Loved our time here. Staff very friendly and very helpful. It was a great stay. Free bus was operating to take us to the Waterfront precinct where there was a public swimming area with some good shopping with plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms were suites with cooking facilities, dishwasher and washing machine and lovely large balcony. Good sized pool on the 3rd floor along with the breakfast room. Breakfast (included) was terrific with choices of hot food including eggs Benny, big brekky as well as vegetarian and cold options. One of the best bits was the rooftop bar with amazing views and a great place to enjoy a drink with free snacks and watch Darwin’s great sunsets. We’ll definitely be back.

A great 2 week stay at the Zen Quarter in Darwin! Great room with a fantastic view. Awesome service and food at the Horizen Café and the Rooftop bar was awesome. Have stayed twice and have booked again for next year. Very comfortable, having a washing machine a real plus. Pool is great, apartments very comfortable with great views and staff do a fantastic job. The establishment called us a few days prior to arrival, to confirm flight arrival time and check in. Our room was not ready though once we arrived. All fixed with a wonderful upgrade, thank you very much. The sea view is expensive for an industrial site view. Positive aspects are the refreshing pool and roof top bar with complimentary nibbles. Short walk to town centre, stock up your fridge. There is no where for lunch or dinner at the hotel. Very friendly staff ,easy to talk to and will help the best they can. Great air-conditioning in the apartment.

Place is clean, well maintained. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is hit and miss affair. We have had two good hot ones out of five. Today's Eggs bene was congealed and cold, totally inedible, and after returning two other cold meals didn't bother this time. The water in the urn isn't hot enough to make a good cuppa. Rooms great, don't bother with the breakfast. Drinks on the roof are very relaxing, with great views. 🤫

Fantastic place to stay and very clean. Complimentary drink or snack on arrival was a nice touch. Free nibbles on the top floor every night from 4:30pm. Great place to meet up and catch the sunset. Everything you could want in a place to stay with full amenities to cook; a gym; hairdryer, iron, heated pool with pool towels; comfy bed and pillows; hot showers with fixed arms and no nasty shower curtain, plenty of storage spots and power outlets; ample parking. Cocktails watery, not worth the expense. Service was friendly and prompt. Loved the breakfast - perfectly cooked everyday. Definitely will stay again.

I have stayed on at the property on several occasions. Our last stay was for over two weeks and the staff in the restaurant were excellent. Lily is a great asset to the business as she always went above and beyond during breakfast service. The reception team also provided great service and attention to detail. Clean, modern suites that are beautifully appointed. I had a complete kitchen and spacious balcony. The rooftop bar has amazing views, the staff friendly and they made wonderful cocktails. Even better, they have a selection of complimentary food that would put an airline lounge to shame. Pizza, pies, sausage rolls, quiche, cheeses, antipasto, lollies and so much much to snack on while drinking. Pool table, chess and backgammon set up. It is a truly lovely lounge/bar. From the moment I arrived I was impressed, a free beer on checkin to enjoy in my room, a voucher for a discounted drink at the rooftop bar and a free cooked breakfast in the restaurant café. This hotel has thought of everything I’d want to tick all of my boxes. Very comfortable and highly recommended and I’ll be back to stay here again. Loved it.

Clean, well appointed, serviced rooms. Nice pool and rooftop bar (during our stay they were offering free nibbles after 4 p.m.) We didn't go to the restaurant, so no review of that. We saw scooters for hire out the front, and organised buses to the markets were advertised. Walking distance to CBD (about 5 minutes). Undercover parking was available. Would certainly stay there again and recommend to family and friends travelling to Darwin.

Staying in this hotel was an amazing experience. From the moment we walked into reception, the staff were very welcoming. We were offered a complimentary drink or snack which was really appreciated after a big day. Our room was large, stylish and spotless. Complimentary nibbles and sausage sizzle on the top floor to watch the gloriousl sunset was a treat. I would recommend this hotel 100% . Thanks to all the staff who help make our stay so enjoyable.

Nice apartments in a slightly off beat location but still close to the CBD and Waterfront. Free parking and nice pool and rooftop bar. Breakfast was included in our rate but we didn’t use it. Rooms were a good size but bed felt small. Fully air conditioned and well serviced. Highlight was rooftop bar for sunset and sunrise.

