P. F.We stayed at this place for almost three weeks when first arriving to Sydney, we used it as a cheap place to base our selves as we were trying to find jobs and a home of our own. It's not a party hostel or a place to make friends so if that's what you're looking for head else where. The staff were absolutely lovely! So friendly and eager to help anyway they can especially the young guy with the moustache! (Sorry didn't catch your name.) Sure the hostel is a bit run down and the kitchen in the basement is a bit dingy as there is no windows, but it was super duper clean, the staff were always busy and you can tell they were trying to make improvements. Well done team!

M. H.If you just want to stay for a couple of days it's fine her. The guy at the reception didn't tell us where the kitchen or anything else is though and came across like he doesn't really care too much. The hostel lacks a vibe, everything is a bit out used and the smell in the kitchen was bad too. Cheap rooms though, I slept in a private room and that one was really fine!
r. p.The staff are both friendly and helpful dealing with any issue, the beds are wider than YHA's, room and bins are cleaned and vacuumed daily, the water pressure is fantastic and bigger again than YHA's toilets always have paper and clean along with the kitchen and TV room, the biggest drawcard is the price only $105 a week. The only drawback unfortunately due their having a new server is the Wi-Fi which logs you out very quickly.

H. E.I would give this hostel 5 stars since i struggle to think of something i don't like! By far the best hostel i've stayed in, in Sydney. Beautifully clean! It is very quiet at the moment so maybe that's why its been so pleasant... but also lacking in atmosphere. However, for the cleanliness, wifi and location, I think the price is fantastic.

There are a few things I like about 790 on george. Cheap rates, air conditioned and has a lift
What I didnt like is the place is so run down and I had a crazy room mate who gets very agitated. I had to leave as I didn’t feel safe but I guess I was unlucky.
I don’t hate 790 on george but keep in mind what you get what you pay for. Your welcome to change rooms if you feel unsafe or unwelcome or get the person removed
I did let the reception know and he happily refunded the last nights stay without me asking. He was very nice. Tall cute guy with the long hair. More than happy to come back once covid is over
M. L.Friendly staff... super clean (kitchen, toilet, hallway and rooms). Super safe, you need your card to go everywhere. Wifi is fast and free. Kitchen is well equipped and big. There are coin operated washing and dryer machines.

Each every floor has different colours and graffiti. It’s really cool.
Staff are nice and price are ok.
They kept it pretty clean in public area such as hallway and bathrooms.
Also a upside is they have elevators, so you don’t need to worry about stairs if you have lots of luggage or backpacks.
Location is just right next to central station super convenient.
There are a 24 hour kebab shop and Reef club just right next door.
If you don’t like The Reef, the famous Side Bar from wake up is within 5 minutes walk. So it’s also convenient too.
Plus 24 hour reception so don’t need to worry about when to check-in or check-out.
K. A.stayed here for long time, about 2 months straight. I am sure they have special rooms for non long term guests. perfect location, reasonable price at reasonable comfort. Beds were super clean, environment depends on the roommates. 790@georg
D. L.Good location close to Central Station. The double room was small but clean, the bed comfortable with clean sheets. The shared bathrooms were clean and well maintained, but could use a crate or wooden slats underfoot as I got out of the shower to stand in a puddle of water. Showers are hot and strong. I did find it a bit annoying that I had to pay extra for the use of a towel. My room was quite noisy, and I could hear all the comings and goings of other residents.
R. P.Stayed for 3 nights. Absolutely wonderful service, everyone working there was incredibly kind and helpful! Rooms were relatively small but comfortable, towels and blankets were all provided, and the bathrooms and kitchen was clean. Incredibly close to Central station, Darling Harbour, and is right in the middle of some great restaurants and shopping. Definitely loved my experience there and would recommend them to anyone!
R. S.Stayed two nights at this hostel. Room was very clean and nice. Large lockers in the room, with electrical sockets inside them for charging phones etc. The bathrooms are well kept, with male and female kept separate. The kitchen is okay, plenty of fridges for storing food, and cupboards.
A. E.SENIORS NOTE. I stayed in a single room with share bathroom room which was clean and secure. As I am older than 35 years dorm beds are not on offer. This backpackers is well run and so centrally located that for AU$90 per night it's the best option in town.
China Town is just around the corner along with an IGA supermarket.

First night, I couldn't sleep due to the sounds of traffic light. I got used to that sounds the rest of days though.
But Fri night, many people were having fun in the street, it was noisy.
Bedroom was stuffy, the air was not good, we couldnt open the windows let fresh air in.

