I needed something long term and the price was way better than a hotel.Very close to beach and shops and lovely walking opportunities. I'm also in my late 50s.I felt very safe here.

A. C.Stayed here for two weeks and I was quite impressed. The staff here are lovely. All of the hostel spaces were kept clean. The overall vibe of the hostel is that you are visiting family & friends. Everyone is friendly and chatty which is great if your traveling alone.
My bed was comfy, it was king single which was amazing! There were 5 bathrooms on my floor so I never had to wait.
The location is perfect. The beach and restaurants & stores are just a 30 second walk away.

T. P.From an oldie. My stay was very pleasant. The accommodation was affordable, clean, quiet, comfortable and only a couple of kilometers from the University of New South Wales where I was working during my visit. The kitchen and laundry facilities were adequate, there was plenty of hot water in the showers and the loos flushed when required. The staff were courteous and helpful. All good.

Has a nice homely feel with a tv room with sofas and outside balcony/terrace area. The staff are friendly and helpful too :)

a. t.The location is pretty good, and for the price is reasonable. Me and a friend stayed in a twin room which was clean and comfortable so as for the dorms can’t really comment. The down side would properly be the bathrooms. They need some attention it from what I could see they were doing work on the other bathrooms. As we had a car the staff were supper helpful giving us a map showing where was free parking.

M.Dan and the team were great during my time at Coogee Beach House! It was not what I was expecting a hostel to be like. My room mates were great, other people were great, the bed is comfy and warm, and free surfboards to use! Have made some great friends at the Beach House too. Ridiculously close to the beach, Macca’s down the road...what more do you want! Will definitely be staying at Coogee Beach House the next time I visit Sydney. Thanks Dan and team!
J. S.Really nice hostel. Dan and staff couldn't be more helpful and easy going. 2 minute walk from coogee beach and buses into the city/bondi junction.
F. N.Check in was a bit hard, if you're getting into Sydney late be sure to just rock up there's a mobile number on the front door for after hours check in. That information wasn't on the website when I touched down in SYD airport. But after I could check in the next day everything was amazing. Most of the guests are longer term. The bed was comfortable, the location is fantastic, the other guests were amazing and made me feel right at home. There's more than one bathroom on the floor I was on so I never had to wait long for it at all. Would happily stay here again.

The personnal and the manager are really nice and try to give you the best experience in this quarter.
They give me tips and advice to park my car for free or to find some work.
This place is really tidy and clean. Cleaning is done every day in the commun area and most of the time all day long. Cleaning is done perfectly every week in your room. Bars and grocery stor are really close, less than 300 meters. I definitely recommand this place to anyone who need to chill or work during the week. Great place to go out with the CBH and the Pavillon close from the hostel to get some drinks.

O. S.(Translated) Very nice little, rather family-run inn, far from the factory-inns. Very well located a few steps from the beach and the shopping street, the common rooms are warm and the staff are more than pleasant!
The hostel is clean, it is also a point not to be neglected, fully equipped (washing machine, dryer, fridge, bbq, ..., free breakfast with coffee and tea also all day!
They also receive job offers from time to time which allowed me to pay myself a few nights!
Very good stay spent here!

Très chouette petite auberge plutôt familiale, loin des auberges-usines. Très bien située à quelques pas de la plage et de la rue commerçante, les salles communes sont chaleureuses et le personnel est plus qu'agréable !
L'auberge est propre c'est aussi un point à ne pas négliger, tout équipé ( lave-linge, sèche linge, frigo, bbq, ... , petit-déjeuner gratuit avec café et thé aussi toute la journée !
Ils reçoivent des offres de jobs aussi de temps en temps ce qui m'a permis de pouvoir me payer quelques nuits !
Très bon séjour passé ici !
