Stayed in deluxe entry level double bed room. Very clean and well maintained. All the hardware from water pressure to lights to air con are in tip top condition and easy to use. Add two very comfortable beds and one could not ask for more for a well priced mid tier hotel.
Recommend you pay the $45 tariff for hotel breakfast for 2 adults. It is leagues beyond its price with lot of juices to choose from and a made to order egg station. Child under 5 eat for free.
Kids club is $30 for 3 hours and is inclusive of train rides during school holidays.
Size of entry level room are adequate for a couple with a small kid. If you resides in a suite or villa, they are not located close to the main building. This can be a hassle on rainy days.

Stayed 4 nights end of January 2022. The property is gorgeous! The golf course is great! The location is central to everything!
The rooms were very mediocre. We weren’t happy with the cleaning services, we asked for the room to be made up and that was just have the bed made and towels changed. The 4 nights we stayed the floors weren’t vacuumed once and the sheets weren’t changed which is horrible especially for the class and price we paid. We had a pool access room which was great! Would’ve been nice for the pool to have been heated even slightly but all in all the pool access was great.
The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of food however it would’ve been great to have fresh vegetables available that other hotel breakfast buffets have (carrot, tomato, cucumber, olives etc).
The only thing that has affected this review is the cleanliness. Any hotel should fully service a room especially when requested.

Me and my friends were very impressed by the accommodation and facilities. The staff have been exceptional, helpful and friendly which made our birthday weekend great. Ash on reception went above and beyond to help us have a great stay. The beds were super comfortable and villa was clean. The breakfast variety was good. The only small issue we had was the smell in the bistro/brewery bar.

So many things to do inside the resort (train ride, merry go around, giant jumping thing?) .. unfortunately, they were all closed when we were there. We were informed by one of the staffs that all rides and children amenities will be opened during school holiday only. Thankfully the water park is so much fun and is quite enough to make the kiddies happy and occupied their time. On a rainy day, there is an indoor arcade, next to the hotel’s restaurant. There is also a pretty gazebo close to the entrance for children to run around and have their photo taken for a nice family photo. Breakfast was average. There were egg station, coffee station, a make yourself juice station - which was great and a variety of the usual bacon, sausages, mushroom, etc. Room was clean, customer service was good and the hotel also offered a $10 happy ride for young kiddies to go and find kangaroos every morning at 7AM. Overall the kiddies were so happy with the water park and have asked to come back to the resort asap.

The room is lovely but needs some TLC.
Communications between reception, housekeeping and maintenance don’t seem to be working very well.
The great thing about this property is the swimming pool. Nice pool and you can have drinks around it. Unfortunately some alcohol spills on the floor stunk. Wish they hosed down every night....
Maybe these are all too much to ask during the pandemic, they may not have enough staff coverage.
I don’t know how they handled during the peak season but their breakfast buffet was sooo good! (Wish everyone remembered to mask up around the buffet though...)
Love this hotel. 3star is just because of the issues we had in the room this time. It wasn’t as relaxing as we’d hoped.

Great family hotel. Kids will love the pool and water park! There’s also a small arcade. Good selection of breakfast at the buffet.
Stayed at the Resort King room. 2 single beds pushed together to form a King, it was comfy enough.

Thank you to Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley for providing wonderful service over 3 night stay at Christmas. All staff were accommodating & friendly. We had room service for dinner each night & that was delivered within a reasonable time. It’d be great if you could add solar heating to the Adult pool. Thanks again for a relaxing stay.

Very impressed with this resort
From signing in to checking out we could not fault this resort. The staff were excellent, the room was spacious clean and tidy, the grounds were well kept. We ate in the bistro which was reasonably priced and the breakfast was well received. All in all a most enjoyable experience. Would have no hesitation in recommending this resort or staying here again

Had a beautiful Christmas lunch at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley. The array of food was awesome, and so well presented.
The staff were courteous and excellent in their tasks. Beer and wine was included in the package and the Crowne served Tyrrells, one of the best in the Hunter Valley.
The 5 of us had a beautiful pleasant day and if I make it to next Christmas, which is not expected, I would love to return and do it again. Yes, seems expensive, but how often do you get to do something so special!

