We attended a wedding and went to a breakfast there the following day with the bridal party. Breakfast cost us 26 dollars a head which if I’m honest was a bit expensive.
The food was nice served in the buffet but for the price they could have had sausages too.
The Staff were very nice and the service good.

I stayed here following a delicious wine tasting at the Brown Brothers Milawa Winery, despite the higher price tag, as it was just across the road from it.
I found the room to be neat and enjoyed the nice view of the front gardens. The bathroom was simple and functional, but the shower and hot water was disappointing. The shower head was of an older design that could not be removed and the hot water kept dropping off. Nearby, both in front and behind the hotel, were some of Brown Brothers' vineyards. Walking adjacent to them was a beautiful and different experience. We unfortunately couldn't go into them as access was restricted to vineyard staff.
The service here was very good. The staff were welcoming and friendly but talked a lot, which may be a problem if you're in a hurry. They also forgot to prepare the antipasto platter they advertised would be in the room on arrival, but they quickly organised it when I asked about it after check in.
Overall it was an OK experience but not worth the price tag.

Excellent comfortable venue and the food was first class. Minor issue trying to find a socket to charge my Tesla but Greg (the manager?) was fantastic and located one in the pool room
He could not have been more helpful to make our visit totally enjoyable.

Fabulous. Staff were welcoming and professional in their handing of check-in in line with covid practices. Rooms were spotless, spacious and housekeeping did a wonderful job. Breakfast was similarly great and had a wide selection of food to choose. Great place to unwind and conveniently located opposite Brown Bros.
S. S.
The dine and unwind package was a total rip off. The 3 course meal at Melot, was well priced and interesting. The waitstaff great. Unfortunately my chicken was dry, I think this was more because we were one off the last dinners of a busy night and not the norm, my husband said his steak was perfect. Cost of dinner $170.00. The total of the package was $609.00, that leaves $439.00 for the room (website and reception confirmed $185.00rrp for that night). That leaves $254.00 for breakfast for 2, a local produce pack, jar of pickles, durkah and mustard. While the grounds are lovely, the rooms are dated, abit musty and the chairs on the belcony uncomfortable. I did ask reception for a break down on checkout - she said the extra was breakfast and the produce pack. Enjoy the Merlot, the hotel totally disappointed.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Lancemore Milawa. Very friendly and attentive staff. Clean rooms, a bit of modern touch to the interior of rooms and washrooms would add much more value to this beautiful property.
However the highlight of our visit was the excellent dinner. All 3 courses tasted divine.
Bonus is to have Brown brothers right across the road for some great wine.
We took some lovely family pics including our baby bump.
Will definitely come back again.

This beautiful place needs big time refurbishing. Outdated rooms with old furnishings. Good staff and restaurant.

Stayed here three nights and enjoyed it immensely. Very tidy rooms with excellent amenities. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast and dinner at the Merlot Restaurant (onsite) were splendid. The location is especially practical for those who want a relaxing stay in Milawa and want to explore the Brown Brothers winery (literally, across the road).

We stayed here near the end of autumn and were fortunate enough to get some sunny days that highlighted the beauty of this location overlooking the vineyards from both our well equipt room and the dining room. All staff were friendly and helpful and only too happy to assist. The breakfast buffet was nicely presented with an good selection of foods. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The rooms are clean, specious and comfortable. My only tiny gripe which is no huge issue was the balconies are shared. I small divider would be nice to enjoy the amazing sunset view over the vineyards. Again, not a big issue, but it would be nice. Overall we loved our stay with lots of places to see and things to do in both walking and short driving distances. I highly recommend Lancemore, and if you can get on a 2 or 3 night package you willbbe in a winner.

A lovely place with established gardens overlooking vines and the Ranges in the background. The dinner bed and breakfast package we did was excellent value as the food was outstanding. Clever flavours, beautifully presented and attention to detail was evident. I know the area well and there is still lots to do near and far. Simply a very good relaxing stay in a pretty part of the world.

A little piece of heaven on earth, with excellent vineyard and mountain views from your room, a good hospitality from the hotel will make you come back for more!! The hotel is beautifully accoutered and boasts a fine restaurant with outdoor dining options, ideal place to stay with family and kids. And to top up,its a very close walkable distance to the famous Brown brothers Milawa winery..Had a memorable trip..

