Q. J.Great surprise and perfect accommodation. Very well maintained. Everything we needed in the one-bedroom apartment. Bathroom was stunning and bedding very comfortable. Staff was great as well. Covered car park was a plus. Central location. Keep up the good work!
K. G.We stayed recently in the penthouse the view .balcony and location was fantastic. But that is where it stopped . The arrangement of the room appears adhoc. There was a lack of decor and side tables no Ottomans and uncomfortable couches. Large distance of TV in bedroom from bed, no table or bench under TV a VERY SMALL closet and no full length mirror in the room. Provision of bathrobes as in other RACV accommodation, would be appreciated. We do like RACV HOBART and would go again but not to this room
A. P. H.It was a pleasant stay with a spacious room and comfy bed.
It was a bit pain to look for the car park tho, should just show the actual car park address instead of we had to call them for 10 mins to find out where is the car park.
Breakfast was good, waitress noticed I didn’t touch my tea and asked me if I’d like another one.
Building itself maintained very well, for the price we paid including breakfast was worth it.
e. c.Great location very close to Everything including the wharf, salamanca markets and a big list of restaurants and shops.Parking on sire at $15 a night. Clean rooms and pleasant staff. Bar and restaurant on site. One of the only complaints is that the entertainment system on the TV is antiquated with no netflix or similar options. They have a built in movie system that charges $10 per view of movies, some of which are 5 or 6 years old. So if you have kids bring their tablets as the weather can keep you indoors sometimes.

Extra notes: excellent hair dryer. Kitchen doesn't have a stove or oven so looks like it's more for heat in the microwave stuff. There is a kettle, toaster and fridge.
Salamanca markets and the ferry to mona are a 5 - 10 minute walk from hotel. Fico restaurant is a must if you enjoy fine dining. Its only a 2-3min walk from the hotel. Bar Wa is authentic Japanese food in a fantastic vibe restaurant, only 10min walk from hotel.
M. M.I think it's starting to show its age. Very clean but housekeeping not available every day unless requested. When clean towels, more tea bags & detergent for the dishwasher were requested we received Earl Grey instead of English Breakfast tea, no detergent & 2 towels instead of the 3 requested. It was rectified after a 2nd trip to Reception.
Parking at weekends is a huge hassle especially with a 4WD. Far too many vehicles for available spaces, valet parking available but haphazard. Cars were double parked everywhere making getting up & down ramps a bit tricky.
Very centrally located in Hobart so many eating places within a short walk.

A. F.I’m a regular RACV resort traveller in Victoria and thought I would give Hobart a go for Easter. What a pleasant surprise this little gem is!
Sometimes service can be hit at miss at RACV but we were warmly welcomed at 9:30am and after some shopping in town, a nice 2min walk from the venue, we checked in early. The rooms are large with the usual amenities but the bar and building is remarkable.
Based on the site of the old Cascade Brewery office, it has beautiful architecture and very well integrated into the new areas.
The service was too notch, from reception to the cafe staff, nothing was too much bother for them.
You can’t beat the location right in town and a short stroll to the harbour and Salamanca market area. I highly recommend it for a long weekend away or holiday.

T. D.One of the best in Hobart and Tassie as a whole. Their COVID measures were not only way above the govt regulations, but class leading in every way. The measures are actually hospital grade. The check in experience was top notch, their beds comfortable, the in room bar was in keeping with covid regulations. Even the water they gave you you in bottles were supplied with a small tube of sanitizer so you could sanitize these as well. They even had a container for sanitised pens and handle pens provided for express checkout! Well done Team.
G. P.I stayed here while on a work trip. It was fancy. Room service was great, tasty and fast. Location is excellent. Car parking was tricky to find, and cost me $15. Hardly a drama.
What I found interesting is that when you come from the car park, you have to then go down a flight of stairs to get to reception, and then back up the stairs to get to the lifts to go to the rooms.
I'll stay there again.

A. T.Pleased with my stay here. A late booking meant that my room had a distant view of Mt Wellington. And the constant sound of air cooling machinery. I was thankful that my neighbour did not indulge in the available adult movie channel because having adjoining internal doors (great for families) meant that I could hear almost everything in their room. My twin bed was not a king single like in my most recent hotel with another chain, so the comparison was noticeable. Great location. Clean. Lovely efficient reception and housekeeping staff. Mostly very stylish. Great price and free parking for auto club members. Will stay again.

S. P.Well appointed and comfortable. My husband and I lost each other in the very big, joined together, single beds that pose as a king size bed. Wonderful if you don't like each other but a little challenging for a first wedding anniversary.
Also advertised with off street parking but they required a payment for said parking that was not revealed on check in

Ours is equipped with a kitchen and basic laundromat and the bathroom has a bathtub. Kids one has shower only. Staff are professional and extremely friendly. Highly recommended

T. M.Stayed in June and was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was the best part of the stay. Parking is always easy to find. We really enjoyed our meals in here. The location of the hotel is relatively convenient. All were very clean. All the staff were very friendly and courteous at the hotel.

