Beautiful spot for food, definitely recommend booking as we ended up sat outside. Beautiful view but a bit windy, fine on a summer's day but probably a bit chilly in winter! Food was tasty and came quickly despite the high volumes of orders they were likely having.
Great spot for a little walk along the river after food, would visit again next time we're in the area.

We stayed at Rosevears for 2 nights & found everything exceptional. Check in was great & staff most helpful & friendly, our rooms were spotlessly clean, with great amenities & an amazing view. We had takeaway meals from the pub each night which were all great but definitely the parmigiana was our favourite!! Looking forward to staying here again

I think it is the best hotel during our Tasmania trip. The room was quite nice and new. The view is beautiful from our balcony. The bed is super comfy. We regret that we only booked for one night. Would definitely come back if we visit Tasmania again!

We stayed 2 nights. Every room has a good view over the river and beyond. The rooms are comfortable and have what is required for an enjoyable stay. Sitting on the balcony with some snacks and a red wine. That's living. The restaurant is a very busy place with bookings almost certainly required. A high level of cuisine for a hotel and all the locals know it. You can have a drink at the bar, or a table outside, before heading to the dining room for a delicious meal. The dining room looks out over the river. A good list of wines on offer to accompany your meal. Good value.

Accommodation is very lovely, clean and comfortable. Restaurant had a good selection of choices and the bakery next door is yum. Ashley is gorgeous lovely young lady and makes a great coffee. Jaycee, Ruby, Taylor and Christopher were all lovely very helpful and profession, definitely an asset to the organisation. Keep up the great work and making our stay so lovely.

It was generally a good stay. Nothing I can fault in the room. Everything is well-maintained and tidy. Not the most spacious but with the lovely balcony and view, it was easily acceptable. The only room for possible improvement is that probably the hotel can place a board next to the spa area so that guests can have more privacy? The other thing is that when I first went to inquire at the reception, I waited there for 10 minutes and no one attended even I rang the bell. I wasn't the only one waiting. It was sorted only after I called the reception by phone.
It wasn't perfect, but I love my stay so much that I only want the hotel to improve. Can't wait to come back!

Went to try bakery Danish was nice I actually thought it was looking over river.. but it's looking through carport to river hmm so just another shop it would have been awesome if at front of hotel. All those ugly accommodation rooms behind certainly help it loose what fabulous opportunities could have been up for the taking.

Stayed in one of the rooms with an outdoor spa, just loved, loved the spa. The bed was super soft and sitting on the balcony watching the river was super relaxing. The meals in the restaurant are outstanding, the staff are friendly and know their products well. A great place with a great atmosphere we will certainly be going back.

This venue has sweeping views over the Tamar River and is only 20 kms from Launceston, directly below Tamar Ridge.
The food is is well above your normal hotel level. Great range of options on the menu, well prepared with generous serves. The service is attentive, warm and friendly. Good range of local and interstate wines and beers. Whisky and Gin flights tasting paddles are also a delightful option showcasing the best of the local producers. Bookings essential for lunch and dinner to avoid disappointment. Very popular with the locals.

We love staying there. Fantastic room ( with Spa ) amazing restaurant. Food was delicious. And the lady at reception, I think her name was Pru ( please forgive me if I’m wrong ) was extremely helpful, welcoming, happy and altogether lovely. Thankyou xx
M. C.
Stopped at the bakery. Coffee good, good range if baked goods But why do we have to have coffee in a takeaway cup ( albeit made with vegetable starch) with a lid which I took home for recycling? What's happened to cups and mugs and washing them?
d. c.
Delicious food!!
We both are the 250g Conmurra farm eye fillet – pepper crusted, potato mash, field mushrooms, wilted spinach, paris butter , red wine jus and will definitely be going back to have it again!! Cooked to perfection as requested med_ rare.
Staff were young, very friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend a visit even if it's just a drink with amazing views.
D. M.
We enjoyed a drink on the outside verandah, then ordered the salmon & ribs, both delicious, friendly service.
A. T.
Staff were friendly, helpful and kind. Accidentally booked the wrong date on a booking website and they were very sympathetic and happy to help fix my mistake.
Room was modern, clean, and had good amenities.
Beautiful views of the Tamar River and close to Legana.
L. C.
Beautiful food, large meals, friendly staff! So full, wish I could make it to the delicious sounding deserts! But too full!

