Stayed 2 nights, wonderful view from the big wide window. Comfortable beds. Has pool access where kids enjoyed their fullest. This is only high rise around that area so view is the first point for it. Also has many other facilities that can make a perfect holiday time.
P. O.
Only stayed overnight and had our room away from main part of complex. Our room was very clean and reasonably spacious. Bed was very comfortable with water views at least. Dinner at the Chinese restaurant, a few after dinner drinks, great friendly staff. Worth staying again next time

It may be Australia's 1st casino but as a place to stay this rates as one of the best in Hobart. The Casino has undergone extensive renovations and is a gem. The Accommodation is very very nice. There is the main building all new and snazzy. Views of the mountain, the city and the river. There is the art deco building, very good, with views of the river. And there is also a separate section with gardens all round.
The rooms are well maintained with nice shower, comfy beds, fridge, kettle, and a big screen TV.
The meals in the bistro are excellent, and the Pub Cob Loaf is a must for starters.
We have stayed on numerous occasions, and every time I rate this a 5 out of 5

Stayed just one night. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was immaculate with a very comfortable bed and pillow selection. We unexpectedly had a view of the river and it was beautiful. Hotel is within walking distance (~15min) to grocery stores, pubs, bottle shops and restaurants. Parking was included on the premises.

Hi...this review not about the Hotel service but the surroundings of it. Just calming and beautiful.... The grasses are like the best bedding... The see is dreamy green.... Have a coffee and enjoy the ducks and seagulls...
e. c.
Casino was good. Drinks are a decent price. Staff polite. Amenities clean. Bit far out of the main town area so I wouldn't stay that far out but all in all decent.
A. B.
Good price, no fuss room. Check in made it seem like you're moving into top class motel by taking 200 (can give 200 cash as security) hold on card but you cross the road into old building.

Wrest point have been absolutely incredible when I had to cancel my booking at short notice due to COVID. Jas and Natalie were great to deal with and moved my dates without any hassles even when they were not obliged to from a legal standpoint. Looking forward to
visiting this property soon in the near future!
P. F.
Great value for money. The view of the harbour is nice, and the grounds are worth a stroll. There are lots of birds and wildlife around. The Kwan ho restaurant is a gem but beware of the cafe!!!
The coffee is atrocious, like really really bad.
A. R.
We were fortunate to be upgraded. Thank you. It's comfortable but a bit tired. Disappointed that the restaurants are closed except for the Board Walk Cafe and Bistro. No complaints.
S. T.
Nice hotel and convenient location. Close to Hobart and lots to do. Harbour view room is beautiful. Will definitely stay here again.
D. W.
More than happy with both of our experiences here. Have stayed twice. Receptionist very attentive & caring even gave us an upgrade. Room was spotless with a wonderful view over the Derwent. Our requests were attended to immediately. Food in Bistro also very good & generous serves
V. A.
Great rooms and amenities and awesome views.
We had a king bed, (2 king single joined together) one of the mattresses dipped and was slightly uncomfortable but we did let the staff know at check out for future

We always love to stay at this property as it has a lot to offer along with its location which is super close to Salamanca and harbor.
It has rooms with amazing views, wellness areas with gym, pool, spa and sauna, has many restaurants & cafes and on top the only casino which is a great attraction.
J. T.
It was a good hotel mostly because there were things to do. There is a casino, shows, meals and more. We had a great view out of our hotel room window of the mountains, water and carpark and a lot of the room was modern.
The room however had curtains that don’t fully close and light from the hallway gets under the door and to the sides of the door in the large gaps left there. Add some noise from some younger drunk people after a night at the casino and the light and noise comfort was not good.
Transport to the location outside of the city wasn’t great, but Ubers were only $10.
Anyway, it was mostly good, but I value my sleep when on vacation and a dark room is a must!

Recently celebrated Xmas lunch for 26 ladies. Food was lovely and the service even better. Location was boardwalk and we would like to pass on our thanks for making us welcome and setting up the tables as requested.
Rae and crew🎍

Music entertainment is always great in the bird cage. Meals are yummy at the boardwalk bistro. The buffet & coffee shop was lovely however, didn't like the eat & run idea & I noticed later that the tables were not all occupied after the 1sr sitting. So that was really disappointing especially when you get told you have to leave.. so if that's how that's going to operate, I don't think many people will be booking for meals there. Otherwise everywhere else is really good.
J. Y.
Best value for money hotel in Hobart - We booked a water edge room which is literally right in front of water, the rate was very reasonable for the view. It’s close to Salamanca market and only a short drive to cbd. Really good value for money especially considering we booked it last minute for traveling during Xmas break.
J. M.
We had our Xmas dinner there in the Tasman room. Was a really good night. Didn't go anywhere else in the casino.
Just need to work on having a designated smoking area, instead of it being at the entrance from the car park.
G. P.
The location is fine I guess but the rooms aren't much to speak of. Old, poorly ventilated and, oh my god are they noisy!
There are renovations happening, including the lifts and they are needed. All night the clanging and banging when the lift was used.
There for the Point to Pinnacle but maybe another hotel next time.

Great stay. Comfy beds, nice friendly staff. An extra special shout out to Michael C who checked us in and out. He is the perfect example of perfect customer service.
Thanks all for our stay

I stay at Wrest Point fairly regularly and did run into a bit of trouble with a parking issue. I recently stayed again unsure what to expect, check in with (Danny) was 5 stars, I also had a follow up call from the head of security the day after my last trip. In light of this I have changed the review to 5 stars as I do stay here often and I do believe it was just a series of events and miscommunication that unfolded in an unfortunate way.
S. O. D. P.
There during renovations so a little off putting. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great view of the bay from the coffee shop.
H. R.
Its beautiful venue, Go there to enjoy prestine waterfront stay experience and a classy city life of Hobart. Live music, food and vine, also if money in your pockets getting heavier, go gamble and play pokies, it certainly will help you getting a lot lighter there.
S.
Central location, convenient and close to the city
Vegan options were limited but we had the vegan burger via room service and it was delicious! …
L. M.
Fabulous intimate casino so much more enjoyable experience than the trashy star on the Gold Coast. The new section just opened today. Beautiful setting too right on the Derwent. Sorry no inside photos.
A. C.
Great hotel. Extremely comfortable beds, well appointed rooms with fantastic views. Multiple eating venues and thr casino. All on Hobarts doorstep (and river!)
S. (.
We had the most wonderful rooms. We had suites. They were refurbished and the view was spectacular. We looked straight down the harbour to the bridge.
The bathroom and dressing room were to die for.
We ate at the Boardwalk Bistro for 3 dinners and 3 breakfasts. The meals were amazing. So much choice for dinner.
P.
Dtaff were friendly, Rooms were nice, great views, has a casino, late night bars.. overall was real nice and will be back.
C. L.
Overall nice experience - we couldn't check in until 4 pm but the service is good and friendly. The room was newly renovated but had ventilation issue.
F. B.
It's been a year since our last stay at Wrestppint and I really hope that the bistro has improved as last time the food was abysmal! I raised the issue at both the bistro (at time of plates being cleared) and emailed a complaint but got the standard 'thanks for your feedback blah, blah. Fortunately the atrocious dish was paid for with a voucher offer they had at the time, but no action such as a complimentary drink etc was offered, something, that considering I found it embarrassing to have to complain, would have gone a long way to rectify how terrible the experience was. Everything else about our stay was great, excellent room and fabulous Concierge staff. Just a shame that not only was the meal terrible, but the professionalism shown by other staff was not upheld by bistro management.
M. B.
Great place to stay and base your Hobart trip. Easy access and plenty of parking.
Very attentive staff, beautiful clean rooms as well.
C. K.
Great location. Many dining options and the cafe on level one even run until late. There are also gaming areas, bars (live band on weekend) and beautiful sighting for walk- short walk to long Beach or Sandy Bay pubs and restaurants.
P. L.
Friendly staff, very clean and beautifully appointed rooms, wonderful view of Sandy Bay. Pillow menu was great, first night I didn't have a good night sleep as pillow was too high but once I switched pillows I slept wonderfully. Bed was very comfortable too. Laundry facilities available too which was a bonus.
W. F.
New Casino area is great, just a shame they don't have a separate place, well away from the main area to play that head banging music which drowns the place out... why can't it go in the area that the old Regine's used to be... seriously that is enough to turn people away...
N. H.
Tasmania's largest casino and well established, great for a pub feed and drink with the multiple bars and restaurants along its sprawling complex. I haven't stayed here as of yet but it's a really good place to come and relax maybe a little gamble! My partner proposed to me on the break way so it's always a special place 😍
r. c.
Friendly helpful staff a couple of nice restaurants rooms comfortable with nice views a bit dated but in the style of it era
G. B.
Perfect location the veiw from our mountain view room amazing the room has been renovated staff very friendly food very good we where there for 9 nights we will be coming back Geoff and jackie
b. r.
Great hotel. Very close to the city, but not too close. Beautiful water front views
T. D.
I was traveling around Tasmania and originally had a cheap hotel in the suburbs booked for my final night in Hobart. However my parents decided to treat me by booking a motel room at wrest point (it was the budget room but still a lot better than i had originally booked).
On arrival however I was informed that I had received a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe king room in the main tower with water views, something i would never dream of asking for. On top of that I also received a $40 voucher to put toward dining.
The building is getting old but the rooms seem to have been recently updated and they felt luxurious.
They were doing some renovations to the boardwalk precinct but it didn't cause too much hassle apart from a longer walk to dinner (You can't blame them for using this quiet period to catch up on renovations etc).
J. K. K.
Food is good. Open and clear spaces. It's a casino but does have restaurants and hosts events like the Hobart Rotary Art show. Parking is free and the building is wheelchair accessible. Just don't get caught on the pokies.
P. H.
The Bistro is a great venue for a family get together. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the view across the river is lovely.
J. D.
Although it was in the midst of renovations things were still pretty organised. The only issue would be the lift were slow as most were out of service. So it was quicker in some cases to take the stairs
B. W.
This place has undergone many upgrades in the last 12 months, making it one of the more modern venues in Hobart. It's a winner for conferences, events and concerts.
S. R.
Stayed for two nights 6th and 7th january b4 a south west wilderness 8 day kayaking trip.Booking.com made a mistake but the very polite , freindly staff upon arrival went out of their way to take care of it with room follow up calls and it was soughted with no fuss even though it was not their problem. Then stayed another two nights 15th and 16th on return and again staff really nice , freindly and polite nothing was a problem. The motel room was comfortable and nice and fairly priced .Board walk cafe and other eateries and bars top service and room charge made it a breeze. My stay was faultless and will be returning again in december for another trip and look forward to staying here again.
J. W.
Had lovely breakfast but not as nice as coffee shop. Sun was shining in too much should have had blinds.... One side was too much glare and other side much to hot made us feel very sick.
J. P.
Wrest Point Hotel was a nice quiet place to stay the night rooms clean and tidy. Had a great dinner at Boardwalk Bistro especially enjoyed the pub loaf.
s. g.
Great experience. Very clean and good customer service. Definitely going back again
L. G.
Great staff!
Asked for one of the refurbished rooms looking at mt Wellington. Great view. Can see your car parked from your room. Which was a good feeling.
Price is good
D. W.
Boardwalk restaurant staff were first class and the cascade battered blue grenadier was fresh as , the chips were plenty of crunch and the salad was fresh with a lovely vinaigrette, beer was ice cold off tap and the gaming staff were very helpful and friendly, highly recommend visiting.
K. C.
We had a lovely overnight stay. Staff were professional and friendly. Food was great. Room was very comfortable. Would highly recommend.
A. S.
The front desk staff Henna and Simran were delightful. We were upgraded and the room was perfect. We will be back :)
e.
Entertainment and food and beverage options = 5 Star.
Bought down to 3 star due to the complete lack of dress code and the amount of riff raff in the gaming rooms. Thongs, hats on backwards, grubby smelly clothes etc. I even asked the security guard if they enforced a dress code anymore, and he said no.
N. B.
Attended our granddaughter's speech night. Large, comfortable seating, good sound system, three levels of parking.
I. 1.
Easily our best night in Tassie. From the minute we arrived John (I think) at the front desk was so awesome, helped us with an upgrade and the room was incredible. Beautiful inside and freshly updated. Staff at the casino were great and super friendly.
Loved the food in the restaurant. Thank you for a great night.
J. K.
Very tired hotel. Think they may be doing the it up in some places but it really does need completely pulling down and starting again. It was very clean though. Probably would not stay there again
D. M.
Beautiful meal, did have to wait long for meal to come out, great service.
R. G.
Spent 4 night's.
Everything was perfect, rooms nice and tidey staff where very friendly and helpful.

