We had an amazing stay at this lovely hotel. The staff and service were excellent, nothing was too difficult and we were always welcomed with a smile. The food in the restaurtant was mouth watering and the the location is excellent, everything is within walking distance. We stayed for 3 nights but wish it was longer. The room itself was very clean and modern, great TV! We loved our stay and will return in the future. Thank you for making our short stay in Hobart so great!

The room was nice and clean. the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very stylish. The staff were incredible. They were so friendly and lovely while staying professional. The restaurant had delicious food and the daily chocolate was fantastic. The hotel is also a short walk to the harbour and the Salamanca Market. I would definitely stay there again.

Had an amazing 6 night stay. The reason I wanted to write this review was because the service at reception was beyond exceptional. Every request was met with a friendly smile and in a quick manner. Only negative was the actual breakfast meal was quite dry/overcooked the one time I had it. Service at the restaurant was excellent as well though.
Rooms were very good and cleaned every day. Hotel felt very new and you could Chromecast your streaming apps expect YouTube. Only complaint about the room is there was no mirror in the main room. Even if it was tucked away in the closet would be helpful.
Would highly recommend a stay at Movenpick Hobart if you aren't sure where to stay. Location was perfect and central to everything. Price was excellent for what you get and I usually stay at slightly cheaper hotels, but this was a great experience.

As soon as my six friends and I walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful. Everyone we spoke to were happy to arrange anything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We ate in the lovely dining space from the delicious breakfast menu.
We also enjoyed some cocktails in the dining area with the entertaining Lewis.
We were walking distance to the city shopping, Salamanca Market and the waterfront. Highly recommend.

It was an amazing stay in this hotel all smiling faces, extremely customer service focused, very friendly, clean , clean and clean.
If I go back to TAS I am for sure staying there again. Highly recommended to picky people. My mother is the most difficult customer and she was happy with them so much.
Made my experience very happy
And I have been in my fair share of 5 star hotels around Australia

This hotel had excellent staff who were super attentive and made our stay memorable. All their recommendations were top notch. The rooms, food and gym were all brilliant. I’ve recommended to my friends. Thanks for a great stay.
L. L.
Why this is not a 5 star hotel: Parking is extra, room service is extra, no porter, no pool/spa/sauna - a small gym is the only guest amenity, even a superior room does not have a view (unless you include the bus shelter across the road), and both the bathtub and sink in our room leaked water, so we couldn't enjoy a bath or wash our dishes. Also the restaurant staff were not particularly friendly during our experience dining there on multiple occasions, and at check out hotel staff tried to charge us for the complimentary breakfast included in our rate. It's also extra to fill out the breakfast order card in your room.
This was a 4 star hotel at 5 star prices. And the other 4 star hotels nearby have more to offer.

Best hotel in Hobart. All of the staff from the cleaners to the general manager are so friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself is new, the rooms are AMAZING. There are a range of rooms, so if you would like to know more about a room before booking, give the hotel a call, ask your questions. We have asked them so many questions and they can always answer them.
The on-site restaurant Tesoro is so delicious, and has very knowledgeable kitchen, restaurant and bar staff.
I haven't included room photos, as there are different types, and we love a bit of a surprise when staying places.

We had a great stay at the Movenpick in Hobart. The location was central, we had easy walks to Salamanca, Battery Point and Victoria Dock. The staff we excellent, attentive and efficient. We slept well in a very comfortable king bed, there is a pillow menu and we needed to order a softer option than what was supplied in the room. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

Finally, a new hotel that's done it right!
GREAT pillows (2 types on the bed) fluffiest towels and power points everywhere a traveller needs them (there's enough for laptops, cameras, phone and watch chargers!)
Hotel bar is decent with great staff. And both dinner and breakfast offerings are great! No Ice Creams though lol

Absolutely amazing service, best I have experienced. From the reception to restaurant the people were amazing. Wonderful facilities and amazing food finished this stay off amazingly. Special thanks to the waiters especially Luigi, thank you for such a wonderful experience

This was a ‘last minute’ reservation, as we quickly changed hotel as the other hotel we had chosen was not up to standard. Lesson learned! The staff at Movenpick Hobart (Richard and then Bridget in particular) could not have been more responsive, empathetic and professional. We will DEFINITELY stay here again - never underestimate the value great customer service contributes to a memorable stay.