A beautiful hotel with phenomenal views over the river, the sunrise and sunset views were our highlight. The room was clean and well-designed.
We stayed in the spa suite, but the spa was quite dirty, which was a let-down.
Further, we were very disappointed with the level of service here. The reception staff were curt and not at all hospitable. The room is equipped with a toaster, and when we called reception asking for some butter, we were simply told "no". However, the hotel is attached to a restaurant and next to a bakery who stocks single use butter. We believe reception could have made an effort to arrange this for us. Similarly, when we asked for some extra tea, reception staff sharply told us no, which is definitely not the norm in hospitality. We were rudely awaken by loud, incessant housekeeping knocks in the morning. Considering the price of the accommodation, we found this treatment to be quite shocking.
All in all, we have mixed feelings. We enjoyed the location and convenience, views were brilliant, the room was nice, but we were really let down by the cold attitude of the staff.

A great place. Great view, wonderful service and fantastic food. A great place to meet friends.
F. R.
The staff were fantastic, meals were delicious and all served quickly even though they had a few large groups in.
We are staying at the hotel, and we’re running late yet they still put us in for dinner and made us a huge jug of gin and tonic which was an awesome addition to dinner.
Prices were very reasonable for the meals and my hubby said it was one of the best parmi he has had.
P. M. (.
Great, friendly, caring and helpful staff. New chef and menu are great. Bread and Butter pudding with Whiskey sauce is just amazing. My new favourite.
Keep up the good work!!
H.
Amazing service. They made small errors with our order (because of new staff) but corrected them without hesitation and they were genuine and friendly and were all round amazing, and who can fault a newbie for making a few mistakes. A few tiny mistakes doesn’t equate a bad business, the way they fix them does. Food and service really was GREAT! Highly recommend
D. P.
What a location to enjoy a Tasmanian wine. I hear the food is great. Will be back to try some.
P. S.
Superb pub meal overlooking the Tamar. A truly beautiful place to have lunch.
K. S.
Our go to place to stay when over from Melbourne to see family. Have stayed here a couple of times and always love it. Rooms are always clean and maintained well. The bistro is amazing, highly recommend the catch of the day battered fish! Beautiful place with beautiful views will continue to come back for sure!