Good service and friendly staff. Our booking got cancelled but they managed to solve the issue. . . Not so far from the town and relaxing place.
K. S.
Rooms were nice and comfy, the front desk staff were very helpful and always smiling. Their systems went down, but they were proactively helping guests get up and down the lifts, always with a smile. We had to check out early due, Sam at front desk was very good at understanding my point of view and refunded 2 days of our stay. Very helpful.
j. s.
Staff were very nice, rooms could do with upgrading, but they were clean, comfortable and had all the necessities.
T. B.
It is very lovely mountain view. Services and staff are very good and friendly, I will come back
A. B.
I gave it the rating because it's good value for money and the rooms are clean and a decent size. Incredible view of the window of the whole harbour and amazing sky.
The downside is the room felt a little stuffy even with air-conditioning on but that may just have been this room. Also green light along the top of outside window meant we couldn't leave curtain open and enjoy the incredible view while going to sleep.
J.
Beautiful food, very attentive staff ! They go that extra mile to make you feel special.
A. R.
Great place to stay, very friendly staff, Amazing Food and Casino is best on weekends
M. V.
Renovations look great, nice staff and well priced drinks
M. A.
Lovely views, very friendly staff! We had good coffee and almond croissant at the cafe before dinner as we came early to avoid the crowds. I was glad they had soy milk and decaf coffee for me which was a relief! The Boardwalk bistro was still closed but we enjoyed the water views outside and the Wrest Point jetty scene. At the bistro, staff were also very attentive. At the register, we were told they had free drinking water but we could not find it. Luckily, we asked a waitress who offered to get the bottle of water and glasses so we were relieved we didn't need to look around for the drinks section. My friend's Caesar salad looks good and she finished every morsel. My roast lamb dinner was a generous serve for small size but the lamb was a bit chewy and dry. The veggies we're well cooked though and the gravy was a bit bland for me. I wished I ordered pork as I saw some people eating it and it looks tender. Next time!
M. S.
Really nice hotel rooms and great views. However it is a fair walk from inner city.
A. K.
Wrest Point was great. We arrived early and left our luggage with reception. Their system crashed so they had to put everything in manually which made their job hard. We checked in at 2pm and got a great room with stunning views! Casino was great too! Recommended this place if visiting Hobart.
A. A.
nice hotel in Hobart with a great lake view & jogging track. very recommended
M. D.
Awesome experience so far!! Got a suite upgrade.. Supervisor was very helpful.
G. S.
Quality rooms at reasonable price. Try choosing the higher floor rooms as the views from the hotel is awesome, specially in the morning when looking out of the window. Waterside view 😍
Choose it for :
1. Quality rooms
2. Amazing house keeping
3. Reasonable price
4. All in one experience- casino, sauna, pool, entertainment, bar
M. B.
What an amazing venue. The room was exceptional and the view from our room was amazing. We ate most our meals at the bistro as it was convenient, the prices were excellent and the service was so fast. The staff were fantastic throughout the entire hotel. We'll be back.
s.
Really love this place. It has an older charm when you first walk into the lobby which actually really grows on you as the hotel feels so cozy, comfortable and welcoming everywhere. Buffet breakfast included which was enough but more healthy veg options would be nice! Our room was absolutely amazing, can't wait when we come back later. Small bits and bobs they include to make your stay feel like luxury such as a pillow menu, multiple rounds of housecleaning throughout the day, walk in wardrobe, bath and huge shower, ambient lighting, remote controlled blackout blinds and that magnificent harbour view. Multiple restaurants within the hotel, all serving delicious food. This hotel will hold a special place for me! Can't wait to come back later. They have a sauna here too 😍😍😍 staff are all so friendly😊
The only thing is in breakfast when that sun hits the water its literally blinding! I always find a shady spot but feel bad for people sitting at the window. I do think some remote controlled blinds would be good.
L. N.
Went and had lunch with the family here. Great food, great views and the staff were really nice and friendly.
D. C.
Nice. Great location. Great amenities, especially if you like betting and pokies and generally feeling like you've won with all the allure of bells and whistles, when you probably really haven't. If you're accommodated in the, I don't know, add-on attached bit, you'll find yourself having to go on a hike over two elevators to get there. It's such fun late at night trying to remember, "up or down?!"
A. M.
The view from our room was AMAZING!!!! And the room was nice! However, it took four visits to the room just to get our breakfast order right! There really isn't much food and entertainment options. This place has the potential to be amazing. Just needs some investment in facilities and staff training it seems.
A.
2nd stay there over 12mths.
I've decided it's not as good as it should be. Room small but very clean, noisy neighbours again, drinking causes lots of antisocial behaviour late at night, families not controlling kids running up the corridor and I had a child with me, we were considerate of others. Buffet breakfast no way as good as it used to be for the price. Better places to stay for an extra $60.
S. L.
I arrived to a three day lockdown. The staff could not have been more accommodating in an upsetting time. I will definitely return
J. P.
Great stay even with the 2.45am wake up call with the evacation false alam
J. B.
Exquisite view of Mt Wellington & Sandy Bay marina, with equally beautiful room furnishings, super comfortable bed, linen & pillows. Coffee pod machine, and lovely scented complimentary toiletries. Plenty of food options on site, and within walking distance. We utilised the indoor heated pool & spa which we also thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend this property, the service received & all hotel staff made us feel welcome and that any need could be met. We appreciated our upgrade & will stay again.
P. L.
This venue has been a part of my life since I was born. Don't get me wrong, it has its place and what it does is solid. It's just that... except for the occasional concert, event, or conference, I don't find myself wanting to go there as there's little in house that attracts me. When I do go, though, the staff are always courteous, helpful, and professional.
S. Y.
Consistently good, friendly staff, clean modern rooms. Good facilities.
C. D.
Our first time travelling to Hobart and we couldn’t have started our holiday better! Shout out to Danny at the front desk who was incredibly professional, welcoming and accommodating! You made our holiday something to remember! We stayed in the tower, the room had a beautiful, incredibly clean and refurbished interior. Can’t wait to come back again!
J. W.
Staying here for a week and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. The staff are great as are the dining areas and meals. The buffet breakfast does not leave you wanting and has a good variety of items for your selection. The ground and gardens are beautiful. The hotel house cleaning staff are excellent and do a marvellous job maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms. I believe that they are the most important human resource of any business but sadly they are more often ignored or treated with disdain. I personally take my hat off to them. Thank you to all of you. John
R. T.
The check in staff, the membership ladies and hospitality staff including food and drinks were excellent.. best place to stay...
s. g.
Fantastic food, steaks to die for, some of the staff could learn to smile
S. C.
Great service and great meals really happy with the quality and friendly staff
A. J.
Wrest Point hasn't always been a favourite,, but the last few times I've visited over 2years staff customer service qualities have approved dramatically across the establishment. Staff are friendly, ready and willing to assist customers with queries & ready to enforce rules whenever needed, respectfully, I look forward to visiting again for n future 😀👌
p. b.
Yes for a revolving restaurant. Dishes were to die for. We took our family (who were feom Melbourne) for dinner, and they were so impressed, happy. Food presentations were like Gourmet 🥂
Room were awesome, big like an apartment. Loved the toilet, and walk-in robe. And thw electric curtains were very fancy. And hats off to the view 👌
L. W.
best hotel in the TAS trip, worth for the money. harbour view room is excellent!
F. T.
Decent place to stay with good views.
J. F.
Great value accommodation. Clean and spacious rooms made for a very comfortable stay. Very easy and efficient check in and checkout. Staff were friendly and professional with good tips for things to do in Hobart.
Z. U.
Fantastic environment.
Great variety of food.
Children menu is amazing
K.
David and Rocky were very helpful, the room is clean and comfortable.
R. M.
Small casino not many gaming tables or game choices BUT biggest casino in the state so its sort of number one
D.
Great choice of food, drinks and very delicious desserts in Wrest Point Buffet.
L. J.
Stayed for a few nights in the old Art Deco wing. It’s very well maintained (a credit to the cleaning and maintenance staff) but very dated 80s90s. Good Smart TV, great view, tiny and I mean tiny bathroom and a hike to the lobby or breakfast.
K. F.
Room was super clean and sooo big, we had the suite as we had 2 little kids so it was great for them to be able to move around.
Staff on front desk were pretty rude and unhelpful, the cleaners were really lovely, as well as maintenance man, went out of their way to help us with a bathroom issue.
We had a hire car and were able to park it at no charge in the car park , which was really close to front entrance which was perfect with kids.
The gardens were really nice for the kids to have a run around.
This hotel is about 2 kilometres from the city which is fine if you have a car, bit far to walk to the city.
E. Z.
Wrest Point is a brilliant Hotel & Casino that I have massive love for!
In full disclosure, I used to work there a long time ago as their Marketing Manager / Director and to this day I'm totally in love the property.
You have amazing restaurants, wonderful rooms, the staff are incredible and it's beautifully located in Sandy Bay Hobart.
Ahh, I miss the place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and love their work!
J. W.
Great service good and great cold beer ..thanks for the win I walked away with a good win
G. M.
Dont understand why no shower doors as water dont stay in shower !!
Great place to stay. All that is missing is a movie theatre. Great harbour view from 8th floor
A. M.
Staying for 3 nights here, and everything was great! Starting from our room in level 14: well refurbished, clean, & have modern look.(we suggest you to book the deluxe room on top level since they have better view & better interior design) Service was great too, housekeeping been looking after our room really well, front staff are all friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was great value for $19.5. Little improvement might be for the egg selections for the hot food section. On monday (19/04) , chef cooking station only able to cook poached egg. Will be great if they can make fried, omelette, etc :)
Sally on breakfast service was really nice to us! She explains breakfast service clearly and have a genuine nice customer service attitude, smilling all the time:) creating a great mood for us to start the day.
Staffs at casino was nice too! friendly and caring to patrons. They check regulary if you need drinks on table, covid19 rule also taken in the area, making you feel safe.
Thank you wrest point team & well done!
Will recommend to other people
D. M.
Upgraded and being updated nice place to have a beer and play pokies if u like
m. s.
Great place, staff are really helpful and multiple restaurants that are top notch. Casino need to let the wife win more often. Just sayin...
S. A.
Great view, helpful staff, best customer service, comfortable bedding
S. B.
I have been attending HT Health for physical training sessions, staff members are always friendly and supportive with knowledge and skills, new equipment and always clean.
S. “. W.
My stay at wrest point was great. The room was clean and serviced well. The staff were kind and professional. The tv had access to Netflix and other apps during our down time. I highly recommend staying here. It’s affordable, surrounded by great views and things to do and if you have a car gives a good access point to the city.
X. F.
Nice meal at The Bistro. Friendly efficient service.
R. H.
Was not happy with service at the eatery. The whole format is new ( to me) & there were few staff. No one to meet & greet. Noone to explain the eatery. Menu was basic & lacked clarity in some sections. You had to line up to order. Bar staff seemed only concerned with taking your order, but not being interested in customer satisfaction.
Overall it felt like a very roughly thrown together cheap version ( of what used to be there) to simply cater towards gamblers who might get hungry & want a quick bite to eat. It was very disappointing. I wont be rushing back.
J. C.
Enjoyed 3 perfect nights here. We stayed in the motor inn ,not the main tower. Food is excellent. Staff professional and very very accomadating. Red bus at the door!! Will definitely make this our place to stay when next in Hobart.
B. S.
I had a pleasant stay at Wrest Point Hotel.
All the staff were very polite and friendly.
The breakfast included was delicious. The best eggs Benny ever!
The views from my room and from the cafe were amazing.
The facilities were great.
My room was dated but it was very comfortable.
I'm sure there are newer rooms there.
Overall it was great!
I would definitely stay there again next time that I'm in Hobart.
This is a place where you could stay a week easily. :)
M. U.
This is one of my favourite restaurants in the city. Unlike quite a few of the other restaurants in Hobart where the industrial look and feel make them uncomfortable to have an intimate chat across your table.
The Old Wharf at MACq01 is very well furnished and the softness and lighting make it a beautiful setting for lunch or dinner - no need to fight the echos and reverberation of the other dinners here!
The food is always a delight with seasonal changes to the menu like any self respecting quality restaurant. Oh by the way their staff are probably the best in the hospitality industry.
F. K.
Good experience. Near to city. Staff is very helpfull.
Water Edge Rooms have nice view.
Only Toilets are small.
4 Star Rooms should have Free water available. Coin laundry should have coin change option or Credit card Tap system.
Kids pool should have bigger space.
C. C.
We visited the revolving resturant tonight and enjoyed a quality meal with fantastic views. With the 8.00 pm sitting we had great harbour views along with the night lights as the restaurant continued to revolve. The staff were great as well.
T. C.
Really great staff, clean, great food, recommend for sure,🙂
Q. J.
The river edge room was lovely, had a rather homely feeling and a glamorous view of the nearby waterfront. Parking was free and breakfast had a generous spread, value for money
J. M.
This is a review for the Revolving Restaurant.
Silver service all the way. Super professional and attentive staff with exemplary manners. The dishes were second to none with brilliant attention to detail, presentation and taste!!
k. d.
Nice Facilities but Rooms are not so good at waterview!!
J. W.
Great hotel, amazing food and experience in the Casino, good amenities with a gym and hot spa + pool. A range of 360° views from the tower with a mixture of north-western mountain, southern coastal and Eastern sea views! Must-stay.
F. C.
Stayed our first 2 nights on holidays here. We found it a quaint holiday location.
J. M.
This place is getting very tired. Old lifts which can take 5 minutes to get it going. We stayed at Waterline where the cold wind came under our door. I couldn't sit in a chair as my legs froze with the freezing wind. I don't care about the old decor. I just want a hot shower, good bed and to be warm. Definitely not warm sitting.
J. T.
Fabulous night out. Many areas to dine, have a drink with friends or have a flutter on the pokies!!