Overall a lovely stay, staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble We had a deluxe junior suite and overall size adequate though I felt the bedroom a little small. I thought the furniture was dated and for me would have liked more than a two seater lounge to sit on. Had a good work trip at Ramada Zen Quarter Darwin. The rooms are well equipped and have most things you need for a longer stay. The housekeeping was a little inconsistent though with some days constantly changing towels everyday yet not checking for things like toilet paper supply. Despite this a good stay. The pool is great and the hotel is a short walk from the CBD.

Clean rooms, well maintained property, good location, breakfast is a bit hit and miss , out of five days we only had two that were hot and enjoyable. The other three were cold and inedible. After taking two back we gave up. The water in the urn isn't hot enough to make a good cuppa. We enjoyed our stay. But give the breakfast a miss.

Whether you're visiting for the weekend, or leasing out an apartment, it's a great place to be in. Very clean modern rooms that also has a minimalist style to them. There's a penthouse on the 16th and last floor, where you can grab a drink, have a bite to eat, and take in the beautiful 360° view of Darwin's CBD and harbour. I'd say it's the perfect spot to watch the sunset from.

Reference number 69084 Could not fault this wonderful place, great amenities with in and out of the room, the staff smile better then a Colgate add, the equality and respect they show everyone is so far beyond the pay rates of the hospitality industry. You will not be displeased while staying here, it's a very well maintained and lovely place, but with a quite and laid back atmosphere! Great for everyone, if your on business, or even with your love one, friends and family. Thank you very sincerely for the warm welcome and stay. I will definitely not forget! You have a Sunrise for breakfast and sun set with quiet drinks and food on the rooftop. You can see the whole city, with out the crazy darwin social side to close, but definitely not to far as its all with in a lovely 10 minute walk to everything in the city and harbour. Largest pool for any accommodation with in Darwin, it also has a lovely playground for your kids but in a great location as well. My towels and bed was freshend while staying and complementary drink on arrival and breakfast in the morning. They also helped with all inquiries and extras that they did not have to go out of there way and do at all, As i said previously before, I could not fault this place. Such a great place to stay. Just outside the city center on the iconic port waterfront. They have turned the penthouse into a rooftop bar where you can enjoy nibbles, drinks and see the amazing sun set. This is the only place to stay as far as I am concerned. The staff were so helpful, friendly and made us feel at home. Thanks to Andrew and Wei Wei and all the staff in reception to helping with out of the box needs. The Horizon Cafe was mind blowing - great view of the sun rise every morning with indoor and out door seating. Great breakfast meal deals and plenty of options. The Cafe staff were just beautiful and we said goodbye on the last morning with sadness. Also special thanks to Ron and Michael for making our last morning one we will never forget. I can not wait to return.

We stay here in the apartment room for 600$ 1 night They have big troubles with elevators, they work too slow and weird as well. Pretty often we used stairway (14 floor❗) Inside apartment i found web, 1 little soup only in bathroom. On balcony, space between wall and fence very dangerous for little kids. Bedroom super small, we can't normally open the door it stuck on a bed corner. Bathroom smallest what I ever have seen, where living room huge, what's for? No TV in the bedroom but connect gate here Stuff very friendly, hospitality about service friendly, breakfast was good (room include) prices for other services OK I think this hotel just around 2 stars only. This place is unbelievably amazing! My family and I have been staying here for the past 4 days & will be residing here for the next 2 weeks til our new house is ready to move in. And honestly, I feel like I'm living on a dream vacation here! From the moment we arrived, we noticed the scooters lined up along the front for guests to use, also pool noodles for the guests to use either in the Ramada pool OR to take to the beach for the day. They have a bar fridge full of free drinks for guests that are checking in at the front reception, parking is ample and easy to navigate. We are currently staying in a 2bedroom apartment that has full amenities such as : 2 bathrooms, 2 queen beds, TV, lounges, dining suite, full kitchen with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven & stove top, washing machine which is easy to use, a balcony (with an ashtray if your a smoker), plus there's a guest pool (get pool towels from reception), gym, small playground area for kids, Cafe & a rooftop lounge area where they have daily drinks & nibbles for guests everyday from 4pm onwards. All the staff have been helpful, friendly & accommodating since the moment we arrived. Every staff member that we've bumped into during our stay has greeted us with a smile and has a nice small friendly chat with us especially the lovely cleaning staff, they are absolutely incredible and their customer service is next level professional! Very impressed with this place, it really does set a very high standard for all other hotels/apartments to be measured against especially since my husband and I have spent alot of time in the past at some of the best places in Sydney (before we had kids lol), so being here in Darwin at the Ramada & feeling so tranquil & fuss free while also feeling at home is such a huge bonus for us! Also, our room comes with daily complimentary breakfast which has been great for us - food is good! Plus our one yr old loves everything he's eaten here so far! So happy we are booked in here, such a blessing to spend the beginning of our new life in Darwin at this magnificent accommodation! Cheers Ramada Zen!

