N. M.The friendliest, most welcoming and best vibe having hostel in Perth. The staff work hard as hell to keep the guests happy and even though it’s not the best location in Perth, it still feels like a home away from home.
Very close to the heart of the CBD so everything you could possibly need is within at least 10 minutes walk. Plenty of public transport nearby too if you wanna get out a bit further and don’t drive.
Special shoutout to the manager Mitch, this guy is working himself to the bone to make this hostel a welcoming environment.
J.Perfect location with walking distance in the city and public transport. Also really close to Restaurants and clubs.

C. B.Loved this Hostel. Although the rooms are not the cleanest, or the most attractive (actually kind of falling apart), everyone here is just great. They have always activities that are inclusive for everyone and always friends to be made here :) I'd say you get what you pay for with your room, but it's worth slumming it for a while with the experience you have.
N. Z.Great prices for a hostel especially for the smaller dorms. While we enjoyed staying there the girls didn't quite enjoy the people lurking around in the hostel and some of the questionable types of them you encounter there. Definitely recommendable though for a nice stay near Northbridge!
V. S.Best hostel I've ever stayed at! As a solo, female traveler everyone made me feel safe and comfortable. The door required a combination at night and each room locked -- so I felt confident enough to leave my stuff unlocked and nothing was stolen. I stayed in an 8 person room and was given clean bedding which added to its homeliness. There was almost always an employee cleaning which helped keep the place neat and fresh. Every employee was extremely helpful and offered travel advice and directions, which was important since I refused to buy a phone plan and relied on wifi. The wifi worked well although slow at some points (hence the 4 stars and not 5). They have a beautiful backyard to escape from the business of the street during the day. I would gladly stay there again and recommend it to all of my friends who intend to visit Perth!
C. T.It's really good for being a really cheap hostel! There's a lot of things to do here all from ping pong, to playing pool and playing games etc. The one part I really do think it's bad is that you HAVE to store your food in fridge in a cooler bag, even if you're just staying for ex. 1-3 nights. And if you don't have one you need to buy one for 2.5$ in the reception. That is just taking advantage of backpackers and steeling their money. I think if they have this kind of rule then at least they could give away a cooler bag for a deposit which you can get back when you return the bag.
P. V.Cheap, nice staff, clean, pool table, backyard where you can chill out, close to the party streets,... This hostel is GREAT.
Also, for being a client, at least 2 nights every week you have free beers in two different pubs close to the hostel. After spending 6 months drinking goon, this is a oasis in the desert.

T. M.Rooms are alright but pack. I know most hostels employ backpackers who are just looking to score a free room for a few nights, but your staff are the face of your business. The people are amazing as are the staff. I could spend more time describing this place but I think it's enough.
L. M.A little bit dirty. But really nice people and a fantastic backyard! Moreover it is the cheapest in Perth and close to the city centre. You have to be careful because there are a lot of thiefs in the area where the hostel is located.

The location is unbeatable to know the city.
Т. Д.Friendly travellers from everywhere, excellent wi-fi, kitchen, laundry, book crossing. Volunteers are also welcome. One of the cheapest hostels in Perth: from AUD14. The only disadvantage: it is so nice that it is usually fully booked.
O.I like this hostel because it has a great location almost in the center of Perth, is reasonably priced, there are many options for rooms, rooms have AC, there is WiFi, large kitchen, PC with internet and TV with Netflix. In the backyard there is grill. Staff is nice and friendly.
Only negative can be that the WiFi is slow and some of the people who stay they don't know how to keep the bathrooms clean after they use it.
M. B.Clean, cheap, 3mins to the city center and Perth station. Backpackers are in charge of reception, cleaning very nice atmosphere. Week end noisy till 2-3am cause of the Court bar next door. Otherwise quiet.

M. B.One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in Australia, it’s not the ritz but what do you expect for such a cheap price :) the hostel gets cleaned everymorning and evening which shows, the WiFi isn’t the best but still works. Couldn’t recommend anymore really
Y. A.Lovely hostel with an amazing community area. You can watch Netflix or play pool and Xbox with your friends. The well equipped kitchen is huge and a lot of people can cook or bake simultaneously. Also the facilties get cleaned twice a day so everything is really neat and tidy.

C.Cheapest hostel in town I think, has plenty of rest rooms, some of the showers don't work, they have a couple vending machines for getting some junk food, an ATM that is out of order, and it looks like they are renovating some areas, but this is Australia and they can only work so fast here.
T. M.I didn't encounter anything worth writing about This is a great hostel with a very vibrant atmosphere/party culture. You wouldn't think the police station was next door with the amount of weed some fo the guests were smoking. There near the Northbridg where has ***y kind of restaurant, bar and club.

T. M.Let's start with the positives. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I could say that the price is affordable but maybe it's not the correct word because of all these bulletpoints. The staff wso quite good as only a few minutes walk from the city centre and bus and train station.

T. M.Padlock on door as opposed to proper lock. The noise from the nightclub can't be helped, but anyone who has ever stayed in a hostel in the middle of a city before will know to expect some noise. I may look cheap but even the price they ask is way overrated for what you get.

T. M.Needless to say that it was noisy with music from a nearby nightclub and then builders the next morning. All you have to do is put up a sign and make people aware at check in that loud and inconsiderate behaviour will not be tolerated after 10pm, or they will be evicted without refund. Do not stay here.

Its close to the public transport system (trains and CAT buses), the supermarkets are very near by and the clubs are only a stones throw away. The Hostel offers great weekly rates starting from as low as $150 per week and guests can enjoy free wifi to feel at home.

R. S.(Translated) I stayed for a week, but I think it was good compared to the price. The building itself was old, but shared showers and toilets were so beautifully replaced. The lockers in the room were broken and could not be used, but there is also a ground floor so there is no need to worry about valuables if you have a padlock. 1週間泊まりましたが、値段と比較して良かったと思います。建物自体は古いですが共有のシャワーやトイレなどは交換したのか綺麗でした。部屋にあるロッカーは壊れていて使えませんでしたが、1階にもあるので南京錠を用意すれば貴重品の心配はありません。受付の方もとてもフレンドリーなので話しかけやすかったです。

J'ai passé 2 semaines au hive, les accommodations sont très propres, le ménage est fait tous les jours (en fin de matinée) il y un billard gratuit, une bonne cuisine, sèche linge et lave linge (un peu cher 4$ pour le lave et 3$ pour le sèche). Ça reste l'hostel le moins cher de perth et en centre ville. Les gens sont super cool il y a quelques français et beaucoup d'étrangers avec qui parler sur la terrasse le plus souvent autour d'un verre. Les règles de l'hostel sont simples mais il faut les respecter sinon la caution de 20$ peut sauter (rare) . Je recommande.