I liked it, but it is best as an overnight for the light traveler. I was on a month long trip and spent several days in Hobart so the small room was a negative.
v. e.Accommodation was 4 stars, lovely, but we made the mistake of eating at their Charcoal restaurant. We arrived and asked for a table which needed re set, so we stood waiting while another couple was told the same thing. They, however were asked to sit and wait for their table, and then were invited to the table before us!?! As this couple had manners and were professional (as opposed to the Charcoal employee) they told him to seat us first as we were there first. The employee STILL wanted to seat the other couple first, who then had to insist he be fair and seat us first! Great first impression of Hobart dining.. The food was very ordinary. The fish was extremely greasy, like poor take away battered fish, and the lamb was dry and poor. Overall abysmal dining experience. The twin single room was very nice and comfortable.

A.Our stay was pleasant and the room was mostly pretty clean except the dirty privacy blinds, however after booking a king room we expected a proper top mattress to disguise it being two singles together as the middle of the bed was impossible to lay on. In addition the tv remote required you to press extremely hard and you couldn’t press numbers to direct you to channels or use the program guide.
We also organised a late checkout with reception however had housekeeping knock 3 different times to try clean our room the morning of check out which was irritating as communication between the staff should be improved to avoid this. All in all location was great and staff were fairly attentive however we expected more for the price.
J. T.Great comfortable room. Just recently renovated so really new and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our air-conditioned on the last day and they moved us to the bigger room next door with no issues. Great service.
T. M.The staff were very good. We had an apartment on the 5th floor and it was exceptionally clean and the bed quality allowed for sound sleep. Breakfasts were acceptable. I highly recommend everything about this great hotel and look forward to staying there again on our next visit to Hobart.
T. M.My wife and I took a 10 day trip there recently. The rooms were a good size for a city hotel. Room was adequate but view of carpark with just a glimpse of mt wellington. The location was perfect for what we were looking for. We can't wait for our next trip out there.
j.Clean and modern, great spot in the city, free parking but there are limited spots so keep that in mind, also there are 2 electric vehicle charge points, not sure if any more are being installed.
m. s.Nice comfy place close to shops and restaurants. $15 parking was a bit steeper than others. But they let us leave our car there after checkout to visit the markets, so that was very nice of them.

M. A.The stay at racv was good.. not great, but not bad. The accomoodation was comfortable, the bed was nice and the breakfast was amazing (sophie who made the poached eggs does an amazing job and is very pleasant to deal with). Definately good customer service.
The two issues that i felt let the place down was firstly having to pay to watch a movie in your room. $10 per movie in a generation when netflix is so readily available seems a bit steep. My second issue was parking. I rang ahead to enquire about parking and was told it was complimentary for guests. When i came to check in was told it wasnt free as i wasnt an racv member (i live in nsw and am an NRMA member) but not the same and that i had to pay for parking. No big deal but the way it was conveyed by the gentleman at the front desk was rude and could have been handled better. All in all a good stay and would return.
N. S.Beautiful rooms. Amazing staff. If you can, book the apartment king room with harbour views. It has a spa on the balcony and the room is stunning. We also stayed in the one bedroom king room which was fantastic as well. Very spacious rooms. Over the moon.
C. H.Great hotel! Warm and welcoming staff, fantastic location close to Hobart sea front and Salamanca market. Beautifully done up hotel with bright spacious clean rooms, comfy beds, huge luxurious bathrooms with kitchenette amenities too! The breakfast felt a little steep at $28pp but if you go out into Hobart that's pretty much par for the course, good buffet selection here and beautiful bread! Lovely lounge area downstairs leading into the bar and conference suites. Handy on site parking and offer of valet parking when busy. We will definitely back, thanks for a lovely stay!!

A. O.Lovely hotel! Was modern and had big rooms with comfy beds :) The parking was expensive and I would say its worth going out to eat instead of paying the same price or more for hotel food.. Overall though the staff was awesome and I would 100% stay here again and will book with them in the future. We also got free wine :0 YAY!

They phoned me to advise that I had left my iPad at the hotel - I was already at the airport & caught the Skybus back (which conveniently stops directly our the front of the hotel). To save me from getting off the bus & waiting for the next one the Duty Manager was waiting for me & returned my iPad. Excellent service - I wish I'd have had time to thank the staff personally. Would highly recommend - very friendly & accommodating.
J.Hotel itself is great, location is excellent. Staff are seen to be more friendly at some of the other racv locations though they are not unfriendly at all. Definitely would stay here again if visiting Hobart in the future

The apartment rooms have kitchen and laundry appliances which makes it easy to prepare meals and do washing as you want. Good location and breakfast was included.

