R. B.I had to stay in Mandatory Hotel Quarantine for work, it was requirement of my business (not because I had COVID) and whoa did I score well!!! The staff at The Mantra on Hay have been nothing short of amazing! There was nothing that they couldn't organise for me!! If they couldn't, then they tried their hardest to help me facilitate what I needed. They were ALWAYS happy to help, and trust me, I am sure they were sick of hearing my voice over the phone 😁 The room was beautiful, clean and spacious which was a God send when being stuck here for that long!!! The food is also amazing I can't thank them enough!! I would recommend them in a heart beat

m. g.Recently stayed in apartment: me, wife and our two kids. Apartment was roomy, clean and comfortable. Hotel entrance is a minute's short walk from the free Red Cat bus to the city centre, very short walk to 24 hour supermarket and nice takeaways. Standout was the reception staff (particularly a gent named James) who were always friendly, polite and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and easy. Would definitely stay again!

Our room was serviced daily (bed made, fresh towels) but is in desperate need of a deep clean, especially as the room was used for COVID quarantine.The carpet is filthy and is overdue for a steam clean (I have small bites on my arms from what I guess are bugs in the couch and floor, and when I went to wipe up some spilt water the cloth came up black), accumulated dust on most surfaces was evident from our first day, hot water is hit and miss (noting comments from earlier reviews that maintenance team would fix it).

J. m.We are currently on day 9 of our 14 day quarantine and I could not recommend the mantra on hay and it’s staff more highly . We have constantly been on the phone to reception whether it be to order food, organise deliveries etc nothing is too much trouble for the mantra team. Special thanks to James, Pedro and the housekeeping team- they have literally gone above and beyond their job description to keep us happy and comfortable I haven’t seen customer service like this in the longest time.
We have a neat and tidy 2 bedroom balcony apartment which has absolutely everything we could need for the entirety of or stay.
Beds are comfortable and our apartment heating and cooling is excellent
We are extremely happy and highly recommend the mantra on hay.
P. B.If there was a ten star rating then I would give 10 stars. I spent 14 days quarantine in the Mantra and no complains at all. Was given a wonderful two bedroom apartment on the 5th floors and loved every minute of my stay. Both Felipe and Pedro were excellent hosts as was Sharron too. Hope you guys are all staying safe and well down there on Hay street. Excellently located in East Perth, close to bus transport, Royal Mint and only a few minutes walk into the city.

The self contained apartment was everything it said it would be, it was clean and cosy enough to feel like home,self kept kitchen,big bathroom,comfy bed,great t.v reception,balcony. It has a lot of perks indoor heated pool,fitness equipment,same day laundry service, housekeeping, underground parking(daily fee),good wifi(daily fee),the Cornerstone Bar and Kitchen on site which is great for breakfast,lunch or dinner or room service was great. Prices are very reasonable. The Mantra on Hay is definitely my go to hotel next time I need a home away from home.

N.Highly recommend. Have used this Hotel for both work conferences and personal accommodation. Staff are always lovely. Rooms are excellent sizes and reasonably priced. I enjoy staying here due to how close and convenient it is to everything in the City plus they have an excellent buffet breakfast. Conferences are always well provided for and run seamlessly at this location with plenty of food and beverages provided throughout the day. Parking is a little steep but there is also a parking building located approximately 100m away (2min walk) that will set you back $10 a day instead of $25 at the hotel which is what I usually opt for.