Came here for breakfast after a hot air balloon ride and it was lovely! Parking was quite packed due to school holidays and the buffet breakfast was very busy but very nice. Eggs were a bit watery but all other food I had was lovely. Coffee was excellent and didn't wait long, lots of different food options in the self serve buffet - hot foods, pancake machine, sweets like croissants, cereals, make your own juice, fruit etc. Overall loved the food but it was just a bit too crowded when I visited. I would recommend it though.

Excellent stay at The Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our one night stay and had a lovely balcony. We ate in the Lovedale Bistro on site and the food was generous and delicious! There was also …

Excellent resort with awesome amenities. Huge place and a peaceful location for spending your time off. Good supportive staff and delicious food. Must stay place with family. Did not feel like coming home after staying there.

COVID usually makes everything hard, but at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, the staff made it easy and comfortable. We had a lovely Christmas in our Villa and hired a BBQ from the Hotel. It came with everything we needed so we didn't really need to leave the Villa as we had bought everything with us. We also got take away from the Lovedale which was yummy and ate it in the Villa keeping the family safe from teens to 94 year olds. There is an adult only pool which is lovely but the general pool, water park and spa get's very overcrowded which is the only negative in a long list of positives. Easily solved by putting a spa in the adults only pool, which would be excellent.

There for check in at 3pm to be informed room not available. Receive a text at 4:02pm advising room is available. Over 1hr late. Go up to room where neither key working to allow us into room . Finally get in, room is hot, no air conditioning on for a cool room upon arrival. I ring reception to advise them something wrong with lock as not locking. Told will have someone come and check. Wait 30mins no
one comes. Lost so much time wasted with no room and key issues. Hired 2 bikes- gears don’t work, need to be updated. Had to change one bike as pedals didn’t move. Everything else was good with the resort. Room was nice and clean.

Room was very clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Staff were great n arrival answering questions about parking. We visited Red Salt and the food was delicious. Close to loads of wineries, chocolate and dessert restaurants. …

Hotel itself with the lobby was immaculate. Beautiful and absolutely faultless staff.
Restaurant for atmosphere was great, as was the food. Definitely a little pricey but it's a fancy hotel which is expected.
Really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, if you have a big appetite it's great for price and quality.
The grounds were lovely and very well looked after.
We stayed in a villa and not a hotel room, which is why I've only given 4*. I would.say the villas feel more like a family vacation stay at a beachside resort.
Little things like the lack of decor (living and kitchen area felt blank, no paper towel, tissue boxes, little statues or books etc), shower head was similar to an outdoor beach shower, kitchen bin was similar to those at McDonald's carparks with the UV plastic and push to open flap.
I would say also that for the price of the rooms we hoped the amenities at the grounds such as the spa and food prices would be slightly more affordable.
Nothing we could really "fault" but definitely not 4* in my opinion, I would say 3.5 and a lot of that is purely for the cleanliness and the grounds itself.
I would say the villas are for a family vacation looking to use the grounds more and possibly the hotel rooms would be more for a romantic stay?
Would 100% stay again - probably not in a villa as we were looking for a more romantic weekend than weekend getaway.

Stayed 2 nights. Previously stayed in the villa but tried the hotel room this time. Great decision. Rooms were spacious and modern. Great service during breakfast. Lovedale Bar always a hit for an "any time of day" snack. …

Had a fantastic overnight stay, staff were all lovely very pleasant and friendly. Good food and wine. Comfortable room. We went hot air ballooning was a amazing experience. Finished off with a gorgeous buffet breakfast and champagne. Would highly recommend.

I had a great 2days at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley. Very nice hotel, great room overlooking the pool, even managed a swim. Had dinner first night in the Bistro and it was lovely, very impressed they didn't overcook my chicken Wow!. Lovely breakfasts were included in my stay, and there was so much to choose from. Excellent Staff & service, Very welcoming. Bought a little "Cheeky" Art print from Loviz Art which runs out of the Hotel. I definately will come back for another stay soon, Loved my room

The new splash park is amazing, right next to the large pool and spa. The arcade was loads of fun. Our family getaway was so relaxing with the words “I’m bored” not mentioned once!! Our room was big, bright and certainly had everything we …