Took the Fam for a nice lunch a had the Chicken Cesar Salad and it was great been to LMG since I have had one.
V. G.
Our room was on the upper section of the hotel which had a spectacular view of Tamar river. Room was fresh and very clean with beautiful hot shower. Seats outside on the balcony that looked out on to the river was great if the weather wasn't so cold. It would had been ideal if there was a more comfortable seating inside the room apart from the straight back chairs. The hotel had a wonderful bakery on the compound the sell the cheapest sourdough bread for$4 for a small loaf. Restaurant served a standard pub foods that were a bit overpriced otherwise everything were great.
G. M.
Stopped in for lunch and what a nice surprise. Place was very busy and staff stretched. We ordered steak sandwich and vege burger with chips. Food came really quickly and were surprised as expected service to be slow because it was busy! Lunch was good and service friendly and efficient. It made a good day into a great day!! Highly recommend.
L. L.
Fantastic setting and very well run venue to sit back in the sun and listen to a quality band play
G. C.
Great place to have lunch, meals are big and good quality. The conservatory at the front of the building is great for warming up in the sun and even gets a bit to warm. Rather that than the opposite. Great place to meet up with friends and enjoy a meal, will be back.
B. M.
Fabulous..super friendly staff. My server bright bubbly and plenty of ink. She was fabulous. Feed was grand. Lamb Rump cooked to perfection and a fresh large Greek salad with a funky sauce. Yup. Go again.
A. J.
Really nice. Good food, nice people and lovely views.
L. D.
Nice and clean room even though it was on the smaller side, a minor complaint was the lighting in the bathroom it was very hard to apply make up or for my husband to have a shave. Good food, friendly staff and the bakery was a huge bonus. We will be back but will bring a LED mirror next time ☺️
d. k.
This place is just delightful. The best parmi I've had in ages and only $18 with a pot of St George. The pie from the bakery wasn't a highlight but watching a seal bob for fish while I ate my pie was.
R. T.
Stayed for 2 nights, enjoyed the meals there, very nice food. Spa had a weird spell to it, and the rooms could to with a small 2 seater couch so you can relax more.
Beautiful views, friendly staff, clean rooms.
R. L.
Just enjoyed a fabulous vanilla slice and good coffee at the newly opened bakery at Rosevears Hotel. What a great addition to the Tamar area, great value bakery and friendly staff in a perfect location. John thinks the double brie chicken pie is to die for. So luscious, he may well be right! I'm taking home a loaf of rye and sourdough. So happy with our new discovery.
T. C.
Great location, friendly staff. Will be back via the boat ramp next time
A. W.
Battered Fish/Salad and Salt 'n Pepper Calamari/Salad for Saturday lunch, was absolutely perfect and waitress was excellent. Could not pick one thing that could be done better. We'll be back very soon 👍👍👍
L. H.
Amazing views! The food and service were excellent. A must for lunch if you are near or it's well worth the drive if you want somewhere to go. Will definitely be going back. 😊 (Kids menu was good too)
G. S.
Nice place with a great outlook, however the pizzas we had were very ordinary. Overpriced with little flavor and way too much cheese. Very pleasant staff.
B. H.
Great location and service. Reasonable prices. Let down slightly by the food.
K. R.
Great view and food, staff are lovely. What more could you ask for
C. D.
Best cheeseburger ever (even though it's on the kids menu!)
B. B.
We had a great time with friends and loved the meal and staff
G. D.
Had a Cappuccino and my friends had same plus some "sweets" from the good variety of choice available including pastries. Overall a nice setting and friendly staff. Enjoyed our Tyme there. Greg.
j. C.
This iconic hotel situated with its beautiful views over the Tamar river was our chosen setting with friends and family. We were very well looked after; the meal for 30 people was served quickly by the staff who were friendly, courteous, and helpful.
The best entree squid I have tasted in Tasmania, steaks and Palmy chicken cooked spot on. Plated, perfectly, separated with there own taste were several vegetables cooked beautifully. (I am fussy, and do not like a plate of veg.s just mushed together. Taste and presentation
of this luncheon was the best I have been served in years.
Thank you to the chef and all staff you made my 70th birthday a very memorable one. Colin and Jeanette.
N. F.
Great food a bit slow on service
Expensive also very noisy
K. S.
Nice place to stay, very clean accommodation, nice views 😁
J. G.
Wonderful establishment
Good food
Cold beer
Great staff
Exceptional location...
Love it
A. B.
Great meal with excellent service.
Craft beer even better. Go with Fog on the Tamar
Brewed just down the Rd at Beaconsfield..
J. B.
Tried the new bakery. Coffee is good, we enjoyed our meat pies and a small cake each. It's worth the drive.
C. E.
It was great because the view and hot tub made it for us so relaxing
However Chris the supervisor was seriously in need of hospitality lessons,