W. B.We had a 2 bedroom apartment and it had everything we needed for the week. It was a little faded around the edges but was ok. We found the staff very helpful and housekeeping were excellent if you needed anymore towels, washing powder,tea and coffee they got it to you immediately. The area is good for getting the free buses,but at night it does seem to turn a little seedy. There is a car hire firm next door which we used and all went well. The buffet breakfast at the Mantra were great value at$15 . I would recommend this hotel, all positive.
G. S.We stayed here for one night, the room was very comfortable and well appointed (two bedroom suite) with a reasonable size kitchen and dining/lounge area. The room included a small balcony with a table and chairs, however we didn't use this as the only view was of the rental car yard next door. The underground parking was also very tight as we have a dual cab ute and parking is also charged at $25 per night. Overall, the room was very reasonably priced and very clean.
K.We had a three bedroom apartment. While it was very comfortable and extremely roomy, the decor was a little bit old and air con a bit temperamental. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low too. The kitchen in the apartment looked very new and was well equipped. Pool and gym looked decent and the coffee from the bar was great.
P. H.3.5 stars. Room was nice but the room was freezing cold. I finally found the temperature gauge directly behind a lamp shade. The shower unfortunately were a little disappointing as the hot water took 3-5 minutes to warm up.
Food was good, i had snapper and chips one night and Waygu burger. Both deserts were really rich and tasty as well.
T. B.Standard mantra experience and the location is a little out of the way. Staff are very good though. I was upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment and it was excellent if a little silly for one man on a business trip. But it is really nice to have space when you're traveling and this certainly had space. A great change from the standard 30sq metres you often get. This would be an excellent option for a family staying longer.
H. C.Loved this place! After a nightmare with a previous hotel they were very accommodating and helpful. Great deals with the restaurant downstairs and the front counter staff were always so friendly. Only downside was that the windows in the hotel didn’t open so it was a tad hard to stop condensation and the room did smell like wet towels if we didn’t keep the balcony door open a tad.

L. J.We stayed in a 1 bath 2 bed apartment for a week. Our room had very basic amenities. Shower was in bathtub. Lounge was small. Bed was a double even though it was meant to be a queen. Pool is on the roof. Gym is on the pool deck. No seperate room. If you prefer a bit more comfort stay elsewhere. On the positive side the Staff were very friendly and helpful.

T. M.Staff were fantastic. Great location and quiet end of the city. Poor design of location of bedroom door and bedroom cupboard. Rooms are indeed small as compared to the standard of the country. Air condition in the rooms doesn't work well. The air conditioning unit was very loud. Unprofessional all round.
L. S.I stayed at Mantra on Hay with my family for a one night stay over the weekend. The twin apartment was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. For a family the hotel has a good location, close enough to the CBD but far enough away to be quiet.
On a downside the hotel decor is dated and the bar was closed over lunch time, I expected a little more luxury for the price we paid.

M.Good location to 24hr minimart, car rentals, liqour shops, and eateries. A small rooftop pool with a mini gym. Staffs are nice and friendly. Will be great if they equipped the room with broadband tv. And some dimmer for bedside lamps will be nice. Cherio

F. i.Stayed 1 night in the hotel style room and 1 night in the 2 bedroom apartment. Both rooms were as expected. The hotel style room was big enough for a holiday. The apartment was big with a good sized kitchen and lounge room, washing machine and dryer.
S. K.We took a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment.Was of a good size. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Excellent location. Just walking distance to cafes restaurants and also shopping at Hay street and Murray street.
S. H.Very average apartment. It's a comfortably large sized apartment but then has a squishy bathroom with a small shower. Furniture is generally stained abd chipped. Washer and dryer in the apartment, which is great. Parking underneath the building has absolutely tiny spots. I've dented my car getting into the parking area and heard the underneath scrapping over the steep incline each time we enter.
C. A.The rooms are pretty good, depending on which room you get depends on how good it is. The rooms can sometimes be a little out of date, but they are overall pretty nice.
The gym is a bit of a gimmick, there is some basic exercise equipment in the same space as the pool, however if you are running on the treadmill and you slip, you will probably find yourself in the pool as there is nothing separating the equipment from the pool. The equipment also looks like it is ageing, especially as it looks like the pool is starting to eat away at it.
Its a 10-15 minute fast paced walk into the main shopping and restaurant area, there isn't a lot of food around, you might pass a few bars and pubs along the way to the shopping precinct. The restaurant at the hotel is fairly pricey for rather small meals.
The more I think about the hotel the lower I would rate it. If you are going for a business trip, its not bad and affordable for what you get, everything in Perth is so close that a taxi doesn't cost much for you to get around. There is also a free bus service that runs through the city with a stop not far from the hotel.
Not recommended for a family holiday, but for a short business trip you can deal with it.
T. M.Cleaners always did a good job. The room has all the amenities you need. Had to pay for wi-fi considering it's FREE in the city. With just a 10 minute walk, you can get to so ***y interesting places. Found the traffic outside the room was noisy, late at night,.