This is where we always holiday with the kids . The pool and the water park are amazing the food and service is always above average .
However our last stay was disappointing to say the least . The buffet breakfast was probably the most disappointing aspect, we went on our first day being excited for the buffet but There were people everywhere , with no staff monitoring the actions of some guests pushing in and shoving past . This made myself and my family and I know other guests very uncomfortable, we left the breakfast buffet after paying and without eating. And never had the buffet breakfast there again during our stay.
The pool was a problem too . There were guests that were racing down to the pool when it opened at 7.00am and reserving pool Chairs then going off and leaving them reserved And not returning for several hours . This left very few if any shaded chairs for other guests to use. It clearly states on the sign at the gate that this is unexceptabke behavior and yet it happened everyday and went unmonitored , I know this because we would head down to the pool at 7.00am took our own breakfast and stayed there , we didn’t leave the pool area and witnessed this happening continually. With 2 younger children it was the only way to ensure that we were able To sit and enjoy them playing in the pool and the water park. There needs to be more shade umbrellas to allow guests to remain under cover especially with small children, and staff to ensure the correct behaviors of guests are followed.
We have had so many wonderful times at the Crowne we will return again ( probably not in a hurry )and hope that the same issues do not arise again .

Rooms now dated, not worth the massive expense. Breakfast buffet was so packed, you had to wait to be called forward. Food in restaurant - average at best. Well over-priced and sadly won't come back. reception staff very friendly and helpful, house staff also very good. Washing machines need replacing, our dishwasher was replaced as not working. Fridges too small for self catering.. Felt ripped off after $1100 for a Saturday night stay! Unreal and disgraceful.
L.
Finally we were able to get away from home after a few lengthy lockdowns. Our stay was made very enjoyable by the excellent staff and we had a great room with comfortable beds. We also enjoyed an afternoon lazing around the pool, even the weather cooperated to make our stay so great.
M.
I chose to stay here for a wedding as most guests were also however upon arrival I was surprised to learn my room was a fair distance away from reception and not in the actual same building. Yes you can drive to the building and park out front but walking back was a bit frustrating especially with weather contributors. There is a buggy that will pick you up apparently but whenever I rang reception and concierge no one answered. The buffet breakfast at the hotel wasn't amazing but it was good. The rooms were clean and tidy, some staff were friendly.
A. L.
Overall, a wonderful venue especially with kids in tow. Only negatives were that beds were not particularly comfortable and there is not enough shaded seating in the pool/water park area, but everything else was wonderful.
P. N.
The Crowne Plaza has a beautiful location and would highly recommend for quality service, food and accomodation. The grounds were lovely and activities for kids could not be faulted, however
The crowded environment by the pool and buffet breakfast was unsatisfactory for my kind of holiday, this was not relaxing at all.
Buffet breakfast should be a booked in time frame to control crowd and noise.
Pool area was appalling people sitting on top of people and people allocating spots early, then eating breakfast upstairs, so by 9am every section was taken…
These two aspects of this holiday were unfortunately enough for me not to return to the Crowne, despite everything else being great.

This resort offers a lot for families. The resort is placed in a 100 acre parcel of land with plenty grass areas.
We stayed at the pool facing rooms behind hotel concierge desk. There were cottages in the room as well.
A few features to note are.
- water park with some rides for kids
- Two swimming pools, one next to the water park is wide and big with depth for kids and adults. Also has a safe area for kids. Second swimming pool I'd deeper but narrow and longer.
- gaming arcade, not many options though but enough to engage 4 to 10 year Olds.
- they advertise a theatre at Crowne, but this is just advertising tag line. A poorly designed over head projector and screen.
- There are other rides for younger kids but this will be boring for older kids
- They have break fast everyday included for adults. For kids they told they will charge 8 per per kids. However at checkout they charged 19.50 for each kids. We mentioned this to the check out manager but he disagreed. The person at break fast counter mentioned it's only 8 dollars. So if you are paying for kids pay it at the breakfast counter itself and do not charge it to your room.
- Rooms were nice. However we expected a better service for a 4 star or 5 star hotel whatever they claim. The conditioner bottle in shower was not filled. The toiletries are not placed in an accessible place. Eg. Handwash liquid was kept away from the basins and we had to reach out for each wash. These rooms didn't have a microwave.
Overall the resort is good, but theres a lot of little things that they can improve including clear communication on what will be charged to the final settlement and improvements in the room settings seicfially in toilets.

Love the family getaway with a bam, a wonderful experience, 100 giggling kids having fun, the vast space and French Martini was an instant mood changer, didn’t need anytime to wind down, lovely place, great art work and an hour or so from home. I’ve only been here 2hours - haven’t checked in yet.

