Pulled pork tacos are delicious, very large and great value. A pint of Great Northern midstrength is good value too and goes well with the tacos. Friendly staff. Main area is an open plan sports bar kind of theme. Outdoor courtyard is nice if you fancy alfresco.

The Management, staff and service is excellent at this iconic hotel. The meal menu is broad and the food is fantastic. Quite often they have daily meal specials which are great value. If you are fortunate enough to stay at this hotel, you are able to order a meal and they will happily deliver it to your room. One of the best things about this hotel is also the rich history. This pub was the first in Perth to have a drive thru bottle shop. Thanks again for another amazing stay and I look forward to getting back soon. A special thanks to all the staff and a big shout out to the amazing Managers in Shannen and Tate.

Heard they had Guinness on tap so made a special visit for drinks there with a friend last night. I could let pass no shamrock on the top but this was shockingly bad. Sadly it was poured into a straight walled pint glass with a single fast paced pour to the top. Anyone who drinks or serves Guinness will know how wrong this is and unsurprisingly this was far from a good Guinness to drink. Perhaps staff need training, perhaps I was unlucky and just one member of staff didn’t know. I certainly wouldn’t make a special trip again for Guinness here and would advise others to stay clear if that’s your drink of choice. On a more positive note the bar looks well stocked with a range of drinks, ambience was good and service was very quick. Since we were already there I did have a second pint but played safe and went with little creatures from Freo. Cold crisp and exactly how you expect it to taste.

Great place to watch rugby/Sports and Wednesday is a mean chicken parmy night! Meals are always generous. Friendly and plentiful accommodating staff. Great atmosphere and dining area, and only wish they would close the outside courtyard doors so patrons cigarette smoking doesn't waft inside. Very off-putting if you're trying to enjoy your meal ☹️.

We enjoy the nice laid back atmosphere during lunch hours on weekdays. They get busier in the evenings and on weekends (like any good pub/restaurant), but the food is always worth the wait. The staff are welcoming and professional, and their drink prices are comparable to other local spots. Definitely recommend.

Ah the staff were wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. Nice comfortable chairs. Atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing and the food was very good. We were a large group of 20 the meals came out quickly and the portions were quite large. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Not one complaint. Will definately go back.

Great location in an iconic old hotel. Service at the bar was fantastic with friendly and cheerful bar staff with a good range of beers on tap. Nice beer garden, but certainly come distracting noise from the road nearby. Alas, the kitchen was not up to scratch. Had a disappointing meal which took forever to arrive. Had to ask at the bar, where our meal was. It arrived eventually and while adequate was overcooked.

My friends and I did the bottomless weekend which is a main meal and the choice of 3 cocktails for two hours for $55. Food and cocktails were delicious and the service was amazing and friendly! Definitely recommend!

Good menu, staff friendly. No table service. Price average pub prices, high if compared to other pubs with table service, wouldexpecta bit of saving if I have to do someof the work for them. Meals were all good, most of us were happy with them, not enough prawns and garlic on Garlic Prawn (2 of the main components of the meal 😉). Good flavour on others. Great amount of free parking. A little steep to get to entrance for mobility impaired. Door entrance bit tough if you have wheels.

This is a great pub. Lovely courtyard outside for summer and log fire indoors for winter. The menu is quite good the portions generous overall a nice little spot to stop when you have the chance.

Had a great stay here on Saturday night, the Hotel is lovely and cozy sitting near the open fire, drinks were great, food was amazing, the Staff were so lovely and accommodating. The Patrons were very friendly, loved the history of this hotel, gorgeous building. Stayed in rooms upstairs, very clean warm and shower was great powerful water pressure, it is an old building, but well looked after. We Will come back soon to enjoy a night relaxing by the fire watching the footy. :)

Excellent pub and restaurant go here regularly and never had a problem. Food is reasonably priced, very good quality and well presented. Great atmosphere and at times is very busy and loud with party goers. Pool tables and big screen TVs and we come here for lunch occasionally and sit outside which is lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful. Recommended coming here.

Beautiful old building. My room is so lovely with period art deco style. Staying 2 nights. Showers could use a shelf to put your stuff on. Very noisy with traffic and I'll assume party noises on the weekend but they provide earplugs so all cool. Even get a free simple breakfast! I could live here! Update. Returned a few months later, there's now hooks in the showers!!!

I couldn’t help but smile with delight when I walked into this establishment! This is how a Tavern/Hotel should look! Good sized, quality bars with plenty of open area around them with seating capacity to spare. Restaurant was a nicely relaxing experience with the food and drinks delivered to table with a smoothness of service I haven’t experienced for awhile. Steak was nicely rare and my partners seafood perfect. Room was more ‘quaint ‘ than old, but the experience of staying in a basic tavern room instead of a 5 star plush hotel was very pleasant indeed. I’ll have to stay here again👍

Had a work dinner the other night, food was amazing! Ribs are best ive had in a long time and so full of meat unlike a lot of other places. Staff were all great apart from our tables waiter who said it would take too long for her to bring our drinks to the table so we all had to go up to the bar to order. Abit inconvenient when we booked for a big group in a busy bar. Food is highly recommended here and very well priced too.

The Cap S is one of the few remaining traditional pubs in the western suburbs. You can watch footy in the back bar and the main bar, which is bright and airy, is mainly for dining. Lighting in the bathroom made it near impossible to shower at night. Might also be nice to allow guests to opt out of daily towels? I was in a double so was getting 2 lots of everything every day. I would have been quite happy to hang my towel to dry each day :) Overall, great experience. Would definitely stay again (with my own light source!).

Cap s as it's commonly known, is an old local pub with a restaurant, pool tables, a courtyard and a function room, located in nedlands. The restaurant has specials most evenings and serves some pretty good food most of the time. It can seat around 40 or so inside but you are free to sit anywhere outside. The kitchen usually closes at 9 on weeknights. The sliders are particularly good. I'd recommend these and if you get the right night, the cheap steaks aren't bad either. The bar is pretty relaxed, they usually have the cricket or footy on and the service is generally pretty good. It can get a bit slow on busy nights, like anywhere. Sadly, drinks are becoming pretty expensive too. Some pints are 13-14aud! The bar can be pretty quiet at times. All up a solid local, that is always good for a meal and a couple of pints.

Good Hotel. Not for the accommodation but for the food. Captain Stirling Hotel or The Cappa (as locals like to say), has great food deals (one for every night) and other entertainment. When I last went it was "All you can eat wings" and "Pool competition night". The wings were delightful! Only $15 for as many wings as I wanted. The wings here are a lot bigger than what you'll find elsewhere in the area. The pool competition got a little bit loud towards the end, and it would be better if the hotel installed more pool tables to disperse the 10 person waiting line. PBR's were just $5, which is equal cheapest with Varsity Bar in Nedlands. I would've liked another, but they ran out of stock! I understand the chefs were over the weather this night, but one of them was quite rude when I approached him for more wings. EXPERT TIP: Ask the nice bar staff for more wings instead of the angry chef's! Overall, a good experience with some minor things for the hotel management to tweak. Still, I'd recommend this place to anyone :))

Mi casa es tu casa, is the vibe I’m getting from my temporary home away from home here in Perth. It’s so cheap but there’s so much offered for the $59/night I paid. There’s free breakfast in the breakfast room (when ever you want), free wifi, room serviced daily, self service coin operated laundry, toiletries supplied, bar bistro and restaurant onsite (10% off meals for hotel guests), friendly and helpful staff etc etc. It’s also much cleaner and better maintained then I expected for the price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (for how cheap the rate is).