Brooke on the other hand was over and above in correct hospitality a pleasant kind and professional woman.
P. L.
Had a lovely lunch there, food and service were excellent, would highly recommend this place, so peaceful sitting with view of the river and no rush to get to you out
E. M.
Perfect location by the river. Scenic views that go on forever. Food was delicious and service was great. Highly recommend you try it.
A. F.
Gorgeous view. Great meal and my fav dessert even tho not on the menu. Thanks for accommodating us.
K. G.
Sensational lunch venue. Food and staff were excellent. Had the scallops and mushrooms for entree, then steak and lamb for mains.....cooked perfectly!
H.
We just loved our stay in the luxe accomodation at Roseavers Hotel after a lot of driving through The Tarkine. The brand new chalet style on the hillside are so cleverly designed with every single one having a great view of The serene Tamar River directly in front. The seperate old pub itself (1831) now renovated is thriving so you get the best of old and new. Our 'chalet' style room was superb with a spa that also had views. Great restaurant + bakery and fab service from everyone with special thanks to Prue who we booked with and Lily our waitress. Highly recommended.
G. C.
Staff saved the ducks.
Great meal as usual
V. S.
Lovely setting and nice ambience. Staff friendly and helpful. Food a little bit underwhelming for the prices they charged. I don't know whether it was because it was a busy night or not (I was at a large group table) but looking around the table I didn't see any anyone 'wowed' by their meals although they were certainly edible. Perhaps the meals would have a little more 'Love' applied to the plates if it had been a quieter evening.
j. S.
Lovely spot near the window, however sun was in ours faces, would be nice to have a blind to pull down if needed. Meals took a while to come out but they were delicious. I had twice cooked pork belly. Cooked beautifully. I did indulge in dessert and for the money it was worth it, good size and also delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing and acoustics great, didn't have to raise voice to be heard. Service was great, attentive staff. Only suggestion would be perhaps get meals out a bit quicker as everyone's seemed to come out at once and others had been there longer than us. Also perhaps wipe the dead ants off the window sills. 👍good job guys. We will be back.
C. R.
Staff are friendly and ready to assist. The dining area is open plan, bright and airy, each customer is given icy cold water before the meal. We had beer batter fish, chips and salad, the fish was fresh and moist, the chips were cooked fresh, the salad was crisp with a tasty dressing. Overall I would recommend Rosevears Hotel for lunch or dinner, the food of delicious, fresh and reasonably priced..
R. C.
Lovely fish and chips. Fantastic location
C. D.
Great views, food and staff.
D. T.
Great location looking out over the Tamar. Generous serves of good pub food and a Log fire for warmth.
G. I.
We stopped here for our evening meal.
I had the salad and my sister had the steak. The salad was very bland with not so fresh ingredients. The steak was supposed to be well done but it was burnt. The meat contained quite a bit of gristle and the sauce was very oily. Although it was meant to be table service, the serving staff forgot about us so my sister had to order her dessert at the bar. The staff were friendly enough though.
On the plus side, the location is stunning with direct views of the river Tamar.
The bar was quite lively as it was bingo night for the locals. They were having a blast.
R. W.
Cheerful and helpful staff providing great service and excellent meals. Enjoyed the views and time spent here.
M. F.
A slice of heaven only a short drive from Launceston. We stayed two nights. The accommodation was well fitted out. Comfortable and had a spectacular view of sunrise over the river. The staff were fantastic, knowledgeable about the local area and have created a wonderful establishment. Andy and the team were world class in customer service and always helpful. The food in the hotel was also wonderful and we enjoyed top notch food at excellent value. We will be back next time we are in the Tamar Valley.
S. L.
Every time we have fined at Rosevears hotel restaurant it has been perfect. The staff are very polite, the food is 100 percent great. For what you get it is very reasonably priced. The view is amazing, especially during the spring and summer. Highly recommend.
N. P.
Amazing Rooms! Better than expected. The hot bath was the best highlight of this place.
The staff is really friendly. Food was not that great. We ordered a pizza which was not worth the prize. Better to get something to eat from out as there are not many places close by for dinner.
E. W.
My partner and I stayed a few nights and ate at the restaurant twice. The view from both the room and restaurant were great and very much appreciated.
Our room was clean and facilities good for us. All staff were polite and the food was pretty good (not perfect, but we left content).
J. T.
Good location, comfortable and tidy room.
V. H.
