Just completed 2 weeks quarantine. It is good to be out, but the staff went above & beyond looking after us all. From little treats on our lunches and diners to puzzle books, a pub quiz which was set up by other guests but they played too. I will stay again when We come to Hobart, for sure. The food was really tasty too.

Can't recommend this place and it's staff any higher! My girlfriend and I unfortunately had to cut our Tasmania trip short and enter hotel quarantine at this place. All the reception and kitchen staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The bed was super comfy and the rooms were great. View from the window was also beautiful. Thanks heaps Ibis!

We felt so lucky to have the beautiful, modern and well appointed Ibis Styles as our quarantine hotel. We were lucky enough to be allocated to a room on the 10th floor with a lovely view over the Harbour. The King Size bed was a proper King, not two king singles and was super comfortable! The staff were all absolutely awesome and caring with special mention going to Jan and Georgia who were just so pleasant to us on the phone and even wrote lovely little notes on our meal bags and on my coffee, all of which was greatly appreciated and made the time in quarantine most pleasant!

Fantastic customer service. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and valued. The rooms are very compact but clean, modern and functional. The indoor swimming pool was nice to use. The restaurant/bar downstairs has very decent coffee and tasty food. Overall stay was a great experience. A great option for a business trip or more affordable accommodation.

Really nice clean modern hotel with no frills. I was very impressed with the room and bed quality for such a small hotel. Check in service was friendly and prompt, and they even have me a welcome gift bag as a Accor elite member. Room walls are solid and TV channel selection is generous. Downstairs restaurant is excellent as was the buffet breakfast. Will definitely come back again.
D. S.
Good location and the rooms are clean but I wouldn't stay there again unless the rooms had a toaster and a microwave available because I like toast for breakfast and also to have the ability to reheat food if needed.
S. R.
Great location but the room size does vary quite a bit. Our twin room was a good size so maybe ask for a twin. Easy walk to all attractions. It was staffed all night so arriving late was not a problem. Restaurants in Hobart shut really early, so if you want to eat after 8:30 pm you probably need to stay in the hotel and eat.

Wow, what a fantastic experience. From check-in through to check-out this was one of the best hotel stays I have had. Janice and the team at the front desk were so accommodating and friendly and organized our parking, breakfast along with some little welcome treats (6 pack of delicious beer, some red bull and some delicious local fudge). The breakfast was delicious and as an Accor Plus member was heavily discounted - thanks to Janice for organizing that! The staff were all super friendly and helpful and the facilities were amazing. I love a good sauna and the ones here are enormous with a beautiful 25m lap pool to boot. Amazing value for money, we will be staying here when we come back to Tasmania without question!

The rooms were small, there's no avoiding that. But we knew it from the outset. Having said that, they were neat, clean and functional.
Proximity to the city and attractions was good. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with every interaction. Buffet breakfast was decent and I possibly over indulged on the crispy bacon - worthwhile including the breakfast if your budget can stretch.
Plus the pool is amazing. Please do yourself a favour and take a set of bathers with you when staying at the Ibis.

Standard rooms are tiny and since they didn’t have one with a double bed I slept in a tiny single bed. Location is great. Close to the market, harbour, Airport express shuttle bus stop etc.The pool is nice and long, the gym is a bit tiny, …

I had the pleasure of staying at the Ibis Styles Hobart when recently hotel quaranting to visit Tasmania for a funeral.
The staff at the Ibis Styles were fantastic and made me feel very welcome and at home. The food and drink was also really good with a great selection.
Bed was also really comfortable which can be hit or miss with some hotels.
Would happily stay at the Ibis Styles in the future.

Stayed on a Sunday night, hotel lobby was nice and so were the staff. Room style was on a budget, hower everything worked, bed was very comfy and was generally a well functioning room. Had a breakfast included in my stay, for a budget hotel, the buffet breakfast was an outstanding experience. Would have liked to have seen traditional room service breakfast option, or a breakfast that started prior to 6.30 having to start my day at 7 made me rush and not have time to have seconds at the buffet. Overall, very satisfied with my stay, would not hesitate to stay again.
S. K.
One of the best place I must say, staff is very cooperative and polite. Must visit this place . Keep it up👍
T. L. K.
The view from the hotel is just amazing!!!!! You can see the sunrise with the ocean view, or the sunset over the mount Wellington. Friendly staffs and service is amazing as well. Bar staffs are quite slow at making drinks I would say, and water bottles should be provided in rooms rather than guests having to ask at reception. Overall, it’s amazing.

The hotel was great value and in a fantastic location. Staff were super friendly and as the hotel is quite new, everything has a cool, clean, modern feel. We paid a little extra for a deluxe room and even though the room was a bit small, it had a super comfy king bed, a lovely water view and had all mod cons - heaps of USB ports and plug points, a safe, neat reading lights, full length mirror and tea making facilities. The bathroom was a real surprise with a fab rain shower and wall mounted shower too. Weirdly, there were no hand towels and limited amenities (shampoo, shower gel and soap) so it would be worthwhile bringing your own. The bar was fun and modern and although we didn't eat breakfast, there seemed plenty of options. Would definitely stay again next time we come to Hobart.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Room was very clean, cozy and comfortable. Bed was great :) facilities were all well maintained. We have the buffet breakfast at the restaurant which was very nice with lots to choose from and all the staff were great. Only thing that I had a problem with was they took our full payment when we booked which was about 2 and a half months before we stayed, and I've never been charged that far in advance by a hotel before.
A. C.
I stayed here for my birthday. They caught wind that it was my 30th via my sister and sent me up some beautiful themed balloons and a chilled bottle of white wine.
The room was perfectly clean, everything in place and flawless. The front desk staff are very friendly and warm.
The pool is divine. I got up early and had a swim while watching the sun rise over the eastern shore.

I've stayed here twice for work purposes. Great location. Rooms are small but very cosy and extremely clean. The bed was soooooo comfy and the pillows so fluffy and big....bliss! The staff are excellent. Fabulous buffet breakfast. The ONLY downside is no room service. Not being able to have food or a glass of vino in my cosy room was disappointing. However, everything else was perfect!

