Went there because I'd heard there was a new chef and just wanted to try it out. I believe it was better before. It was a Monday night though so possibly the chef doesn't work every night. I felt the meals were more classic "Just a pub meal". The prices didn't reflect though and I think they are priced more towards better things that just isn't there.

We came to the Hotel as a group during a social event and experienced the live band which was excellent. We had a group of 23 people, service was exemplary. I had the Stirling Burger which was very tasty and reasonably priced. The $5 Carlton Draught was the bonus. Excellent service although the pub seemed to be short on staff. All meals were brought out in a reasonable time given how busy it was last night. Recommended.

The food and beer were ok. What let it down was the cleanliness of the tables. These days more care needs to be taken between customer seating. Staff seamed to be target locked on clearing the tables not cleaning them. Not keen on the smoking area mixed in so close to the other dining areas as well.

Went there for lunch. The inside is nice compared to the outside appearance. They had a regular menu which was reasonably priced. And a senior's menu. Fish and chips (senior's) was $17 and a small Carlton draught $6.00. The serve of F &C was a reasonable serve for lunch time was rather nice. Was pleased with the service and staff are very pleasant.

This has to be on of the best Pubs in Perth. They have friendly staff, awesome beer garden and great range on drinks. Make sure you try the smashed paddy burgers too:)

Fantastic stay here. Stayed in a lovely room with all mod cons that had recently been renovated. Lovely bathroom. Huge Kingsize bed with very comfortable pillows. Food here is great try The Sterling burger served with beer batter chips. Got to give it 10 out of 10. All the food here was very nice and great prices. Service was good and very friendly staff.

The Stirling Arms Hotel is a really nice and comfortable environment with lots of indoor and outdoor space, the staff are friendly and as is standard for most pubs there is a live music performance on weekends (I think only Sunday though, I've never been there on a Saturday). The Hotel is also pet friendly :)

Very disappointed with the roast. It was barely hot and it came on a metal tray with paper which became soggy with the gravy. Had to try to avoid swallowing the paper. I must say the staff were very good.

The staff were absolutely amazing, helpful and cheerful which made the dining experience fantastic. The food was quick, and delicious. Good value as well. I stayed in one of the rooms for the night and it was well furnished, a comfortable bed and basic amenities provided. All in all, the value for money is amazing. Quite an affordable stay and the staff certainly are the cherry on top. Will be staying here again when I need a room for the night.

Even on a hot day it was really nice sitting outside :) popped over to the bottle shop next door and they have a coffee machine! Good food brought out in a timely manner, at the expected pricy pub costs. Though an outdated 19c charge for using a card. An ambient garden area, with service that goes above and beyond too. Would score higher but it appears the non-smoking area doesn't apply if you're friends of the staff. They'll even bring out an ashtray to put next to their no smoking sign. Gross. There were kids around too. You'd think the staff/management would enforce their own signs. Overall a good place with great service and nice food ruined by the smell of cigarettes.

Above and beyond service. Booked the lounge area for a hen's party 8/8/20. nice venue and food but the 5 stars mainly relate to the service right from the planning, to management and general staff on the day. Even after we had left the venue on a bus and returned later and needed help with our things they were onto it even when they were under no obligation to. Very impressed!

It had been a while since our party had been to The Stirling Arms and we were all very impressed about how well it had been refurbished. We had seen advertising for it on Facebook and it looked just as good in person. The food was delicious and great value. The service was also top notch and we will be back again soon.

Went for the Sunday brunch and it was amazing. The service was extremely accommodating and the food was not just the 'simple pub food' but something you'd find at any 5star restaurant. Highly recommend, particularly in covid times where they clearly have made the effort to make sure everyone is socially distanced. Will absolutely be back!

Stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. Good value for money. Particularly if you are in a big group. 3 bedrooms with queen beds and also 2 sofa beds in the lounge room. Porta cots available to hire and large rooms to set up in. Only negative is the lack of a blind or curtain in the lounge room. It gets a lot of sun in the morning.

Held a function here (approx 60 pax) and everything ran very smoothly. Food platters were well priced, seasoned and served hot. Could not flaw the finger food offerings I chose. We were given a private area and our own bar at no extra cost which was a blessing. Very well done. Neat venue, cheap drinks, great service.

Understandably our food was not out in ten minutes but we were happy to sit and chat in the both amongst ourselves. This is not an upmarket option, but the service was very friendly and competent, venue is neat and tidy, and the food was pretty reasonable. The menu has a distinct Carribean note, with a few dishes offering nice spice and flavour. I am keen to try a few more options! Beer is cold and good value. It was night and raining for our visit, but the beer garden looks like it might be a winner on a warm afternoon.

The let down was the drive view bottle shop when we left we grabbed a couple of beers for the road well the staff member serving needs a good lesson on how to serve and greet people he did not say one word and when asked for a bag as on foot he just starred and did not comment we waited no bag was given then just grabbed our stuff and left and still no word spoken.

Most drinks are reasonably priced. Food is expensive for what you get. Had the Wagyu burger which was actually pretty gross. The fish and chips appeared to be quite nice, and had no complaints from the people who had it. The burger felt very cheap and kind of old, didn't enjoy it at all.

Been to the Stirling last 3 weeks for Steak night..it is that good. The only downfall is the cigarette smoke which numerous people have complained about. Surely if people have a desire to smoke they could cross the road from the bottleshop.