We've received an upgrade to a villa from a room. This was particularly nice given that the family package we initially had only included one bed. We planned ahead, however. The saving points of the hotel are the pools, the free parking, breakfast, and the train. The not so stellar is that the activity area with chess was unavailable when we went. The area is used for kids zone and was only available after 12 and 4. The dragons express train got filled quickly but the gentleman came back for another round after the cut off time. The carousel wasn't operating and the mini dragons wasn't either. The pony ride was only between 9 and 10 and needed to be prebooked. There was no indication of this anywhere on the site or app. The person that gave us our key forgot about the hunter Valley zoo tickets until we realised we didn't get upon check in. She apologised but make sure you confirm everything on your email.

Recently stayed at the Crowne so we could enjoy a hot air balloon ride next morning. The staff at the hotel are all very friendly and accommodating. We dined in Salt Restaurant and was impressed with the food and service. Breakfast is buffet style with a good selection of food, but queues were a bit long in the busy period. I ordered the eggs benedict, usually a favourite of mine but it came with white bread toast and the hollandaise sauce was more like mayonnaise. Bit disappointing.
When I went to get something else, the queue was so long I didnt bother. Altogether though a good experience.

Great facilities and service, the kids area looked amazing as did the pool. We found the food in the bistro to be average and the bed wasn’t great but those are small things. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the staff were all great. Will be back with our children

From the moment we arrived we were met with amazing staff (Brooke). They made us feel so welcome. The Bar staff (Georgia) was fantastic msde amazing cocktails. Red salt restaurant the food was out of this world and our server (Lily) was outstanding. We were first time stayers at Crowne Plaza but it will not be our last, am organising our nest trip for later in the year. Thanks for an amazing time.
M. S.
Really good value for breakfast, gets busy but you can order your eggs any way you like. Hot items at the buffet gets cold but at $28 pp it is worth going - there are plenty of other breakfast options.
J.
Great location and amenities. The team were so accommodating and welcoming. Buffet breakfast was amazing and possibly the best we’ve ever had. …

Lovely stay, room was small though and the tiny bar fridge didn't get cold enough to chill anything. The mechanism for changing the temperature had been removed also.

We enjoyed our recent short staycation at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley…We thoroughly enjoyed every single second spent there…. The water park was amazing, my 2 year old loved it too… Me and my husband also enjoyed the water slides ❤️… We booked ourselves in resort room within the hotel building… It was well maintained ✅… Buffet breakfast was included in our booking… We enjoyed our share of halal suitable options… staff was well aware of halal food requirements and guided us well on what we can have from their menu…… Red Salt restaurant was amazing too as we ordered in-room dining from there… Again, the chef/supervisor suggested us halal food options (with no cross contamination)….. chef suggested options to us which were mainly vegetarian except for “chook pizza” which they said it’s safe to consume (no cross contamination)…… They were kind enough to answer to all my questions related to “halal food” and mentioned it clearly that unfortunately there is cross contamination back in the kitchen, except for vegetarian and chook pizza which they suggested to us……Though we had a wonderful experience, we would prefer booking ourselves in some villa room next time, just because of lack of halal food options available at the hotel… Villa room comes with cooking stove and a microwave ✅…

Stay was nice and clean... Stayed NYE 31/12/21, no information of fireworks nearby, so everyone randomly popped out of their room /balcony once hearing some at 9pm not knowing where they were coming from and nothing at midnight...
Breakfast next morning in Redsalt, great selection, fruit could've been a bit fresher - as not everyone would like to make fresh juice and just have it as is...
As a past employee of Crowne Plaza Newcastle, during breakfast I had witnessed staff collecting items for IN ROOM DINING orders and taking it straight from the buffet - which should be freshly made per order, as well as a staff spilling the cylinder full of water with the mushroom spoon, wiped the water away on the bench but there were no "wet floor sign" in sight, - I am pregnant and if I didn't see the wet floor I could've tripped over which could cause damage and harm to my unborn child...
As well as no hair nets seemed to be worn in the kitchen by chef's themselves nor other staff members... As well as masks were rare except for the patrons wearing them during this pandemic...
A.
A great value room the food was great and the service in the dining room was 2nd to none.
The only disappointment was our room was not ready at check in time, to be told …

We had the best stay in December. It was so much easier staying in a hotel room as opposed to a villa, easier to get around and less for parents to do and take care of.
K. A.
We stayed the one night in a 3 bedroom villa. The villa was just brilliant. The pool and water park is great for the kids. The bar and food service counters are all good.