Great place to play the pokies and keno. You can stay and play and est here.

Fantastic place and food was nice. Only one thing wrong with it was our room, it was a connecting one and the noise from kids next door was terrible on both sides of our room. Kids running from one room to another at 11 o'clock at night. Hotel is lovely and clean too.
D. W.
Loved the place.
Nice rooms with nice view.
T. M. M.
Good place and great service with plenty of options for relaxing with a quiet drink play some Pokies or maybe the main gambling floor. Room was spotless and welcoming only thing was because of Covid the mini bar is empty you have to order the drinks and other snacks to be delivered to the room. The only thing to be negative about was the lifts we were on the Forth floor with another 11 floors above and with only 2 lifts and a capacity of 4 people, well it took nearly 15 mins to get a lift to go down to check out apart from that 🙂🙂 the stay was great. Enjoy

Dined in the Revolving Restaurant, could not fault the meal or service. Will definitely be back 😊

My friends visited a week or so ago. They asked to visit the casino and take a few photos of the young bird on the waters edge. I am pleased to announce that this young has finally started growing feathers.
Oh, the casino is great, loads of pokies and great eating areas. There is a separate sports bars with a tab terminal and many screens. A recommended place to visit next time you visit the Apple Isle.

The room and view was amazing to die for, I woke up to the habour side beautiful is not the word for the view.
The room cleaning , was dependant on who cleaned them . One morning they didn’t even put my pillows back on my bed, and then one afternoon they left an empty milk jug on the side, they hadn’t replenished my milk in the fridge.
The nuce lounge bar was shut during my stay and the bird cage bar opened on the Friday so it meant that if you wanted a beer it was the sports bar or the bistro , which was like having a beer in a supermarket restaurant.
Some of the reception staff gave out much needed information and some didn’t. Their was a Chinese gentleman I listened to while I was in reception and he was a star. He went above and beyond on to make sure the people that he was checking in had all the information they needed.
I had to wait at the tourist information, ages, as Hotel staff just walked past without asking if their was anything they could help you with.
Breakfast was nice at 20 dollars for a buffet breakfast it was a special for people staying at the hotel.
The hotel is about 1.5 k from Hobart a nice walk or the public transport is $3.50 from stop 11 cash only.
R. P.
Customer service was great both at reception and room service. Unfortunately the room was a bit old and run down especially for a 4 star hotel. We could hear a phone vibranting and ringing in the next room early in the morning. Room service breakfast menu was super confusing, couldnt order just 1 item, had to order a breakfast tray for each person. the staff were kind enough to adjusted it to suit our needs. Very covid safe!
M. C.
Room were lovely and clean the staff at the reception desk were very friendly. Made you feel very welcome
S. W.
Staff very helpful and friendly, food excellent. I am a returning customer and don't bother looking anywhere else.

