A. A.It's so hard to write an excellent review and still do justice to this place which was nothing short of amazing! Ash, did everything he could to make us feel welcome, the place was super clean with a distinct aroma around the common areas. Location is amazing and the view from our room (room 6) fantastic. I would definitely visit again. Thanks for making our stay in Hobart unique!
S. L.After arriving in Hobart and realising we’d booked into a very disappointing hotel for our Anniversary trip we called Ash to see if he had any rooms available. He bent over backwards to ensure we had a spectacular room and view and we couldn’t be more grateful. The hotel is very classy, beautifully furnished, yet cosy and welcoming at the same time. Many little special touches such as delicious local produce for breakfast, freshly baked goodies, locally sourced bath products and complimentary brandy and port are just a few of the features that make Grande Vue a stand out. Both Ash and Brock are the consummate hosts and go above and beyond to ensure guests feel at home in their luxurious hotel. There is attention to detail in every room and both hosts have guest satisfaction at the forefront.
We wish we could give more than five stars and can’t wait to return for another special get away in gorgeous Battery Point at the Grande Vue! Thank you so much!

M.Before my partner and I arrived I knew we were in for a treat. Ashley was a fantastic host going above and beyond to make our 2 night stay special. The room was gorgeous and the views were spectacular. The little touches made it extra special such as the complimentary brandy, cake and cookies and assortment of teas. The bath products were organic and fragrant including complimentary herb infused bath salts for our spa bath. Our room held an air of sophistication with the Victorian English style and it was lovely to sit by the fire after a long day exploring with a book in one hand and brandy in the other. One of my favourite places I have stayed, we are looking forward to staying again soon.

The rooms at the Grand Vue Hotel do not disappoint. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and cosy. The view, was indeed grand. Overlooking the river, sunrise was an experience not to be missed.
Staff were accommodating and friendly throughout our stay and went above and beyond what anyone could expect.
My wife and I will return and stay again in future.

The added touches of quality locally made compliments made it feel extra special. We were in the turrets room with beautiful bay window views. We would love to stay again when back in Hobart.

The room was beautiful with amazing views & had everything in it that you needed including a Nespresso coffee machine..The hosts Ashley & Brock were so hospitable & made our stay so pleasant. Thank you. We can’t wait to come back again next year.
J.Very friendly welcoming. The place is immaculate with detailed design elements that makes you feel right at home. No expense was spared with the toiletries. The products are all bought from a local shop in the Salamanca Markets from this I know the owners are genuine people. The location is very convenient. Everything you need is within walking distance. I cannot wait to return. Highly recommend!
P. S.We stayed at the Grande Vue Hotel, right on the heart of Hobart CBD in the most fashionable, modern prestige suburb. The hotel was amazing, with a vintage look and incredible views from our room. We were so close to everything that we didn’t touch our car while we stayed there. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We went for a walk to Kelly’s steps, Salamanca (they have an amazing street market as well!), Hobart waterfront and enjoyed the cafes and restaurants around the area.

M. D.This accommodation is stunning! All the perks of a 5 star, high-end hotel but with a bespoke twist. Very boutique with that "BnB" type feel, it honestly felt like we were well-looked after guests in a beautiful mansion. We had incredible views of the bay from our room where we were delighted with a gorgeous sunrise each morning. The room was extremely comfortable and cozy. 20-minute walk right into Hobart, or a 5 minute Uber trip. Definitely a must if you're wanting a relaxing getaway in a quiet area, yet close to all the main attractions you'll want to do while you visit.

A. H.We very much enjoyed the clean, spacious room and ensuite, and especially the view and location. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but it seems to be within the going rates in the area. And it is at a great location. Close to the water, charming, and with neighbourhood restaurants nearby. To note, their reception desk is open from 8 am to 5 pm.

N. T.Hotel was a little tricky to find, as it is located in the middle of a residential district and blends in well as one of the residential houses. Keep an eye out for a red bricked building when driving along Mona Street!
Parking is just outside the hotel, along the street. The kind staff will provide you with a plaque to leave at your dashboard for free parking.
The room we had was very lovely, with a beautiful sea view, as requested. Clean, cosy, rustic and very comfortable. We spent an afternoon chilling in it because it was so comfy!

A. S.Wonderful boutique hotel with a great view in battery point. Parking is not an issue as they provide parking permits for street parking. It is close to Salamanca markets, and also one of the best bakeries in Tasmania - Jackman and McRoss.