This Hotel is pretty amazing!
There are a few things that can be fixed such as better cleaning of the rooms such as spider webs and bugs on the ceiling every room had it, around the tap a bit of grime and between the shower and sink is a build up of dust and dirt.
And there reservation staff are incredibly rude which I dont believe work at hotel they just cover all hotels for crowne.
Butttttt besides all that im still giving 5 stars because it is amazing there the staff at the hotel are incredibly kind and helpful the ammenities for a family are so good my kids had so much fun from the moment we arrived they were in kids paradise they were each given a plush toy to have on arrival, there is a massive pool which has a really large shallow end for the little ones and then a brand new water park with slides and a splash bucket, they had a games room which was really good heaps of games and good ones not old and outdated, and then there is the food and drinks, it is good especially the breakfast its the best we have experienced at a hotel and value for money you have a buffet to choose from then you get all meals freshly cooked included such as eggs benedict, avo smash, vegetarian options and more and then all your coffee is freshly made for you from a real barista not a generic coffee machine with coffee pods all brought fresh to you, the staff and cheff at the hotel were also very helpful my child has a severe nut allergy and they were just amazing they cooked everything fresh for him and it just added to our overall experience knowing we can all eat together and I did not have to stress we really appreciated it.
The resort is also located very close to everywhere we went around 10 minute drive.
And because it is such a large resort they do help if needed and drive you to and from where you need to go within the resort on a golf buggy.
The grounds are also very well kept!
I can't wait to come back again and stay even longer !

Overall, my wife and I had a pleasant stay. There were however several things that need to be brought to attention.
Prior to arrival, we phoned to double check our reservation, and spent 15 minutes on the phone to an overseas call centre, who could not locate our booking without a booking number. He could not comprehend our name, despite it spelt to him several times.
Upon arrival, our greeting was pleasant and friendly, but the obviously new staff member advised us that our room was not ready, despite it being 3pm, and she had to be reminded by a supervisor how to perform several computerised tasks and to provide an envelope of the details of our package. We needed to chase up the details of our package as nothing was explained, directions to facilities needed to be clarified, and even the senior staff member informed us that the Redsalt restaurant was closed on that particular Sunday, when in fact it was open. We drew this to her attention and she apologised. We were provided with 2 vouchers for complimentary drinks at the downstairs bar and we would be phoned when our room was ready. After 30 minutes we had not heard further regarding our room, so we again approached the desk and our room was still not ready. We requested and received an alternate room.
The 1 br villa was lovely and clean and well presented, but there were some massive weeds in the garden outside several windows. After a comfortable nights sleep ( albeit with pillows that did not suit our taste), we discovered that the two entry doors had been unlocked all night as the key had not been activated. Being security conscious this was of great concern, but was rectified with a phone call to the desk.
The breakfast buffet was well presented and plentiful with sufficient numbers of staff for all requirements. Some staff were more pleasant than others, and the abundance of open tattoos on the arms and bodies of obese staff members who wore the uniform tight black jeans was far from welcoming at meal times.
The displayed buffet directions ( eg. No entry and entry signs) were in place for obvious health reasons, but these were not followed by staff replenishing the buffet, and several near misses occurred with both myself and other guests. I obeyed the signs and staff did not, as they just took the quickest route to complete their task.
We dined at the Redsalt restaurant and were extremely happy with our choice of meals and the degustation was timely, delicious and presented and explained beautifully by our waitress. No complaints here.
There was a mix up with our pre arranged wine tour and we waited around 45 minutes past the scheduled start time. The staff attempted to assist, but passed the buck to the “downstairs bookings” who look after the packages, and the concierge, who was unable to be located. Eventually we had our tour, and was more than happy with it.
As non golfers, we did not use the golf course, so our golf credits were wasted and were unable to be redeemed on anything else. We knew this condition prior to booking, but it is disappointing that it couldn’t be redeemed for something.
Upon check out from our two night stay, the supervisor was asked how was our stay. Upon my wife’s reply of “OK” he replied “just OK?”. My wife replied “Yes, just OK”. The was no further delving into our reasoning or seeking an explanation, so it appeared that improvement of service was not forefront in his thinking process.
Therefore I thought a detailed response was warranted here.
Overall we gave a three star rating, as things could so easily be improved. The staff service, whilst satisfactory, is not up to the great standard expected.