The staff are super friendly and helpful, offered a free drink on arrival, free car park, very easy staff to deal with, the office manager peers thru her office to make sure upon check in was taken care of, you can tell they treat everyone with care , regardless Rooms are amazingly clean and tidy, spacious and homely Aircon rooms, added ceiling fans, stocked milk for coffee, stocked laundry powder for your washing machine, interesting that they also ensure stocked toilet paper in your room. Positives: Room was clean, fantastic views over the working part of the waterfront and we could watch the sunrise from the room and balcony. The pool was great and we enjoyed the breakfasts with $18 credit to spend per person (it is not a buffet). Nice view of the sunset from the rooftop, parking was adequate and the city centre was in hot walking distance. Staff were always friendly and responsive. Air conditioning and fans were wonderful and the kitchen and laundry were adequately equipped. Lighting was good. Negatives: Two person sofa was inadequate and badly sagging. Water pressure was poor and floor tended to flood. BYO bathroom products if you don't want to use the all-in-one. TV has Foxtel, but I personally missed streaming. Lack of kitchen ventilation in cafe meant clothes smelled a bit after dining (not sure if noticeable after sweating outdoors in Darwin). Font on the ever present motivational canvasses was a dreadful choice in my humble opinion. 😁 Overall very happy with our stay. Just a bit more comfort in the rooms would be nice.

Rooms well equipped, good location. Staff friendly and apartments value for money. Breakfast is terrible, cheap and nasty but not in price. Select 18 dollars worth of processed and pre made. 6$ for a large coffee that tastes like hot water. Shower head sprays whole bathroom floor. Seem to have put tacky Canvases throughout the hotel with quotes on and called it ‘zen’.

Our apartment was clean, spacious and modern, with a nice little verandah overlooking the pool. Just a few steps away was a view of the Darwin Harbour and a Cafe with lovely outdoor seating to enjoy the view. One staff member in particular was very helpful, not to sure his name but he assisted us in the Carpark when we couldn't work out where to park, he was really helpful and had excellent customer service skills. The bed was comfortable and the rooms well priced. Worth a try.

My family and I love coming here. We love having an apartment with two rooms and two bathrooms, and not being couped up in a single room with 3 beds, which is what most hotels like to do in Darwin. The views are amazing and the rooms are very spacious and clean. We enjoy the free WiFi and car parking. Plus, don't forget - a delicious buffet breakfast is included in most of the deals. Can't beat that!

Nice room right beside pool. Downside of that was kids literally screaming in the pool. Good small kitchen with all appliances. Bedroom with glass front and sliding door felt like you were going to sleep in the shower. Foxtel tv. Weird outdoor fan control and vertical blinds that challenge you at every turn. Great staff and a nice Plaza on the roof. Good food in the Plaza, and a small bar...if you don't mind drinking in the kids play area.

Clean and spacious... Not that exciting, but comfortable. The main reason for this review is to comment on the breakfast experience - they have this strange order sheet that you have to choose your items on - it's poorly desiged so you don't know how to correctly fill it out. You go to the counter with your sheet and then the person confirms your order anyway. Seems like it would be faster and less stressful for both the staff and guests to just use a normal menu! I was confused/amused as were other guests at the shambolic nature of this process.

The staff were very cordial and did everything we asked without a problem.Would also like to give Micheal Anthony a shout out for his management. Very clean rooms, bed made neat as a pin, spacious living room (bedroom was a little tight, but you're not there awake for long), and a balcony to enjoy the outside. The photo posted on air bnb sure showed a water view, however there are only two units on each floor that have a water view, the vast majority of units face buildings. Pool was great, breakfast (included) was good with a wide choice available, including a hot breakfast. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help.

Fantastic place to stay. Centrally located within walking distance of Town, Fisherman’s Wharf and Parliament House / attractions. We stayed here for 4 nights in a one bedroom apartment. Our room was a one bedroom apartment and was quite large with a full kitchen and laundry facilities. The breakfast here is second to none and is definitely one thing I will miss. The resort pool is massive and offers views of the waterfront. Staff here were fantastic and their recommendations were spot on and really made the trip.