Stayed here 2 nights (Friday and Saturday). Excellent fresh, new hotel in Hobart. Everything was clean and new. Staff helpful and friendly. Room was quiet, well lit with natural light and heavy curtain for blocking light when sleeping. Room size was adequate - didnt feel cramped, had enough space for two people with luggage. Desk was used for studying and suitable. Shower was great with two shower heads: one directly above with amazing water pressure; second shower head could be hand held but also attached to the wall. Choose manually which shower head you want to use. Free in room WiFi was excellent - no caching, good speed and didn't seem to be limited by quota. Nice 11am check out. Conveniently located, within easy walking distance of cafes, restaurants and CBD. Two car parks, both requiring additional payment: one beneath the hotel having limited spaces, behind roller doors and needing to be booked at reception; second car park is around the block (2 minute walk from hotel) in a public car park, it is slightly cheaper, but only behind a boom gate and the general public can walk in (I had no problems). There is on street parking, which can be free at certain times (read the street signage for details). Overall a very nice hotel. Good room prices.

This place is only amazing if you're an accor hotels member. However the rooms were very nice, but they lacked facilities where you could make you're own food, so you are forced to go down to the restraunt. The gym was quite small, but it had most of the equipment to suit your needs. Pool was also very nice, as well as the sauna and change rooms.
T. b. K.
We made a booking 4 months before arrival and asked for a room with view. On arrival they gave us a room on the 2nd floor without view. After addressing they gave us a room (for disabled) on the 6th floor. The hotel is fresh, new and colorful. The inside swimming pool is nice. We didn’t had breakfast. Location is good. Great bed.
J. S.
Good little hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are a little bit small. Gym,spa and sauna are great. The restaurant serves lovely meals but both the food and drinks are overpriced. Is in a good location. I always find that the service is absolute rubbish at the restaurant however at reception it is good.
E. R.
Handy location. LobbyLvery nice and great restaurant downstairs. Converge very polite informative and friendly. Standard queen room is neat and clean but not very design oriented. Our room didnt provide us any water and the toiletries consisted of 2 soap tubes only...no ear bud cleaners or anything else. Beds a little soft and lumpy for our liking. We recommend a stay.
A. O.
It's alright. didn't really reach my expectation for a four star hotel. when housekeeping cleans the room while im out it looks like the bed was the only one they did. rubbish wasn't replaced. they didn't take the used plates out even tho it's obvious i wanted it to be gone, already empty as well. there were no slippers had to buy them, not so much amenities, the room is really small. no room service. i even had to go down the lobby to get ice bucket. But there pool and sauna looks really good. The staff are friendly. Food is not that good either except for breakfast it was quite nice.
A.
I got very impressed with the hotel security and their liaison with the taxi company. I would like to say big thank you to the front desk manger, Dave who helped me retrieve my phone that i left behind in the taxi, within an hour. The staffs were very friendly, helpful and the bed was very comfortable. Great place to stay in Hobart.
B. Z.
Clean room, and great view. Most importantly, outstanding service from staff member Jan on the desk. She was hands down the best hotel receptionist we have ever dealt with.
R. H.
Nice enough hotel for its level. Clean neat rooms and very comfy beds. Bathroom has rain shower head (nice), but small bench top( not so great for a girls accessories). They let us have a later check out for no extra charge.
Have a lap pool with a view and a sauna which we didn't use.
Restaurant attached had great tasty lunch items (asian themed). Buffet breakfast was just ok... some asian items but congee thin and runny, and coffee from a dispensing machine ( not pods).
Close to salamanca place and market.
J. S.
Not a bad little hotel actually. Service was quick and friendly.
Rooms are modern and clean.
Food at the restaurant was pretty good. My boa however wasn't amazing. But curry was awesome.
Well located in the city.
Surprised to have the kitchen open till late. Which was nice as I arrived late myself and Hobart is a town that kinda dies early, especially on a wed night .
F. J.
So far so good, the room is quiet. I like the pool and sauna, the location is 10 minutes walk to Jacobs Office and very close to the restaurants. The room is clean and maintained properly. Happy to book here next time. I loved the funky penguin inside the hotel to welcome the guest.
E. R.
Clean and comfortable, room is small in comparison but it doesn’t much of an issue for us because we go out during the day. The bar/restaurant is a plus, you don’t have to drive to have a sip. Overall we enjoyed our stay, definitely worth a look if you’re not looking for a pricey hotel.
C.
Excellent hotel. For the value, it is exceptional. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and I found the Ibis Hobart to be comfortable, modern, and in a great location. It felt much more superior to other Ibis Hotel's and can't really be compared. The infinity pool on level 3, looking out over the city, was definitely a highlight. The beds were super comfy and showers great too. Check in did seem a little slow, and our initial check in experience was a little abrupt, but then we met Ana and she made everything better! Thanks for a great stay - we will certainly be back.
F. P.
Hotel was nice and clean which is what I look for. Bed was soft and nice pillows.
Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was well priced and standard with the continental breakfast. Pricing was good too. I will stay here again.
T.
It’s nice clean hotel with small but clean rooms. If you have a car to park they charge $20/night. The breakfast buffet is good have lots of food variety with Asian options. It’s right inside the CBD most attractions are close by. The fitness center is a joke very small and doesn’t open before 6am and gets crowded but they have nice pool and sauna
T. S.
Very modern new hotel. The rooms are small but well appointed; very comfortable bed. Lightning fast free wifi and 2 USB charging points in the room. Individual air con, okay however it didn't cool my room enough. Helpful friendly staff.
P. P.
We expected a bigger room for the price, but had a good experience nonetheless (room and bathroom were pristine clean). We could hear what I guess was the TV off a neighbour, but it didn't last very long... Pool was warm, and sauna very enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was to notch, plenty of options, fresh fruits, etc.. We didn't use the car park, as they charge 20$ per day, where street parking is free (weekend). Hotel is perfectly located, 2min walk from Salamanca market. (edit: fixing typos)
K. S.
Annoyed parking wasn't included. $15 first night had to leave car on level 5 at the cinema (1 block away). Given 5mins to unload luggage & move car to cinema location. Other nights secured carpark under motel $20/night. Staff were either very polite or rude. Room was small but on positive side it was close to town, park, markets. Great eatery attached to motel.
H. C.
Great location -5 mins walk to Salamanca Markets and has a lovely lap pool along with male and female saunas and a gym with gorgeous city views.
Room had a lovely big window with views of Mount Wellington and you could get breakfast or dinner in the restaurant. We had a fridge and aircon plus a pretty decent sized bathroom.
Underground parking is $20 per night but would recommend booking in advance as we got the last spot.
A. P.
Cozy place and modern look. I really enjoyed the bed and lightning in room and the wifi signal was strength enough even the fact the the room in which i stayed was at the side of the building.
There's a fitness center and a swimming pool in 3rd floor, and a nice Asian restaurant at ground floor, besides there's plenty of more dining options in the surroundings.
S. B.
Excellent accommodation in a great location which is walking distance to everything. Everything is clean and the staff are amazing. Especially loved the infinity pool - which has a great gym and sauna attached to it. Highly recommend ibis Styles Hobart.
D. D.
This is my second visit to Ibis Styles and it hasn't failed to disappoint. The staff are friendly and approachable. While the rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet.
The hotel is located in a great position just a short stroll down to the waterfront and Salamanca Place.
Thank you once again for a great stay.
J. T.
Love the view from the Macquarie street side. Pool and sauna great and unexpected. Gym helped work off the tassie brews. Restaurant nice and staff excellent. Great location - will stay here agin when back in Hobart town.