Fabulous accommodation. We had a three bedroom villa and it was excellent. Plenty of room, clean and comfortable. Great parking, great facilities . Will definitely stay again.

Great place to stay in the Hunter - great vineyards nearby, great food at the hotel's restaurants. Rooms are clean and fresh, a great place to relax and unwind. This is the fourth time I've stayed and it gets better each time. Highly recommend.

Whilst the staff and hotel in general were excellent, my stay was let down because the apartments were not serviced at all during my 3 night stay. This is not a budget hotel and I would have thought at the price paid, fresh towels, bathroom supplies and bed made would be a minimum expectation.

The whole stay was great very polite staff the setting is perfect we stayed in a villa beside the golf course
The reception at check in first class the accommodation perfect however the air conditioning we found out later that night to be not working we had a unpleasant hot and humid night room 744
The next morning we reported the problem and went on our balloon ride upon returning to a first class breakfast reception room moved us to room 712 same layout a very well presented room
We had dinner in the bistro that night great choice of beer and drinks the meal my wife ordered fish n chips great
Unfortunately I had the meat pizza the topping was great but the base was undercooked so i ate the topping and some base but not much to unpleasant i did not complain about it and did enjoy the topping
The breakfast second day as with all Crowne Plaza hotels great the dinner was also to high standard
The second room we had temperatures changes nice and cool when going to sleep but i woke up 2 am in a sweat some kind of night reset maybe
I was encouraged by the standard of the resort I have stayed many times over many years since its opening until this trip
I am a retired Chief Engineer with 25 years service with IHG Hotels working in Crowne Plaza Hotels and Parkroyal Hotels and completely understand guest expectations and what can go wrong
Overall a great stay the negative experience of room and food would not put me off booking again

Had a pleasant stay at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley.
The room was a good size and clean. Was a little surprised the room wasn’t cleaned daily given it wasn’t a budget hotel. You can order new towels etc if required though - would have been nice if housekeeping could have removed old towels.
Found the TV system very dated - felt like it was 20 years ago - pay per view movies - wow! Streaming services can easily be synced to the TV - like so many other properties now!
Staff were friendly and always happy to help. Always a bit of a trek to get access for amenities - tennis, gym etc but understandable.
Restaurant was delicious - had a great meal there. Breakfast was lovely too. The pool areas were great, it was so relaxing being able to enjoy a day in the sunshine.
Sydney brewery on site was enjoyable and bar food there was good.
I’d recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again - but I’d say some improvements are needed plus some attention to detail.

We’ve heard so much positive feedback about this place and I agree 100%. Jordan at reception has fantastic customer service and we look forward to many stays there particularly because of him!

6 of us go up every year and we're never disappointed. This time we had an early check in to accommodate our early tour. The rooms are also spacious and cosy. However, the new lounges did not fit us and were uncomfortable BUT the staff sorted us out! They delivered another double lounge so it was perfect. Nothing is ever a problem. We love staying here year after year!

My husband and I booked the one bedroom villa. We were given the floor villa which had a wheel chair accessible bathroom. It was fine but a major issue with this was EVERY SINGLE TIME either of us showered the water pretty much wet half of the bathroom and the toilet which was right next to the shower. Which meant after showering there was also a massive cleanup that had to be done as the toilet itself and the floor around it would be wet from having a shower. This was a major pain in the a** considering we paid $1700 for the room for 3 nights. Room service food wasn’t that great for the price. But the recreational options and services were fantastic- we booked to play volleyball, tennis and basketball which was free of charge. We also rented the hotel bikes ($15 for an hour for 1 bike) which was a little expensive but it was still nice to be able to go on the property and have a look around- there are vineyards to see, a little lake with a boat and you’ll see kangaroos jumping around too. Overall the stay was great and the resort had a good vibe. I would definitely come back but maybe book a hotel room instead!

I had a good experience. I took package with ballooning which made my stay cheap at crowne plaza. I stayed in Vila which was good and clean.

Our family could not fault our stay at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, even if we wanted to. Everything from it's super friendly staff to the spacious and immaculate rooms and accommodating, family friendly facilities were a 10 out of 10. …

Had a lovely stay in a twin room with a view of the pool area. The facilities were very good though the bed was a bit hard. The staff were friendly and efficient though when I shared issues with their App and it's check-in process it was clear the issue was not going to be followed up with. A great central location at the wineries.

