P. C.Hesitant to go initially due to conservative co-worker (Simon) saying it was horrible. Pleasantly surprised by the friendly ambience of this hidden gem. The heritage and architecture alone, are worth the visit.

H. B.Last Old School Pub left in Perth City area, once the Savoy, Palace, Criterion, Ozone and others and now only The Carlton remains in its traditional layout. Should be heritage listed and preserved from being wrecked by the trendy craft beer cretins.
l. N.Went last night for the 2nd time (first time was last month)....Rob the owner is awesome....Love his no- nonsense attitude!!!!....The locals are unique, fun & down to earth....The atmosphere beats any of those ritzy up- market joints that Perth has to offer...Do yourself a favour and go!!!!

J.Very welcoming clientele. Went in on my own and everyone very quickly treated me as if I’ve been going there for years. Also saw two guys fall off their chairs and another guy overdose on mdma. Brilliant night.