Good location, good service as you would expect. However one exception which really annoyed us. The hotel offers a private shuttle pick up from the airport and that was not the experience or level of service we were led to expect. Our ‘driver’ was over 30mins late and when he turned up it was just an ordinary taxi. He was supposed to meet us on arrival btw. If we wanted a taxi we would have walked out the door of the airport and got one on time and been at the hotel a lot earlier. We were given the excuse of ‘there was an accident’. This was utter rubbish -we checked traffic reports etc and were the only people left waiting. To add to the experience our taxi driver then tried to drum up further business from us during our stay on the entire journey. We weren’t given the opportunity to give feedback when we checked in and checked out because he hung around the desk the entire time. We will never use this service again -poor and misleading and not a good start to our weekend

Movenpick Hobart is a beautiful hotel in a convenient location. The concierge staff are friendly and helpful (special thank you to Bridget - you made me feel very welcome), rooms are clean, and the housekeeping staff are also lovely.
I did not get a chance to try their restaurant this time, but it smelled wonderful as I walked past, so will definitely give it a go next time!
Update:
Stayed a second time and got to try the Tesoro restaurant this time - absolutely delicious! We tried to order something different every time (had breakfast and dinner a few times) and every dish was amazing. Definitely a little bit pricier than elsewhere, as you'd expect from a nice hotel restaurant, but they put in a lot of effort to make the cost worth it. The restaurant staff are attentive and welcoming, and every dish is worth trying. Our personal favourite was the hotcakes!
The room we were assigned to this time was also clean and spacious, and we also enjoyed using their valet service for our car. Great hotel and will be choosing to stay at Movenpick every time we visit.

This modern, fresh hotel is in a great location. So easy to walk into the mall or down to the docks. The food in Tesora restaurant is wonderful, and you really should have breakfast there at least once during your stay. But the hands-down best thing about our stay, would be the staff. Efficient yet very friendly. Professional but oh so caring. The culture here is magnificent and each staff member we encountered made us welcome and comfortable. It’s a credit to Joshua and the management team. I’d be back in a heartbeat and will now be happy to choose a Mövenpick wherever I find one in my future travels.

A lovely hotel the breakfasts were amazing they were so busy but always fit you in ,the restarant also had great coctaiks and dinners. The staff were very friendly and proffesional from reception to bar and food staff. Very close to all thw cbd sites and close to woolworths if you need supplies. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfy the bathroim great. The only problem was no matter which room we Had we had a view of a brick wall twice as it was the hotel our tour picked . It wasnt a massive problem but be aware alot of rooms have views if walls

I hope whoever stays here has the pleasure of meeting Richard, Joshua and Yui. These three made a simple holiday into something sublime.
Much love and respect. The room was perfect, booking was smooth, checkin and checkout were smooth. Basically an A+ experience. These three deserve a promotion and then some.
D. P.
We are staying at the Movenpick Hobart, we received an upgrade for both of the rooms we booked, the check in was very smooth, the facilities are excellent, it is very clean and centrally located, the staff can’t do enough for you, we were very surprised when we observed the senior managers walking around, talking to guest, they were very genuine and helping where needed. The carparking is offsite, but very easy process. The day before we arrived we received a call ensuring we knew how to get to the hotel as it is for residents only and enquiring as to if they can help in anyway, prior to our arrival.
As diamond members, a lot of hotels which could learn from the managers and staff of the Movenpick Hobart.

We stayed here in April 2021 and had a fantastic time. The rooms are well designed and well appointed and the customer service is excellent. We had one small issue with a bill charge during our stay which was immediately dealt with by the team and were very accommodating. They also went the extra mile to leave a small surprise for my partner's birthday when they discovered it was the reason for our stay. Recommended as a great and central location to stay in Hobart.
J. X.
Very good food in the restaurant. We came the first time last week and we visit again this week and bringing our friend. Best Italy restaurant ever in Hobart. Friendly bartender and good talking with us get us great experience. My recommendation for Salumi, sirloin and prawn pizza. Wish this help you guys.
D. B.
New hotel in block next to Hobart Mall. Clean rooms with new furniture and fittings. Excellent breakfast menu. Only valet parking available.
J. M.
I’m a quadriplegic with no movement from the chest down and when me and my partner travel we have a fair bit of equipment to cart like hoist, shower chair ect! The staff meet us on the street and couldn’t have been more helpful with helping my partner with everything as she usually has to do it all on her own the reception staff were absolutely incredible and so accommodating as we were there for my partner’s birthday and they made it so special with little compliments! We stayed on the top floor suite the room size was incredible the bathroom was so big it made everything so easy and the view is spectacular could not recommend this place any higher and we will be continued guests in the near future as location is perfect to top it all off!

Amazing service. From reception, and engineering services to the restaurant staff. My now fiancé and I had a great time. Clean gym facilities, great valet parking, amazing rooms. great onsite restaurant and right in the city.

