Gorgeous people, owners really care for the place and always look after backpackers. They give a hand to everyone offering work, free meals and making you feel part of a family.

u.Awesome lounge/kitchen area with pool table. Kitchen is super clean and tidy with clear responsibilities enforced thru a deposit system to ensure users clean up after themselves. As it should be. Plenty of plates/cutlery. Very sociable and easy to meet others. Great downstairs chill area and movie room. V much enjoyed my 5d stay here.

B. v. H.The hostel has a nice vibe and is clean and well organized, which I like. The kitchen was clean as well as the common area.
But guys, serious: the mattresses are terrible with capital T. The ditch was so deep, my head was in Fremantle and my butt in Perth. And to solve it, they just add a second mattress on top with the same wear. They should have replaced 5 years ago at least.
I don't know how such a good clean and well organized hostel gets away with such bad mattresses
We stayed in a 18 bed dorm and it was super super noisy during the weekend. The hostel has quite time after 1am, but it went going until at least 4 am. And for some reason no one else in the room knows that a door is better when closed. My girlfriend and I both slept maybe 30 minutes the first night.

They organize events every day and the bonus free breakfast was well above my expectations.<br/>Highly recommended, I am going to Sydney but once back in WA I will have no doubt on coming back here for more.

Would recommend for anyone spending any time in Fremantle
S. W.Check in required a $20 key deposit. I stayed in their 8-8 mixed room. It was a smelly crowded mess with everyone's belongings sprawled across the room. The bed sheets and pillow cases were not premade, although provided. No towel. There was no aircon and few outlets. The room was adjacent to the outside section where noise permeated into the late hours. There are separated gender bathrooms; two stalls were out of toilet paper in the morning. Computers available to use. Their kitchen was spacious, clean, and had the necessary equipment. Wifi was dismal. Free breakfast only includes some coffee/tea, toast with butter, jams and PB and 2 types of cereal. There's a large common space with a pool table downstairs and at the front. Staff were friendly and down to get to know you. He offered me to store my luggage at the hostel while I went to Rottnest for 2 days but I did not take the offer. I was happy to have only stayed the 1 night but would recommend others to look elsewhere.
E. S.I was staying there for 4 months and loved every second of it! I used to work there for free accommodation, which could be a stressful job but It was worth it. It’s the only hostel that I’ll ever call home, it was like a small family there! The common areas are huge so there is always enough space to cook etc. also the new cinema room is awesome!<br/>Just the bathrooms could use a renovation and the rooms some more light and color. But I know that the manager keeps that in mind! Besides that I absolutely loved my stay and would always come back there. Thank you for the best time of my life. #freofamforever

Easy to go to different beaches. Free bus - blue and red cat are around the corner. Big common area and free pool table. Big TV and a extra Cinema room for free with Netflix. Outdoor smoking area and clean bathrooms. Party and chill out hostel.

B.stayed at this hostel long term with my partner after having car trouble, the staff here are very friendly and very helpful. the whole hostel is a big family and welcomes new guests with open arms. its a backpackers ran by backpackers, the staff arnt staff that come to work and treat guest like customers, they treat guest like friends/family. if you want some were to stay short or long term with a chilled atmosphere, this is the place, its also the place to come if you enjoy a party at weekends as the hostel always has events running with local bars and clubs. one other thing this hostel doesn't have bed bugs like other hostels in freo.

Good weekly events like bbqs, movie nights, and even an afternoon of free drinks at a bar. On the expensive side of available options but you get a slight discount when you book weekly.

I would like to say that Fremantlhostel is one of many places I have stayed and will continue to keep coming back!!!! It's clean, up to date and still has it's old time feel of what fremantle once was. Staff are friendly and I would like to say thank to James for helping me out !!!! The showers are spacious, and a step avoids drying out on the ground raging the water. However the doors of the showers and toilets have a large gap, we see people in front when we pee, not very pleasant .. (surprising at the beginning but we get used to it).

Vraiment sympa! L'hotel est propre, agréable, et dispose d'un confort absolu ( hamac, canapés, home cinéma...) et met a disposition bien des services ( home cinéma, xbox, piano, guitares, livres, jeu de sociétés...).
Les douches sont spacieuses, et une marche évite de se sécher sur un sol rage l'eau. Cependant les portes des douches et des toilettes possèdent un grand écart, on voit les gens en face quand on fait pipi, pas très agréable.. (surprenant au début mais on s'y fait).
Les douches des filles sont équipées d'un grand banc / mirroir, effet "coiffeuse".

There is stuff everywhere and the smell in the rooms is almost unbearable. One of my neighbors slept voluntarily on the couch in the common area because he stank too much in the room. I've seen cleaner 18 bed rooms. However, this is not due to the hostel, but to its residents. There are also signs to keep the rooms clean and there are cleaning days twice a week. Breakfast is simple but good. Toast and cornflakes for free, you shouldn't complain. There are even pancakes on Sundays!

Das Hostel hat eine perfekte Lage und ist der beste Ausgangspunkt für sämtliche Aktivitäten in Fremantle. In 5 Gehminuten ist man auch schon am Hafen und man kann einen Tagesausflug nach Rottnest Island machen. Alles in allem hatte ich einen super Aufenthalt im Fremantle Backpacker Hostel, lediglich die Zimmer sind die reinste Katastrophe. Überall liegt Zeug herum und der Geruch in den Zimmern ist fast unerträglich. Einer meiner Zimmernachbarn hat freiwillig auf der Couch im Gemeinschaftsbereich geschlafen, da es ihm zu sehr gestunken hat in dem Zimmer. Ich habe schon sauberere 18-Bett-Zimmer gesehen. Das liegt jedoch nicht am Hostel, sondern an deren Bewohnern. Es wird auch mit Schildern darauf aufmerksam gemacht die Zimmer sauber zu halten und es gibt Cleaning days zweimal die Woche. Das Frühstück ist simpel aber gut. Toast und Cornflakes for free, da sollte man nicht meckern. Sonntags gibt es sogar Pancakes!
