Look, the place is old but for backpacker hostel standards it's pretty good. For what it lacks in beauty, it's made up for by the lovely owners. Joe and Carol were very helpful and friendly. This place was great for me (a solo female traveller) and it was good for a family that I met there. I would go back.

Fabulous!!! Really helped us out when we were stuck for accomodation. Not sure what people are expecting from some of the reviews it is a backpackers not a 5 star hotel. Proprietors Joe and Catol are very hospitable friendly and informative! In fact I said to Carol after booking us in that it was the best information I have been given at any place we had stayed. We stayed in a private room with amenities as too old for dorms lol. Just a stroll down the road to the beach and where they feed the pelicans daily. In fact most things very handy to walk to.

I called to hire a pushbike and Travis hooked me up. They also suggested a good snorkelling spot and were generally great. I had so much fun cycling down the coast because of this 👍

We had a fantastic time staying at the Kalbarri Backpackers. The common rooms stayed nice and cool even though the temperature outside was well over 40. The ceiling fan kept the air moving at night so sleeping was comfortable. All the facilities are clean. The kids really enjoyed the pool, and we all enjoyed the bikes and canoes. Definitely worth staying here.

Good value for money and great social vibe. The owner was lovely welcoming and helpful. Facilities are a bit outdated but clean. The kitchen has very little cooking equipment. Bonus: bordgames are available at the reception desk.

Decent accommodation, we got the building that has the swimming pool behind ( there’s another building that is NEXT TO the pool, we never went in there so I can’t give an opinion). When we arrived it was only us in the house, which was sweeeet. Decent sized kitchen and common areas. Two fridges. Lots of kitchen supplies (sandwich maker, toaster, kettle, oven, etc). The house looks old but everything still working properly. Swimming pool is clean and fresh. Nice outdoor spaces to sit at the back and at the front. Receptionist is friendly and gives advice on restaurants and also about what you can visit and best time of the day to do it. Free toiletries at reception (shampoo, conditioner, soap) Air conditioning was being set but not ready during our stay, as we were only there at bed time we didn’t need it and could perfectly get by with the fan! No No free wifi

Stayed here and met the owner funny guy, accomodation was worth it, cant complain, only thing is its best to book all your dinners and breakfast before you arrive into Kalbarri, otherwise its a bit of a wait, or buy your own food and cook it yourself.

Was a very well located backpackers in town. Beds were comfortable and kitchen clean. Joe the owner was a very friendly bloke who was happy to help and share information about the area. I would stay here again if passing through. A very pleasant vibe.

Really good backpackers. The managers are really helpful and make you feel welcome rooms are clean and spacious and there's a lot of facilities. Wifi is expensive only downfall.

The woman at the reception was really nice and gave us good advices about the tours. Rooms, bathroom and kitchen are clean. Nice living room with comfortable sofas and big TV to watch the Melbourne cup !!!

He told us about useful information about restaurants and attractions here. They are separate for men and women. The room we allocated is a room for 8 people. The space in the bunk bed is not crowded, and the toilet is also ok. The common kitchen equipment is very complete, I would recommend this trip.
