S. W.We had the Comfort Room which is very small. I guess can't complain about it because it's a Budget room.
The bed is not too comfortable. If you're a couple, consider to upgrade to a Queen Room.
The room is clean and has a microwave and a kettle.
5 mins drive to CBD.
Parking area is difficult to get into.
Will I recommend it to my friends? No.
L. S.Booked last2 minutes got a very good price. easy check-in. Parking was available right next to the room (not the heritage house). The room although it's small but it's packed with amenities and very clean. Many power points, TV, fan, new aircond, warm electric blanket, microwave, plates and bowls, clotheslines, environmentally friendly soap dispenser (with soap, shampoo, hand soap, shaver, lotion! but the conditioner container was empty). Sharing kitchen upstairs. For that price point, this is the best hotel so far.
O. M.Very clean and tidy and affordable accommodation close to Hobart CBD. Staff are friendly and professional. Worthwhile place to stay for tourists and travelers.
L. A.Great location and views. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. It is a budget motel so don't expect gold standard - for gold standard you have to pay a lot more. There are lights and switches above each bed instead of lamps which is more convenient. Beds are comfy.
For our needs we found it excellent value and the added full kitchen available to everyone is a great addition. Staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

T. W.Good location. The guest kitchen was very handy. Housekeeping was disappointing. Bins weren't emptied either in the kitchen or the rooms. And laundry/towels could be changed more often. Otherwise great place to stay.
L. G.A room for $85 is not going to be fancy, but this room had the basic comforts - column heater, electric blanket and a shower with good water pressure. Good for an overnight stopover.

M. D.Great easy to get around location, nice comfortable room which was nicely heated, great touch with having electric blankets on the bed. Lovely friendly staff. Stayed in the apartments in the older portion of the property which was nice but the bathroom was in dire need of renovation (or at least mould removal and regrout) and the wood floors meant other guests (with small children) were very loud... Would definitely stay there again though... but maybe next time in the main building
S. L.On-site parking offered but subject to availability. Heater, AC, hair dryer, fridge and microwave equipped. Public kitchen available. Quite close to Hobart city center, like 10 min drive away. It does say they'll only change any towels on the bathroom floor, but they didn't during my stay, only tidied our beds and took out the garbage when we requested to make our room. Friendly staff, it was a nice stay.
T. T.It is very comfortable at reasonable price. Facing the lake with swimming pool. Equipped with microwave, fridge and kettle as well as coffee and tea in the mini kitchen. But, didn’t change bed sheet in ten days. The blue print on the bed sheet covered by blanket was found on the second night till check out. I am an environment friendly person but don’t agree this is good enough.

S. T.We booked in mid to late January and the fact that the rooms don't have air conditioning was a problem! Pool was nice but rooms in "old section" were pretty basic. I think we didn't pay much so was probably fair value.

The room was clean and bed well made there are Dispenser's in the bathroom for soap shampoo etc. The place was quiet which made for a good nights rest and the complimentary continental was small but sufficient. The staff are nice.
Con's
Parking is limited and we found ourselves having to park in a vacant lot next to the motel. Between the 2 of us we had 3 flat pillows to share and the bed side shelves have sharp corners and very close to the bed. Lastly our room was tiny and had a chimney coming out of the floor right in the walk way making the room feel even smaller.
Overall you get what you pay for and if you want a place close to the entertainment center that's clean and quiet than this is the place you.

D. K.I'm gonna do this review in pros and cons to make it easier. We stayed here for two nights in January 2017.
Pros - staff are excellent and very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and views are good. Plenty of parking. Big fridge so you can put your stuff in there. Excellent location 10 mins from city centre.
Cons - bed was uncomfortable. None of the lights worked in our room. There's no aircon (just a terrible fan that doesn't do anything). Shower is very small like in a caravan.
J. T.Rooms were clean, staff were friendly, bathroom was clean, comfy beds. Free toiletries provided like shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Not enough parking spaces available though and the car park was small and hard to to a U-turn in when you want to get out. When there were no more parking spaces you had to park on the vacant lot next door which was on a grassy steep hill.

C. L.I like the quiet environment and nice waterfront location. Two minute drive away, there's a petrol station and further down the road there's Cole supermarket, Kmart, and a number of eateries. Downtown Hobart is just a 10 minute drive south while MONA is a 10 minute drive north. My room is small, but clean and cozy. There's a mini-fridge, microwave and kettle. I appreciate the free wifi and free onsite parking. Overall, it was value for money.

T. M.Suitable for an overnight stay only, as we did on. Corner shower with good hot water and pressure. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. Basic tea and coffee facilities with sparse utensils. Guests doing the wrong thing is making it hard for people who do the right thing.
B. M.Great value, basic and close to Mona. You must have a car though. Claire from reception was super helpful and arranged a portacot in the room, and contacted us 2 days before our stay to ask if we wanted it in the room in advance as we were checking in late (I had a note in my diary to call them myself but so reassuring to have them contact us, advance proof their booking system works!).
If arriving late I recommend ordering dinner in advance through Dial-a-meal. We nearly missed out as calling after 9pm is risky and starting your holiday off without dinner is not cool.
I read a bunch of negative reviews on different sites but none of the issues described were a problem. I did see note about chsnged management somewhere. Good cleanliness. Building is basic but functional, I did have to move the coat rack and fan around the room until I found a layout that didn't risk middle of the night toe-stubbing but had everything we needed. Towels, toiletries, tea, coffee, microwave, sink etc. To save $60 or so a night would definitely come back.
T. C.It's a motel. It is very loud as the walls are thin and the windows angled to catch every expletive that Jimmy learned on vacation. There is no waterfront access and the view is primarily of a fueling terminal. Rooms are small. Good value for what you are getting, but you will need to drive for everything.

T. M.A very nice little motel just outside Hobart. Not too bad considering however it was occupied by ***y slugs in the bathroom on the carpets and in the kitchennette areas. Close to airport and Hobart. Not a city person so this Lodge suited me nicely out of town but near enough good location to cross the Bridge heading North.
T. M.On 1st day they forgot to provide us a breakfast and towels. The domitory section is totally seperate and there is lots of room for grown-ups upstairs. Our room had a strange flue smack bang at the end of the bed. Definitely recommended if you're looking for something not too far from Hobart with great value.
T. M.Room was small. There was no room information. The walls were so paper thin that we heard everything. Its a misnomer and their photographs showing water from the lobby is somewhat deceiving. The location of the Lodge is excellent with all attractions in and around Hobart easy to get to.

M. W.If your looking for really cheap and tidy room that is very close to Hobart but not in the CBD then Waterfront Lodge Motel will be perfect for you. The staff were welcoming and helpful. For the same price in the city you will end up in a Hostel sharing toilets and showers. My partner and I had a hire car so it was very easy to make it from our Hotel and travel all around Hobart with only Google maps to guide us. I give it 4 stars because it is clearly a budget accommodation, however it was very clean and tidy for what you actually pay for. Our room had Wi-Fi, 1 double bed, 1 single bed, shower, kitchenette and TV.

A.Nice enough room, location is just out of the city, parking is first in best dressed and it's pretty tight but there's street parking.
The bed was comfy, the room had a split system, the shower was quite tight with the design of the floor pan.
But overall it did the job and Peter at reception was a really nice bloke and made us feel welcome.