Very nice new hotel in the heart of Hobart. Stayed here in June 21, but had been too busy/lazy to write this review.
Staff were very friendly. Special mention on Richard at reception who sent a plate of nice chocolate to the room after knowing I was in TAS as a Birthday trip.
Lunch at the restaurant was nice as well.
Very happy to have stayed here.

I have travelled the world and have never encountered such welcoming staff, genuinely friendly, proficient and catering to all your needs so promptly. Everyone from the General manager to reception and restaurant waiting staff made our stay so memorable that we cant wait to go back! The restaurant at these premises offers delectable meals and cleverly offers breakfast all day, so no need to rush in the morning. A special thank you to Joshua, front office Manager, who was very attentive and made us feel like family and not just guests! 10 stars!!!!

As soon as we entered, the friendly warm greeting and assistance was the best first impression. The next day when tesoro welcomed us for breakfast; i realised this place is definitely amazing. Thank you everyone at tesoro, i will miss that chicken,Ice cream stuff in the breakfast..really amazing.

Room service - 4/5

Staff-5/5 ( the first impression)

Amazing service, amazing rooms, amazing location. Couldn’t recommend this hotel any higher! If you’re holidaying in Hobart, this is the place to stay. My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights here and all of the staff were friendlier and more helpful than any other hotel i’ve ever stayed in before. Impeccably clean rooms and within walking distance to most of Hobart. 5 stars, we will definitely be back.

As a hospitality professional and a Heartist myself, It feels so good when the way I give service to my guest was reciprocated everytime I stay at Mövenpick. All staff never fails to go above and beyond and Georgia at the front desk is highly commedable in her exceptional service. I can say she posses a true spirit of a Heartist. She know the work around in terms of customer profiling and shaping customers journey and thats commendable. I have stayed here few times and I love to stay again and again everytime I visit Hobart. It feels so homely and very welcoming. It tick all the boxes of what I need for. Well done to the team.
M. O.
Newly refurbished hotel in an ideal location. From check in to checkout and everything in between, the service of quality was outstanding.
From now on Movenpick will be my hotel of choice when available.
E. M.
The restaurant was lovely, the room beautiful, but the staff were exceptional and really helped enhance our stay. Close to several attractions and a good central base to see Hobart from.
M. T.
Service was great. Nice new hotel in the centre of the city. Jane was very nice upgrading our room we get nice view of the city and Tasman bridge. Restaurant was good.

I travelled to Hobart for my birthday/holiday and stayed at Movenpick for 4 nights. As my holiday was to save me from burnout, all I want from my place to stay was to be comfortable to relax and to be convenient to get around. Movenpick ticked all the boxes for me.
Location: Movenpick is only 20m from Elizabeth St Mall and other main streets for your dining and shopping needs. It's also 3 mins walk to the Visiting Information Centre, less than 5 mins walk to Elizabeth St Pier and Brooke Street Pier. The City Interchange bus stops are in front of the hotel if you use public transport. Super convenient indeed.
Room: I was upgraded to a Delux room with a king bed and a view of the CBD on the 13th floor. The room was spacious for me as a single person but may not be the same for a couple or a family with a small kid. The bathroom came with a shower and a small bathtub. No complaint about the bathtub as I’m small too but perhaps not ideal for tall people. I’m a side sleeper, so I appreciate the option of firm pillows they provided. And the blackout blind did a great job at letting me sleep in in the morning. Overall, clean and comfortable room and bed for me to relax.
Staff: This is perhaps my most favourite aspect of this hotel. The staff were so friendly and kind to me. Big shout out to Richard who helped me check-in, organised the birthday treats and let me check out late! And other receptionists who always greeted and smiled at me in the morning and evening without failure, thank you. Never under-appreciate the power of smiling to make someone’s day! Finally thank you to Tesoro’s bartender/staff that made me the special drink for my birthday dinner! It’s yummy and now I want to know the recipe to make it at home 😉
Overall, I will definitely stay at Movenpick again when I visit Hobart and would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We had a great stay at the Movenpick Hotel in early November. The location is brilliant, we had a great room and the customer service was superb, beyond our expectations. Thank you everyone in Movenpick Hobart.
T. T.
Absolutely stunning experience! Staffs are lovely, friendly, attentive and helpful - in particular Richard who made our stay much more indulgent. Thank you! We will definitely be back if we visit Hobart again.

