N. N.Back again and will keep coming back... Very clean rooms and really can't fault this place... Metung it's self is nice and quite but a little to quite when it comes to food choices need to book ahead and eat early otherwise you will find most places close early.

The view of this place makes your day. It stands out as the landmark of Metung.
All facilities are available and maintained to cater the visitors - Spent 2 nights here and enjoyed the view of the waters which makes your day.
All the rooms get planned parking and Barbara was amazing. She can tell you where to visit and how to spend your day. It’s just 20 min from the lakes entrance which will make it easy for visiting the lakes.

Y. D.The hotel is clean, comfortable and has everything you need, really stunning. Maybe some proper blinds or curtains in the bedrooms would be the final touch on a perfect room.
We did however find the staff quite rude, uninformative or helpful. Not welcoming at all or accommodating. When it came to my partner trying to plan a proposal they did not assist or answer his questions and when we thanked them when leaving no congratulations or warmth from reception whatsoever.

P. M.Excellent place to stay if you are heading to Metung. We travelled as a family of 4 and booked to stay in a 2 bedroom Bancroft bay apartment. The apartments are exceptionally maintained and clean. Location is spectacular with water front views. It is also within a stone's throw to the general store, bakery and iconic Metung Hotel. Our family had a fantastic time.
D. T.Lovely room, but the town of metung really doesn't have enough food outlets for the number of rooms. Everything was closed on the Monday evening apart from the pub which was booked out.

S. T.We stayed at Moorings at Metung, 2 bedroom apartment waterfront, for 1 night. The room is quite clean and the view is amazing. A small supermarket is close to the hotel. U can find necessary things such as egg, milk, bread and well as alcohols in the store. Kitchen in the apartment is fully equipped. U can find all you need to make a great meal for the whole family. Nice experience. Will definitely visit again in the future.

A. F.Great accommodation right on the water. We had a big spacious 2 bedroom apartment and water view. Very clean, and well appointed right in the heart of the Metung Village. We paid more to have the view but it was well worth it.
T. H.What a wonderful place to stay, this is our second time at The Moorings and we have nothing but compliments. The rooms are spacious, bright and have everything you need. What stands out most are the friendly staff and also the rooms are spotlessly clean! We try to stay in one of the units overlooking the boardwalk and water, what a pleasant way to start the day with that view! Such an easy stroll to the shops and hotel. We are always sad to leave. One thing that could be added, just a thought, is a coffee machine in the room, a nice touch that would be for us coffee drinkers. We actually took our own but it would be a nice addition. We shall see you next year for sure.

D. S.Updated design and nice accessory. Careful with the hot water consumption. One adult with quick shower plus half bath tub and laundry will finished the hot water. Have to wait till next morning. Wasn't really a good experience after a long rainy windy day...
C. H.Lovely quiet room, clean and bed very comfy. Indoor heated pool is great and they supply pool towels as well. Wi-fi is free but can be patchy, depends on how many are staying I think.

A. C.Lovely place right on the water. Very quiet and peaceful in Oct. Bad reception (unless you have telstra) and miniscule amount of WiFi, I think they gave you a daily 200mb limit, if you could get it to work. A minute walk down to the pub and plenty of wonderful cafes around. Very happy with our stay there.
K.Metung is a great place to while away a few peaceful days and The Moorings has once of the best locations in town to do this. Highly recommend booking the bay view rooms. Nothing beats sitting on the balcony with your morning coffee* watching boats sail by, pelicans glide and the sun sparkle over Bancroft Bay.
*Tip. Coffee from Bancroft Bites is Melbourne quality but they get very busy. Not many people know you can pop over to the Metung Hotel for a decent barista made coffee - and no cues.
