J. Y.Pretty decent as a budget accommodation for 2 days. It was well equipped ( although no toothbrushes). I never really used a body soap in bar form so this was my first experience with it at this place. The room was pretty spacious but nothing extravagant.
Location wise, it's near to a gas/petrol station with a selection of food (& open 24 hours) and a Macdonalds. The staff were friendly as well.
Would stay again if I'm staying over for a quick stay in Melbourne again
K. J.Extremely friendly staff. Clean rooms and close proximity to the airport. Jay at reception was very helpful and even booked my taxi for the airport early next morning. Only draw back... does not have a lift, so carrying your 30kg bag up the stairs is a headache.

A. A.Reception person was very friendly. The hotel is walkable to the airport around 500-600 meters. They had a small area where we had our dinner (we brought ours) and coffee was free. Place was quite and clean. Rooms were very small but clean. Overall good place for the budget.

L.I stay here almost every time I fly out of Melbourne Airport. It's cheap, within walking distance of maccas and the terminals, and the rooms, while, very small are comfortable for one night. You can leave your car there while you are travelling too. We parked there for 3 day and it was $30. Definitely recommend staying at the Ibis.

S. G. (. W.Helpful service and exceedingly friendly staff and management. Am moving apartments within Melbourne and got stuck amid the pandemic, needing a few nights of last-minute accommodation. Don, the manager, was greatly accommodating (pardon the pun) and efficient during this challenging lockdown. He and his wife were a real pleasure to deal with. The room was basic, but clean and quiet. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. I couldn’t be more grateful. As long as you are able to climb a small flight of stairs, this hotel is a very formidable value, given its proximity to the airport terminals. No kitchen in the hotel, but plenty of restaurants and takeaways in the area that deliver. Also a Maccas next door.
W. S.The hotel does the limited job it sets out to do efficiently, but it is a budget hotel and the ambience is Spartan. It's within walking distance of Terminal 2 and the stretch is fairly well signposted. Reception is very courteous, but seems to close at 10 pm, so check arrangements if arriving late (keys can be left in box for early checkout). Rooms are basic, but very clean and fairly quiet. No lift, so there could be an issue with heavy baggage on stairs - also with light under the door from the corridor if you're sensitive. I cannot comment on the breakfast as I left early. Overall, this is a convenient, unfussy and inexpensive alternative for those early departures, but is not (and does not purport to be) luxurious or very 'characterful' - I'd have given it 3.5 stars if I could.

Rooms are small, but very clean and quiet, there was no road or airport noise at all, and the air conditioning was unobtrusive as well. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. Check in was fast and easy, and Don was very helpful and friendly when I spoke to him on the phone while booking. My only complaint is that while there was a shelf on both sides of the double bed, I couldn't find any power points near the bed.

The only two things that I feel need to be improved on, is the cleanless as there seemed be alot of dust found in my room. C. J.Staff are super friendly and helpful. Hotel is basic but just what is needed if you need something well priced and within walking distance to your terminal. They have luggage carts to make it easier to get across to the airport, if needed. You do need to carry your bags up the stairs if your room is on an upper level.
J. T.I have read through some of the reviews for this motel and honestly what do you expect. I have paid a very reasonable price for a very clean and well presented room. It has tea and coffee facilities as well as a fridge. Towels and toiletries. Yes it is small but its not meant for ballroom dancing!
It's time people started complimenting instead of whinging all the time. The staff went out of their way to help me and I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Well done to all at the IBIS! Thank you for your help and consideration.
J. W.My wife and I travelled with our elderly parents and stayed here in early Dec 2018 for one night.
While this hotel is within walking distance from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport (as well as Qantas Terminal), it is not accessible for wheelchairs and also prams carrying young infants. So it was a nightmare getting here from the airport. I would not recommend if you have elderly who have difficulty walking, or very young children. Also a challenge if you have many luggages with you.
Nonetheless, it serves its purpose as a transit sleepover, and the staff was kind enough to check us in past midnight. We had one dirty towel but there wasn't anyone to inform / request for a fresh towel at that time of the night.
In short, this place is great if you are a couple / solo traveller looking for a short transit and conscious of budget. Otherwise, I would recommend another nearby hotel.
M. R.Perfectly fine budget hotel; very convenient for an overnight layover as it's a quick walk down a well-lit path from the terminal, and they have after-hours check in and check out. Much nicer than sleeping on an airport bench.
R. B.The hotel is certainly 'budget'..... The rooms are miniscule and tired. However it was clean and very quiet. The air con worked silently and I slept. For the price I can't complain. There is a Macca's nearby but not much else.

S. L.The hotel was tucked away at one corner of the airport, and is about 15 minutes walk from the domestic terminal. The building is clean and pleasant, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The room layout is uncommon, having the shower and latrine near the entrance, and the basin next to the window on the opposite side of the room. The bed is just right and the pillows are too soft. As it was out of the way, the best way to the city is via Uber.
覃.Very basic economy hotel, it does what it does for its price. Location not bad, 5-8 mins walk from T2, T1, or 10-12 mins walk from T4. The biggest draw back is no lift inside, try to request ground floor room in your reservation if carrying a lot of heavy cases. Sound proof is not very good, could gear the traffic if your room is facing the highway.
J. K.Room was what you would expect from a budget hotel, pretty basic. Bed was comfy enough, appliances looked relatively, heater/air con was a nice treat. Everything was clean and tidy. Location is great if you are flying into Melbourne for a 1 or 2 night stay and dont plan on being in the hotel very often, there are limited things to do in the area. Breakfast is made easier by McDonalds (2 minute walk) probably a better option then the $9 continental breakfast. All in all, good place stay for a night, service is good, checking in and out is easy, before and after business hours

P. L.Tiny but spotless rooms in this low cost hotel. It's fine to walk from the airport (you turn left and follow the signs) but if you wander and get lost, there is a freeway to cross. So don't do that. The evening sun shone in really strongly, but the blind was an effective blackout. We had to leave the air conditioning on, just to stop the room getting stuffy. McDonald's and the petrol station (with convenience store) are right nearby. There is tea and coffee. Breakfast is $9 extra, and there are vending machines for snacks. Our room had a fridge, and there is a communal one too.

Things can go wrong, it's how they are dealt with that matters. The hotel is decent for the price, not part of a luxury vacation, but certainly servicable, especially if you just need somewhere cheap overnight to catch an early flight, which is why I use it.

T. M.I stayed in the nice hotel for the night before flying out in the morning. I arrived very late, but the staff were very helpful and checked me straight in. You get what you pay for. The penalty for the ground floor room is that it is very noisy.
