Liked · Janine and Andrey are the exceptional hosts. They were so welcoming, friendly and satisfied all our needs beyond our expectations. This is a most amazing tranquil place with stunning views. Perfect for an escape from the city life. Beautiful clean rooms with luxurious linen and amenities. Janine's home made scones and jams are the best we ever had. Beautifully set up table with home cooked fabulous breakfast, plunger coffee, pot of tea and juice. Lactose free milk will be provided if you are lactose in tolerance. Thank you Janine and Andrey for the first class hospitality. You really made us feel home and thank you for the beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers. You guys really touched our hearts. T. C.5 out of 5 on all fronts. Tallawarra Homestead is so much more than just a bed and breakfast. Our two nights there were such a gift and we enjoyed every moment there.
Janine and Andrey are such beautiful souls and treated us so kindly. A lot of thought was put into the rooms, our experience - from the lovely breakfast choices (We ate heartily at breakfast and afternoon tea), to the comfortable rooms with amenities ( including little gifts of port wine, chocolate, and fruit). The rooms were so so so comfortable that we were struggling to get out of bed for breakfast!
Andrey and Janine greeted us every morning with wide smiles and were ever so thoughtful, giving us bottles of water to keep us hydrated during our West Gippsland exploratory trips. We were able to take cool evening walks around the compound and even managed to see kangaroos and bunnies! Our evenings were spent at the bar, chatting with the both of them over the 'Andrey specials', The Tallawarra cocktail, something you absolutely must try. When we checked out, we were given bouquets of fresh flowers from their garden. (What a surprise!)

E. K. S.This place is an absolute gem! Located conveniently 10 minutes off the M1, this is the perfect home base for exploring Gippsland. The property is beautiful and well equipped, with sights of Kangaroos, birds and other animals. Janine and Andrey were amazing hosts, took care of all our requests and made us feel indulged cared for. We had our afternoon tea every day with Janine's perfect scones.

We spent a weekend away here and it lived up to its reputation of being a fine hotel. The views from the premier suite were spectacular. We loved having a calm, very scenic and tranquil atmosphere in which to wind down from the busy urban life. The suite was ample size, the bed super comfy with luxe linens, the bathroom had nice fixtures, lux towels and top of the line toiletries. We had breakfasts and homemade scones for afternoon tea and selection and quality was very much appreciated. Looking so forward to going back, it is the perfect weekend getaway.
Tallawarra hosts were excellent - Andrey and Janine made us feel so warm and everything go smoothly when we arrived and departed. Their hospitality was one of best parts of staying at the Tallawarra, very thoughtful and caring to insure that we were enjoying your stay.

From the moment you are greeted at the door with a beautiful warm welcoming smile, you already know you will be looked after well.
The homestead itself is old school luxury with a modern twist. Facilities are new and immaculate throughout. You have a few choices of areas to relax from a beautiful large room boasting of floor to ceiling windows overlooking the property and sitting in front of the wood fired heater sipping a glass of wine from the bar, to relaxing on the sofa watching TV, to reading one of the many books in the luxurious quiet area.
If you love nature, animals, a luxuriously clean homestead, and heart centred warm and friendly hosts who cater to your every whim…. You must come, see and experience this magical place for yourself
Breakfast is included and we had one of the biggest and best cooked breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Homemade yoghurt was amazing.
I’m looking at booking out the homestead for a spiritual retreat as the energy in this place is so magical.
Wether you are looking to have a small wedding, conference, retreat or a short relaxing getaway this place topped all my expectations and…… at a great price

V. M.You cannot review this place without writing about the hosts(Andrey and Janine) first.
They are the most warm and welcoming people that I have come across. They have built an experience that will leave you wanting for more. They have an impeccable taste in designing and maintaining the property.
The experience comes with a morning breakfast which Janine will take you over. We opted for the cooked breakfast which was very well made.
The whole property has an antique but modern look about it. The rooms are clean with top notch amenities.
There is a indoor deck area which has an amazing view. In the evenings we sat there with a wine and they play soothing music which helps you relax. You can also see Kangaroos relaxing in distance.
All in all we loved this place. It's a perfect place for a romantic getaway.
T. W.We have just returned from a wonderful two nights at Tallawarra. Janine and Andrey are so truly lovely and thoughtful. We spent most of our time enjoying the newly built massive sunroom with wrap around windows on 3 sides. Andrey kept the fire going for us as we played board games while watching the kangaroos jump past. Janine’s scones and home made jams are some of the best we’ve had. The homestead was impeccably clean and seemed newly painted with thoughtful and interesting styling. We truly recommend Tallawarra B&B for down time with stunning Aussie views.
J. T.One of the most wonderfully tranquil places we've ever stayed. Janine and Andrey are exceptional hosts, always on hand for our every need but also being discrete whilst doing so. There were plenty of different areas to relax but our favourite was the garden room: a beautiful, open area that overlooked the rolling hills and hopping kangaroos.
The breakfasts were delicious, the afternoon scones were an absolute treat, and the bar was incredibly well stocked! For main meals, there are plenty of local wineries but we also bought some bits to cook on their BBQ.
If you're looking for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating getaway, we couldn't recommend the Tallawarra Homestead enough.

The freshly home made scones with home made jam were delicious 😃❤ in the afternoons.
Relaxing mornings & afternoons, sitting & enjoying the warmth of the fire with a cup of tea or coffee, watching the kangaroos and reading a book, so great!
The bed was comfy and warm & listening to the birds in the morning, lovely 😃

M. R.We had a really wonderful stay at Tallawara Homestead. Andrey & Janine were both very conscientious and gracious hosts who looked after us during our stay and made sure it was as comfortable as possible.
The rooms and the properties were in immaculate condition, and the bed was so good we found it very difficult to get up in the mornings!
Andrey + Janine serve you fresh breakfast every morning which consists of your standard cooked breakfast and/or continental breakfast which they let you customise to your preferences every morning. If you’re around for afternoon tea they also serve up some absolutely delicious home made scones with cream and raspberry jam that we just couldn’t get enough of!
Tonimbuk is a little known area but there were plenty of great sights to explore that we absolutely loved. Yarragon has a really nice retail precinct with a beautiful art gallery as well. At Noojee, you can take some great photos at the Old Trestle Bridge and then have a nice romantic walk through the forests there. There are also some great wining & dining options in the surrounding towns such as Cannibal Creek Vineyard in Tynong, Garfield Hotel in Garfield and Middels in Drouin.
All in all it was a wonderful stay, very relaxing and serene and exactly what we needed to escape our stressful work lives for a few days!

The homestead itself is absolutely spectacular along with all the furnishings and nic-nacs that adorn each room.