Great views over a working wharf and the water beyond. Good location that's just a short walk to the well-manicured Stokes wharf precinct. The rooms are very clean and modern. We travelled to Darwin for a wedding and my parents booked the Ramada almost 10 months in advance to ensure we got three rooms together. They made multiple calls to ensure that would continue to be the case and were assured it would be fine. Unfortunately on the day we were allocated 3 rooms on three different floors. After a bit of fluffing around the manager was able to get two rooms on the same floor but a room apart (room 12 and room 14) while my room remained a floor above. I'm not too concerned by this, we got a free upgrade from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom. The living area was large and would be well suited to a family. Lovely furnishings and appliances. The bed was a little hard for my liking but the sheets were clean, as was the whole apartment. The staff were all really friendly in person and the breakfast included in the package was amazing. Great variety and very fresh food. We had a lovely 4 days in Darwin and would stay here again if we ever return

We stayed for four nights in a two bedroom apartment with another couple, the service we received from the time we stepped in the front door was excellent. The owners Micheal and Loretta are wonderful people and took care of us. We have not had this service in any other motel we have ever stayed in. I am here now. Have booked for a week and have had two fabulous nights here so far. I grew up in Darwin and to me, this place is representative of the hospitality and vibe of true Darwin. If you prefer posh and snooty then don't book here. The staff and owners are friendly, down to earth and approachable. My room is very comfortable and clean. I have a fabulous balcony. The breakfast is more than adequate and I can truly say it's the best hollandaise sauce I've ever eaten. Compliments to the chef. I've been greeted at breakfast both mornings by the very hospitable Les. I booked directly through the hotel after telling them the rate I was offered by another company. They beat the price and gave me a better room on a higher floor. My positive experience continued with the lovely receptionist @ check in. I enjoyed drinks & complimentary snacks at sunset @ Penthouse balcony. Not posh, but again, a memorable Darwin experience where guests were all intermingling and having a great time, encouraged by the owner Michael. I'm hoping to see a storm roll in while I'm @ the Penthouse. Time for a swim in the fabulous pool right now. Then I'll take a 10 minute walk into town and check out some Aboriginal art at Readback in Smith St Mall. I will be recommending this place to others who want a true Darwin experience.

Excellent rooms and staff are lovely. I try to stay here whenever I'm in Darwin, there is free indoor parking, a great pool and a restaurant attached. If you get to the breakfast you have a wide variety of food to choose from, with the usual sausages, eggs and bacon in the silver self serve heated containers. The only issue is the smell of mould in the rooms, unfortunately part of staying in Darwin which the hotel don't have a whole lot of control over.

Would have given a 5 star, but we were charged a $30 cleaning fee for supposedly leaving cigarette butts around the apartment when none of us smoke cigarettes. Also we stayed for 8 days and our room was cleaned once. One staff member was extremely rude (a cleaner) when we asked a question and made us feel stupid and was extremely degrading. I suggest reviewing your cleaning staff as they are the reason for the 3 star reiview. Location is great apartment was also great staff in the kitchen are fabulous. Unfortunately it only took a few bad experiences to somewhat ruin our trip.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The apartment was well appointed with all the mod cons. The towels were very clean and were changed regularly. The included breakfasts were delicious. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and we really loved the Horizen café on the roof. Michael, the owner, was a very enjoyable host in the Horizen; we had some fun nights up there. Murray, Naomi Anthony and Gerry were all lovely people in the Horizen and worked very hard to make sure we had a good time. The swimming pool was great but would have been improved with some better beds and some umbrellas for shade. It would be wonderful to have a small bar near to the pool; plastic glasses could be used. We will definitely be going back there next year!

Reservations were made 10 months in advance to have 3 rooms side by side, multiple calls during the 10 month period to confirm, at date of arrival rooms were not allocated correctly. 1 of the three rooms was given a free upgrade. Not all was a lost though, staff were friendly in person, rooms were very clean and extremely well presented, very close and within walking distance of Darwin CBD, parking provided was plentiful and had no problems finding parking.