Stayed there in June 2021 for Dark Mofo week. Fantastic hotel with exceptional service. The location can't be more convenient close to all shops, the waterfront and sightseeing locations. I was upgraded to a superior room which was on the 3rd floor facing Elisabeth St. The room was very spacious with great features such as a nice couch near the window, chrome cast enabled TV (to connect my phone), tea and coffee facility and free water daily. The bathroom had a walk in shower and a bathtub which is a bit narrow but nevertheless does the job after returning from a cold winter night at Dark Mofo.
Valet Parking can be arranged at concierge for $30. The hotel has spaces in the Trafalgar car park next door. The valet is good if you need the car outside the car park's opening hours (which are very limited incl Sunday closed) or if you can't be bothered driving around the car park looking for a public car spot (limited). If you can be bothered it's $18 flat rate over night.
The cocktails offered at the bar are great and creative and the bar staff very nice. I did attend chocolate happy hour and that would be the only offer which didn't meet expectations. The chocolate wasn't great. The money is better spent at Riverdale High Tea.
Highly recommend to stay here and will definitely come back on the next visit.

Absolutely fantastic hotel.
Its right in the middle of the city. Impeccable service. Chic decor. Great room with comfy bed.
They have an amazing restaurant downstairs which serves up killer breakfast. One of best breakfast ive ever had.
You will have to ignore the “bus only” sign and drive into the street. Theres a 5 minute drop off parking infront of the hotel”
They have complementary Chocolate hour
And free ice cream for kids!
Valet parking is $30
Theres free 1 hour parking at argyl st parking.
Street parking $3-5 per hour. Free after 6pm till 8:30am around the city and close by.

This hotel and team are amazing. I received such a warm and amazing welcoming. In particular from Richard and josh. Their service was of the highest standards would defiantly recommend and return to this establishment. Luigi at the Resturant bar also deserves 5 golden starts. Thank you team Movenpick and see u next time

Our stay at Movenpick Hobart was just amazing! The location was walking distance to everything, wharf, Salamanca. The customer service was exceptional, thank you to Hayward, Joan and Seth whom gave a personal touch to the experience. The hotel room, amenities and service is of high standards. We will definitely be back!

Probably one of the best, if not the BEST hotel I’ve stayed at in Australia. Every staff member (concierge, restaurant, bellhop) were fantastic - highest level of professionalism and super lovely! The food at the restaurant was amazing and is highly rated within the area. The location is amazing - close to the mall, botanical gardens and docking area. This hotel has really set the bar for elite service provision. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family and will be rebooking for myself in the future. Thankyou Movenpick!
A. A.
Great location.
Rooms were clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Small but not cramped.
Breakfasts were lovely with options aplenty.
Staff were friendly and helpful especially front of house manager Joshua who was excellent in every regard.

First time in the Mövenpick brand hotels. Loved the details of the room (small but practical and new), the hotel, the restaurant. Amazing service. Great food, breakfast, dinner, the Chocolate Experience.
Highly recommended. Would stay there again when in Hobart.
A special mention to the manager on duty - very professional and kind!!!
PS. As it is part of Accor hotels now, great benefits for members...
M. M.
The hotel and service was beyond exceptional! We stayed in the Superior room - comfortable, modern and very spacious. Central location close to main attractions in Hobart. We’ve been to so many other hotels and the service doesn’t come close. The service provided by the staff was impeccable! From the moment we checked in to leaving we couldn’t fault anything. Everyone we dealt with went above and beyond. Thank you Richard, Joshua, Hayward, Charlotte and Aya!! We will definitely be staying here again and have recommended to family and friends
C. C.
We had a lovely night here in a beautiful and spacious deluxe room. Georgia on reception was very friendly and helpful and lunch was excellent. A big thank you to Joshua for our yummy chocolates.
The breakfast at Tesoro was impressive and very yummy.
We can't wait to come back!!!

we had Jason for our table when celebrating my partner's birthday and was really glad to have Jason for our table. He's kind, attentive, funny and just a angel full of joy :)
thanks Jason for making our night special!

Thank you again for an incredible stay at Movenpick. It really is our home away from home and yet again we are already planning our next visit. The room, service and scrumptious food are second to none - (hey Chef the oysters and amazing) - and the staff are always smiling and eager to help making each stay better than the last. Special thanks to Joshua and Jeremy, you are incredibly generous and welcoming and always make Scott and myself feel special...look forward to seeing you again.