Haven't stayed however had dinner here and we were very impressed. Excellent menu, everything was executed perfectly. Meals are decently sized thus order accordingly. Enjoy!
A. S. T.
Location was lovely. The food was good the beer batter chips were outstanding.
Didn't have cider on tap any more .
Overall very good meal although service Rather slow
B. M.
Had a restful, relaxed 3 night getaway at Rosevears. Wonderful staff, fabulous food, clean modern accommodation all surrounded by beautiful scenery! Great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle and explore the beautiful West Tamar.
M. A.
Clean modern rooms. Great outlook over the Tamar River. Top little restaurant. Friendly staff and good service. Had excellent eggs Benedict for breakfast! Could have had more coffee pods in the room.
A. H.
Above and beyond service, clean and modern rooms and an amazing view. Well worth the visit whilst in the Tamar Valley!
H. J.
Fantastic location on the Tamar River (well, it's a road width away). Food was really good and the service was excellent. Good atmosphere, clean and very well presented. We only used the pub side of the business but there is extensive accommodation in brand new units at the rear. We'll definitely return here again.
k. c.
The restaurant location is magnificent, right on the banks of the Tamar with beautiful views across to Windermere. Staff were really friendly & efficient but the best was the food which was spectacular. Local produce prepared with passion & served creatively was an unexpected delight. Great value for money too. A "must try" if you're in the area.
M. M.
I posted a review 11 months ago saying how disappointed I was with the restaurant. Yesterday, however, after hearing from a friend that the venue was under new management, I was persuaded to return and sample another meal.
As a result, I have taken down my previous 1 star review and replaced it with this.
The service and food was excellent. The venue and view is delightful. The chairs could have been a little more comfortable.
R. A.
The bakery is fantastic! Restored my faith in Vanilla Slice. Try it and you won't regret it.
S. U.
We went for a romantic meal for two. We were put in the overflow room by happenstance. We had a nice outlook in a cosy corner. The entrees, mains and desserts were all of good size and quality. Overall a pleasant experience.
R. B.
Absolutely amazing meal and staff were so friendly and atmosphere just as gr8..Highly recommend a visit there and we wil b certainly go back
C. L.
We shared a dozen oysters, they tasted as fresh as if they were still in the sea. Will definitely be back!
K. L.
the best place along the Tamar for a leisurely lunch
C. L.
Very nice space with beautiful views of the Tamar River and friendly service. It was quite busy as it was Xmas Eve.
All our table of 5 people enjoyed their meals however I'm vegan. I was prepared to eat a vegetarian meal for one night but there was nothing vegetarian on the menu, let alone vegan, except for pizza.
The pizza was fine but not what I wanted. Vegetarians and vegans are a growing group of diners and restaurants which don't cater for them with interesting food are short sighted.
J. J.
Great Hotel overlooking the lovely Tamar River. Service was excellent, and the food was fantastic.
We had the Seafood Pizza which you must try.
Also had Scallops with Bocconcini , Cherry Tomato, and Basil Salad which was fresh, and filling. Yum.
Washed down with local beer!
Apparently they have accommodation in the form of cabins up the hill a little all with water views.
k. s.
Location and atmosphere great, meals okay but didn't receive what was advertised on their menus. Understand things change but no comment was made. Our children therefore didn't like there meals. Our meals were great, well cooked and presented. As we received table service we sat around after finishing our meal for some time waiting for the waitress to return as we would have liked desert however by the time she did go past we were quite ready to go. Then to be told see the bar man and he will sort the bill. A little odd but ok. Great parking and view or Tamar River. Meal pricing expensive compared to every other food venue in the area but none have the view and I guess that's the price to pay. We would definately return for coffee or a beer as the roaring fire looking out on to the River was great.
N. S.
100% stay here!
Hotel; Comfy beds, clean and modern room, wonderful shower, fantastic views, on-site parking and the best location on the Tamar River - within 30 minutes of Launceston and some great tourist attractions!
Service; Friendly staff, Melita went above and beyond when our flight was delayed and helped arrange transit from Launceston. Even offered to drive us to a hire car herself!
I really enjoyed my stay here, highly recommend.
B. F.
We absolute loved it. The acomodation and the surroundings were just beautiful. The staff were friendly and professional. The food exceptional. i would recommend Roseveres hotel highly. It was a high light of our week in Tasmania
G. P.
Such a amazing views and room for this price. The room is big enough, clean, and very well maintained. The bed was so much comfortable. There is a little balcony that you can just walk out and enjoy a great scene of Tamar river. Plenty of car park. Lovely staff, such a wonderful experience. I will definitely stay here again if I go back to Launceston. Not very far from CBD by the way.
