We chose the wrong night to book a table for two. We were sat right near the door so it was very cold and there was a loud DJ playing already at 6.45pm? Didn't really get why he was on so early. Food was good. Perhaps during the week would be better for dining.

Wonderful and cosy interior and good local atmosphere. Can't speak for the hotel aspects of this place as I didn't stay there, but the bar was lovely. Very friendly and helpful staff who joked with us and gave us help and advice on our trip to Hobart. Free pool too! Just wish the drink prices were a little bit cheaper, and the interior was a bit bigger. Other than that it's lovely.

SUPER friendly staff and comfortable accommodation. We stayed in the ensuited room, it had a lot of character. The hotel is close to the cbd and has a lot of amenities nearby, which is very convenient. 100% worth the price! Ps. The restaurant has really good food, the parmigiana is delicious!!!

Cute Inn and the staff is nice. Rooms are very small and don't have small bar fridges in the room or kettle which was a bummer not to know. The food is great at the restaurant very large portions and the chicken Parm was delicious. They do live music which is fun and has a bar with the restaurant which is convenient. Location isn't great but it is by a grocery store and some good restaurants.

Very cute! Good accommodation. Shared bathroom and toilet. Lovely patio. Very well located between downtown and north Hobart. Small complementary breakfast, only complaint is that there is no daily room cleaning and you hardly see staff (i think they all also work in the restaurant at night) so it’s hard to ask for clean towels and toiletries.

We spent 2 nights here and absolutely loved it! The room was true to the heritage of this lovely old pub and beautifully restored. We dined downstairs and enjoyed a wonderful night with friends in the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the animated bar. Our meals were absolutely delicious, every one of us gave pour meals 10/10. The publican Warwick was friendly, easy going and nothing was too much trouble, Annie looked after us beautifully also. The location of the beautiful pub is central to everything in Hobart, we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

A typical suburban pub. Good choice of beers available and the meal of porterhouse steak that I had was first-rate and cooked just as asked. The service was excellent and the atmosphere on the night was boisterous but pleasant.

WOW! Stumbled across this hidden gem and decided to stop in for a meal and I can honestly say that I would highly recommend it. It is aesthetically pleasing and has a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly and the meals are A+Amazing (well priced, large servings). It also has music, a pool table and a spectacular beer garden...really, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Thank you Tasmanian Inn and well done.

My husband and I booked two nights quite last minute, and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was cute with a huge balcony overlooking wonderful views of mount Wellington. The bathrooms were clean and comfy, felt like we were staying in a huge house. The complimentary brekkie was a huge plus! The only thing that was a bit of a con was the bed. We were scared we were going to break it as it was so wobbly and unstable. Otherwise, awesome value for what we got. ☺️

Great staff, great room (for the price - it was a little cosy but comfy, warm and clean), awesome steak night! One advantage of shared bathrooms is they can really splash out on a nice shower & heated towel rail.

A really pleasant surprise. The room was was period decor, but a bit Spartan (ie. No AC, no TV as advertised). Close to CBD but not too close, friendly staff. Some street noise, but you're on a main street so you get that. Really great value and would stay here again.

Me and my partner stayed here for just under a week on a Valentines vacation. The room was so homely and comfortable, it had wonderful large windows to see onto the street and the location is so close to everything in the city so it's only a 15 minute walk anywhere! We had a lovely stay here, would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a cosy warm stay in Hobart, they have free Breakfast as well so that's also a plus.

I just love our room, it's cosy and in between tradition and modernity! Regarding the bathroom is just so luxurious and big, just loved it. But the real plus, having a direct access to the terrace, I do recommend this hotel! And if you want to buy some groceries, Woolies is 2 mins walk, perfect :)

This Pub is conveniently located for me, but I'd still go out of my way to have a meal and a beer here regardless! The Rissoles and Gravy are my favourite, closely followed by the Mexican Parmi (Jalapenos galore!) Happy hour drink pricing is smashing, with Cascade Draught on tap for under $6 a pint and still well priced outside of happy hour. The staff are always friendly and happy to have a chat too. I highly recommend The Tasmania Inn for food and drink alike.

It's well known that us Hobartions are sticklers for cosy venues with good soul replenishing food and even more so suckers for finding these types of gems snuggly and smugly planted away from the usual hustle of our "go to" spots... The Tasmanian Inn is 100% all about this. Nestled between the core of the city and the heart of North Hobart, The Tasmanian Inn (Tas Inn for us here locals) is an easy way to get some good grub, good local grog and take a breather with the gang. There are plenty of spots to nuzzle into a good ole D&M such as inside, outside or upstairs on the balcony. Each one has its own charm (upstairs has some wicked views, I'd recommend a bottle of wine with some mates. Super chilled) Filled with a chilled out vibe, the bar staff are extremely approachable and knowledgeable. I had a quick glance at the menu and before I could get two lines down.. I heard the sweetest lines a fella could hear "It's steak night, grab a porter steak with a seasonal salad and some super crispy chips for $18". Mate, I was sold and let me tell you, it was effin delicious! It was cooked perfectly. Live music is a thing. All you need to do is call up the bar staff to find out when and hey, if you fancy yourself a master of pool... why not hit up the pool table? As Arnie would say and ESPECIALLY if he dined in this place....... "I'll be back!"

Lovely small pub. They had no bookings when we enquired but lovely young man managed to squeeze us in before the people booked for a table were arriving, we had 90 mins which was plenty of time for us to enjoy a delicious meal. It was really good of him.