We went to Darwin for my husbands 60th birthday as it was on his bucket list and we had a wonderful time the staff were very helpful from the reception staff to the kitchen and cleaning staff. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment overlooking the CBD and the harbour, the rooms were very clean. The pool was situated on the 3rd floor with great views on the harbour. We would really like to thank the owner Michael who when he found out we had a problem with our credit card and we could not hire a car got one of his staff members Jim to drives us around one night how fantastic is that, thank you Jim !!!!!! Also a special thank you to Mark who every morning when we went to our buffet breakfast (which was amazing) greeted us with a lovely friendly smile. I would like to give this hotel a 5star but it let's itself down in certain areas, but this is not a reflection on the reception staff, who I must say were outstanding. The first room we stayed in, the bathroom was off one of the bedrooms not ideal and I really don't know why they have designed it this way? The sliding door to the bathroom was broken and it took three visits to reception to get it fixed. The second room after our visit to Alice Springs was better design one bedroom,seperate bathroom, with a single bed placed in the room that we paid 50aud a night for, on our return to the hotel there was no bed, it was after 9pm so we contacted night porter, who wheeled a folded up bed, didn't offer to help set up, so unfortunately my daughter slept on the sofa,the next morning I asked a male housekeeper to help us sort the bed out, when he checked the bed he said it was broken, and went and got us another one this bed was quite small, but also very high, Quite dangerous really, but he said that was all they had! A bus is run twice a week to Mindal market, I think it would also be helpful to have a hotel bus to the waterfront, or Cullen Bay and perhaps a return service too, as a lady staying at the hotel with two daughters without a car, it is quite a lonely walk back to the hotel and crossing the main road, to get taxis every night is very expensive, and puts you off going out in the evening, yes you have the panaramic bar/restaurant but there is no evening entertainment and gets a bit boring. My recognition would like to go to Lisa on reception, who goes above and beyond to help you, and Charlotte on helping us book our Lichfield tour.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Ramada Inn Zen Quarter in Darwin between July 24 and July 29, 2016. Your staff was amazing and we loved the Horizon restaurant...what a great group of people who work there! We met the owner who invited us to a party at the Penthouse suite...but sadly we couldn't make it as we wanted to go to Mindil Beach to watch the spectacular sunset and to check out the market. My only wish was that they had a door in the shower area and not curtains as we had water everywhere. The bedrooms were a tad small....but we didn't mind so much as we came in, slept, showered, had breakfast, talked to your great staff and we were off to discover the wonders of Darwin. The bedroom was so tiny neither of us could fit our travel bag into the room. We had read a review before we went about there being no toilet doors, but our apartment did, so that was a relief. Main bedroom closed of with glass doors from lounge room not very private.

Wei Wei (receptionist) needs a pay rise, promotion or an Wyndam Resorts official certificate recognising the high level of service she provided to me from enquirying about the family room through to making reservation, i prebooked months ahead of our holiday at the Zen and Wei Wei answered most of my queries and assured me of the room i booked and kept me informed about the booking regularly. We stayed in famikt room 1505 from 20 dec 2019 to 4 jan 2020, 14 days of creature comforts, daily sumptuous buffet breakfast provided, friendly and ever helpful hotel staff are commendable from restaurant ladies, housekeeping ladies and gents, reception staff to even the resort gm, Michael Anthony, 5 star service, hats off to you all for making every guest including my family of 5, feel welcomed, relaxed and well fed at the hotel each and every day, thank you from all of us for making our experience is a memorable one and its a bonus to be in 1505 because my family were able to watch the fireworks at Mindle Beach and the Waterfront in the comfort of our large balcony. Forget the rest, Ramada Zen Darwin is the best.

A business stay in Darwin at the Ramada Zen Quarter was memorable for the views and in my accommodation being very comfortable and cool,the reception staff were polite and friendly and helpful in all directions and in organising taxis.My dining experience was 5 star due to staff in the Restaurant being super serious in addressing my GF (Gluten Free) needs ,right down to providing me with a new toaster to use in the restaurant.The offerings were generous with spinach,bacon,eggs mushrooms,tomatoes and pancakes being offered daily in the buffet choices.I enjoyed a few fish meals in the evening in the restaurant with the same care of my strict GF diet being observed.The Ramada Zen Quarter is kept buzzing by the main host of the building who meticulously met all of our Conference catering needs right down to all of us getting an ice cream each on a seriously hot day instead of a morning tea.Well done team

Positives: - friendly, professional staff - clean room - good breakfast with lots of options and good quality in the pleasant Horizen Café - quiet - spacious lounge / kitchen area - easy to get around with a car Negatives: - you do need a car to get around as it’s not in the CBD - small bedroom and bathroom - countless dumbly designed features which is the main reason why I’m not rating 5*: no screen shower so even the most careful guest will flood the bathroom floor (probably why the toilet paper is hidden in a cupboard), bedroom and bathroom light switches are inaccessible when the bathroom sliding door is open, bedside lights are too high and inaccessible while lying in bed, curtains do not block the light...