Tends to sit a bit on the pricey side for what is offered but, the rooms have been refurbished and they have a real Scandinavian/Victorian feel to them with comfy beds and pillows topped with bright coloured velvet pillows and the bathrooms are gorgeous and clean. The whole hotel is very clean! The food downstairs is amazing, I recommend the pork belly, with discounts given for staying at the hotel. Generally a great vibe at the hotel and restaurant with a beer garden, too. No elevator, which is a pain at times but not a deal breaker. You can also get great deals for a stay here at a few accommodation sites. Worth checking in, if you need a place.

Brendan, the Proprietor and Jordan the Events Manager were extremely accommodating and went to great lengths to ensure our special occasion was memorable. Would highly recommend. Clean tables and nice new flooring. Plenty of parking around place you just have to look. The mens toilets i used not so good. The ladies from outside looked like it had been improved. Nice place to go. Its not the ritz but you will have a good and enjoy your tome there.

my fiance and myself and our Puppy drove past and decided to have an late lunch early dinner, we forgot it was fathers day and it would be so busy, we ordered 2 Sunday roasts and some sides and drinks. Food came out within 15 mins, to my sheer surprise as it was very obvious they had just been slammed and were just coming through the last dozen or so tables.. Food was fresh and very tasty. The flavor was there which is great as most roasts you get out are bland and you have to add lots of salt and pepper to get taste. The sides mash and fries were both as good. The service was great we delt with Peter, he seemed a very nice guy and he took time to greet us and say hi, check in on us and clear our plates in a timely manner. We complimented him on our experience and he seemed shocked we were so happy, knowing the staff were rushed off their feet as we left we decided to buy the 4 staff a cold beer for knock off and the shock look of the girl behind the bar when I gave it made our experience even better, as you could see the appreciation. Ventured out of the Stirling Arms to try their 2.99 pints. The outdoor area is lovely & family friendly. The bar area looks like a TAB was involved in a high speed collision with a working horse stable, & smells as you’d expect. To counteract the smell staff had bluetacced a pine tree air freshener to the aircon in an attempt to mask the aroma. We stayed for a couple... to be fair 2.99 pints.

Great value pub with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Cheap pints or stubbies, especially with the free membership, and generous servings of food too. Great beer garden, accommodating for pretty much anyone, even those with dogs, which is something you don't see often, here in Perth, or at all up in Gero, so top marks for that inclusiveness guys. You can easily tell the Arms has more relaxed vibes than the more upmarket reno'd Guildford Hotel, which works in their favour and is more inclusive, especially for those of us coming from the country or not trying to come from the higher end of town.

My friend and I were looking for a dog friendly place to have a farewell lunch as Shirley and her fur baby leave Perth to travel around Australia in her camper van. It was lovely to be able to have a lovely lunch and say we'll meet again soon before Shirley took off on her travels in the beautiful beer garden, Molly enjoyed the atmosphere as much as we did. Thank you for a beautiful spot to eat catch up and take the fur babies, loved it and will definitely be back.

I put off going to The Stirling Arms Hotel since the refurb because my previous meals here (prior to the refurb) weren't anything special. I didn't expect much this time either so I was surprised to see the menu and the inside had a complete makeover. My mate and I both ordered the 250g Eye Fillet steak cooked medium rare (costing around $35) and both were so damn good I felt compelled to write this review. I haven't had a steak this good since a visit to Rockpool at Crown (where I paid almost triple). I will be going back to confirm the 5 star score very soon. As a Guildford local i have witnessed in the short time since it's become under new management, the Stirling Arms has been progressively improving. It was once a place with a interesting reputation that respectable people use to avoid. Thanks to the new owners, she has been restored to her former glory both inside and outside bring back its art deco charm with it. With a choice of delightful dining either in the quaint court yard where you enjoy Guildford life go by, or inside with its fresh and polished well stocked bar. Or pop into the drive thought bottle shop where you can also get a coffee to go. The staff are also a perfect reflection of how a lively and family friendly venue should operate. It’s my first time here. Super easy to find. All staff members have been very polite and friendly. As soon as I walked up stairs to my room I saw a book on the hotel history. Totally loved it. Made me feel like they were proud of the building. I really liked that (I’m 34) as soon as I opened the day I knew I got more for my money than I could imagine ( am in room 3) it’s so beautiful on the inside. Loved the simple yet wonderful decor. From paint colours to curtain choice. It all works. Then the bathroom OMG I’m so designing our one at home like this. Loved the raw brick walls. It brought a historic look into an upscale bathroom. Then dinner. What can I say. (Lamb shanks) it was amazing. Loved the fact they used real mash potato. It made me feel like a someone not just a income like fake mash can do. The carrots with honey, the way the meat came off the bone and not like it’s been over cooked and falling off. It was palatable. It’s Luke a home cooked great meal made with love. And not the harsh love the affectionate love. And they had Matsos on tap. Then as iv gone up to my room to get some sleep they have a ray of pillows to choose from. Thin, mediums and puffy. I loved that they thought of different people with different requirements and let you decide. And so close to the airport. I think I found my new fly out hotel to stay in before I fly out to work each roster. I can not fault this place. And so greatly priced. Thankyou to everyone at the hotel. This hotel has been beautifully transformed from an ugly duckling to a gorgeous swan. The restaurant has a new home which opened recently - The Welbourne Room and it's lovely. We had a wonderful and inexpensive dinner. The service was amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. This is the second time we have been in as many weeks and we look forward to making this our favourite "local".