Good clean accomm at Waters Edge and super view

Always been pleased with Wrest point, great place for good food, friendly atmosphere & comfortable accommodation.
C. Z.
The Reception Staff where friendly, the concierge Rocky (?) was brilliant, knowledgeable and so helpful.
There is a Day Spa, so perfect I had a facial, eyebrow and eyelash treatments. Perfectly relaxing.
Well done Wrest Point Hotel

We found the rooms well kept and cleaned. Was impressed with the ease of access. Bed linen was clean and in great condition, plenty of towels and bathroom supplies. Staff were friendly in both the hotel area and the casino itself.
Disappointed that the tv didn't work and during the evening high winds shook the windows making loud banging sounds and sleep hard until the weather calmed down.
The meals we had via room service were tasty, large portions and reasonably priced, and delivered promptly and politely. Attached photos of both dinner and breakfast.
Overall a good stay. 5 stars would have been achieved if it wasn't for the window/tv issue.
I.
We stayed in the water front. Compact rooms and reasonably fitted out. Water views were nice. It is an old building and with all the sounds from the passage way, the other adjoining rooms, feels like a hostel and not a quality venue.
Other than check in and out, no contact with staff, other than the cleaning service restocking the room coffee bar.
It's a bit of a labyrinth also, a long walk to the pool and spa which again was reasonable but quite compact. Towels available poolside.
The buffet restaurant didn't really appeal nor the other offerings. Did not go into the gaming rooms either.
Free parking for guests.
A. A.
Large place with wonderful location and views across water of the Derwent River to see most of the city laying on the slopes and the spectacular view of the surrounding mountains of Hobart
Great food and play facilities
People spend long hours here
N. M.
Never in my many hotel stays, have I EVER experienced such sincere care, kindness and effort as i experienced at Wrest Point with Danny from reservations.
Danny's customer service was beyond exceptional right from check-in! He definitely provides passion & pride in his work.

Stay - 20th Feb 2021
Room - 1007

Great hotel located at a prime location in Hobart. Stayed in a riverfront king room in the water edge tower, room was good and had great views. Health centre has an indoor heated pool, spa, gym and a sauna which were all good. Process for breakfast buffet for in-house guests can be improved
C. D.
The perfect fine dining experience - worth every cent. The chicken and sirlion are simply to die for - melt in the mouth, packed with delicate and intricate flavours which all come together on a plate of heaven. If you want to skip entrée, mains are filling enough with a couple of generous sides. Ambience, service and 360 degrees views are spectacular. The only criticism is the need to enforce the dress code. The guy wandering around with the tracksuit was interesting...
G. B.
The hotel had a major system outage throughout what was one of their busiest weekends (Easter + casino hotel), which means we couldn’t access our rooms by ourselves and the casino was out too.
We were a group of 4 who stayed there from Saturday the 3rd to Tuesday the 6th April 2021 and there was never a time that the staff were not available to get us to our rooms as soon as we returned back to the hotel. The casino tables were out one night only - the rest of the days tables was managed manually. The staff were available, ready to help and friendly despite everything having to be done manually.
The hotel is located at Sandy Bay with excellent water views and a view of Mount Wellington. Accessibility wise, there’s a fuel pump right outside and coles and a small eating precinct at a 15 min walking distance (5 min drive) Would recommend this place hands down!
The only suggestion to the hotel would be to widen the breakfast spread (add more options) or change it up a bit once a couple of days because it gets monotonous if you’re staying there for more than 2-3 days, specially if you have brekkie included in your room rate - that being said, the chef was friendly and took a moment to talk to customers who approached him for anything at all.
Thank you to the entire team, will definitely return when in Hobart again!
H. C.
Great place to stay with amazing views of Mount Wellington and the Harbour. The staff are accommodating and the hotel is very central to Hobart. We had a great experience here and would book again!
D. R.
Excellent,
The rooms are well appointed and staff are extremely friendly.
The views over the harbour were fantastic, watching cruise ships come in and sailing boats returning for the night was very nice.
The food at the bistro was very good quality with lots of choices to choose from.
Taking a morning stroll after breakfast around the gardens watching rabbits feed made our mornings.
We enjoyed our stay so much we booked a further 2 nights.
R. C.
We loved the place. We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Several options of restaurants and bars come in handy. There is room service 24 hours, so you can order some dinner even if all the restaurants are already closed. Don't get hung up by the retro look of the building and the rooms, it all works well and is clean and comfortable. There is a reasonable gym and indoor pool.
J. S.
Best casino. Great bistro. Views from window when eating lunch were super and the gaming room was huge. Very busy! Staff very helpfull!!
B. H.
A friend and I had a lovely coffee by the river.
A. R.
Wrest Point have the best value meals in Hobart, plenty to eat at the right price and fabulous views
J. C.
They were so accommodating and really easy to work with, the young man at reception was so approachable and engaged in conversation with everyone, it was a really fantastic time at Wrest Point I highly recommend

Thank you!
J. W.
Exceptional Room Service, Exceptional meal at Revolving Restaurant. Staff are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We loved our stay including lovely views across the Bay.
We look forward to visiting Wrest Point again in the future...!!!
Five Stars all the way..! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
A. L.
Only stayed the one night reception staff were great extremely obliging in all manners of checking in views from our room over Hobart and river Derwent just fabulous. That's where the good times stopped. Only 2 restaurants open could not cater for the vast numbers dining in. Staff stated they were overwhelmed staff obviously need more training in work ethics customer relations and attitude
m. v.
Awesome couple of days yet again. Highly recommended
C. W.
Very comfortable and easy access to the casino. I stayed in the motel which is on the property and an easy short walk to the casino and everything it offers. The room had everything I needed and very relaxing. The room service staff were absolutely lovely. The casino itself is a great venue for a conference and the food options were perfect!
T. A.
Lovely views and nice food!
G. P.
Stayed for 2 nights and was very comfortable. Management Staff at the reception where fantastic and friendly. Great location on the Bay. We had water views which was very nice.
H. Y.
Absolutely nice view and very opened place for lunch or dinner. Enjoy gorgeous dinner in the oldest casino in the Australia. Casino is connected with cafe and every entrance. Well designed movement routes for customers. Many old gentle men and ladies were spending their time in a good mood.
N. D.
Amazing location, stayed at both the motel and Hotel. Motel was nice. Hotel had amazing views from both the mountain view and riverview rooms.
J. B.
Absolutely stunning room with beautiful view over the bay. Very helpful staff and great amenities.
We got the bay view penthouse or something like that and the room was stunning. Very comfortable bed and brand new TVs.
Room service was expensive but delicious and they have something like 4 different restaurants onsite. Plenty of options.
We were a bit disappointed with the buffet range but the food was delicious.
K. H.
Casino restaurants and bars. Covid conditions apply, especially masks worn properly. Live music free on Friday and Saturday nights.
S. R.
My stay was perfect. The stunning views, well appointed serviced rooms, clean facilities, great food and most importantly impeccable service from all staff. Brett the Duty Manager was a stand out because he remembered my name and he always had a smile he was warm, friendly, genuine and happy to serve guests. The property deserves to be 5 stars!
M. M.
Comfortable rooms. Clean, neat and tidy. Free parking on site was excellent, and frequent buses were available from the main road to town. The revolving restaurant within the building was not something we knew about but highly recommended, and patrons receive a discount on meals. Would highly recommend the bistro area as well, as it has a beautiful view right on the waterfront.
Unfortunately our experience was tarnished by loud noises audible through our wall overnight and in the early hours of the morning, which were presumably sounds from shower pipes. Staff were friendly, however did nothing to compensate us when we complained about the noise, which had woken us up and kept us awake.
G. C.
Nice and friendly staff, nothing is a bother also very comfortable place to stay with plenty of food options.
L. D.
Enjoyed tea at board walk Cafe and the concert was awesome
T. C.
Love coming here staff are friendly rooms comfy other guests friendly food was wonderful
S. P.
Great staff really friendly. Deluxe room was really modern and immaculately clean. Food was reasonably priced. Casino itself is aged but it looks like they're fixing that up. Enjoyed the Bird Cage bar, buffet and the casino. Great place to stay with great views. Make sure you stay in the tower though or upgrade
R. W.
Whilst the rooms are clean etc they are basically as old as the building so the decor is a bit run down.
They say 4 star but id suggest 3 maximum.
J. J.
Good location and great views. Rooms are a bit old school though, heating sounds like a clothes dryer and the tv kept dropping out of signal. Amenities are good otherwise and a few dining options. Free parking which is always nice! Been here twice and it's definitely worth considering.
D. S.
My wife and I just spent 3 relaxing nights on level 16 in the tower. The views were nothing short of amazing, overlooking the bay and the mountains. Our room 1609 was everything we expected and more. We enjoyed breakfast every morning in the revolving restaurant and found the food and the service to be first class. We will certainly be back to stay longer next time. Thank you to all at Wrest Point for a very pleasant experience.
D. R.
Had a good meal in the Bistro outside of the main building. The setting around the Casino and the view across the Derwent Estuary adds to the ambience.
M. M. S.
Lost roughly $65,000-$70,000 on the tables at the casino on my first night. Not their fault though, but I didn’t love that. The staff made me feel better which was very nice. I’ll come back in a month or so and try my luck again. Thanks Wrest Point.
W. C.
Very nice inside. Did take a long time to order due to the line but after that the meal came quick
G. F.
The room was lovely and the staff friendly and attentive however my wife and I were disappointed with a few things. The Chinese restaurant was closed to public without any notice to inform the public about it. We went to the reception and they had no idea what to do or how to get info. No Australia Day stuff around including the regatta just up the road. Breakfast was over priced for two ($50) with coffee on top of that. Almond milk available in the main dining area near reception but not downstairs for a late night coffee and they wanted to charge an extra $1 for a teabag for a stronger brew. Considering the cost of staying there and the additionals,, I would think twice about eating in the casino again. Stay yes. Eat no.
K. C.
The variety of the buffet was limited considering price per head. Heavy on stodgy vegetables. No lighter green vegetable dishes, limited salad options. Effectively fish and chips, or roast and roasted starchy vegetables , and a pasta dish. Pleasant enough, but forgettable.
P. L.
Service only average at best, for an international Hotel. Comunicating with some bar staff was difficult at times . ( Language difficulty's) . And NO I'm not intolerant!. Had to go to two separate bars before I could get a Cocktail, one said they don't do cocktails, and the other didn't quite know how to make it. ( Waited almost 10 min) . On the other hand, our meals and the service at the Boardwalk Cafe was excellent. The ambience was as usual great. Regards
R. B.
Very comfy room and super friendly and helpful staff. Was a shame more restaurants and cocktails weren't open at the time we stayed.
B. B.
Very helpful at reception desk
And rooms have been improved and updated
And most importantly bed was comfy
My only complaint was pillow was a little bit uncomfortable
F. B.
Great Food and well priced.. with a great atmosphere and great super friendly staff... Absolutely love this place will be definitely going back
P. L. C.
WP was so accomodating to our family over a 3 night stay. They helped us upgrade our rooms with ease and even provided additional things like a microwave, cheese knife and bathrobe 😂🤗. Thanks for first experience of Tassie unforgettable!
P. M.
Very clean, staff were welcoming, but I felt like I was just at anther pub.
The Caz needs WOW!! factor, and it was lacking severely.
E. E.
Harbour view room is great. The room was cosy and clean. Unfortunately, the breakfast was a drawback. Due to Covid there is no buffet which is understandable but the menue had limited options and the quality of food was not good. Cafe staff were not so freindly.
A. S.
Stayed for several days. Really nice place. It has several sections and we stayed in the waterside area so comments are for that area. Older but well maintained is what I would say. Fresh paint but carpet is getting a little frayed at the edges. Great view and we were on floor 1. Food was good. Conference facilities were good. Great gardens. Double beds not queen size. This may seem odd but the toilet was hard to use as it was so close to the wall. Free WiFi and I caned it. Recommended and I would stay again.
T. H. B.
The entertainment complex here is beautiful. The lift from the loading bay to the front of the stage is perfect. There's a great smoking area with lovely views. Plenty of parking. Nice accommodation. Close to good food and mini-golf.
A. W.
Group booking....everyone enjoyed food even the children
B. L.
Left my beer and last piece of toasted sandwich on my table while I replayed Keno when a table cleaner took my sandwich away but left my beer. Wasn’t going to wait another 20 minutes for a replacement. If they thought I had finished why leave a third of a stubbie of beer?!!!!