Wow! My second stay in less than a week & I've been dreaming of the comfy bed awaiting me all day! This fantastic new hotel has everything you need; friendly helpful staff, great location (in the city and a quick walk to Salamanca), pool, sauna, gym, & parking. The rooms are well set out, beds are sooo comfortable, & have a large shower cubicles and wifi. The bar is great and the two meals I have had at Mr Good Guy have been lovely. Looking forward to my next stay!
A. H.
Staff were friendly and professional, however it took no less than 40 cards to be tried to successfully code one to allow me access to my room, after another 10-15 failed attempts I settled for just one for my wife and I to share as we were in a hurry.(This was after waiting 10+ minutes for the previous guest to be checked in due to similar issues)
I then attempted to get into the car park, but the system wasn't working yet and there was a car stuck in-front of us waiting to get in, with the driver inside the hotel trying to get help but stuck in the queue of people waiting to have cards coded for their rooms...this put us further behind schedule.
Once we finally gained access to our room, the bed was unmade, there was rubbish everywhere and it was clear the room had not been made up after the last guest. A quick call to the reception and they apologised and offered to switch us rooms, as we were in a rush I asked if they could just have it cleaned for us, which they organised quickly and we had a knock on the door within 5 minutes. The room service attendant was super friendly and apologetic as with other staff interactions, it appears the hotel was going through first week teething issues and a lot of technical issues.
After we returned from our night out the room was clean and tidy and we sat to watch some tv, we wanted to stream from our phone on the advertised samsung smart hub tv.
However we couldn't connect to the 'free' WiFi no matter how many times we tried and the room was a dead spot for our mobile carrier.
We woke and went to breakfast, it was ok but I can only assume as we got there at 10:15 and breakfast finishes at 10:30 that we got ...'what was left'
There was a reasonable selection of cereals, juices, tea, coffee, bacon, scrambled eggs and breads, though most had been sitting there a little long.
When we went to check out the staff apologised again for any inconvenience and tried to offer me a discount, offering me free parking and a wiping my breakfast charge... then telling me how much I owe them, sadly again it appeared there was another technical failure as I'd already paid in full for room + parking + brekky.
There was a little umming and arrring and they then told me a reduced figure, again I reminded them I'd already paid and showed my receipt, to which the staff were very apologetic and then assured me they would investigate the matter and that I should keep an eye on the CC I used for the transaction as they would refund some of the costs due to my experience.
I spoke with the staff a little further, I told them I understand teething issues and appreciated their service, I inquired if I could leave my vehicle there another hour as I had a Dr's appointment, they had no issue and allowed me to leave my car parked there till 12pm despite the 11am checkout.
Overall the staff were fantastic, friendly and professional and definitely put the customer first. However the stay overall was tarnished by technical systems from the booking system to room keys not working and unmade rooms to the inability to access WiFi or get into the onsite car park.
Would I be willing to try these guys again?
Maybe... let's see if i get my promised 'credit' back to my card, and maybe give them a while to iron out the technical issues.
However, can't stress enough how polite and friendly the staff were even though it was clear they were dealing with a mountain of technical issues and frustrated customers/guest!
***UPDATE***
They did send me a small credit back to my CC as promised :)
Changed my review to 3 stars to reflect.

Relatively new hotel in Hobart. Just outside of the shopping precinct, but easy stroll into the centre of town. Rooms were nice and modern, however was relatively small. You couldn't party with many people in a single room! Reception staff very friendly and check in and out was a breeze. Would stay here again.
L. D.
Good hotel, very clean and staff were friendly. Had a nice view from the 9th floor out over the autumn trees and constitution dock to the side. Lost 1 star for an average meal (salt n pepper squid) but otherwise a very nice stay.
M. “. P.
The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Location is within easy walking distance to the CBD for shopping and waterfront for food.
There is a small gym and a lap pool if you need to fit some exercise in, it is kept clean and tidy.
There is a laundry room as well but as there are only two machines and dryers, if you aren't there when your wash is finished, your clothes will be moved so leave a bag big enough for your clothes to be placed in to just in case. The laundry room didn't give a rough timeframe for the cycles so it was difficult to work out when to get back in time.
Wifi coverage was ok, if you have a Samsung you will need to open the login page via your internet browser if the sign in page doesn't open automatically.

Excellent economy hotel. Located in the city centre and walking distance to Salamanca area. Hotel has an on-site pool, sauna and gym.
The hotel has a restaurant, Mr Good Guy which serves a buffet breakfast for $20 and Asian cuisine for dinner.
On-site parking is $20 per day but you will need to book in advance otherwise the hotel staff will arrange for parking at the nearby Village Cinema carpark at $15 per day.