Amazing customer service especially Scott who is at the restaurant. He is very helpful and equipped with amazing food and wine knowledge. All the reception staffs are extremely friendly and helpful too. Will definitely go back again. Although the swimming pool is small but I went there early in the morning and did my laps without anyone around. Overall, the whole experience is just amazing and I only have good thing to say about the place. Thanks the amazing chefs for serving up such a brilliant meals morning and night and managed to highlight the beautiful and genuine local produce.

Don't be fooled by the pictures they make venue better than it is, rooms are very old and due for a upgrade, soon as we walked in the room had damp wet musky smell, the bed was to singles put together as one and very uncomfortable. Shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and water was going somewhere and not down the drain hence whereI think that musky smell was was coming from. The vent above the shower was full of dust and so thick hasn't been cleared for quite a long time. Could hear the people in the next room snoring and just to top it off no hot water in the morning for a shower hot water units couldn't keep up. Lots better options in Milawa for that price point.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it's starting to feel a little tired, but maintains its charm. The restaurant meals were of the highest class, and the big breakfast definitely not to be missed. Would recommend

Reading the reviews of this place gives you a good understanding of what you're going to get. A place that punches above its weight but, with a little investment, could be a contender.
Initially, Lancemore is easy on the eye. Big corridors, large decor, well manicured grounds, a cosy lounge and pleasant staff. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfy. However, after spending a few minutes in the room you start to notice aspects that need attention. The bathroom for example, needed a refit. The grouting was discoloured, the spa bath was unresponsive and not really the relaxing space it should have been. Which could be said for our room too. It wanted to be grand in size and feel but it didn't achieve that status. The carpet was worn and frayed in parts, the mini-bar was just an old bar fridge underneath a kitchen work top that itself had seen better days. When viewed from certain positions the room looked fab, but from others it looked ordinary. Walking around the hotel gave the same feeling, parts were awesome (the formal lounge) but parts needed some money spent on them (carpets in the main corridor).
Now, my dining experience at the on-site restaurant was not hit-and-miss; it was fantastic. The food was superb. Wonderfully cooked and a delight for the eyes and palate. Even my wife's vegan options were well thought out. So kudos to the kitchen staff for producing such beautiful food. The waiting staff were a lovely crew too. Very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant outshines the accommodation with its city chic style cooking, and if the hotel could just smooth out some of its rough edges The Lancemore would be worth the money it asks you to part with.

We did a luxury escape which included 3 nights, daily cooked breakfast and a 3 course dinner, plus late checkout and a bottle of wine. The complimentary wine was a lovely bottle.
What a fabulous time we had. Massive rooms. Located in the heart of town so walking distance to everything in Milawa. The breakfast was delish but the dinner was unbelievably spectacular. The staff could not have been more friendly and lovely. In fact the people of Milawa are consistently the friendliest we have ever experienced in our vast travels. We felt we lucky to have experienced this right before the 4th lockdown commenced. They have some well set-out seating for groups so I’m definitely coming back with the girls! Great views of the vines from the dining room. Really quiet over night, we felt well rested. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
G. G.
Well-maintained grounds, charming service, excellent food and wonderful views. Rooms and amenities in need of an upgrade, however.
D. O.
Nice room. Restaurant is more like a cafeteria in atmosphere. Poorly trained and generally unsmiling staff from reception to restaurant. Missed basics like restocking mini bar. Needs some love and attention. Generally disappointed and overpriced
J. R.
Being here is like having a tranquiliser followed by an hour of meditation, just by being here. It is in a beautiful area, quiet and peaceful amongst the grapevines. The food is beautiful. The rooms are big and comfortable. Can't recommend highly enough.
W. S.
Our experience was fantastic at Lindenwarrah! The staff were so accommodating and catered to our every need. The grounds were lovely and perfectly situated in proximity to very nice wineries. The pool was also a nice touch when the weather heated up!
Our stay was made better with a great deal off luxury escapes but would have been just as enjoyable even without it. Would highly recommend staying here if you want to escape for a few days in a relaxed setting.

Staff and the food at the restaurant were outstanding. The room maybe not so much.
We just come off a one (1) night staff with a wine, dine and bed package in the spa room.
We cannot fault the staff and the food with in the restaurant, however I do feel a little let down at the room - my husband has told me a few times keep in mind it is a 4 🌟 and tourism is low so it was good for what it was.
The spa room was huge and you could of had a party of 10 in it, however the spa was small and on the ground floor so no view of the vineyard or sunset.
The location was easy walk to Brown Brothers and to township it self so also a brilliant point for the hotel.
Hotel guess lounge and outdoor sitting next to the bar were awesome space to use and enjoy.
Overall it was worth it well worth it with the food and bed package.

