heard in the bungalow. Very helpful staff. Free wifi.

The location is just perfect: promenade park is across the street, close to Woolly and Coles. 5 minutes walk from spectacular Waterfront and WWII oil tunnels. The only downside is that the bungalows themselves are crammed together on a relatively small area and rooms are kinda smallish (will be too small even for two), although there is a sizeable balcony, but during the day it's too hot outside. Tgere is a shared pool and guest car park, which is nice. Definitely recommended as a place to spend the calm and comfortable night.
