Great hotel with lovely staff and a lovely ambience. I have witnessed the staff handle difficult situations and unfair abuse due to the govt requirement for vaccination and they handled it extremely well.

Amazing period hotel. Dating back to the 19th century, the hotel has a grand feel to it. There are beautiful large rooms throughout, the staff are friendly and it has a vast selection of beers and ciders on tap and a great cocktail selection. Excellent food selection tops it off (the pork is delicious!). Highly recommended. My only complaint would be that they don't have proper Guinness glasses to serve a good pint in, and that a couple of the staff poured the Guinness all at once.. Without letting it sit! Other than that, highly recommended.

Large establishment with multiple bar areas to choose from. The outside area is inviting however limited shade so put sunscreen on and can get hot. Bathroom wasn't the best but You don't visit for the toilet.

We stayed in a queen room and it was beautiful. The rooms are renovated, clean and done very tastefully. We had a large balcony with a view of High Street. The windows were double glazed so on the Wednesday and Thursday nights we stayed there was very little noise from the bars. Our only criticism was the queen size bed, when they definitely could have fit a king in there. Every time my partner moved I was thrown around and visa versa. We also really appreciated the $50 venue voucher for booking directly with The National.

Half price mains and bingo on Thursday nights! Great fun and the food was delicious. For $12 and $14 each we had the pulled beef burger and lamb shoulder. Both were cooked perfectly, it just took about 40 minutes to come as it was very busy. Try not to sit near the end of the bar as the smell of basement is awful when the hatch is open.

Went for a midweek lunch and got the $15 pizza lunch special. Pizzas were good but wouldn't want to pay full price for them. Popcorn chicken was a bit floury - would not recommend. Chips were delicious!

Can't here for the first time to play a trivia game with friends. Love the layout, heaps of places to sit and drink or dine. Beautiful hardwood floors, great outside area. Walking distance from other parts of Freo, and parking block nearby.

The Federal is really picking up these days. We went during the weekend after lockdown and there was ample tables available for the punters. Plenty of televisions for the cricket. A nice sized menu with lots of options and everyone at the table really enjoyed the steak sandwiches, plus the chips were delicious. A wide ranges of beers on tap as well. Only thing I marked down for was the men's room. The taps are broken and the hand dryer may as well not be there, it's pretty insipid.

I had been here a couple of times with a group of friends, last time I had been here on a Friday evening decent place with pleasant ambience, especially the courtyard. They have a vegan options (ask the staff) wide selection of beers. Whenever you want to place an order You need to go to the counter order and pay. Overall it was Good Experience.

Went there 7pm on a Saturday night and was the only people , two of us in the whole place. I have known this pub for several incarnations, as the original Federal Hotel with Atrium Restaurant and then Rosie OGrady Irish Bar to the now newly styled Federal Hotel. The owners spent a lot cleaning out all the fake Irish junk and giving it really decent Fremantle Pub feel. Unfortunately the market is tough in Fremantle and this huge place is empty of customers a lot of the time. Prices are higher than competitors, they have TAB Bar, which gets one or two in there., apart from that no idea how much longer this place can trade on.

What’s not to like about this place? The food was great (I had a fish dish), they have a great offer on pints and pitchers, and they have a great quiz night! Definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Awesome Pub - Great food at good prices right in the heart of Fremantle. Accommodation is basic but fantastic value. Staff are terrific. The daily specials are worth checking out and Sunday Sessions in the beer garden are worth a few lingering drinks and something nice to nibble on with a group of friends. But wait there's more! As well as a quizz night though the week - they have BINGO!! totally awesome for a laugh

This building is beautiful! Tall ceilings, incredible carpets, the old furniture but then the modern touches too. We stayed here for four nights, easy going if you don’t mind the sound of a party happening while you sleep. The only things we’d hope to be better next time is for the room to be dusted and the shower to have a door (instead of curtain) so you can actually fit in the little shower. Thanks!

went there tonight with the family and was pleasantly surprised by the changes to the interior, it was light and airy. I was a huge fan of rosie's so a bit upset seeing the very different menu. However we ordered a variety of dishes and everything we had was delicious. the flavour combinations were excellent and everything was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be going back to try some more of their menu.

A great place. It used to be called Rosie O'Grady's Irish Pub. I used to come here now and then for a pint of Guinness. BUT NOW! WOW. Just simply wow. I went here with a mate lately to have a meal. The meal was OUTSTANDING. The staff was really friendly and they have refurbished the place to have that welcome feel. You have a great visible kitchen, staff are outstanding with their courtesy and service, beers cold and service amazing - GO HERE!

We stayed for 3 nights and it was ok. Our room was spacious but already a bit worn down. The bath was quit small but overall ok. We stayed over the weekend and you could here the music from the bar downstairs quit loud.

I went to this Fabulous obviously heritage Freo Pub as I was due at an event in ones of their many private rooms upstairs. I found it difficult to park so was a little late, the bar staff downstairs, in main bar ( after serving me a well priced glass of local SSB )... were very helpful when I asked where the event was, the door was locked so the guy let me in. Really helpful. We ate excellent 'pub' food, all very good quality & served with a cool modern twist. Overall, if you need a place for a minor function up to I would imagine weddings... this is fab & I wish I had more time to explore. Bathrooms very clean. I will be back!

Beautiful old world pub and accomodation. Staff cheerful and seem happy to work there with makes for a great atmosphere. Large rooms, great showers. Only down fall was the crazy creaky floorboards in the room (no13, maybe not all of them!?) No coffee facilities in room but shared kitchen with all the basics and very clean. Smoking balcony so you don't have to go all the way outside. Would recommend for a good base in Freo as close to the centre and good value for money.

Our netball team stayed here for our end of season trip. The ammenities are simple but clean and tidy. We booked 3 standard rooms and one delux room. We managed to get the 3 standards all in one wing so we didnt have to share the 2 shared bathrooms with anyone else. The delux had its own mini ensuite, very small but did the job. The food is simple pub-style food but it was tasty and cheap! Overall, the staff were excellent, booking and check in were easy and the rooms were neat and tidy. Customer service was fab - the manager even called me when the cleaner found a necklace I had left behind. Just goes to show that there is still some honest people out there. It is an old restored pub so expext a little dust, old paint and some creaky floorboards. Just remember that its a hotel not a motel so it wont suit everyone but we found that it served our purpose, charged great rates and we would definitely stay there again with a group on a big night out.
