A. O.Smoked meat dishes are awesome! Try the tacos!!!
Also, the accommodation is good. Carpet was laid in an interesting way and the modern bathroom door was interesting...but the rooms were comfortable and clean. The only thing I'd add is a blind on the bathroom window as the light shine in from the outside stairs all night. We appreciated the complimentary drinks at the bar too!

We have celebrated all of our milestones here, from our first date, anniversaries and honeymoon lunch. The food is amazing, and well worth a visit. Definitely try the Chilli Muscles, they are a favourite!

Z.My family had a great dining experience at the Norfolk Hotel on Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere and aesthetic was perfect for dinner. There was a large range of high quality craft beers on tap. The staff were kind and service was quick. The only negative was the small serving sizes of the burgers. However the food across the menu tasted great.

F.We were surprised with the quality of the pub food, we had the cauliflower popcorn, fremantle sardines, beef brisket croquettes, and chilli prawn pizza, I think this is the best cauliflower popcorn we had, crunch and tasty 👍👍. The sardines and pickles were very nice too. Very friendly staff and relax atmosphere, excellent place for a drink with good quality food.

G. B.A solid venue overall - nice cocktail bar and service was always pretty fast even during busy times. The croquettes were a highlight although the smoked meat platter seemed a little overpriced. Pizzas were good but not amazing.
H. I.Came here for my birthday celebration. Got given a free pint of whatever tap beer I wanted on the house when we arrived.
Lovely & lively place with a really nice alfresco area to dine in. The food prices for the quality and what we got were very reasonable. Was not expensive or inflated for Perths prices.
But what made me give them a 4 star was the food was not as good as the last time we went here. The market fish which was the gold band snapper was very fishy and the steak that my wife ordered that was supposed to be medium came out well done. We had to send the steak back and get a new one with the correct doneness.
I enjoyed my lobster spaghetti and the burrata and prosciutto was pretty good. The smoker meat platter was ok. The roast chicken on there was pretty average and the snowpeas in the salad could have been blanched as it was still raw. But anything that was char grilled was good and had that char taste which is what you wanted.
All in all it was a memorable night but with a few hit and misses along the way.

D. M.We’ve visited the Norfolk Hotel a few times and always been impressed. Today we went for lunch. The first thing we saw which was striking was the amount of greenery on display. We ordered a grazing board for 2 and a crispy buttermilk chicken burger. The food arrived promptly and was delicious whilst not leaving us too full. Service was top notch. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants to visit when in Fremantle.

C. A.The Norfolk Hotel has one of my favourite atmospheres of any restaurant or cafe around. You are surrounded by greenery and walls of history dating back centuries. It's a popular place so it's always bustling with people out for a meal or just a drink after spending time at the beach. You really can't help but feel like you are in holiday.
I did really appreciate the portion sizes when it came to the burger and chips which was tasty and filling while being a healthier option than many other burger places due to their portioning! The share platter was an incredible sight which was filled with delicious meats, breads and salads! The wait staff were very accommodating, remaking a salad to be gluten free when the error was on our end for assuming it was gluten free. There are also so many dairy free and gluten free options or alternatives to almost every item on the menu!
The bar staff however tended to ignore customers waiting to order a drink to the point the bar was crowded with people waiting and filled the cups with more ice than necessary (as you can see in the photo) so the coke was very watered down, but I believe this can be attributed to the number of things they had to do on a busy evening.
Overall it was a very relaxing and pleasant meal.

L. W.Tried for hours to book a table online , website that doesn't work says to ring when you ring a message tells you to go online. Left two messages and got no response. Went there at ,5pm and guy at door asks if we have reservations, I explained situation and told him we had family inside already waiting for us and he let us in. We ordered food and got it quite quickly. My advice to those in charge if you are got to rely on automation Make Sure It Works.

J. F.Great food and vibrant atmosphere. They are trialling a cool new system to order and pay right from your table which is really interesting. Numerous little issues with the orders but the staff where really good and made effort to fix things. Drinks are very heavy on the ice, and one meal came 30 mins after everything else ??? Everything tasted great though and really enjoyed the space and menu options. Well worth a visit.

M. H.A great venue with very good food and excellent service but completely let down by very poor servicing of the toilets. They were in a disgusting condition and there was little the very busy bar staff could do about. Shame that a fantastic venue is let down by a simple cleaning procedure.

Before being here for the two nights we were at a 5 star resort in the city and the service here was better in many ways.