Very pleasant affordable hotel a few minutes from the centre of Hobart. The room I stayed in was very comfortable, clean and modern; bathroom worked well, there's an iron and ironing board in the room and a usable desk for working at. The breakfast was included and was pretty good. I'd stay there again for business, but I'd probably look for a more characterful place for a holiday experience.
K. E.
Beautiful hotel, very modern and very clean! Great staff! Held our luggage until our room was ready prior to our stay and held it for hours after checkout until we left the city. Air conditioning was hard to figure out at first, but we got it in the end! Overall fantastic stay!
A. B.
Staff were very responsive and receptive. We came out on our honeymoon from America and they were nice enough to comp us a couple drinks and we got a great view on the top floor. The air in the rooms is very slow to adapt and the bathroom didn't have much counter space (also, the wife says the coffee is poor). The location is great; close to Salamanca, battery point, and more. Would definitely recommend
V. K.
No free parking for hotel guests, no spa/hot tub. There was no 'do not disturb' sign for the door, amenities were limited. Only shampoo and body wash was provided. No cotton ear buds. On the bright side room was Clean, hotel had a pool and it was close to the city where there are plenty cafes and restaurants, there was no noise
M. N.
Pretty well priced in my experience, spent five nights here on a group on deal. The staff were great and the position is excellent. There is a great restaurant downstairs that you can also order takeaway to your room. Parking can be a bit of a pain if you have a car so look into that earlier rather than later.

We just had the most fabulous weekend away!
We were long overdue for a break but couldn't seem to organise the time or the money so we went 4km down the road to the Ibis Styles Hotel. Because I told Brent Leonard (the front office manager who took my phone booking) that this was the girls' big holiday for the year, he and his team went out of their way to make it special -- a greeting sign with Ivy's and Ariel's names at the reception desk, the duty manager, David, escorted us to our rooms, there were presents on their beds, bunting on their bedroom wall, a specially reserved table with their names on it each day at breakfast, our own very attentive and caring waiter, Rajesh, looking after us throughout the meal, and the fabulous swimming pool where the girls spent most of their time.
Brent organised a late 2.00pm checkout for us so the girls could fit in two more swims before we came back to reality. It was absolutely fabulous! Every staff member seemed to be in on the story and we were treated like royalty. I can't speak highly enough about how nice they are there. A treat to remember!
J. L.
I enjoyed staying at this hotel, located conveniently close to the Hobart city centre. Room was clean, huge shout out to Alex receptionist for giving us free room upgrade, and also to Jan for recommending the most delicous seafood restaurant.
a. b.
Spent two nights midweek for business at the Ibis. Very good experience overall.
Central Hobart location, short walk to Salamanca Markets and CBD. Room was small but well equipped, well maintained and felt luxurious for the price.
Breakfast buffet was broad in scope but of middling quality. Would recommend going for a walk to a local cafe or bakery.
Staff were fantastic and the primary reason for my review. They were friendly, polite and helpful. Would happily stay again when back in Hobart.
C. N.
Nice and close to Salamanca. Room was clean and tidy with good shower. Room was fairly small. Had to wait quite a while in reception to check in, think there was a little computer trouble. Be aware that if you use thier secure parking and don't have a small vehicle, the entrance is on a tight angle.
M. P.
Lovely place located near city centre. Delicious, 5 star breakfasts! I’ve never met such polite staff! Lovely people!
I really liked the pool and sauna as well!
Perfect stay!
M. B.
Ibis was clean and the decor was nice however the walls were paper thin. Our room was right near the elevators and we could hear everything happening out in the hallway.
The air con barely worked and out of our 4 night stay we didn’t have one good sleep. The staff were ok however a male at reception on the way out was quite abrupt and seemed a bit grumpy, not the type of service were used to at hotels.
Overall our stay was not terrible, but it wasn’t great either. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to friends.
C. W.
I quarantined in this place, the hotel was good the food was great, which was something g to look forward too. I did study in the time that I did in that hotel and it’s what saved my sanity, but the security staff were the absolute pits.
S. G. J.
Great! Especially for the price!! And very good location we walked to everything while we were there! Only negative I have is watch your toes in the bathroom. I think between my boyfriend and I we smashed ours about 10 times in our short stay. The floor is not flush between the bathroom and bedroom and it’s a nice metal threshold. Loved the long lap like pool. As you can tell from the picture the beds were super comfy!!
L. A.
Nice place, decent staff and clean rooms. Just surprised that breakfast was not included. My room had view to the hall so I had to close the curtains all the time which ment my room had no sunlight - totally dark unless I turn on the lights - in the middle of the day.
J. N.
Stayed in both standard and superior queen during the long weekend. The rooms were exactly the same so do not waste your money on a superior room. Service and room was excellent and location was right in the CBD. HATE THE LIFTS HERE! There are 3 lifts but very cramped and takes FOREVER! Wasted 5 mins everytime i had to use the lift!
P. M.
Very experienced staff, fantastic venue for a conference, the rooms themselves are clean and adequate and befitting of a room for a night or two. If you're looking for something a little more pretty then there would probably be other places I would consider. Otherwise very nice experience and a great pool.
c. d.
I just liked this hotel. Nice n cozy rooms stylish. Good view from room. Nice pool n sauna. Nice shower. Direct USB charging outlet. Everything is good except the bed, it is really too small for two people.
I have shared the view from my room on 10th floor.
B. C.
I really enjoy staying at this hotel. The location is excellent, the bar/resturant downstairs is great. The aircon is always so good. Staff are great and parking under the hotel is very convenient.
S. j.
This place was awesome. Yes it's not long open and it might had its hiccups but not while we were here. The staff at reception are so polite and very helpful and in the know. Daniel who is just so knowledgeable and Sam is just so helpful. Then there's a waiter in their restaurant where you also go for your yummy buffet breakfast. His name is Liam. What a lovely young man. Worth staying here, quite relaxing and comfortable 🙂👍.
B. L.
What a surprising jewel in the centre of Hobart! We had a room on the 10th floor with views across the Derwent. The room was lovely with a king size comfy bed and a nicely appointed bathroom and complimentary shampoo and body wash. The restaurant downstairs serves an excellent breakfast too! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
E. P.
Had a sensational experience at Ibis. Sure the room wasn't big, but you don't need it to be when Hobart has so much to offer (and you're so close to all the action). 5 mins walk to markets, great cafes, and a little bit more to the wharf.
Super helpful staff too.
M. B.
Nice and clean, friendly staff, small gym and nice long pool. Be aware there is a snack bar at reception as you will be walking some distance for a snack or convenience store. The location is actually great despite this as it is very close to the Salamanca market and pier for you take the ferry to MONA. Avis car rental is also only a five minute walk down the road.
T. L.
I would like to thank your beautiful staff member Jan. She was a breath of fresh air for my son Jake & his friend Shane during isolation. They had spent 7 very tough months in lock down in Melbourne to have to isolate so close to home. Jan went above & beyond for them. Thank you beautiful lady xoxox
B. C. N.
New hotel, very clean and comfortable room. Good security to the rooms. Friendly and helpful receptionists. $20 a day for car parking is a bit steep. Good hot and cold breakfast, but everyday is the same.
R. L.
Just spent 3 nights at this great relaxing friendly hotel. A fantastic place to stay. I do not have one negative comment to share. Staff very helpful and friendly. Mark at the reception and all very helpful. Breakfast and evening meals delicious. We have travelled extensively, this is as good as any we have stayed in. We are definately coming back.Well done all concerned.