Loved our stay at the movenpick hotel Hobart. The location is good and it is extremely clean and new.
Decor is quite modern and the view is really good. The mattress was very firm and so was the pillow (it was fine for us, but I can see this being an issue for some guests).
Although parking ($30 valet) is steep, there is plenty of free overnight parking (as long as you can move your car around 8-10am within a 400m walk. There is 5min parking outside the hotel so you can drop off and pick up luggage.
Room was not big, but the deluxe room we booked (1201), was enough for two people. I really liked the USB charging ports and the Chromecast options for the tv.
As accorplus members, we enjoyed a nice dinner at tesoro (separate review) with our restaurant plus benefit, in addition silvers and above can have their welcome drinks with dinner (as we did) or take to the room (we did this too).
Overall I would come back to the movenpick next time I'm in hobart.
A. B.
Currently staying here with my husband and our three girls, could not be more happy!! The hotel is spotless, rooms are specious, the food is absolutely yummy..
The service and staff are just amazing, so happy to help with anything we need and very professional.
Next time we are in Hobart will be definitely coming back here!!

We just returned from a 2 night stay and whilst we didn’t get off to a great experience ( arriving at approximately 9 am and understandably our room wasn’t available) we left our bags and was assured our room would be ready by 2pm. On returning at 2pm our room wasn’t available much to our disappointment we were encouraged to wait in the bar, receiving a courtesy drink each. Our room was eventually available at approximately 330pm, thankfully from then on it was an extremely pleasant stay. The rooms were well appointed. With a very comfortable bed, large modern bathroom with a nice long bath. The highlight was the restaurant and staff, beautiful food, friendly attentive staff yet not intrusive. Breakfast menu was lovely and varied. We would definitely return even though our check in was delayed which was the only negative. Great location.