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights on my first ever trip to Hobart. Hotel is located in the upmarket suburb of Sandy Bay (about a $55 taxi ride from Hobart airport or $15 from Hobart CBD). The hotel rooms are part of the bigger casino complex, hence do not be surprised to find lot of non-hotel guests within the premises. However, all guest lifts to the rooms are secured and with casino security present at all times, the entire complex feels very safe.
On check-in, I was greeted by a very polite staff (D Wong) who explained me all the features of the complex and assisted me with other general information. I was even offered breakfast for two at a discounted price on check-in which I accepted. An extremely smooth and pleasant check-in experience indeed.
Very kind of management to have upgraded me to a tower room at no extra cost! My room on the 11th floor offered stunning views of the Derwent river. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable and had all the amenities one would expect of a property like Wrest Point. The hotel has a beautiful lawn to sit and relax and enjoy the stunning views of the river. Had my evening dinner in the Boardwalk Bistro and that was nice. Next evening had a buffet in another of the hotel's restaurant and it was very sumptuous too. Breakfast was average and that is perhaps one aspect the hotel can look into.
Location of the hotel is fantastic and public transport (bus) has frequent services to get to Hobart CBD. Bus stop is next to the hotel. There is also a convenience store located near the hotel. Add to that, the suburb of Sandy Bay is a great place for shopping of all kinds. Overall, a fantastic hotel located in a great part of Hobart with stunning views. Will be my first choice when I travel to Hobart again.
k. a.
Gave three stars as it was too crowded on weekend even though the service was courteous and pleasant. The ambience was good but despite all good intentions service suffers if the staff numbers are limited and stretched.
N. P.
Great little casino, too bad we lost our money 😫😫😫
c. h.
very pretty place. close to the city, comfortable room, very good breakfast. I recommend it, I would come back
J. S.
Not overly impressed with the service but is still a good venue. Revolving restaurant definitely worth going to and the other restaurants are reasonable as well. Has plenty of tables which is a positive if you want to have a punt. Be nice if the drink service was a bit more regular at the tables. Way too many pokies but hey that's a casino I guess. Not a place I will go back to unless going to the revolving restaurant.
J. L.
Highly recommend staying here, staff were very polite and helpful & great view from a room...
J.
Stayed here for 2 nights over the long weekend down from Melbourne. I thought it was a great place to stay. Comfy beds and the views of the Harbour were amazing. Pizza room service nice too. Loved the 70's curtains in the Rooms total blockout ...
The gaming area was nice and the extra 2 rooms make it a good size. I'd stay here again had a great time !
L. M.
Nice venue. Check in wasn't available till much later than advised. Complimentary drink tickets had limited availability within venue. Premises are very clean and most staff are nice. More entertainment in locations around the venue is highly advisable particularly for weekend - not everyone plays pokies!
A. S.
We stayed 2 nights at a "Harbour View" room. Everything from the staff, to the dinning even down the car park was amazing. My only complaint is the size of the room. We booked a room for 4 (myself, my wife and 2 kids), but after we checked into the room we realized that the room size is too small to have the extra bed unfolded without moving most of the furniture. We ultimately did not use the extra bed, but both kids crammed into a single bed.
M. T.
Clean hotel, good service. The hotel is outdated but very unique, the first casino in Australia apparently. Enjoyed our stay here
J. P.
We always enjoy a great night out here! Was amazed to see how the place has changed creating a spectacular dining area downstairs! Fingers crossed the Coffee shop and bird Cage will be next on the renovations to tie in with rest. See you again soon.
C. W.
This five star review is purely for Jesse the security guard from Forte. And the three cocktail makers in the bar. Even the one who used heaps of tobasco in the bloody mary. We had a great night thanks guys.
M. B.
Great place to stay, pool and spa was relaxing. Room was beautiful, great views. Room service was great, large serves and delicious. Customer service was very good from the reception to the restaurants. The only criticism I would have is the restocking of tea/coffee, and the housekeeping services.
T. T. T.
Great accomodation and great view of Hobart.
S. A. R.
Absolutely loved our stay at Wrest Point. The casino downstairs is busy but even though we were staying on level 1 there wasn’t any noise of trouble. The view from our room was just lovely (mountain view). Higher would’ve been better because we could see the car park in front of the mountains so avoid the lower levels in possible. Location is super convenient and being able to look out at the yachts in the morning and during sunset is just beautiful. Overall service was good. We didn’t eat any of our meals there so can’t comment on the food but there is a big buffet spread available downstairs. Comfortable beds. The bathroom was a bit smaller than I would’ve liked but overall manageable. Plenty of onsite parking and hotel staff to answer any of your questions. Would happily be back!
A. J.
We stayed here in early December and it was ok , but not exceptional for the price. Perhaps if enjoyed casinos our rating would be higher. I will say that the staff were always pleasant and for that alone the hotel should be commended.
M. A.
Took the Tower room with Harbour view. Beautiful view and good sized room. The overall ambience was good and 'most' of the staff was kind and humble. The lady at the reception had a little attitude problem and seemed like her work was a burden. Had dinner with my partner at the Point Revolving Restaurant one night and witnessed the most professional, kind and sweet staff in my life. The ambience, food, and service was awesome! It's worth every penny.
D. E.
It is a big venue that seems to have been joined together and added to over time, so it is a bit disjoint in areas and getting from A to B can be a but cumbersome. That said, the staff are excellent and gave a very friendly and competent vibe and everything went off well over the time I was there for a conference. The location is very good with fantastic views and with easy access. The room was very comfortable, overlooked the water, had its own access from the guest carpark and was clean and very functional. The good quality free wifi all over the venue was very good. Worth a visit to try out other rooms and facilities.