Small room, but clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast buffet which was reasonably priced. Being an Ibis there is no room service and no minibar.
Convenient location in the CBD, about 10 minutes walk to the waterfront.
R.
Modern but very small rooms. Would highly recommend booking a room above the fifth floor and on the harbour side of the building if you want to have some sort of a view or outlook as neighbouring buildings are very close. Good facilities other wise and the restaurant downstairs is highly rated.
P. G.
The team here at Ibis are fantastic, it was our first stop in our honeymoon. I cannot remember the friendly girl who checked us in but she was fantastic. Holly also gave us fantastic travel advise around Tasmania and made planning the rest of our trip very easy. Both great assets to the team and are very well traveled in the area. The gift on arrival was a great touch and well appreciated - a Fantastic hotel if you are unsure on where to stay in Hobart, central, modern clean and tidy . Thanks!
K. T.
A decent hotel for the price which was clean and had most amenities you'd come to expect. A big plus is having a hip bar & restaurant Mr Good Guy downstairs, helped fill hungry stomachs when everything else was closed. Parking was a hassle, and you might want to contact the property prior to arrival to see if it is available, though you could park along the street. Location wise it is a short drive to the waterfront or main shopping belt, though there isn't much immediately around the hotel.
H. M.
Cozy rooms, clean fresh and modern.Great breakfast options. Good location that is central enough to explore Hobart. Small gym, wonderful view from the indoor heated pool and sauna as well.
R. R.
Great hospitable service, great location with lots within walking distance. Convenient 24/7 reception.
I would like to thank Alex from reception for making our stay extra special/easy. From check in to check out, he was courteous and helpful. I will definately back to stay here because of him.

I booked a last minute one night trip to Hobart just before Christmas and thought it might be hard to find somewhere decent to stay and found the Ibis online. It was super easy to make a booking online. The check in staff where amazingly helpful and friendly and I was into my room in minutes. The room was immaculately clean and had everything I needed. The indoor swimming pool goes right up to the edge of the building and looks out over some of Hobart. I will definitely stay there when I go back to Hobart. The bar downstairs was really cool too with a great selection of beers.
V. O.
Ibis is a great plac to stay at, with wonderful staff and fantastic location in the heart of Hobart. The restaurant/ cafe downstairs is amazing with delicious food and drinks. The best part? Access to gym and swimming pool! Going for that early morning, 6am run in the morning was exactly what I needed. Definitely recommend this hotel. Love it!

Stayed here for 5 nights during my stay in Hobart. Excellent service from all staff. Convenient location so everything is walking distance. Our room was neat, clean and very comfortable to stay in.
K. V.
Very convenient location close to Salamanca market. Modern, clean rooms. Good breakfast offering, although breakfast room is rather small for a busy morning. Parking was full but that was not a problem for weekend days. Fast and efficient check in and out.
V. 7.
Very pleasant stay. Lovely staff, clean and updated rooms, 25m pool, sauna and small gym too. Walking distance everywhere! Stroll to shops, take aways, harbour or Sat markets. Buffet breakfast downstairs with good choice of meals.

Stylish Ibis at a great location
Like the title of the review says, this is one of the higher end – and swankier – IBIS properties that more than lived up to the expectations. Esp. at the rate we paid it was not just a value for money proposition that the brand lives for, but more of a steal!
LOCATION: Excellent location within walking distance from Salamanca Square and the waterfront
DINE + DRINK: A lovely Asian themed Chic Gastro Pub and restaurant at the lobby level with a great selection of Craft beers and Liquor as well as fine Fusion Asian cuisine
ROOM: I stayed in 506, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Distant View of the Waterfront and mountains that was sweet ; SIZE: Reasonably spacious room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Nice Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: House branded cosmetics which were OK.
FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines by LIFE FITNESS, but unfortunately no Free BENCH to use for Arms or Chest exercises! The Swimming pool is THE highlight of the place as it is a LAP pool that is fully heated with nice views!
SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile. Special Shout out to LIAM at front desk
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages

I have stayed here for 207 days I want to thank everyone at the hotel for there generosity. Hospitality along with a home like feeling i will miss you all I feel I can call you all family thank you again for allowing me to stay for my whole visit to Australia. If you are traveling to Tasmania and are in the Hobart area I highly recommend this hotel it's full of amazing staff. Hope to see everyone that's apart of the staff team again soon