I really wanted to love this hotel, I booked the deluxe room which as far as I know is their highest tier of room below the suite purely just to get a river view and at check in the staff member saw that we were in a deluxe room and told us how good the view is. As these things go I get to our room and am greeted by a view not of the river but of old style buildings and parking lots. A bit disappointing but I wasn't going to be that kind of customer and go complain about it. I checked the website to see if I was the one that made a mistake and looking at my room I honestly could not see a difference between it and the cheaper classic room. Whether this is the fault of the staff or me being a gullible consumer and paying more for the same product I'll never know. On top of that we wanted to eat at the in house hotel but found it was booked out even though we tried to book well in advance, having a popular restaurant is fine but it would be a good idea to warn the guests at check in to book ahead if they want to eat there. Instead we got room service and it was unfortunately pretty awful. My partner got the $28 calamari and got at most a tablespoon of what was looked like white noodles but was probably squid? In addition some chips and tomato sauce. Apparently there was meant to be a salad as well but we didn't see it. It was something that if you spent $10 for at a takeaway you'd never go back, at a premium hotel this is unacceptable. Maybe it was a mistake because my $24 chicken and pineapple burger was perfectly fine.
Overall it was nice but the small room with no view that we paid a premium for that seems the same as the normal rooms with the poor food service as well as other issues I don't really want to go into like no reasonable parking options and the fact that the lighting in your room is either everything on or everything off (with dim reading lights) make movenpick a bit of a disappointment.
K. L.
Great views, very helpful staff. Luxurious stay. A bit small but most people don’t spend much time in rooms anyway.
J. D.
We had a great stay at Movenpick. The hotel is located centrally to the main attractions in Hobart and is very modern and clean. We were upgraded to a lovely view of the harbour. Shaun was very welcoming and friendly. The food at the restaurant was also delicious and fresh
T.
A fantastic hotel, in a great location that is close to everything. The Superior Suites are stunning - great layout, very spacious and with a modern yet warm design (the bathroom is huge!). The views are incredible, harbour views and city to Mt Wellington (the suite takes up a corner of the floor), doesn't get better than this. Staff are amazing, friendly and helpful.
B. 3.
Absolutely loved our 5 night stay at Movenpick Hobart. We received an upgrade to the 17th Floor and wow, the view was amazing. We had our own balcony looking over the entire harbor. The room was perfect, the bathroom was amazing, the bed was so so comfortable. The location is excellent, literally a 10 -15 min walk to Salamanca or $6 in an Uber if it's raining.
All the staff we dealt with during our stay were so friendly and even recommended some lovely places to eat in Salamanca when we couldn't get into the hotel restaurant.
If I was to go back to Hobart, I would definitely stay at Movenpick again.
C. W.
Stayed in the deluxe room and it was fantastic. Great service, and the hotel is new so felt very fresh and clean. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time we’re in Hobart!
P. B.
Movenpick Hobart is a fantastic hotel!
The service was excellent and every staff member went above and beyond.
Josh, Richard, Aya, Georgia and the breakfast team were a pleasure to deal with.
The rooms are spotless and comfortable, particularly the bed and pillows.
This hotel is centrally located and convenient for business and leisure travel.
We loved the fact that breakfast was available till 4pm everyday. This is a nice point of difference, compared to what other hotels offer in the same vicinity.
A special mention to Josh who made our stay fun and FABULOUS!
I am about to book our next stay here, see you all again soon.
Thank you for looking after us.
J. V.
Beautiful comfortable rooms such lovely staff members. The staff were friendly attentive and we received the warmest welcome.
We did get confused with parking other than that we would certainly stay there again when we come back to Hobart.
C. C.
We had a wonderful stay at the Movenpick Hotel celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. From the time we arrived the professionalism and service from all the staff was excellent. Special thank you to Shaun who went out of his way to recommend Hobart's best venues to wine and dine. I would definitely recommend Movenpick Hotel as a part of your Hobart/Tasmania experience.
W. J.
The icecream was amazing but very much lacked in hazel nuts. Room was alright.
M. B.
Great new hotel in Hobart CBD. Staff were so friendly, especially Richard on the front desk.
Rooms were modern and spacious. Hotel restaurant Tesoro was really nice and worth visiting while staying.
A. P.
Lovely new hotel. Staff could not do enough for you. Great restaurant and amazing views
C. K.
We enjoyed our stay in this new hotel in the prime area with shops, car parks and restaurants in the nearby. Our deluxe room has a great view of the city and the bed and pillows (with 4 choices) are comfy.
K.
A beautiful hotel with superb service. Particularly Louis down at the bar. So awesome, he made us feel right at home from day 1. Will be staying here again when returning to Hobart.
T. J. M.
Just a wonderful hotel - looking to make itself magnificent....and the staff are delightful. Pushpa at breakfast was eager to please and everything was ‘too easy’ - she was very attentive. Staff are real and not remote. The assistant manager was insightful and came across from Melbourne to open the hotel. It all augurs well for the opportunity for 5-star travellers to have a choice...I’m back as soon as I can!
P. M.
From the moment we entered the doors the service was First Class. Everybody you passed was friendly and eager to help. The rooms are set out beautifully with massive bathrooms and comfortable beds. Anytime I visit Hobart this is where I will always stay!
M. n. D.
We visited Hobart from Sydney.
Great central location, easy to get to everywhere in Hobart CBD - Salamanca Markets, Constitution Dock etc.
The service was great - no issues with check in.
The room was very cosy and well equipped. This was important as Hobart can be very cold. The bathrooms also stayed quite dry and warm.
The breakfast downstairs was fantastic (recommend the granola with black sesame panna cotta).
Would 100% recommend staying here and would book Movenpick again.
The only thing to consider is that it can be hard to access pick up and drop off as the road in front is not accessible to ubers. Since Hobart has a lot of one way roads it can take some time for Uber drivers to know where to pick you up since they cant park out front.
E. E.
Nice modern rooms, central location and fantastic service from all staff. Thank you to Joshua and the team for a great stay!
D. P.
We stayed there for 5 nights with our two boys and there is a lot to like about this new hotel. The staff are eager to please and the highlights included meals at the Tesoro where the staff are friendly and accommodating. Luigi and Jason were a huge hit with our kids. Being new to the Hobart scene, the team will take a little bit of time to find its stride. Service can be a bit hit and miss when it gets busy and we had two small mishaps with a receptionist who insisted we could not get out of Hobart to travel during the Anzac Parade- he was wrong. Same person also started to check us out of the hotel when we went to pick up our valet car?
The location is an easy walk to Salamanca markets, Glasshouse and many places of attraction and I appreciated the suggestion from the hotel re the Tahune Airwalk. There’s a long trail of feedback on in-room dining which I agree with - there really needs to be more options. For this reason, we chose to organise Uber eats instead.
On the overall, a lovely stay and we would recommend to Hobart visitors.
T. P.
A great newly opened modern hotel. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend anyone planning a trip to Tasmania. The rooms were immaculate and the restaurant downstairs was superb.
J. J.
My brother and I stayed at the Movenpick over the Easter long weekend. It’s in a great location with the public bus interchange right at the door and just a 5-minute walk from Brooke Street Pier. Rooms were comfortable - the only useful addition could be a hook in the bathroom to hang towels on. What made our stay truly memorable was the outstanding service we received, especially from Aya at the front desk. Special mentions to Joshua, Aguirre, and two excellent waitresses we never managed to get the names of while we were there, particularly the one who managed to arrange an iced chocolate for me on Saturday morning! Keep up the high standards of service!
D. D.
Forget staying at the wharf area, Movenpick is one of the newest hotels to open in Hobart. I have now stayed there 5 times since it opened in January of 2021, and there is not a single thing I can fault.
Being a platinum member of Accor the hotel have always treated me like royalty, and all recognise me by name now, when I turn up.
Breakfast know my standard order, and the front desk staff know my favourite rooms. If I request anything it’s delivered, and you can tell the staff are proud of their hotel.
One of the nicest touches was having the general manager come out and introduce himself, and then helped me with my bags to the car. I was so taken aback by this I honestly can’t remember his name, cause I’ve never experienced this.
A special mention must be made to front office manager Josh, and Front Office Richard who have made me feel like I’m coming home, rather than to a hotel.
Treat yourself to a superior suite and the soaking tubs are to die for.
See you all again in 2 weeks, and can’t wait for more of this brand to open up around Australia.