Exile to stay over Easter weekend. Very friendly staff and good food. Great public areas fo mixing with other guests or just having a relaxing moment by yourself.

Large spacious rooms, great views of the hills and vineyards, excellent location close to brown brothers winery and milliawa pub. Perfect for a romantic weekend away or wedding venue.
Also severs complimentary breakfast which is top level something for everyone is served.

*UPDATE*
Since posting the original review below, I've received the most amazing customer service from this property. After following up to discuss my feedback, they were gracious in taking the comments onboard and rectified the situation. A great and much appreciated response to the feedback. I am looking forward to giving this property another go in the near future.
We visited Lindenwarrah for a couples weekend getaway. The best thing about this place is the location - right opposite Brown Bros, and a convenient base to explore the area. <br/>The hotel itself however is disappointing. While the service and staff were helpful, the rooms are not good value for money. A 'Superior Spa Suite' at $300/night had worn ripped couches, old decor (which could be very cheaply updated), chipped paint, bird poop on the window rail - the list goes on. The cleanliness wasn't great - there's an overall lack of attention to detail. The shower leaked all through the bathroom. Not huge things individually, but not what you expect at that price point. Also little things like - you need to pay for the plunger coffee sachets in the room - even a basic motel provides that free of charge, so you certainly don't expect that at a premium price. If you do stay here, note there are no kitchen facilities, i.e. no toaster, plates etc. That said the staff will happily provide on request.<br/>Quick summary: the hotel needs significant work and in its current form, doesn't represent value for the price paid. The region is spectacular. Stay somewhere else, like a nice B&B or Air Bnb, pay a fraction of the price.

Room was comfortable but fairly dated. Pool & spa, OK. Room service, we did not need, only stayed for 2 days. In-house Restaurant Merlot gets top marks for Quality and service. Rachael was great on the first dinner, nothing was too hard for her (my wife's food allergies), an excellent hostess. We had Daniel for the next dinner, very accommodating. Made the two dinners a great experience.
T. M.
The service that we recieved from the hotel staff was excellant. We were delighted with the size of the room and its aspect looking out towards vines and Mt Buffalo. We chose not to eat at the in-house restaurant (Merlot) and Jason was …

loving going here. nice and quite. could do with a refresh
T. M.
We have paid less money and got more 'luxurious' accommodation and more value for our money. The bedrooms are very spacious but are a little 'tired', as are the bathrooms. The rooms are clean but lack style. Nothing like it in the area so …

Fabulous weekend getaway. Beautifully appointed, right opposite to the legendary Brown Brothers of Milawa, this place is tastefully decorated and carefully maintained. Rooms are spacious with high ceilings and great views, staff are friendly and knowledgeable, food and wine are of stellar quality. This is your ideal weekend getaway.
M. B.
Across the road from Brown Bros winery, this is an excellent hotel with first class meals, especially given the constraints during Covid times. Well done.
T. M.
My wife & I had such a wonderful stay here on our 'gourmet getaway' it's a very central property to explore surrounding areas. The property is stunning and we enjoyed just lazing about the pool and then meandering over to the Brown Brothers …

Arrived on the 22nd of April for a short break in what we thought was going to be luxury accommodation situated opposite our favourite winery. Great as a base to explore the Valley and wineries. Depictions of the magnificent photinia hedge in the car park. Great Breakfast with the ***y ***y choices.
T. M.
Our package was exceptionally good value for money. We chose to stay here as it is appeared to provide a level of accommodation above that of the motels in the area and provided convenient amenities for travel with kids, such as a pool and …

We had a fantastic weekend, the weather helped but the whole experience was very enjoyable. The grounds of the hotel were immaculately kept and we would love to have had a dip in the heated pool but ran out of time. Staff friendly but the hotel is in need of a tidy up.
T. M.
We had the pleasure of an overnight stay in this excellent hotel which is opposite Brown Brothers Winery. We toured most of the surrounding wineries and upon our return to the hotel we would relax by the beautiful pool. The Staff were friendly and went out of their way with everything.
T. M.
Fabulous large claen rooms, with everything you need. Rooms are comfortable and it has a great little restaurant downstairs. Located in a quiet area opposite the famous Brown Brothers winery which has cellar door tastings and sales. We dined in the inhouse restaurant 'Merlot' and found it to be good value.