Very clean and modern. Relatively small rooms but with good facilities. The restaurant attached to the restaurant was a personal highlight. Probably the best meal we had in Tasmania. Definitely recommend the hotel for a short stay.
J. P.
2 nights here in Hobart for a family occasion and I’m so glad I booked into this hotel. Clean, comfortable room with helpful and friendly staff. One of the best ... no, THE best hotel I’ve ever stayed in including European hotels I’ve stayed in, divine coffee from the restaurant downstairs, recommended very highly. Definitely will be my home base in Hobart in the future.
R. 4. A.
On Arrival the staff were very friendly. The room was modern and very clean but small. There were no snacks or mini bar,no toaster or microwave.I had a terrible view of a brick wall which made me feel very closed in! I asked to be moved and the view was just as bad I will post photos of view.I couldn’t have my window blinds open as people could see right in my room so my blinds were closed the whole time and I really hated that! The room I stayed in was 316 so don’t request that room!
S. M.
Had a booking restraunt, but because I wasn't asian, n it being chinese new year, they cancelled my booking to place others, even though we were booked 2 months ahead, the hotel was full oof asian children setting fire alarms 2 nights of a 3 night stay. Never again. Never experience anything like it in any accor hotel, or vacation club or wyndam vacation. They don't advertise they have a 30 car park under hotel....don't ask me why. For the monies worth a $270 ; bedroom broom cupboard. No view of a fire escape of the next building, n We could have stayed at the Chancellor down on the wharfes for an extra $40/ nught,3 times the size of room. With a view. I felt robbed.
D. G.
Great location in the city of Hobart for getting around. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are small, but just what you need for a place to sleep and are kept very clean. Car parking is available on the streets, free on the weekends (just mind the clear way in front of the hotel).
A. F.
It is a new hotel in Hobart and well worth a look as your accommodation. It has all.the amenities that most people look for and they are new. The rooms are small by usual standard but when it is for sleeping it is not a issue. The hotel has a bar and Chinese restaurant which is convenient.
N.
Clean, tidy and well located to walk to the majority of Hobart attractions. It’s more on the no frills end but completely suitable for the price. The staff were helpful and courteous. Heated swimming pool and gym are nice additions.
M. O.
Very good place to stay, staff very accommodating. Disappointed with the menu at Mr Good guy for evening meals but breakfast good. Remember to pre_book parking before arrival or your offloaded to overflow parking. No fun if it's raining!!
K. N.
Rooms are rather small although staff are quite friendly and extremely helpful. Amenities such as a laundry, gym and sauna are on offer. Great no fuss place to stay
D. B.
Beautiful Hotel in walking distance of anything important.
The rooms are comfortable, clean and styled nicely.
Thank you to Jan you are the best, you made us feel so welcome and special.
C. B.
Great facilities, clean, friendly staff and great dining/bar. However, being on the busiest roads of Hobart, they do not have onsite parking. The parking they do have is 1 block away and at $15/day is a little steep. Other than that, awesome place to stay
E. G.
Very good price in a perfect position + breakfast! Too bad when we checked in their key machine was broken resulting in multiple visits to the front desk to resolve the issue of firstly getting into our room and secondly the car parking space. Overall good value for money in a top location
M. O.
Was in Hobart fire two nights for business. The hotel is in a good central location, close to Salamanca area. Good restaurant and bar in hotel.
Single room had sufficient room with a comfortable bed and a very good shower.
I will be staying here again in future trips.
D. D.
Unfortunately didn't get to stay here due to COVID-19. But this rating is for how well they handled the situation, offering a number of flexible options including a refund in response. Hope to book with them when the borders reopen.
R. O.
Great hotel... Friendly staff. The young lady that works late nights on the front desk gave us lots of good info on things to do, as well as all of the friendly people in Tazmania made for a great honeymoon. Thanks again & we will definitely be back to visit.
M. L. (.
New hotel, so everything is clean and good. Conveniently located, near Salamanca Market, near Shopping belt and near the wharf. All within walking distance. Reception staff could do better though, maybe it's a one off. Still a thumbs up for me!
R. G.
New hotel close to the CBD, wharf, and Salamanca. Well appointed roooms with a bright and colourful theme. Nice views down to the waterfront. The heated lap pooland sauna are relaxing after a busy day. Highly recommended :-)
S. L.
A clean and convenient hotel in Hobart. A short walk to the city centre and Salamanca markets.
The bed was comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful. But don't expect any extra amenities.
G.
Felt that we were put in a room that was for special needs because we booked on Groupon. Wasn't nice having to use an ironing board in the bathroom to keep your toiletries on for 6 days. Other than that the staff seemed pretty friendly.
A. B.
Staff at reception were great, explained the facilities, discussed parking options and local places to eat. Rooms are small but very clean and the pool/gym are also quite good.
C. J. (.
Room was neat and clean. Was advertised as having free parking, but this was on street parking and limited times during the day. Would have liked water in the fridge as well as coffee and tea to save drinking tap water from the bathroom.
L. S.
Very good breakfast. Swimming pool is on the 7th floor I think. Rooms are limited sized but that is understandable, it's in the middle of CBD.
G. A.
had a great long weekend .Hotel is new everything sparkles staff are keen and helpful. Pool and facilities are great .Did not get the use the resturant a so close to Salamanca and docks food areas lots of choices.
W. H.
Good room in a nice location. One major probnlem was the funky power set up. You had to have your room key in this slot to get power to room. We like to sleep with fan going and tv on and that didn't work here.
A. R.
Needed somewhere to stay for one night in Hobart. Ibis provided a nice clean and comfortable room in a convenient location. Parking was fully booked but they were able to provide us with parking at a nearby secure carpark.
J. C.
Nice facility to stay, clean and convenient location for relaxing travellers. The reception staffs were nice and helpful. Parking near by, happy for the stay.
S. H.
Great place. Clean well situated. Would be good if I didn't hear people lifting and dropping wieghts in the gym... But I think that is only my luck being on level 2. Otherwise a nice place.
C. H.
We stayed last Saturday night the 15/7. Condensation was very bad on the windows and window sill hopefully that can be fixed. PARKING on the street was a poor option just glad it wasn't raining. Would stay again . Hope the minor problems with room 515 are fixed.10 out 10 to the great Bar person on that afternoon.
T. M.
The location of the hotel is really good, even you didn’t pay for the breakfast there are still ***y cafes and restaurants nearby the hotel. The size of the room is fair, try to ask the front desk if they could arrange the room with harbour view.
L. W.
Room & bathroom very clean.
Bed comfortable . Breakfast great. Friendly staff. Very central location Easy walking distance to Constitution Dock & shops.
Great view of Mt Wellington & Derwent River
J. S.
Small but well appointed rooms. The deluxe king is worth it for the bed. Very comfy pillow top on a firm mattress. Bring your own toiletries!
R. Z.
Nice, clean and straightforward. A good budget options for a quick stay. The checkout process could be a bit more efficient with automatic checkout. The directions from the overflow car park need to be better signed.
S. M.
I stay here a lot for work. The rooms are always well kept and have everything you need. Nice and quiet with big curtains to keep the morning sun out. Cool bar and restaurant.