Fantastic staff. I was having a bad day and this lovely young man named Adrian, had a few words with me inbetween serving customers and made a bad day into a day I'm thankful for. Bless that beautiful soul. Give him a raise.
D. J.
It is located in a good place, easy to access the city and the iconic battery point and mount Wellington.
The accommodation in the motor home is ok. But to the price they charge it could be bettter....To start with the rooms we were given were level 4 and we had to carry our bags down the stairs... (No lifts).
It got really noisy at night (not sure if it's a regular occurrence) especially midnight, people were returning from the casino etc were noisy.
The food at the restaurant is a bit pricey.
How ever the rooms are nice, serviced daily and the toilets and bath were good.
F. a.
The hotel rooms with harbor views are nice, clean and spacious. Bathrooms are small but clean, showers could use an upgrade.
I would warn against the motel part however! It is a bit of a scary place: old mouldy smelling carpets on the floors, no elevators as you descend a number of levels down (if one has a few bags, it is not an easy exercise), overall old and depressing, leaving one feeling claustrophobic.
The reception staff is plesant and helpful but scarce, therefore checking in and out takes time...
The buffet breakfast is average and expensive for a breakfast, however the revolving restaurant at the top floor is worth experiencing! Great food, excellent service and nice views! Not a good idea if you suffer from motion sickness ! 😉
k. b.
Had a top time all the staff are fantastic and helpful no matter the need they will try and assit you ,very good meal up in the revolving restaurant and the staff there at your side help and service all up a top 2 days spent
V. G.
Every Tuesday @ 2pm the casino offers up free entertainment with a movie. Good variety, good viewing & a popular regular outing for many. I love going along. Plus, the meals are excellent value & the service is always polite & friendly. The casino is surrounded with breathtaking scenery.
G. Y.
Has a lot of activities and services with the casino and cafe both open til late. Staff were pretty helpful, nice too. Room was good and more spacious than I thought it would be, with great window views.
O. S.
Nice little casino with not much security and nobody checking your age. I was quite surprised by how many elderly people are visiting it. It must be a really safe and entertaining place. The hotel rooms are cheap comparatively to other Australian cities.
S. K.
Beautiful amenities, gorgeous view of the harbor. Shout out to our Porter Paul who went above and beyond for us on our very first night. We arrived very tired after 6 hours of driving, and he told us to sit back, relax and he would take care of everything. He was also kind enough to help us settle in and had such a high level of professionalism. This man deserves a raise! Thank you Paul.
d. b.
Food was good room was ok
A. L.
Interior within most parts of the hotel pretty dated but they're going through renovations at the moment so I'll give them that. Gaming area for the casino is pretty small but overall a good vibe. Staff are very friendly.
C. F.
Xmas lunch at the Boardwalk gallery. Very good.
S. P.
Good place, cozy and clean room. It was so warm, comfortable and calm even there has a casino.
A.
Friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms and awesome ocean viewe. Only thing I'd say is rooms need updating as they're looking a bit dated.
J. B.
Stayed in the "Water Edge" (cheaper) section of the Wrest Point complex. Excellent value for money. Beautiful views, comfy beds and parking included. 24 hour room service, indoor heated pool and spa open til 10pm, plus internal access to all the casino has to offer. Unfortunately the bathroom was quite dated and cramped, which is why we didn't give it 5 out of 5.
T. M.
We had a bad experience in your hotel. One of our members went to the restaurant for the breakfast at 7:30am that day, nobody served her. She thought that she could sit anywhere she liked. When all our members arrived, we started our …
A. C.
The food here isn't nearly as good as what you get in town, which is about a 30 minute walk away. The rooms are clean and comfortable but far from modern. If you need a dark room for sleep this place may not be the one for you as they shine massive floodlights at the building for most the night. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you are not here for the casino then consider other options.
J. M.
The Motor Inn room was the perfect simple, clean and affordable accommodation. Would definitely recommend. Has access to all the restaurants and features of the casino and a walk pas t shops and restaurants to the city centre for more options is definitely doable (Say 40min). Very happy we booked here and will be back when we return to Hobart.
M. W.
Good sports bar plenty of screens to watch football and horse races. Went to bistro for a meal pretty good and not badly priced.
S. H.
Staff are always wonderful at Wrest Point and HT Club and lots of lovely water views...just the pokie machines and TV screens everywhere with gambling stuff that ruins the experience :(
G. T.
Nice spacious room - with a lovely view.
T. F.
Stayed here for a couple of nights and I cant praise this place enough. Everything was perfect. Friendly helpful staff especially the porter Graham who was incredibly attentive. the room was immaculate, I cant wait to return, thanks for making our holiday!
S. R.
I staued there for 5 nights. The room is clean and well mentained, as well as other facilities in the hotel. I stayed at the water edge. I didn't use any of the facilities as I was out most of the time.
2 things I didn't like in this hotel.
I tried food only once as Room dinning in , I ordered lamb korma and it wasn't a dish that I enjoyed, doesn't taste fresh at all but more of frozen food, the rice wasn't even cooked enough!! The other thing is that there is no power point beside the bed!!! So being out all day long I needed to charge my mobile while I'm in bed but couldn't do that and had to get out of bed every 30 minutes to check if it's fully charged before setting the alarm and put the phone near me to dismiss the alarm next morning .
P. G.
We attended Boardwalk cafe and bistro. Meal was delicious staff were great. Bit of a wait to get order in. All round good time.
A. F.
I have mixed feelings about this place. We went here to watch a big UFC fight which they were showing. The bar they were showing it in was not set up to accommodate a crowd and people were left to rearrange furniture themselves. One of the TVs (the one most people could see) kept cutting out and pixelating which was very frustrating. One of the bar staff was verging on rude whilst the other was very nice. At the end of the day, it's a nice premises with a great view of the water and one of the only places in Hobart that showed the fight so I am happy but improvements could be made.
B. S.
Great service, meals were faultless, staff are so helpfull, its our second stay there and looking forward to the third, the tower rooms with river views are amazing.
E. C.
Good room though a little dated but a comfortable king size bed. Amazing view of Sandy Bay and we ate at the buffet in the casino. Very nice and the local animal entertainment outside the window made it even better. Enjoyed my stay very much.
T. A. F.
We had a water edge room for three nights and enjoyed the views, the friendly staff, and breakfasts. Great location to explore Hobart from, a few minutes drive to central Hobart (Salamanca, restaurants, museum, harbour etc) as well as a 30 minute drive up Kunanyi. Easy to do day trips a bit further afield such as Port Arthur, Bruny Island or the Huon Valley.
T. K.
Average food choices & meal. Others had the roast which was also ok. Concensus was: wouldn't go there again. The upstairs lunch which isn't on any more was very good. Sorry for the average report but that was the best I could give. I would have scored it 2& 1/2 if it was available.
S. R.
Had a pleasant stay here. Room was big with splendid views. Good service by housekeeping staff.

Food was great and so was the staff,

We booked the place for a night and they upgrade us to premium for free. room was clean and big. and the view from the windows was amazing. we had a good time there. also we parked the car in undercover area which was a good point.

All else is good except seems it's time to change their bed … the bed actually sink in (see the pic), can actually feel our body slanted to one side when sleep on it. Price wise not cheap tho … or perhaps it's norm in this area. Bonus go out last day of stay … can see super nice rainbow right from our room window … see pic

Great place to stay.. Great entertainment.. Friendly staff.. Great amenities.. Great place for kids.. If you like to gamble also a great place.. We stayed in the tower.. Brilliant views of the mountain and harbour.. Complimentary breakfast.. Just a lovely up scale place that welcomes families..

Buffet lunch at the Casino. Staff were lovely. Cost of buffet 2650 per person. Reasonable price good was well presented and tasty Good variety of mains and deserts. Chocolate fountain was with both white and brown chocolates

The position on the bay is great - lovely views from the lounge bar.
Room small but facilities good - compact modern bathroom.
We were in a room in the "Motel" building next to the main road, so no view. The …

The rooms are nice and modern. The bed super comfortable and the pillows are amazing... but for the $360 price tag I would have expected the rooms to be immaculate. There was a huge amount of dust on top of the picture frames, ran my finger across it and about a 5 cent piece of dust accumulated on my finger tip... there was dust on top of the bed head. There was hair in the bathroom draw. There was a huge amount of build up of dust balls in the shower vent. There was dry grime build up on the shower taps and the shower screen wasn't wiped properly as there was soap Mark's. I didn't bother complaining at the service desk as I had to wait 15 minutes to check out and by that stage I was too tired to deal with it...

Sad that Wrest point was closed for renovations. Maybe next time.
G. S.
Friendly staff great views from room, bar & bistro, food was great drinks were cold and price was reasonable, from Brissie so whether was a bit chilly, room was comfortable we had king suit on the 12th floor over looking the river. Breakfast on the top floor, revolving restaurant, food amazing, 360 degree view spectacular whilst having breakfast, the 11am check out was refreshing, not such a rush. Totally recommend this Hotel/ casino to all.
P. C.
Nice atmosphere, range of food and very pleasant staff.
J. C.
The service was great. The room was old and outdated. The sofa was so old they couldn't get the sofa bed out. It took 3 people. They finally got it out but the mattress was thin and old so they supplied a rollaway bed instead. The view was fantastic. I've stayed at the hotel many times and would recommend the tower rooms.
J. T.
Went to a lovely art exhibition hosted by the rotary club. Forgot how nice the boardwalk area of the hotel is. And it's great that they showcase community projects like this. The artwork was stunning, and a joy to look over
R.
Such a nice relaxing place, they have done very well with the new boardwalk area with the new bars and restaurants. You must try out the revolving restaurant at the top of the building. Priceless views of beautiful Hobart city and the water.
M.
It is really beautiful when seen from the outside at night. The high tea I had once was pretty good, but they have a coffee shop with nice desserts in here that isn't kid-friendly as the area is 18+. Otherwise I think this place is also really good for the anime convention each year and is a good place to wander about.
N. D.
Revolving Restaurant - A panorama of Hobart coupled with sumptious food and great service is an experience you won't forget. You just dine and everything will be taken care off.
C. T.
Great location and a good walk from the markets on the weekend.
The interior feels a little dated but the staff are super friendly and helpful.

We had a few hours to kill and as most tourists do, found ourselves at Wrest Point, looking to slap away a little time.
The poker machines were all new and linked and paid often enough to keep me interested. The card system that they use now makes moving money between machines easy, as well as cashing out totally. I think I had $4 on my card at the end, which I cashed from the cashier.
In terms of a place to eat, the bistro wasn't of much interest to us having eaten cheap and nasty for a few days already, so we went looking for the Chinese restaurant... which turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
Great staff, great food and a beautiful view. Only problem is you need to climb a whole bunch of stairs and one of our party had really bad arthritis in the knees making the ascent painful - something we numbed with a well selected bottle of white.