We were able to leave our car in Carpark all day even though we checked out at 10am. Carpark is free to RACV/RACT members. This experience certainly enhanced our Tasmania road trip
L. K.I only went to a seminar here so I don't know what the rooms are like to stay in etc , but the conference rooms were lovely , and the sitting area had a beautiful fire going with comfy seats , the staff were nice and polite and the decor was pretty especially the super cool lights 😊😊

W. N.A 4 star hotel in the Hobart CBD which is well located to most CBD amenities. Most things are within 10mins walk. For the rest you'll need a car or taxi anyway. The staff are very friendly and professional and helpful. The rooms were tidy and clean and mostly quiet.
Some gripes are that the doors to the rooms close heavily so they produce quite a bit of noise and the room (cleaning) service is only up until 12.30pm each day, so if you want to sleep in and have your room cleaned, then, well you have to choose between them.... Also, if you are an RACQ member and not RACV/RACT then you don't get the discount, which is strange really given that the clubs are supposed to reciprocate.
All in all though, it is a nice hotel and I'd stay again.
D. K.Not a bad place, expensive but the room was very big. parking was paid for and if you arrived after 6pm it would be hard to park as they oversold the parking. breakfast was good but overpriced like most hotels.
T. M.The hotel is in the middle of town, set back a few blocks from Sala***ca but definitely in easy walking distance. The car park got very full and when leaving at 6am on the Sunday morning some very creative parking achievements could be seen in the carpark and access ramps. Will be back.
N. L. S.Very good location in central Hobart. The building is a bit old but the furniture is new. Nice apartments with kitchen, living room, bed room and bath room. Bathtub and separate shower. Would definitely stay there again.
N. C.We recently stayed at this hotel (Sept 2015) for 6 nights. Overal we had an amazing experience. Our flight arrived in the evenning and by the time we arrived at the hotel it was almost 8pm. The staff at reception were very helpful and the check-in process was very smooth. We were also informed that the restuarant would still be open for a meal if we like.
The room was a lovely room with all of the modern ammenities, including nesspresso machine, mini bar, spa bath etc. We had a great view of the city centre (although not much to look at) as well as Mount Wellington around to small parts of the Harbour.
The hotel is very centrally located having only needed to use the car for day trips to Port Author and Huon Valley (a great driving trip recommended by the restuarant manager). The restruant served breakfast daily which was either a well stocked buffet or made to order food (when the hotel wasnt fully booked). All of the staff, from reception to the food and beverage and cleaners were all very professional and friendly offering advice, and a friendly chat about things to do.
The only negative thing that comes to mind, (which is very insignificant) is the street access to the carpark is a little bit dificult at first as it down a lane way off a side street, perhaps this could be provided to guests prior to their arrival, however as I said I believe this is a very insignificant aspect of our stay.
Check-out was quick and very smooth, all up it was a wonderful hotel to stay at and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Hobart.

S. Y.Decent hotel in a central locatikn. Rooms were average but clean. Wifi was average, and there was a whole lot of renovations going on. Parking lot was full most days. Proximity and affordability are reasons I might come back again. Make sure you get the RACV membership to get even better prices.

N. I.Flew in late of an evening to find that i had to walk up some stairs and through a very bizzare checkin area, which is not the norm for most hotels. Found the lift and walked to the front door of what was supposed to be a shared room, i.e. 2 rooms and a small guest area. Turns out i was walking directly into a bedroom. Was very disappointed. However once i got past the sleeping guests i discovered a lounge area complete with kitchen equipped with washing machine,dryer and dish washer. No Balcony, just 2 bug windows looking towards the Cat and the Fiddle arcade. Our room had no air conditioning, so had to turn on the one in the lounge. So far it has exceeded my expectations.

The hotel is in the centre of Hobart's CBD and is excellent value for money, it is clean, perfectly located and very well appointed with modern comfortable surroundings. The staff are all very friendly and in our experience are more than willing to go out of their way to help make your stay a memorable occasion. Parking is available on-site and is secure. You are able to get meals on the premises and because of its central location you are never far from the shops and restaurants in the city. This will be our go to place every time we travel to Hobart from now on.
N.Its impossible to walk down Collins St in Hobart and not be drawn in by the old Cascade building, which is now part of the RACV building. I dropped in for a beer and spent half the afternoon just enjoying the ambiance of the place and the history, which they have done a great job of displaying, without being over the top.

We "did" a ball joint making the van unable to roll (the passenger side of the body was resting on the front wheel ), Dale managed to get it onto the tilt tray using jacks, deft positioning and maneuvering without any further damage to the van.