Terrific place to stay. Walking distance to everything you want to do in Hobart. Staff were very helpful and rooms were spotless and comfy.

We had a lovely stay at Mövenpick Hobart. Shout out to Richard at the front desk who is super friendly, helpful and gave some good tips on things to do.
The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of Salamanca Markets, public transport, the wharf and tour departure points.
Breakfast is a treat with a wide variety of tasty options - my favourite was the Grenola with sesame Panacotta....oh and they serve breakfast till 4pm so a nice sleep-in makes for a relaxing start to the day.
The rooms are comfortable, modern and its worthwhile paying a little extra for a room with a harbour view. My only criticism of the room is the blue electronic panel at the door shines a brite blue light in the room at night, we had to cover it with a cloth; and the block out curtains don't close properly against the walls so sunlight streams in at the edges onto the pillows early in the morning. Showers are large with good water flow and some toiletries are provided.
The onsite Italian restaurant (Tesoro) has delicious food and a lovely inviting atmosphere with an interesting menu.
The hotel is brand new, modern and highly recommended.

Brand new hotel in central location. Friendly staff. Comfortable pillows. Fantastic included breakfast available all day.
I booked a 'deluxe' room. I really don't know what that gets you above the standard or superior rooms. Reception staff didn't really know either, said it's mostly the view but luck of the draw.
Room was small as hotel rooms go, felt quite stuffy as air conditioning weak. Middle floor. View was mostly of the office tower in front and multistorey car parks.

I stayed here with my wife from 24th March till 31st March 2021. The staff were so very friendly and helpful especially Carmen who went out of her way to get us an amazing room, as well as Aya who was always so very helpful. The rooms were great, clean and we had an amazing view. The restaurant food and service was also first class. So very central too. We would definitely come back again, and Carmen and Aya made it so very special

Wow what a wonderful hotel..from valet..to check in staff through to the best restaurant I have ever been to.
The staff are friendly and
welcoming..the restaurant has lovely waitresses...thank you ....Andreas...The oysters are garnished in champagne and granita...delicious...the eye fillet was perfectly cooked and the desserts were scrumptious.
I loved the glasses the wine was served in...all round a fantastic night for my self and my partner...Very comfy rooms welcoming chocolate plate.
Can't wait to return from Qld again and come back and stay..

The service provided by the staff was second to none, our room had an amazing view of Hobart, we couldn't have asked for a greater experience. Tesoro (the in house restaurant) was also exceptional.

The Movenpick Hobart is an AMAZING hotel with beautifully styled rooms, friendly staff, and a very high service standard. Would definitely stay with them again when back in Hobart!
A. M.
Brand new hotel. Rooms were spacious and well designed. Great central location. The restaurant food was delicious. Special mention to Richard at the front desk who was friendly and professional.
J. H.
Movenpick in Hobart is a much needed standard setter for a town that has for a long time had mediocre accommodation and service. The staff at Movenpick have a fine eye for assisting and making your stay feel relaxing and homely. It is the little things that count and it’s these small things that stand out as making the hotel the benchmark for accommodation in Hobart!
E. J.
A nice hotel stay, made special thanks to the great customer service. Thanks for making everything so easy.

