M. D.Well it was very hard to leave here! Lovely host and very light, calm and welcoming cottage. Beautifully furnished. We spent a good deal of our time just gazing out the window - the scenery was lovely. Definitely a place to stay!

B. L.Fantastic amenities, clean, spacious with oil painting views. The surrounding districts are limited for kids activities and a number of shops are closed on Tuesday, Wednesday. Probably a place for the person, family who enjoy isolation.
N. S.Halcyon cottage is the most amazing Airbnb I've stayed in Victoria! Jacqui is a wonderful host and the apartment itself is well appointed with magical views. The fireplace, two baths, leather couches, quality appliances and the million dollar view make this a MUST for any occasion. Highly recommended!
J.My family and I stayed at Halcyon Cottage Retreat over a long weekend to celebrate a special occasion and it will always hold a special place in our hearts - the memories which were created there are priceless. The house is so neat, tidy and comfortable and we didn’t leave it for the 3 days we were there! The view especially is stunning and we enjoyed many breakfasts as a family, overlooking the Strzelecki ranges - so beautiful! Thank you to Jacqui and her family for creating a magical experience for all of us, we will see you again next time. Would highly recommend for a family getaway, there is something special about Halcyon Cottage Retreat in that it brings everyone closer together.

V.After being in desperate need of a break from the "big smoke" and the everyday rigours of running our business back in Melbourne, our friendly hosts at Halcyon Cottage Retreat provided us with the perfect foil - enchanting us with amazing views of rolling countryside, cattle grazing a stones throw from our balcony and an absolute abundance of birdlife. The two-person indoor bath (yes, there is also an outside bath!), was a real treat - bottle of wine by candle light, watching the mist roll in over the hills - heaven. This newly renovated, private cottage is exceptionally well appointed and I'm sure would please the most fastidious of guests, including those wishing to exercise their cooking skills. After 3 days we left with batteries fully charged, the short drive back to suburbia ensuring that the peace and tranquillity of Halcyon remained with us for many days. Am planning return visit!
S. M.We visited this place for Christmas and it was amazing the staff (cat and dog included) are just so friendly!! It's amazing the views alone are worth the stay, the cottage is modern bus has a very homely feel about it which makes it feel like home!