Service good other than that, when I asked for milk and a high chair it came within 15 minutes. Located a good 15-20 minute walk from the shops though and we have paid extra daily for parking but have had to park on the street as the carpark is full!
T. M.We requested early check in and got told the night before that it was okay and that they would call us when the room was ready the next day. Value for money. Easy walk or quick (free) CAT bus ride into the main CBD/Northbridge/WestPerth. I'm impressed with the high level of professsionalism.
J. P.I was in Perth on business from the US, and my company set me up here for a week during mid-July. The service was excellent! Room was clean and large with a nice open layout. Despite being in the CBD, not a lot of noise got into the room. The location of the hotel is great. It's a short walk to Langley Park and several great restaurants and pubs. Less than half of a block away, there's a stop for the Red Cat bus. The Red Cat (along with other Cat buses) are free and go all over the CBD, including the rail station. I think the only negative would be the price. While it is quite reasonable for the CBD, it is still quite high for Perth as a whole.

I. U.Stayed in the 2 bed, 2 bath apartment. Quite large and spacious and well worth the price we paid. Location is quite close to the free CAT bus stops, very convenient for travelling around the CBD.
D.Stayed here for a week. Great for small families. This place must have been renovated/refurbished in recently. We got the 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. The room was exactly as shown in the photos. It had full kitchen with all the utensils, cups, plates, bowls, knives, pots & pans etc. A big dinner table, Washer & Dryer, Microwave, Oven, Fridge, Kettle and a huge living area. If I had one complaint, it would be the bathroom - I would prefer a proper shower cubicle to a tub with shower.
Service wise, no complaints at all. The receptionists in the lobby were all friendly and helpful. Always smiling and ready to assist.
If you're planning on cooking during your stay, there are 3 supermarkets within walking distance from here; Carlton Fresh, Golden Hay Supermarket and RISE. Golden Hay even sells Halal chicken! All three sells selected vegetables, rice, pasta etc. If you prefer takeout, there a Thai, Malaysian/Singaporean and Halal Kebab joint at Carlton Fresh Market diagonally across the Mantra on Hay.
Free CAT bus stops also runs on Hay Street. Carlton (Stop No. 5) is the closest to the Mantra. You can take the CAT and it can connect you to the trains and other bus services. At first we thought we would have to rent a car to get around to all the attractions in town, but turns out we didn't have to. We got to most of the places in town by public transport. Plus parking is not easy in town not to mention expensive.

The door system had not worked properly during our entire stay. Required new keys once a day, as the locks were very temperamental.

C. S.Strategically located, very close to the cbd as well as the water. Langley park and swan river only 5 minutes walk if you ever want to take a stroll... And take a breather. Lots of restaurants, convenience store and supermarket nearby (won't ever go hungry for sure). Car rentals right behind the building, liquor store right across the street... Just great! Too bad you have to pay for wifi... Well technically you can get it for free, but the hotel made it a bit of a hassle to get. Luckily I did not need one. Overall a good place to stay! Should really check it out if you are planning to stay in East Perth.
C. P.Overall good value for money. Neighbourhood is not great (slightly shady) but it's easy to park and close enough to the CBD. Our 2 bedrooms apartment was very spacious and well equipped.

T. M.I stayed at the hotel on a recent trip to the area. Good situated in walking distance to the centre attractions. All in all a good hotel in a good location with great transport connections. Very Friendly staff. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the door*** with a warm welcome.

J. M.This is an ideal place for families, with big apartments and a fully equipped kitchen. The pool on the 8 th floor was the drawcard for us and is one of the few hotels that offer an indoor heated pools in Perth. A DailyBreakfast buffet is included with the full selection of hot and cold items. Parking is an extra $25 per night and is located onsite. It’s a pretty tight fit if you have a 4 x4 car. My only dislike is the bedding situation. Joining 2 singles together for a ‘queen’ is not comfortable and not what I paid for.

P. Z.Mantra on Hay has a good location. There is a bus stop nearby that offers free shuttle buses to the Perth CBD. There are small shops nearby for food and a restuarant downstairs. The hotel rooms are a bit outdated and slightly damaged but clean. Overall good stay!
