Pretty much your average country pub. One of the dining rooms is really nice with exposed brick, the other is neat and well maintained but pretty average. A decent choice of beers on tap, including local beers. The food is good pub food with large servings but the menu is somewhat limited.

Tonight was our first venture out to indoor dining in a looong time. So pleased to find what we can now consider to be our “local”.. even if it is 40 mins up the road. Staff were friendly, polite, gracious. Food - generous, well presented, tasty. Wine - delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the music added to this, complementing (instead of drowning out) our conversation. We were booked in the back dining room, complete with table service, window with a view, and plenty of space between patrons. The best part was how respectfully the venue manages covid safe protocols. All staff wear masks properly over mouth and nose, checkins are checked, spacing ensured. At the end of it all, staff even rescued the handbag left behind after a few too many wines! Thank you for making our Friday night after a long, hard week. So glad we went north instead of south.

The view from the bistro was picturesque, Parma and chips I had was delicious and a decent size so nice and filling. My wife had a vege lasagne which she also enjoyed (however it wasn't fully cooked through in the middle but she still liked her meal). A few beers available to choose from including several from Holgate aswell as Pirate Life Pale on tap. Would go back again for sure.

Go Monday’s, best value and tasting Parmas around. $15 with chips and salad. Not just your run of the mill plain either. Aussie, Mexican, Italian, Plain and more, too many to remember. Full menu of other stuff too, all looked good as it was carried out. Not your everyday pre bought, squashed flat tasteless Parmas. Thick, ours were huge, well cooked, juicy and tasty. It’s a pub, so washed down with a couple of schooners of their Tap pale ale. Great prompt service topped it off. Should be a Monday night staple. Worth the trip, pre book it was full!!

Our family made a last minute booking yesterday for a table of 10+ . even though it was last minute, they accommodated us and set aside a private room so that we can have some privacy. Food was SPLENDID.. Chef on that day did a fantastic job. Not only that, service was fast. Turned around the food pretty fast even though the place was busy. Pub was busy. Price wise is also very fair. would definitely go back again. Been back there a few times. And they even specially ordered some food for us knowing it was our favourite.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night and possibly made the mistake of dining in the 'bistro area' out front rather than the dining room out the back. The meals and pricing are the same except one is bar service and the other is full table service. We had a couple of parmas and they were OK without being anything special. The place was friendly and we had a fairly good night but we were treated to some front bar entertainment (some guy running around with his pants down) that would have gotten the patrons kicked out of most other hotels. Don't be put off and worth a visit but if going on a Saturday night and you don't want too much 'country' book the dining room.

Been here a few times. Generally great service and a great meal. Booking are definitely preferred as there is demand and service can get a bit flustered by its own popularity! The main barman - who I think is an owner and / or manager is great to watch when things are hectic - his multi-tasking abilities are amazing and seem effortless. Most of the time with a fab smile. ☺️

Good pub food - Pastas, Parmas & Grill. Specials change constantly for a bit of variety. Good beer - Cold, wet & delicious! Beer lines are obviously kept clean. Good service - Friendly country service, can get very busy and advisable to book most nights & weekend lunches.

I love this Country Pub. Excellent generous meals at very good prices. The tradies lunch menu at only $15 with a free drink is amazing value and the steaks just melt in your mouth! Friendly smiling staff and quick service. The barbeque area / beer garden out the back is a lovely place to sit in the sun or shade. Highly recommended, very comfortable place to stop with lots of easy parking as well.

One of the better country pub experiences you can have. It's standard pubfare but what you get is impressive. Portions are generous, prices are cheap and they know how to cook a mean steak to satisfy your carnivorous cravings.

The chicken schnitzel wasn't good; it was thin, chewy and rubbery. The salad was pretty good as far as salads go, but the dressing was overpowering and ruined the whole salad. The funny messages were great. Overall, it was okay.

This pub is a great 'authentic' aussie pub. The range of beer on tap is mainstream; however if you like your beer a little bit off the beat and track, check out the fridges. As for tucka, the Mrs had fish and chips, and was impressed (usually she is quite sensitive regarding too oily fish), so that got 4.5 out of 5. I had the Parma - top marks with a 5. What lifted this pub from a 4 to a 5 rating was: No sliders on the menu No kayle to be found No poker machines Very kid friendly Delicious onion rings, But most importantly, really friendly and helpful staff. I started going to this pub in the 80's, and will continue to do so. And as Romsey resident, it has always been my preferred pub vs. the now defunct Romsey pub 😁