The last 2 days wasnt good, one new roommate moved in and she moved my stuff out of lockers.( though I didn't lock it that was some of my fault.)
I left my key in the lockers when I backed to the room I couldn't find my room key. She said she didn't see it. So I couldn't get $10 back. It's not a big deal, but absolutely made me unhappy while traveling
Anyway, I got very good and very bad experience here.
J. F.Decent price, not a really flashy place but for the price it's very reasonable. Staff are very helpful. Rooms and communal areas kept pretty clean (of course it depends on your room-mates though), only one small bathroom per floor so sometimes have to wait for a shower but that's no biggy. Beds are good - comfortable and not flimsy / creaky like they are in some other places! No deposit for keys / crockery.
C. “. C.Very good location that just nearby Central Station. Nice view from the window in corner room. Very clean bathroom but not in 6th floor. All of toilets and bathroom are closed. Kitchen open only from 5 am to 11 pm that you can't enter if you were hungry at night. Luggage storage is not a free service. Good news is there are events everyday.
J. L.I have stayed here a few times now and was never disappointed. Rooms are clean and usually quite on weeknights. A lot of people staying here are long-term working backpackers and have 9-5 jobs. Defo a good place to stay for what you pay for. :)
D. S.The hostel is quiet nice. The rooms are OK and the prices are fair. The kitchen is a little messy but nothing I haven't seen anywhere else. The bath is OK (I can only speake for level 6) but one toilet per level could generate some problems sometimes.
The wifi is with $5 per day too expensive and the login is a pain in the ass. It tends to kick out several devices who then aren't able to login again. Happened to me and my roommate.

Only complaint is that this location is right by a club. Outer most windows won't close, so it feels like I'm at the club, too..as I'm writing this at 1:45 am. If you stay here be sure to request the side closest to george street or you won't get much sleep...
M. B.Cheap accoms for Sydney, but they could do far more to make this an awesome spot. Common rooms are not very well maintained, games room was completely closed when I was there (maybe they're renovating it? But I didn't get that impression). Kitchen does have great fridge storage space, which is a plus for longer stays.

B. c.It us just opposite to Central Station. At 650m distance from central station through Pitts street exit. It is very convenient for tourists, backpackers and temporary visitors. It is an affordable accommodation as well. We can find all the major restaurants in the radius of less than 1km from this place which is walkable.

Even if no one checks out, they clean the room every day! The kitchen is also spacious and you can see it being cleaned quite often. Overall clean!!
Instead, the TV room seems to need a little cleaning after changing the sofa sheets. I feel like the kitchen utensils are a bit lacking... I think I will have to buy a new ceramic bowl and cutting board!!
Free pizza party, beer party, etc. are provided every evening on certain days. The reception stays 24 hours!
Anyway, I made a lot of good foreign friends here, and it was nice to have a pleasant trip to Sydney because of it!!

평점이 생각보다 낮네요. 전 가격대비 괜찮다고 생각해요! 이보다 더 저렴한 숙소 갔었는데 진짜 냄새나고 더럽고 시설 정말 안좋았는데 거기 다녀왔어서 그런지 여기왔을때 저는 정말 깨끗하고 좋았어요.
무엇보다 리셉션 직원들이 너무너무너무 친절해서 좋았어요!
항상 먼저 웃는얼굴로 필요한게 있는지 물어보는 직원들 정말 칭찬합니다!
그리고 사실 사람이 별로 없어서 전 더 좋았어요. 장기투숙자가 몇명있긴합니다. 6인실 사용했는데 딱 2명 있었고 두분 다 장가투숙자였어요. 그래도 10일 내내 들어오는 사람이 없어서 넓고 쾌적하게 썼어요. 사람이 많이 없어서 굉장히 조용한 분위기였습니다.
체크아웃하는사람이 따로 없어도 매일 방청소해줍니다! 주방도 넓고 꽤 자주 청소하는 모습 볼 수 있어요. 전반적으로 깨끗함!!
대신 TV room은 쇼파 시트를 갈고 약간의 청소가 필요할듯 합니다. 주방기구는 약간 부족한느낌... 도자기그릇과 도마는 새로 사야할것 같아요!!ㅠㅠ ㅎㅎㅎ

地理位置超棒，過個大馬路就到中心車站，整體算乾淨，有電梯，寄放行李要放在地下一樓的客廳，也有投幣式電腦寄放櫃可使用，會定時清冰箱，記得自己食物要放在袋子裡，外面要寫上房號姓名和日期才不會被丟掉。
