I was totally blown away with the absolutely excellent experience I had! Food was cooked to perfection so big shoutout to Mitch and Luke in the kitchens. Incredible service from Madie and Kim so welcoming. Stayed the night and accommodation was fantastic. The pub looks amazing and is just a great place to be can’t wait to be back there!

A. W.Had dinner in the restaurant at 8pm on a Friday. Had opened for 3 weeks offering an upmarket destination compared to the front bar. Was blown away by the food. 8 of us had dinner and we all agreed that the food was at a quality equivalent to a top Melbourne restaurant but at a price you’d get in Gippsland ($35mains, not $50!). Darren the chef came and spoke to us when we praised his meal. A Melbourne chef from top restaurants trying to get something going here. You have to eat here. Great value! Oh did I mention the $30 bottle of reds? 5 stars from all 8 of us
d. b.Good to see it's opened again. Owners know what they are doing and staff are great. Good family venue and the beer garden is a great addition. Can't wait to try food when it opens and send friends to the accommodation as well. The place looks great!

M. C.Our first trip all year after lockdown and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay at the Travellers Rest Hotel for the weekend. The bed was seriously comfy, the sheets seriously luxurious, we had such a great nights sleep. We stayed in the Jack & Jill room. Every detail was thought through for their Guests experience. We hung with the locals Saturday night in the the pub and I haven’t had so much fun for a very long time. The atmosphere and vibration was seriously authentic and we even had shoots with some of the locals called a “green lantern’ a signature shoot ask Adrian to make you one. We were made to feel at home the entire weekend. The renovations they’ve carried out make the Hotel clean, fresh and polished with all of its character and charm maintained. A must do weekend getaway. Support these local Melbournians you won’t regret it.
M. D.Such a lovely place on nice main street, and it seems as though it's only going to get better. The mew owners have plans for lots of local produce and live music. The accommodation has been modernised after renovations.

J. S.The new chef cooks an amazing Parma! The service is exceptional, and to walk through the doors it feels like you step back in time into a traditional 1930s pub. AAA++ pub. In my opinion I won't come through without calling in at every opportunity.