M. B.
A nice hotel in a very central location in Hobart. Rooms were a touch small and probably a little pricey for what you get though. A great Pool area with good views, but it was way too cold, even for summer.
B.
Facilities A+, Customer service A+, Price A+... however, no room service or 24hour kitchen, and overnight parking was a mission, though at least they did have some kind of parking. Recommended for short stays only.
B. H.
This is a new hotel so as you would expect everything is shiny new 😀. 24 hour desk is helpful and efficient. The asian hawker style restaurant in the ground floor is quite good, but a little pricey for dinner if you are on your own coin, try at least once but do try some of the other local offerings
S. H.
Great value for money. Central location. Beautiful breakfast & wonder dinner. Only complaint is the steps in the pool are lethal. Too narrow, zero grip. They are a nasty accident waiting to happen.
T. C.
Breakfast buffet has something to cater all tastes. Rooms and amenities are good. Pool sometimes crowded, but expected due to the size of the hotel. Convenient location
I. H.
Comfortable place at a reasonable price. Bed was very soft but not uncomfortable. Beautiful views of the city. Nice and quiet but close to Hobart CBD. Walking distance to everything.
C. L.
Friendly staff and a nice room in a great central location, walking distance to Salamanca Markets. Be careful if requiring a park. They may place you in the offsite Secure parking which isnt open 24/7. If you have an early flight out, you could get stuck.
J. B.
This is a cheap clean place to stay. Has a bar and restaurant on the ground floor. Does not have parking but there are plenty of spaces close by. The rooms are small but adequate and clean.
A. B.
Ok hotel. Great bistro. However they advertise rooms with smart tv. Mine wasn't connected to internet though hotel has good Wi-Fi. Staff couldn't help and seemed surprised when I asked for tv to be connected. This tv option is a fraud
C. A.
Basic hotel stuff. Room was small, staff friendly, had a gym etc. Restaurant was a little pricy. Excellent location- close to Salamanca and the nightlife/ markets there.
M. M.
Great hotel. Even when the lifts weren't working properly staff made that enjoyable with their winning attitude. Nice place to stay for my business trip.
J. R.
Can only comment on the staff at the bar/restaurant so far as we paid a "sticky beak" visit last week to check the new place out.
Chatted with Emily, CJ & Matt who helped me sort out an iPhone problem (in his own free time!) who were most friendly and accommodating with our drinks.
If the welcome we received on this preliminary visit is anything to go by, guests should have a thoroghly enjoyable time at this snappy addition to Hobart's accommodation & dining scene.
Full marks.
C. D. S.
Comfortable rooms. Close enough to walk to CBD and Salamanca market. Not sure it's 5 star but I slept well and it was very clean.
J. H.
Rooms were small compared to similar costing hotels. Didn't provide all services as stated (carparking) but restaurant was great. Excellent food and fabulous service.
A.
Very clean and lovely service. Would be great if there was a room service option for food as we had to pick up from reception. Great location, quiet and close to the Salamanca market.
N. “. L.
This was the perfect hotel to start the Tasmania experience. Very clean, very friendly hotel, Great wifi. Good walking distance from all the action. I highly recommend.
D. T.
Great little hotel, nimble, cheap, staff are friendly, rooms are just big enough and the pool/gym/sauna is great. Keep up the good work
B. P. T.
The hotel is located conveniently near major attractions and the rooms are a good size. Everything is nice and new and the service is decent. Highly recommended for the price point
S. M.
Great price! Good value for money. Pool and Sauna was good. Breakfast was ok - needs a it more variety. The location is splendid being close to the Salamanca market
L. S.
Great clean rooms in Ibis. The restaurant is pretty good as well. The great point with this hotel is that its centrally located near Salmanca, Battery Point, Mt Wellington and Bellerive.
T. S.
Room and breakfast are great. Walking distance to Salamanca market. There are good restaurants nearby. Onsite parking is $20 per day, expensive but convenient.
S. M.
What a surprise 😲 right in the middle of historic Hobart. A very contemporary vibe is the new Ibis & reasonably priced. Short walk to Salamanca Markets through beautiful park lands. Docklands & city also a short walk away. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault it. Check out the pic's. Parking under Ibis is available for a small cost but get there early to get a spot if it's busy. We will be back. A real find. Thanks Ibis.
A. “.
Great location. Close to the city by foot. Very comfortable bed and quiet heating/aircon. Check in and check out was very quick and efficient.
y. m. o.
This hotel is awesome. Services are good. It has strategic location. Near to good food, nice places and city center. It should be your 1st choice of accommodation in HOBART.
K. F.
Lovely place to stay. Walking distance to shopping and eateries. Breakfast included lovely banquet. Very satisfying. Had a relaxing time. Views fantastic.
J. A. K.
They were very accommodating and offered a quiet room. The pool is great for swimming training and breakfast was very good.
S. T.
Their staff are friendly and try their best to solve your problem. Cozy bed. Nice gym and swimming pool. They even got sauna room. Need to pay to use the car park.
L. C.
Very nice clean but safe didn't work and no info in room had to ask for toilet paper after a room clean no details given about free wi-fi rang to get code to a young a little grumpy guy but was still a nice clean place to stay
B. H.
New hotel...or new'ish at least. So with that, everything is fresh and modern. Rooms were on the small side, and not 100% great for travelling business folk who need a bit of space for desk work.
R. K. H.
It is perfect, I am actually writing this review while we are currently staying at that hotel, amazing staff, beautiful location, very comfortable rooms.
R. N.
This is a review on behalf of the Radford family on the Gold coast.
My husband came with his brother inlaw to this hotel to stay and had a unfortunate heart attack, the help we got from managment and staff could not have been any better, we highly recommend this hotel ten out of ten.
J. G.
A part from the lack of car parking in this very nice new and comfortable place, The staff are friendly and helpful, The food is quite good and the service is great so over all I'd say it's a really nice comfortable new motel close to everything that Hobart has to offer.
A. B.
Room was really comfortable. Service was fantastic. Used the pool and sauna area which was great. Meeting room had the essentials.
D. K.
This hotel is quite near to Parks, shops and restaurants. To add on, the rooms are very clean, neat and presentable. The staff are very helpful and kind as well.
M. L.
Great new hotel. Very comfy stay. Amazing shower. Comfy bed. Clean. Included breakfast was good. Will stay again.
M. S.
Rooms as expected when staying at an IBIS, nice services including swimming pool, sauna and laundry room but most importantly very friendly and helpful staff.
J. C.
This is a wonderful new hotel in the middle of Hobart. If I had a criticism it would be the dinner menu. Asian 'inspired'.. so neither this or that.
Staff are bloody amazing and friendly...
R. S.
It's new now so clean. Rooms are very compact but neat and very clean. No room service and can collect from reception only after 10pm which is a bit different.
G. S.
Front Desk Manager, Dave is very nice ! He helped fix the problem when our booking was not made by the local tour agent!
Tracy is very helpful and recommended a restaurant to us.
劉.
Excellent swimming pool featured with great view and super clean. I also enjoy bright room. It makes me very productive and efficient for writing.
D. H.
Room was tidy. Shower was a good size. Pool ,Sauna and gym all amazing and the staff were super helpful.
a. l.
The staff and management are fantastic, we had a minor hiccup with our room, but it was quickly rectified and we were given free parking, and drinks, I was very thankful.
J. R.

