j. G.This was our first stay at Motel 429 In Sandy Bay, Hobart and we found the staff willing to help in any way that they could. The room we stayed in was clean and cosy, with no traffic noise coming from the road directly outside the Motel. The only things missing were 24 hour Reception ( but we knew that before we left home ) and there is not Restaurant at the Motel. Having said that you are spoiled for choice , with restaurants of all types in Sandy Bay and if you are inclined, the Wrest Point Casino is a few metres up the road , easily within walking distance plus Salamanca Market.and the City are close by plus there are plenty of take-away places within the region of Sandy Bay also. Everything is close by and accessible so we will have no problem booking in to Motel 429 with future visits. Also Free Wifi and parking. .

L. G.The room was well-appointed with twin double beds, an excellent bathroom and kitchenette. There was plenty of room to move, good access for guests with physical difficulties, the after-hours admission was smooth, the room well-maintained and both the location and hotel were quiet (a new baby was in a room nearby, yet we had no idea) but with good access to facilities. We will happily stay here in the future.

C. R.Lovely rooms with good self service facilities. Plenty of parking and easy to get the bags from the car to the rooms if you are carrying lots of luggage. It is not particularly central but not bad considering there is free parking there. The hotel rooms appeared to be brand new which was excellent .
R. G.What a hidden gem! I don't know why this place isn't packed out every night, it has everything any traveller to Hobart could need. Location, comfort, amenities and a view to the for - seriously, this folks this is a great little motel! Rooms are spacious, very clean, modern and well equipped. The bathrooms have awesome showers and the kitchenette is well appointed. The motel even had a gym, for goodness sake! And not at your high end prices either. Do yourself a favour take a look at this little rippa of a motel and save some cash! Highly recommended. Views from the motel windows are unsurpassed!

S. C.This is a well located and nicely appointed motel. The room I was in was very neat, clean and modern. I loved the large window which overlooked the carpark and partial view of the water and mountains. The only downside is that there aren’t any dinner or breakfast places nearby. The closed cafe I found was about a 20ish min walk towards the CBD along Sandy Bay road.

M. D.This is a great place for the price offered. Ample on premise parking (covered and uncovered) extremely clean and tidy. Lady at the reception was extremely helpful. Got a complementary milk can for morning coffee. Have all thw needed amenties, like cooking and microwave, complementary tea/coffee, etc. Rooms were great and roomy. Got a mountain view, closer to beach and nice stroll. Nice Italian pizza place (Manning Reef Cafe) nearby. Reasonably priced. Kids loved the place. Will recomend and will visit again next time.