D. S.
A lovely hotel on a beautiful location on the Tamar. Comfortable and we'll appointed. The only complaint is that breakfast is a bit late at 09:00. However you can get a continental breakfast if you have to leave early.
K. 2.
Great views, the accommodation was very nice.
The food was fantastic, every meal being breakfast lunch or dinner were just amazing, the staff are so nice and helpful. Would love to go back.
S. A.
The food here was stunning. Three sea food dishes and all prepared fresh and hot to the table. Better than some far more expencive places in launceston. The river views are to die for. You sit only meters from the river. Huge range of Tasmanian wine. Wheel chair friendly. Rooms available overlooking the Tamar River. We gave it five stars!
M. Q.
A Pleasant Surprise:
More than just a "pub meal". Our party ordered various dishes which were all beautifully prepared and presented. Quite outstanding. The Hotel also has a lovely view , which is a bonus.
C. H.
Amazing service, the food is spectacular.
The 2 girls that were there are so warm and friendly.
Highly recommend coming here for a stay or just for lunch and dinner.
A. G.
The venue space was modern and inviting. There were only three tap beers available, however, the wine and spirits list was adequate. I particularly enjoyed the McHenrys Puer Vodka, however there was no fresh lime available and had to settle for fresh lemon. For main I ordered the beetroot tortellini. Disappointingly for $28 I received 5 pieces, equating to almost $6 a piece. The hand made pasta was dense and the dish lacked seasoning. The balance of the goats curd as well as both the texture and flavour of the hazelnuts was appealing. Upon inquiry regarding the portion size, the waitress kindly provided a complimentary side of chips and aioli. Overall, a good experience but over-priced for the amount and quality of food.
J.
Great accommodation and food was delicious
Lost a point for meeting room upstairs, lots of room for improvement
C. G.
Came here for lunch with a colleague from Melbourne, on a beautiful sunny day for lunch. We were pleasantly treated by a gorgeous view over the pristine, still, waters of the Tamar River. There was fog hovering the water, and the sun was shining warmly through the windows of the restaurant. Our waitress was exceptional and ensured we had a pleasant time, and the food was delicious. Having grown up in Launceston all my life, I had heard of Rosevears many times, but had never ventured to dine - but I am SO glad I did today! My friend was very impressed. Thanks team for a great lunch, keep up the wonderful work.
C. C.
Good 👍 service, friendly atmosphere
S. D.
Wonderful accommodation. Brand new, cleverly appointed apartments making the most of the stunning view across the river. Such welcoming and caring hosts who take such pride in their new business and providing great quality of service. This place will deservedly flourish because of it.
E. C.
Lovely meal, good sized portions and ok pricing. View to the Tamar was stunning and they now have beautiful looking accommodation. Great place to stay or just come for a meal. We will be back!
S. J.
Beautiful place. Light, modern and very comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.
A. T.
A superb place to visit, beautiful river views, quiet location and very splendid food and wine selections. The staff seem to be fairly attentive and polite. Just a nice relaxing place to enjoy a sunny afternoon with a cool beverage in hand 🙂
S. F.
Beautiful food. Generous portions. We’ll be back. Vege pizza was amazing. Thankyou
M. R.
Stayed here a couple of times. Rooms have fantastic views and are very modern and clean. Food is really good (Try the pancakes for breakfast). Also book a room with a spa and request for rooms 10 or 12 as they have better views. Would highly recommend this place for a short stay.
G. K.
The food was very nice. Although I told them I had coeliac disease at the start of the meal I was served a dessert that had a component that would have made me very ill I told them please check if this is gf. The dessert was taking away when I finally got a Replacement if was dropped in front of me will no explanation and the waitress never spoke and just walked off. So service not so good.
N. B.
Lunch was great, magnificent view, our waiter was superb.
r. s. m.
Excellent steak sandwich and calamari.
Views really good and all staff brilliant
s. s.
Great hotel go and check it out
D. S.
Overall we had a good couple of meals, but there were a few quibbles. My wife was served barely-cooked potatoes and my beef short rib was tasty but still quite firm. I couldn't help thinking that the side of aioli and chips should have been more gourmet to match the rest of the food. It lowered the tone of the whole meal. Management reduced our bill to compensate for the undercooked potatoes, which was a good response.
M. W.
Very friendly staff and good wine and food
B.