I have found my favourite corner in Hobart- My #roomwithaview
Thank you @wrestpoint for this amazing stay.
From the stunning mountain views, swim & spas, amazing cafes, casino and to only revolving restaurant in Hobart, Wrestpoint has it all to make your stay wonderful at Hobart.
R. M. P.
We enjoy the Boardwalk for coffee or a quick meal - Wrest Point is more than just poker machines!
W. C.
Enjoyed a lovely roast lunch in a beautiful spot.
R.
Fantastic service and staff catered to your every need. Had a phenomenal evening enjoying the revolving view with tasmanian sourced food and fine wine
M. G.
I had a great 3 course meal here for $90. Everything I ordered was on point. I even got an extra dessert on the house and "happy birthday" sung to me by staff, as I was celebrating my birthday with my family. Plates are quite small however. It is quite pricey for the amount of food, but worth it for the indulgence, view, and professional service! Only real downfall was one plate of food we received (fish & squid) was appallingly bare, and something may have been wrong with the squid as the person who had it later vomited it up that night. All in all, it was a pleasant evening with mostly great food, entertainment (food cooked in front if you), and wonderful service.
R. S.
Excellent service. Nothing is a problem. They are there for their to help in anyway. All staff are friendly and courteous. The food is beautiful. Could not fault them.
F. T.
We are satisfied with our stay at Wrest Point. Parking was complimentary and good views outside of our room. We stayed in Water Edge King Room. It's off the main hotel, a secluded old wing. The lobby and room smelt musky and our room's interior design could be better. Blue tiles, green carpet, orange curtains? The beds were comfortable. If you mind the oldness of this place, perhaps opt for the tower rooms.
r. b.
It was ok but nothing like what I experienced 40+ years ago it looked small no atmosphere compared to others places staff were very friendly.
M. H.
We have stayed here a number of times and it keeps getting better, room rates are the best in Hobart and location is fantastic easy free under cover parking.
M. H.
Attended a professional reunion dinner at the casino. The room was hard to find and not signposted for the event. When we did arrive, it was a strangely configured room with a fairly low ceiling. The low ceiling made the room noisy because of the high level of conversation. The meals were great, the wines ok, the bar staff very friendly, the serving staff not so friendly, no smiles, just perfunctory responses when spoken to.
A. N.
Build in the 70s of last century and still looks like. However, only little worn out like the carpet in the room. But anything else is fine. Definitely worth the money and don't forget to stop by at the revolving restaurant on the 17t floor
S.
Huge hotel beautiful views and very modern rooms with cool features. Has all you can ask for in a hotel car rentals, beauty parlour, gym, pool. A few different restaurants heaps of gaming cheap rooms but you pay with the expensive ( but amazing) food the Asain restaurant is highly recommended if you have money to spend that is
R. S.
We booked a king bedroom with harbor view. The whole room just had been renovated. Great pillow range. Nespresso coffee machine complementary. Amazing view from the 12th floor. Had breakfast in the revolving restaurant (up class breakfast: $38 per people) however no real pressed fresh juice. Cooked breakfast was good. Book on their website not on booking you get a -20% discount if you book late. Very good staff.
Highly recommend.

Wrest Point is basically the only Casino in Hobart and my parents are frequents here such that one of them is a VIP already. I used to come here basically at least twice a day during uni because I was able to get a food voucher from either my parents or friends of my parents or relatives. I came by here recently again so I decided to give a review.
The casino is situated in a blue chip area where all the wealthy people live and it's just by the water. This allows them to easily sell their 4.5 star rating hotel from about $300 which you can probably get for -$100 if you're a VIP member. There is a VIP section that can be entered on the ground floor which entitles you get very discounted food and free drinks with daily non alcoholic drink vouchers. VIP members are also entitled to allow one non VIP person access into the area with them. You can also play on the tennis courts if you've reached a certain reward level.
You can get access to free hot chocolate and coffee at the machines although I'm not sure if that's been changed to allow only VIP members. You can get free soft drinks if you're playing at a slot machine. You can get free food vouchers around $10 for each member per day as well which means you can pretty much spend your whole day here without leaving.
There is a buffet here which is almost $40 per head which puts it at probably the most expensive all you can eat place that's not really a fine dining that I've ever been to. VIP members can probably get this down to around $26 for dinner as they no longer do lunch for the lower price. My suggestion is to bring back the lunch option and this will encourage more foot traffic.
Even if there is another casino in Tasmania, I would say it's pretty difficult to be competitive as many casinos in other states don't even offer the incentives this one offers to members and non-members. This casino have really sticky customer base and will be hard to beat. That being said, the next casino can leverage a tech first approach to reduce opex and offer more competitive reward system. As the son who reaped these benefits over the year, it's been great. I highly recommend this place to get a membership if it's your interest. I don't play here at all and speaking purely from experience.

Beautiful hotel. Staff were amazing. Food was great. Will be going back again
L. C.
I cannot rate this hotel highly enough - what a wonderful experience. Not only did the lovely staff at reception let us check in early due to arriving with a toddler, but they upgraded our room so that we could check in right away. The staff have all been so welcoming, friendly and accomodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hotel is beautiful. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit. Thank you to the wonderful staff!
J.
The theme is 1970s and outdated even though the cleanliness is alright. This place has a lot of potential of making money with more shops, bar and restaurants if only the developer wanted to refurbish the whole thing, including a better entrance for pedestrian. From the outside it looks like there is nothing inside. Maybe they should take a look at Melbourne's Crown Casino.
S. L.
Went to the Coffee Shop Buffet for Christmas lunch. A wide range of desserts but limited choices for the main meal, especially for those who don't eat meat. Definitely not worth the price! However, the staff were all lovely and did their best, to the point where some looked exhausted by the end of it all. Over all, not terrible, but for Christmas? Eh.
N. L.
Room service food was awesome. Room was clean and comfy - definitely will be staying here again
K. C.
Hotel refurb so lots of walking around different hallways.
The deluxe hotel room are nice.

