H.We went with a larger private room and it worked for us but what really makes Emperor Crown the standout compared to other options near the city is the price, the facilities (especially the kitchen where you have 5! operating full kitchen stoves), the general facilities (plenty of workspace, plenty of game area, 2 outdoor areas, general tv area), large storage for our food in the kitchen and well managed meaning things did not go missing during our stay. The rooms are kept clean and tidy with access to extra pillows or blankets never an issue. What makes it easy to recommend? The Staff. Johnnie and Andrew are the two guys you will deal with and they are always helpful and happy to assist but the rest of the staff are always available (even at 2 am in the morning) and manage the place well with no trouble for family or couples.

Since arriving here the staff have made our stay fantastic. Johnny and Tee are awesome, any requests or issues and they sort it immediately. The location is perfect for being close to the city, walking distance to everything you need. The rooms are tidy, facilities are great, and many of the other people staying are very friendly and welcoming. Me and my partner are currently looking for our own house, but right now we're very happy to stay here as it's welcoming and friendly.

C. W.The double was very comfortable and sheets very clean. Also the Emporers Crown is way cleaner than most hostels & so I give 5 stars. I liked having a fridge and kettle - essential in my world. However; if you could have 2 UHT milk pods, coffee cup and spoon there on arrival that would be more welcoming (as I got in on a flight very late). Also the kitchenopening time needs to be changed to 7am on weekends like the weekdays because if you are going out early you can't eat before you leave. The location is Central & near a blue CAT station which is ideal. It is quiet and there is no unruly behaviour again a bonus in compared to other hostels I have stayed where I got a couple of sleepless nights. Well done, great effort.😊 would definitely stay here again. Thank you

Stayed in a four girls share room. It was nice and quiet. Kitchen and bathroom not the cleanest but it's ok. Worth to stay again next time.
L. l.Very calm hostel, I think it's good for familys or if you have to work and just need a place to eat and sleep. The staff was not very friendly, but helped anyway. If you want a party hostel or something more personal don't come here, but if you want a calm and quiet place with a kitchen that closes at 9:30 PM I think you will be happy with this place.

Common areas and my room were fairly clean with a little room for improvement on the details (shower curtains urgently need a wash...). Parking is available for $10 a night which is super handy in the city.
D.Such a nice place. Extremely clean and very quiet. Totally unexpected for a hostel! Very good value for money. Great base for any City center activities. Facilities all clean, well used but not outdated. Would stay here again.
Edit: Have stayed here again! A few times and can honestly say it's still really good. New cafe next door is a bonus and seems they are updating bits as they go along so place looks newer.
A. O.Good clean hostel with a nice manager and okay facilities. One bed was a little uncomfortable but overall this hostel is good value for money. We only stayed a night due to short term notice so didn't experience much of the atmosphere but the common area seemed nice. Sheets were clean and warm. Location is good for the city. Wifi was bad for us and crockery hire was slightly inconvenient but very understandable. Overall, this is a basic but clean, no frills hostel but nice to stay in for a couple of nights.

N. T.To begin with, the location was absolutely fantastic, right within the centre, next to train & bus stations. Staff was always polite and friendly, Air condition was properly functioning. Overall, a value for money stay! The room I stayed was not as clean as I would like it to be and the towel hanger in the bathroom was broken. What is more, having to visit the messy common room to get some free WIFI is not convenient at all.
V. T.Great hostel in the beautiful city of Perth. The cleanliness makes this a surefire win. Excellent shared kitchen, nice sized rooms, friendly staff, large common area, and so on. It's definitely worth the price.
J. H.Very nice place. Shared kitchen and bathrooms for 4 bed dorms. It was quiet difficult without warmer in the 4 bed dormitory. One thing is important that, wifi is only available in the public areas(not in the rooms) and also slow connection.
N. -.I flew into Perth for a job hunting expedition and found the accommodation to be clean and spacious (I stayed in a four bed room with ensuite). The Hostel had all amenities and services available and Tom and his staff were friendly and always on hand to help. They are close to all shopping and travel facilities (easy walking distance). I also found the other people staying there to be very warm and welcoming which made my stay really enjoyable and would definitely recommend.

I give just 3 star for 2 reason:
1) the kitchen close at 9:30... Too early!
2) the staff it's friendly and professional but if you ask something outside to the rules they don't help you...for example I want extended my reservation but I forgot my credit card at work, so I ask If I can start reserved the room and the day after I get my money and I will pay...they tell me "no, if you don't pay I don't accept your reservation..."
R. R.Very comfortable bed with everything in working order (a double bed plus single room). However, I highly suspect every door has the same lock since two different people managed to unlock the door of our room with their own keys on the same night. Thankfully we weren't harmed and they promptly apologised and left. Other than the obvious safety hazard, it's a very comfortable place to stay for a low price situated in a very nice location.

F. S.We enjoyed our stay last August in Emperor's Crown Hostel. The bed was really comfy and the Family Room is really spacious. Fully equipped kitchen is added advantage. The staff is really helpful since he shows us the room and also answers to our questions.

First of all, I was checked in by Tommy who gave me a 5 stars service... He called me by my name everytime during the process, I really appreciated it. He then carried my luggage to my room, showed me around and explained everything I needed to know. I felt like a special guest but I'm pretty sure they do it with everyone and that's a wonderful attention.
Only thing, Tommy is not a smiling person but I guess that's how it is :)
Lina & Julius, two other staff member were always very helpful, especially when there were not hot water in the shower... They fixed the problem in 5 minutes and did apologise for the inconvenience.
The hostel itself is well located, 5 minutes walking from the CBD, quiet and very clean (the cleaning is made by professionals there, not by backpackers who don't care...).
My bad point will be the kitchen opening hours which is ridiculous in my opinion, they should work on this.
It's also very cold considering that there is no heater in the room... But you can always borrow another blanket from the reception.
So guys, ywell deserve the 5 stars eheh !
Being an 4/5 stars hotel receptionist myself, I can just say that this was the most professional hostel staff I had the chance to met so far, good job ! Keep going.
If I do come back to Perth, I can only come back to Emperor's Crown hostel.

F.Getting the extra star from 3 to 4 because of the staff friendly mind.. but the rooms need a good paint brush, and the cleaners should learn to clean behind the doors, as in behind the bathroom door, also the room had a very bad indoor closed off room smell, but it helped a lot getting the window up and cooling the room down with the aircon.. they forgot to change my bed covers in a whole week, but when saying so to the reception, they where very fast at fixing it.. all in all its a ok standard and at that price it's pretty much what I expected, except of cleaning and that the walls was really in need of paint.. have had a good time here till now.. 😊