Stopped in here for lunch with my partner. All i can say is very dissapointing!!! We ordered the special which was surf and turf $35. The steak was that tough it was inedible, the salad was horrible and dry. I won't waste my money here again. To have a restaurant in such a beautiful setting, to be served with such horrible food is just so dissapointing. Never again I'm sorry.
N. M.
Excellent food, love the meat free options too
J. S.
Great food and awesome views
A.
Lovely spot beside the Tamar River, looking across to St Matthias Church; we were lucky and had a seal frolicking in the river in front of us. Pub had lovely staff and cold beer; combined with the view, what more does anyone need 😌
E.
This place is amazing. Tucked away upon a hill and overlooking the beautiful Tamar river is the Rosevears Hotel. The hotel is tastefully set high of the road taking advantage of the view while the restaurant is only separated from the Tamar by the road and has plenty of parking on the property. Andy, the owner/operator/chef is an Art lover and makes part of his restaurant available as an Art Gallery.
I had the Lamb rack with baked potato and vegetables. For desert my favourite Vanilla Penna Cotta. I will definitely come back for more.
T. R.
Excellent service and amazing food. Scallops and squid come out quick and are delicious. Steak sandwich is to die for. Great selection of local wine and beer.
N. K.
Fabulous lunch! All three of us were completely satisfied with our choices on the day. The view is beautiful too..which is a bonus. Will be back soon. Staff were also lovely.
D. H.
Food was OK, fish, chips & salad, unfortunately salad was bland & uninspiring. Drink arrived with very obvious eyelash floating on my slice of lime, drink was replaced but shouldn't have happened. Didn't expect to pay for that drink but was charged. Two fish & chips, one white house wine & a half vodka, lime & soda -$70.00. Saturday afternoon at 1pm & had the dining room all to ourselves!
D. M.
Great view of the Tamar River. Some outside seating too. Young and friendly staff who were a bit too keen to call everyone "Sir" or "Ma'am"; that didn't seem natural.
f. r.
Excellent place to stay. Staff are extremely helpful, courteous and amenable. The accommodation facilities are first-rate, the views are unsurpassed, and the food in the restaurant is outstanding. We highly recommend this venue.
L. N.
Beautiful clean room. Bed warm and comfortable. Bathroom a little small and towells unable to dry out between shower. Great to have a hair straightener as well as a good hair dryer. A laundry on site would be great as we were 4 nights in Hobart and are staying 4 nights here. So far we have eaten three nights in restaurant. Food has been fresh and substantial portions. Only complaint even though we had booked, 2nd night we had to go and get our own drinks at bar, find our own menus. 3rd night staff did not check if we required further drinks until we were at the end of our meal. Andy great and blonde girl wait staff lovely...sorry dont know your name.
K. B.
Very nicely laid out with old world charm & modern all at the same venue. With a small art gallery out the back. Great views of the tamar. The barman was very helpful & obliging so I've past this venue a handful of times but never been in. Well worthy of a visit
K. H.
Really helpful staff, made our weekend conference very easy to run. Lovely food & very comfortable rooms, very peaceful location. May well become a repeat venue for workshops
M. W.
Would have to be one of the best meals I've had in a long time with the bonus of excellent staff
C. C.
Great local pub. Good food & atmosphere. Staff very friendly.
r. r.
One of the best places to have a great meal and beautiful views 5 stars .staff were some of the best in the business.
L. O.
What a gem. Great service, beautiful food, great wine, venue that could do weddings or functions.
West Tamar Gem. Great job guys👏👏👏👏
D. M.
Good location, food was of high quality, Only the wine selection and price stopped from giving 5 stars.
L. D.

Not sure if this is the same place where we had lunch. If it is, it was a nice surprise to have a good steak, well presented and very nice dessert. Didn't stay there though.

G. C.
Lovely spot worth a visit👍
S. G.
Great spot, great service, fast.
Food just ok , pizza dough a bit raw still, pulled pork sliders, the pork was as if cut from a joint and fatty.
Will give it another go though.
R. M.
Skid mark in the toilet, and spa only goes up to 40c
Not good in a tassie winter.
But other than a couple of minor minor things absolutely fantastic. Loved it and just what we needed.
J. D.
Location excellent, parking excellent, new addition very noisy and not good for talking, only drinking and clubbing, food very ordinary and definitely overpriced. Go regularly as it is local, so this opinion is formed over a long period of time.
w. b.
Chocolate pudding and sticky date pudding. Couldn't ask for anything more delicious 👌

Attending a conference dinner, I was pleasantly surprised by the dichotomy of the traditional pub section and the newer fancier dining area. Adorned with a plethora of artworks to entertain the eye, the food to entertain the mouth and good conversation to entertain the ears.
M. F.
Great service and staff are so nice. Perfect to watch the Tamar River changing while enjoying the hospitality.