B. N.I recently hired out the Green Room/ Oddfellow bar for a function of 40 people. The whole process was easy and seamless. The staff at Norfolk are incredible and always helpful, friendly and go above and beyond. The food is always superb! This was the 2nd function I've held at the Norfolk. There is no venue area charge which is a rarity these days. I cannot fault the Norfolk, I highly recommend for a stop in pub lunch, a function and a nights stay.

The menu is creative and innovative and well priced. The only downside was the 30 minutes wait for our lunch order to arrive, and rare steak doesn't usually take that long! For food, one of the meat feasts from the smoker and it was delicious! The pulled pork was juicy and tasty, the beef brisket was crumbling in just the way you'd like, the pork sausage was full of flavour, I highly recommend it. They have a dedicated smoker and a dedicated pizza chef, will try the pizza next time!

The feast platter for 2 was amazing!!! I've never been happier with a dish choice, the corn was funnily enough the piece that stood out to me the most. Making me wonder when the last time I've wished there was more corn.
The atmosphere was fabulous, you sit in a dining room filled with plants! What more could you ask for!!
The staff we courteous and extremely polite, the "pit master" was happy to have a chat and explain how everything was made. And even give me a receipe for the corn previously stated.
The overall experience was perfect. I can not that them enough for the beautiful dinner!

G. P.Most of the food was delicious. The heirloom carrot salad had some serious spice to it that wasn't on the menu so that wasn't too enjoyable, but everything else was delicious. The music was (and I hate that I'm even writing this) too loud for talking and eating, so we left for more chilled pastures. Service was above and beyond though, well done on that.

The Norfolk always has a great selection of craft beers from around Australia. They also have all your local regulars as well.
The spit roast meat bar looks and smells amazing! We didn’t try it this time around, however, next time for sure. It was awesome to see the meat being roasted over hot coals right before your eyes. The $100 meal for four special looks like great value as it’s included with a jug of beer! So that’s $25 per head with a drink. Not to bad at all.
A.Came for lunch. Atmosphere was great but the fried chicken special I had was tasty but not as good as I would have hoped. Corn bread was not traditional and the fried chicken with chilli oil was barely there.

Try the pizzas to share and one of the awesome share platters with a variety of smoked meats and salads. The perfect way to end the week!

The staff truely understand hospitality, and go above and beyond to ensure you have a great time. Beer selection is outstanding with a number of craft beers on tap. The smiksm fills the outdoor area with an apetising aroma of smoked meat.

N.We were offered complimentary tasting of a new wine on arrival but for a Sunday lunch which we had booked they were not doing table service so for ordering we had to wait for a long time to order food at the bar, due to too few bar staff. I ordered a bloody Mary from the specials menu for $10 and it was fabulous and unexpected with additional pickled garnishes. I also ordered chargrilled lamb chops which stated medium rare and 3 on the menu. They were well done and I received two and a half and only a small handfull of wedges. For $25 this was more like a starter and overpriced and a little insulting with the wedges. The service was good and so was the atmosphere, I chose not to complain.
T. O.Great place. We stayed there last night as we were meeting friends from UK in Freo. We were struggling to get accommodation in the centre and saw that The Norfolk had one single room left. The wife and I aren't huge people so we asked if we could have it. Manager said it was no problem. We rocked up and check-in was friendly and simple. The room was squeaky clean and had a basin. Communal toilets and showers were also sparkling clean. Had a snack in the pub and went to meet our friends. Great night was had and we fitted in the single bed just fine. 😊

p. w.Hi there, I am a huge fan of your hotel so a NYE with the promise of good music got me in. However, after lots of different stuff which had everyone on the dance floor, you left a self indulgent, untalented house music DJ in place for 45 precious NYE minutes despite the fact absolutely no one was dancing! I pointed this out to the floor manager who told me that this was a house party... my girlfriend and I appealed to the DJ and ten mins from midnight a new DJ got us all up and as I write the music is fantastic at last!
C. C.Each time I come to the Norfolk's patio space I wonder why I don't come more often. A great place to have a Sunday session, lots of variety on tap which I always appreciate. Also tried the bbq smoked meat feisting board for 4 and it was great value and pretty authentic American bbq style.

There is also an awesome whisky bar downstairs called Oddfellows and I've been there a few times, just because of the range of whisky's there. It's wonderful. I'm also pretty sure that there's an all conquering club that you can join if you drink all of them at least once!! Come here!

The security guys are always non-confrontational, that's always good.