P. R.

G. M.
Had a weekend stay at Ibis, great location staff very friendly and helpful, room small but adequate, excellent value with breakfast included would definitely stay at Styles again.
G. S.
Comfortable clean friendly staff, if you're just after steak, fish and chips your not going to get it at the restaurant just walk up the road, breakfast was great though.
L. C.
A modern and chic hotel minutes walk from Hobart CBD and Salamanca square.Rooms are reasonably sized and concierge was helpful with tips to get the best out of the stay in Hobart.
M. C.
The room wasnt very big but the staff are friendly and helpful. Very modern. The guy at the counter was very knowledgeable of the local area and gave me a recommendation for a cafe.
W. B.
One of the better Ibis Styles around. The car park was full however, we parked in the cinema car park overnight for $15. The buffet breakfast was fantastic.
M.
Very nice and clean upgraded for free to a king size bed. Friendly staff excellent room
S. M.
Loved this place for a start of a ripper Tassie holiday. Indoor pool, in house Asian fusion is great. Close enough for a good city wander. Will definitely go back.

T. M.
clean, tidy. We are very happy to stay Ibis. Fun with the roomkeeper who putted our piggs (two toy pigs) together after making up our room. Thank you!!!!
R. P.
Has hair dryer, iron, ironing board, good WiFi, coin operated laundry and good location. Bit pricey but ticks all the boxes
T. A.
The room was a bit on the small side and the view was directly into a conference room on the other side of a courtyard but the staff were, service and amenities were brilliant.
P. A.
Nice clean comfortable rooms. Location at city centre offers convenience for visitors. Buffet spread is reasonably good
R. M.
Room was nice although can't say cleaning was fully done, check out a little slow but staff attentive
G. D.
Nice hotel, Bit pricey but good facilities. Staff was really friendly except the person who checked us in. He was rude or racist or both
G. W.
Good location and nice service . The only negative part is my room is face to a wall of next building . However , I really enjoy the smart Tv in the room
J. S.
Awesome service, very comfortable rooms and the food at the good guys is sensational. Try the Pork Belly bau and tea smoked chicken salad.
R. T.
Modern, clean and very comfortable place to stay. Great location close to city centre and Salamanca market. Highly recommend.
A. N.
Good rooms, clean and tidy with good city view (not harbour view though mind you). Reasonably priced.

E. B.
rooms spotless staff helpful restaurant could be better pool good for laps gym could use an aircon rooms microwave
M. J.
The epitome of a 'meh' hotel.
Beds are average, rooms are dated for something so new but there's nothing offensive or terribly uncomfortable here.
You get what you pay for.
J. E.
Decent hotel in the CBD. Beware their onsite carpark gets full early and you have to park half a km away at a theatre.
C. N. (.
I was just calling to enquire about parking. The lady answered the phone was EXCEPTIONALLY HELPFUL I had to write a review straight away. She was polite, professional, helpful... Staff like this will get business for the hotel!
M. D.
Great hotel great position
BUT we had to pay $15 for parking which was around the corner cause their car park was full
Work that 1 out not happy with that little arrangement 🤤
D. M.
A great surprise! Rooms were fresh and vibrant. Great value for money. Highly recommend staying here.
S. H.
Normal Ibis hotel. Clean professional modern. Really nice friendly staff. Great place to stay in Hobart!
M. H.
Very new and clean hotel. The shower was great with good pressure and the shower head is not fixed to wall.
C. M.
The room was adequate. The dividing door was annoying as we could hear everything that happened in the next room. Management was efficient.
K. L.
Nice new hotel. Convenient location. Friendly frontdesk. Room is small and a bit expensive
M. B.
Great modern hotel, was so impressed, especially based on the price of the room was so low and included breakfast. Will definitely be back.

Great facilities and updated decoration, great value. If only the restaurant would be better, it's obit competent in comparison to the rest of the experience.
J. (.
Clean, friendly, good location, good price point between the top shelf and motel options. Great jumping off point to explore Hobart.

P. S.
It's nice neat place close to the center of town with a heated pool very good if you have children or a short walk to Salamanca
K. G.
The coin laundry was the only bad thing about this place. Only one washing machine and only one dryer and both are not very efficient.. had to spend am entire afternoon and clothes were not very clean or dry..
H. N.