Only stayed one night but we will be going back.Check in was very friendly and welcoming in no time we had our key And up to our room. We stayed in a king room harbour view for $240 Aud. The room itself was dated but extremity comfy and clean. The room 1106 was in the tower 11 th floor the view was Wonderful over the calm waters and leisure craft that use the bay.
the room was spacious, the king bed was very comfortable with luxurious linens Which made for a great nights sleep.
The toiletries were also quality and the soap divine. Buffet breakfast was included in the price and they gave us the best one yet. The choices were incredible they thought of everything all fresh and cooked to perfection. Check out was fast and pleasant the staff were very helpful and professional. It was value for money and I was extremely happy with the whole experience.
C. M.
Staff are lovely. Bread and main courses delicious. Brownie, not a brownie. Flat and dry, not to mention small portion for the price. Love the booths. Will Go again.
M. M.
We dropped by with only a week notice and everyone was so hospitable. Highlight was definitely Danny. Was a wonderful welcoming start and a definitely gentlemen!
Unfortunately the Tower rooms no longer have bathtubs, sincerely wished for that, but the newly renovated rooms in the Tower are lovely, neat, tidy. The bathrooms are a little small but manageable. The room also felt small and was enough for couples or singles.
The bathrobes were a lovely, warm, soft touch and we loved it!
The tower has mesmerising views!! Carpark is huge!
The rotating restaurant is amazing but they can get busy at breakfast and I have needed to wait a few times. The food is wonderful though and highly recommend that everyone gets the breakfast option everytime!!
Mt Wellington views are heavenly, but Sandy Bay is very quiet and not always engaging - nothing much around unless you walk up to Coles and the nearest shops.
Love the wonderful toiletries.
L. C.
The buffet is certainly not up to casino standards. Roast meat and vegetables and were almost cold the salads we're not great. No everyday salad with tomato etc, or simple boiled eggs. The only lettuce salad was slightly limp and consisted of red green and yellow capsicum, with a bit of cucumber. Not everyone eats capsicum! The "boxed" fish was cold and the chips were just warm, and what's with pizza at a casino buffet? I could have gone to the local fish and chip shop for both of those! We were saved by the dessert bar which was delicious. The coffee machine was hopeless and made a terrible cappuccino which was replaced by one made by the staff. Not in a rush to be going back here!
K. B.
Taswegians are the best, when it comes to friendly hospitality. Fabulous waterfront location. The best desserts, yummy and their house wine's are all Made In Tasmania.
G. N.
This casino is fantastic in prices for meals and all round, it is a truly great experience everytime! The buffet especially is well priced, you receive great service at any dining experience there and the casino is wheelchair accessible. There is unlimited amount of carparks and there is lots of options all within the one place! Nothing to complain about at all
M. L.
Stayed with my mother but was a fiasco with room but we were going to be upgraded, unfortunately I am a little oldto be sharing a bed with my dear old mum. But even with the mix up the staff were great and along with us had a great sense of humour.
K. S.
Great location and we stayed in the Riverside Harbour room. Good view but the room is small and pokish, the bathroom is tiny and the toilet is oddly situated. The casino was good fun and breakfast buffet was beautiful.
S. W.
We booked a 4 night stay to see the highlights of Hobart. Our room was comfortable with lovely views of the Derwent River. Breakfast in the revolving restaurant was outstanding. Unfortunately service at the reception desk was appalling, we were locked out of our room when both card keys failed to work. There was a shuttle bus waiting to take us to Bruny Island. That bus was on a very tight schedule and unable to wait for people who were not on time. It took 4 attempts and half an hour for us to gain access to our room. On each occasion we had to wait for elevators to travel 11 floors to reception. Only after our insistence did the "supervisor" come with us to the room and unlocked the door. Our situation was given very low priority, clearly customer service is seriously lacking.
A. B.
good customer service. very helpful.
C. B.
Friendly staff and fast service. The food is reasonably priced and absolutely 5 star quality. Where we ate was the Boardwalk end of Wrest Point Casino. Superb views looking out over the River Derwent.
C. G.
I quite like the new game area - Boardwalk - though an outer window or two would have been good.
The dress code seems to have gone by the wayside - lots of thongs and sneakers about.
Are shorts acceptable? I can't remember.
Not very tidy anyway
M. M.
Great riverside cafe dining.
D. G.
We stayed twice in this hotel in the last couple of weeks. Specious and very clean rooms and even the hotels feels a bit old it doesn’t feel that is outdated. Obviously well maintained and looked after. Great buffet breakfast with a lot of options.
R. L.
Love it but could win more money 😜
J. H.
Excellent service and food. Don't expect to be stuffed but you won't go away hungry either. It was our wedding night and we were greeted very enthusiasticly and given complimentary drinks.
E. D.
Husband disappointed with service of one staff member in riverview cafe. (Didn't have a members card & system not explained) other customers queue jumped even though he was "next in line". Supervisor quickly directed me to service counter to get a replacement card (mine at home). Bar staff next to Tasman room were excellent. Enjoyed the show in Tasman room. Rest rooms kept to high standard.
T. M.
Lovely staff. Nice views. Rooms are clean and bed is really comfy. Played the tables in the casino and my husband bought me a glass of coke. It was the mixer behind the bar and was flat. Rude female bartender refused to give me a can of coke and asked her T/L and I had to pay an extra amount. Damn wish I hadnt put that last few dollars into the machines and on the tables if I knew there was such a drama about coke cola!!
S. G.
Great views of Sandy Bay. The second time we stayed was far nicer and we had a suite that was recently refurbished at the time (2019). The revolving restaurant is a great experience and the food delicious. The staff were very friendly throughout.
B. R.
Lovely bed view and restaurant staff lovely
J. A.
Room was great but the double bed was two single pushed together. View was great over the Hobart harbour from level 15. Food was ok from the casino Cafe, nothing special but good enough. Recommend the pork. Overall great night stay in Hobart.
R. F.
We stayed in the water's edge section as part of the Sweet Adelines Australia convention. I was really impressed with how good the venue was for this big event, despite many of the facilities being rendered unusable from storms the week before. Well done wrest point staff! The rooms themselves were good but there was often a sense of mustiness and mold, which detracts from the experience when you're exploring the venue and didn't help us sleep
G. O.
A+ Had alot of fun there. Room was reasonable with incredible views. food and drink expensive
N. F.
Solid conference venue... the food could use a little more imagination, and they should make coffee and tea available all day rather than only a small 30 min interval. Otherwise well appointed and attentive staff...
1. M. V.
Had High Tea with friends who were visiting from interstate and overseas. Such a lovely relaxed way to spend an afternoon. The food was excellent and the service amazing. Nothing was too much. I would definitely high tea here again
C. B.
Rooms are clean but quite dated. If nothing changes soon, they could be advertised as 'retro'. Facilities and venues are much the same. It can be a bit of a rabbit warren to find your way around but there is a fair range of bars and eateries. Staff can be hit and miss which I guess is to be expected with such a large workforce. Overall it is fine but nothing outstanding.
B. C.
Really nice place to stay with a great view. Staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and nothing you asked for was a chore, more than happy to serve. Will stay here again if we come back to Hobart
A. U.
Amazing views and BEST SERVICE ever. We arrived slightly before check-in time and as room we booked was busy we were upgraded to better suit with no extra costs. Thank you so much!
Very beautiful place with lots of felicities and events including art.
Definitely come back.
O. T.
Best value and view hotel stayed in Hobart.
Full facility, the harbour view room is so good value while we stayed at MACQ01 , nearly $200more a night but the view is not as good as wrest point.
Very nice and clean and modern inside.
J. G.
Wonderful view over the bay from Waters edge King room. Good size room a short walk to casino entrance
R. S.
Nice place. Clean room and friendly staff. It's a bit out of town, so if you want to get in to town you will have a good half hour walk or take a taxi. There is also a bus and it's cheap and quick.
J. H.
For its age wrest point has maintained the residency standards witty the classical style spacious rooms, comfort and cleanliness. The cafe's may Ned done modernising in atmosphere and food, I was disappointed when I wanted the fish and chips that the fish read frozen, for any Tasmanian venue whether shall or big out should be fresh fish. Also the menus are old fashioned especially the breakfast buffet was fairly basic
R. H.
Casino hotel with 3 half to 5 star rooms. Casino table game open till 2am, Fri and Sat open till 4am. Is State ruling. Many slot machine, table game like roulette, black jack and bacarrat. Breakfast area has a beautiful view. Breakfast has variety and serve coffee and juice.
H. W.
For a four star hotel it's pretty average for the price you pay per night. We stayed at the waterside building which was quite dated. The mattresses were clearly quite old as one side was extremely sagging. We raised this with reception and the first guy was quite unhelpful even going to the point of lying that the mattresses were new. Besides being a casino hotel and relatively closeness to Central Hobart you're likely to have a better experience elsewhere for the price with the expectations that come with a 4 star rating
A. L.
One of the best hotels in Hobart. I stayed here for 2 Amazing nights. It Is a really nice hotel with lots of attractions. Bar areas, restaurants and room service provided. Casino as well. There Is a spa, a Gym and a swimming pool in the building ready to use. The room i stayed was comfortable with everything I needed. If you're planning to stay in Hobart for a reasonable 4 star hotel price, try Wrest Point! Staff is very friendly, especially Denny the receptionist Who checked me in with a big smile and a funny Thank You attitude ahah.
J. S.
Great views and a fantastic entertainment venue. Caters for all ages and is wheelchair and disability friendly. Large range of restaurants, affordable accommodation, room service, valet parking, corporate and function facilities with entertainment hall showcasing high profile acts. Casino and gaming machines as well.
A.
Lovely old hotel, maintained well. We stayed in the waterfront suites on the side.
Definitely enjoyed the view of the water, so calming. 1st floor worth it!
D. M.
We were here last year where today A year ago I proposed to my fiance on the river banks with the beautiful back drop of the casino behind me. We have travelled from Launceston to relive that a year later. Was just beautiful. Went and had a. Coffee at the cafe just perfect :) the venue is clean, stylish and beautifully surroundings :) the pokie area staff super friendly :) thank you for giving us an amazing night :) will definitely be back :)
T. P.
It's was a long time that I have been in the casino
A. S.
Had an awesome stay at Wrest Point. Staff are really polite, and always helpful. Will recommend to my friends and family...
M. M.
View was great , service is ok not very cooperative, ask them for an extra hour to stay because infant was sleeping and they asked straight away for $20 . Overall it was an okay facility.
C. P.
If in Hobart worth dropping in for a look around, great views over the marina and towards Tasman bridge. The food in the buffet and cafe very nice and great value. A toasted sandwich served with chips and salad and a cappuccino cost me $16.50. The staff provide good service but need to be a bit more welcoming and learn how to smile
J. T.
I would like to say that Marie Jones At Soulful Infusions Day Spa is well worth a visit. This is the most welcoming, warm and comfortable place to go. Marie is such a beautiful person who makes you feel wonderful.
This business is a real asset to the casino. I will be going next time.
Thank you Marie
F. S.
We had an amazing experience.
R. H.
Casino was nice, just not my thing.
M. S.
Have seen plenty of great concerts here! Staff are generally friendly, nice views from most areas & the place has a really nice atmosphere about it. Parking can be hard to find at times, but other than that it's all good.
T. E.
Comfortable with great attentive staff but very dated. Gorgeous views of the harbour if you get the right room and the sun rises over the water. Pool and spa are small, but enough to relax in, certainly don't expect to be doing lengths in the pool! Gym is adequate. Walking into main town of Hobart takes 30 minutes at a good pace.
T. T.
Stayed at Wrest Point in a suite. Beautiful views, every comfort including high quality loose leaf tea and tea pot, coffee plunger and pod machine. Lovely big spa. Service came up to unfold extra bed and we asked for several items and nothing was too hard.
F. J.
Very professional and kind management that really understand customers situations. I booked a room with the hotel and my flight to Hobart got canceled due to weather condition , however the hotel kindly understood the situation was out of my control and canceled my booking for free. For my next stay in Hobart, I'll stay with the hotel! Helping customers in frustrated situations shows how professional you are and promote good behaviour in the community. Thanks.
T. R.
Excellent place to stay in Hobart. Comfortable rooms with great views and all you need to make your stay enjoyable (would be even better if shower gel was provided!). Plenty to do and see in the area and there is a great choice of eateries on site. The garden is beautifully kept and all the staff are welcoming, polite and helpful. The gift shop is well stocked and the prices are surprisingly reasonable compared with some. If i can ever manage another trip to Tasmania and Hobart, Wrest Point would be my choice to stay.
J. Y.
Stayed one night. Great service. View was amazing. Lovely and friendly staff. Made our stay worthwhile.😀
T. A.
Magnificent facility with world-class service. Spent the week here and was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and attention to detail shown by the establishment.
A number of restaurants to choose from with a huge selection so no matter what your dietary preference, there will be somewhere to tickle your tastebuds.
There are numerous bars with a wide array to choose from whatever your favourite may be.
Also with a range of varying sizes of conference rooms for all different types of organisations so regardless of how big your business is, there will be something to suit your needs and I'm absolutely certain the team at Wrest Point will be able to accommodate.
Cannot express how enjoyable it was and if I'm ever back in Hobart I will definitely be considering staying here! Take a bow team, you deserve it😁
P. G.
The Boardwalk dining experience was reminiscent of the Coles Caffeteria line up. Not a fan however there was a lovely genre of oldies happy to get their cheap meal and continue on to the adjacent pokies with their Zimmer frames and pension in hand.
J. F.
Excellent reception staff, the rooms are lovely ours looked over a marina and back to Hobart CBD... Very pretty day or night. Restaurant great food though limited for vegetarian and what was on offer (V) a bit pedestrian but with friendly service and value for money with stunning views its a 'go to' even if you're not a guest.
S. K.
I sat and had a few beers overlooking the Derwent river and the views were fabulous and to top it off a cruise ship sailed past.
Just remember to go to the service desk when you get there and get a rewards card cause with that free card you will get $5 drinks and discounted meals. A must for anyone
P. S.
The rooms are cute and clean. The feeling of walking into a 70's Vegas hotel room is amusing. The staff are lovely. Only 1 thing annoyed me the new TV's in the rooms have a bright blue light on them while in standby which lights up the room well when trying to sleep.
N. C.
Ate at the boardwalk bistro /restaurant. Good quick service. Well priced meals. We had fish and chips with salad. Very nice.
D. T.
Room was great and clean, the view was even better. Great value and free parking was a plus. But the biggest reason for the 5 star was Danny Wong from the reception.
I made a booking mistake from a 3rd party site that would normally result to me making an extra day of booking or another form of expensive rebooking. Danny made sure we had a room on the right dates first and allowed me to deal with the 3rd party booking site later on. It made our day after a long drive from Launceston. Thanks again.
J. W.
Excellent stay, shame big buffet room is closed, bit of a queue for meals but book ahead if your staying.
M. W.
Had 2 nights here. Great place. food was amazing... staff were so helpful. Nothing was a problem .. Lots of nice little bars so sit at at the end of the day to relax. Pool and spa very relaxing. You have to do this at least once
A. O.
Nice place to go to. The experience is surreal; the view is breathtaking; the food is excellent. I recommend.
H. L.
Great room with a good view and great receptionists
R. H.
Had a family Christmas lunch in the Tasman room. Beautiful buffet lunch. Lovely staff and atmosphere. I highly recommend you take Christmas day off next year and treat yourself to a day off.