A new build, an addition to the two existing hotels in the Accor group in Hobart. Superb, in a word. Genuinely pleasant and enthusiastic staff across the hotel made the stay a bonus. The rooms are extremely comfortable (premium beds/ bedding pillows, etc) views are arguably the best in town. GM, Jeremy is on the floor, professional and has the ability to pre empt everyone’s next step. Front of House manager Josh, similarly understands your needs and executes his duties as sharply as he executes his razor like wit. Fawning aside this new hotel has it. Every single staff member capably exceeded our expectations.
The restaurant/bar is accessible from the foyer and the street. Italian named ,Tesoro serves a relatively small menu but it Michelin class, let’s say best eye fillet, all day dining ($35 for 3 courses) think eggs Benedict with lobster for breakfast. Wow wow wow
Ok if your still here you get the picture, I know where I will be staying when next in Hobart
M. B.
Stayed for 8 nights with work and a little R n R with my partner. The hotel was immaculate and all staff were unbeleivably attentive, pleasant and went out of their way no matter the time of day or night. Please keep up the great work and I will certainly stay again on my next work or leisure vist to Tasmania
J. C.
We had a really great stay at Movenpick, it was great value, central to the pier and the markets, and the service was excellent. Great modern amenities and valet parking service. Would absolutely stay again.
M. C.

R. C.

J. M.
Great Hotel and location. Staff super friendly very helpful. Will definitely stay at Movenpick on our next visit to Hobart.
S. P.
As soon as you walk into reception, the staff are so friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were fantastic.
M. H.
I enjoyed the hotel and amenities, however the restaurant was not available to dine in whilst we were there, and only half of our room service came as described, the other half was a very sad looking plate with some chips and an awkwardly small pile of squid.
Checkout is available through the TV though which is cool

I enjoyed my few days stay, everybody were friendly,I hope to go and stay there again next year..

Sincere thanks for making our 17th anniversary so special. Our room was AMAZING, the food delicious and staff made it a joy to be there. especially Louis, Jeremy, Joseph and Joshua. Great location, easy to walk everywhere. Staff are the best and very accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable. The resturant is very good and the staff are great, can be hard to get a table sometimes but worth the wait. I will be back. Great also if you are an Accor member.

Excellent customer service!
Was my birthday and they left me a surprise of a bottle of champagne while I was going for a walk.

This was a staycation for our wedding anniversary.
Loved the 'all day breakfast' and late check out.
Fun to be in the middle of the CBD.

Had to put in a last minute booking but was not dissapointed at the quality of service provided by the staff in Movenpick hotel. The rooms were comfortable, had modern decor and clean. The receptionist who checked us in Carmen was lovely.

Redefines what a hotel experience should be in 2021. Seamless integration on smart technology, clean and slick design, staff that would be at home working for Bentley or Rolls Royce ...5 star service and attention to detail. This has set the bar for others to follow...flawless.
C. T.
We had a superb 4 day stay at this brand new hotel and truly enjoyed it. The staff was amazing, the facilities great and the Tesoro restaurant served Italian dishes which were to die for!

Architecturally, the Mövenpick has changed the Hobart skyline (for the better). Here's hoping that when it opens in January 2021, it'll be an enjoyable place to visit.

The lost star was for the missing swimming pool and little facilities available

Looking forward to the opening hope they will have good rates for locals. If it is supposed to be 5 stars what happened to building a heated pool like the Vibe Hotel???

Great location. Great Restaurant. Had a cheaper room 406 which faces South meaning we were looking at a brick wall 6ft away. That's ok, we knew that when booking.
Room standard was excellent. Fridge and coffee/tea making. Room service was excellent (they brought blanket and different pillow).
New water provided daily (shame it wasn't a water filter so we could fill our own bottles but more plastic in landfill).
TV had built in Chromecast so could watch Netflix from mobile to TV.
Only downside was we found while in the room, we could hear water flowing from higher floors ie water gushing through pipes. It didn't bother me as I use ear plugs while in hotels. It bothered my wife a little.
That was the only fault we could find.
L. k.
One of the best Motel stays we have had for a long time. It was excellence all round from the helpful staff, great sized room with comfortable huge bed to the great food. Could not fault a thing with our stay.
J. L.
Staff are amazing. Rooms are great. Food amazing.
C. B.
Amazing, clean, friendly staff.
So central to everything, couldnt find a bettter hotel
"Edit" my missus slipped on her Arse down the road, she was looked after ao well by the feont desk, they even brought our pizzas up and double checked if she was ok.
6 stars.
M. H.
Really enjoyed the stay, excellent coffee, nice views, clean rooms and smiley staff.
S. T.
Our stay initially started off on a negative as we had issues with the TV and A/C but after speaking to Josh, who initially struggled to rectify the issue, after a short time our room was changed and Josh made the effort to call us, and move our belongings while we were at MONA. The room was upgraded but it wasn’t about that, it was purely because Josh wanted to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. It’s relatively new and opened in the middle of Covid. The rooms are beautifully designed, great beds and pillows and excellent central location. Excellent service, and I would definitely go back or Movenpick in Hobart.