Great hotel facilities, beautiful grounds with awesome views of the vineyards, pool and spa. Quiet lounge room where you can sit and read a book, play chess or just admire the well manicured gardens. Spacious rooms and spotless, room cleaned and amenities replaced daily. Restaurant and bar on premises offered scrumptious food and great variety of wines and beer. Staff also very attentive bent over backwards to look after my allergies. Across the road you'll find Brown Brothers winery which deserves a visit. Milawa town has so many gourmet delights that will satisfy even the fussiest eaters. This place is definitely recommended
C. D.
Great hotel across from the brown brothers winery. Could always update the room colours from bright green.
J. A.
A hidden gem. The most beautiful surrounds. It has a very European Villa feel to it. Love it! So many places to sit and enjoy the scenery. We sat under a tree and made ourselves a little picnic!
T. M.
A really easy drive from Melbourne and you arrive in the beautiful town of Milawa. Staff are very friendly. The relaxed ambiance of the hotel, the quite lounges for a read of the morning papers and the beautiful surrounds provided a lovely stay amongst the ***y fine wineries of the area.
T. M.
We have often looked at this place when visiting Brown Brothers and thought it looked pretty good. Combine that with stylish decor and friendly service and you have the recipe for an exemplary country house. The simplicity of the landscaping and gardens is perfect. Would be the ideal spot for a wedding.
T. M.
The service and staff at Lindenwarrah are incredible. On arrival the staff were friendly and pointed us to our room. We chose to stay here as it is appeared to provide a level of accommodation above that of the motels in the area and provided convenient amenities for travel with kids, such as a pool and onsite restaurant.

Best location right in front of Brown Brothers Winery. Service is mediocre! Staff needs training .
Restaurent was closed on Wednesday when hotel was full of guests.
W. B.
Nice enough plain rooms but bathroom needs a solid clean and mould in the shower base. Restaurant was fantastic.
K. T.
Stop over for some wineries and cheese with a 3 yr old. There is a pool that you and your little ome can enjoy. A friend recommended and it was grrat experience. Large rooms, great service from restaurant staff, good location and views are relaxing specially being away from city... will definitely come back.
T. M.
The poached eggs are kept in luke warm water and were waterlogged and overlooked. Very handy location right across from Brown Brothers Winery and a 5min walk to a few local produce stores. All very clean and tidy. Minor cost effective upgrades and attention to small details could make this go from a nice venue to a superior venue.
T. M.
Breakfast was basic but a fair choice. Entree and dessert had to pay and was very ordinary and over priced. Staff were grumpy and snappy if you asked for more bacon or mushrooms. Things are just looking a bit rundown and the hall carpet is at risk of tearing and tripping someone over.
P. K.
Considering this is where I got engaged and she said yes 5+++++ *. I had a car full of gifts for Xmas the staff stored in the office and staff were nothing less than exceptional. Being a 2 minute walk from Brown Brothers and 5 minute walk from the main road this is an amazing place to get away for a night or weekend.
C. W.
We loved the food and service was fantastic, we stayed for 2 nights and it was unforgettable. We will come back for sure. Thanks
T. M.
The adjacent reading room was a nice spot to sit and relax. Our dinner in the restaurant was appalling (in fact my main and dessert were so bad it was almost comical), to such a degree that we didn't even want the included breakfast in there in the mornings. Overcooked chicken and frozen berries.
T. M.
We loved all the Sidney Nolan artworks in the restaurant foyer area and there were kitsch artworks throughout the hotel. Grounds are spic and span. You can hear muffled voices from the rooms around you and if people are talking in the hallways, they may as well be sitting right next to you.
k. s.
We like it here... walking distance to Brown Brothers Vineyard for lunch, set in a nice ‘vineyard location’. Friendly, helpful staff. Great spot. Try their in-house restaurant for dinner.
C. S.
Beautifully set hotel in milawa surrounded by vineyards.
Rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable and the food is excellent.
Would highly recommend a stay there to experience the King Valley and it's treasures.

This is a lovely hotel with beautiful scenery. The staff were very friendly and the food was good too. I would definitely return.