Very much enjoyed our stay here. We did the VIP package with villa room, wine tour, helicopter ride etc it was such good value.
Food in the restaurant upstairs was excellent. Found the bar area downstairs a little lacking in atmosphere. But every member of staff we encountered were exceptional.
The only negative thing I would point out is the TVs. They are some unbranded with Chinese writing and pretty much don't work and are in very low resolution. If you like bringing your own Fire TV/Apple TV or similar, forget it. I tried for well over an hour.
Thankfully TVs shouldn't be on the agenda for a vacation so overall we loved our stay. I would certainly stay here again.

A week before our wedding, ourselves and our guests accommodation at The Oaks had been cancelled due to a booking error. Crown was wonderful in helping with all our last minute needs for our guests as well as my partner and I. The room was spacious, well equipped and modern. There were plenty of great activities to do while at Crown and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Would highly recommend to stay at the Crown when visiting the Hunter Valley.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with another couple and had a king bed in each bedroom. Service was excellent from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The food and the service in the restaurant was also excellent with a variety of menu choices from breakfast through to dinner. I would stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Great service. They stuffed up our booking and gave us the wrong room. After realising this they quickly upgraded us to another room and gave us a $100 room credit to apologies.
Beautiful location. Pool is excellent with both a fun pool to enjoy with the family and an adults only for relaxing. Good gym. Good section of places to eat and food is great. Pool side dining options like pizza and salads is very good. All in all a great place to stay.

This was our second trip to the venue for a family holiday. The place was excellent and swimming pool was clean and well run, given covid 19 circumstance. Check in and out were smooth and staff were only a phone call away to assist. …

We especially love dinner in the restaurant.

Weekend of wineries. Room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great and service was quick and courteous. However the restaurant food needs a major upgrade. Steak sandwiches was tough and rubbery - inedible. Even the pizza was ordinary. Both these items would take very little to make them better.

I stayed at Crowne Plaza over a long weekend and it was a great place to stay however I feel the experience could be made much better with a few modifications to it's villas and townhouse style stay. First and foremost I think they could improve the services inside the unit by including a dustpan, extra rubbish bags, paper wipes, Teflon pans and more. The stovetop labels had been worn out and we couldnt tell which way is on or off. On another note, we went there to stay two nights for a special occasion and wanted to book the redsalt restaurant, tried to call them on day 1 and they didnt answer multiple times. When I finally got through they said they were fully booked two days in advance and they couldn't book us into anything. We were not warned about this despite telling reception thats what I intend to do. The pools are not heated (we were told by reception) so dont count on swiming on a sunny 18 degree day as the water is very cold, so we ended up wanting to train at their gym, but that needs some work and maintenance. Finally, the room service for the villas is non existent unless you intend to pay a 60 dollar fee. The problem with that is that if your staying more than 2 or 3 days then you will need to pay because room supplies will run short, towels will need a change and so will linen. I think there's room for improvement, but the accomdation is good and central to some of the places in the hunter region.

The room was good enough for our stay however a couple of the lights in the room weren't fitted properly or shorted out and they weren't that bright. The TV was brighter than the lights. The bathroom facility was good. However putting a footpath in between the villas towards the crossing would be recommended as due to the weather we had recently the grass was very muddy and we had to walk on the road.

Great facility. Grounds look great.
Buildings starting to look a bit shabby, need render work and painting, tile work needs maintenance. Garden lighting insufficient in car park areas, serious trip hazards. Hygiene very good. Staff excellent.
Management failure with regards to air con in main auditorium...guests needed to wear hats and coats. Serious issue regarding potential sickness. Duty manager responsibility...!!
Accommodation is good. Beds comfortable.
Will go again.

Spacious hotel, clean, good for families, great big size pool. We came here and stayed at a villa on a hot day- pool so spacious we could all swim but still social distance! Villa was generous size, each with own parking. Food was not bad either. Not the cheapest but then again, it is the Crowne! They charge for delivery to your room which I thought was nuts - 10.00 to deliver to the villa!!??!! It’s on the same plot of land! And part of Crowne! Also, need more reception staff.. always a line there.

The villas are great value for money, plenty of space. The one bedroom twin was great for two adults and a child, could do with additional bedding. The villas in front of the hotel had the best views by far with the sunset and fountains, there are some that get obstructed views with the tress and golfing nets but all in all nothing that makes the experience bad. Expect to walk through a conference or two if you want to get to the pool through the week as the quickest way there goes through lobby and restaurant line. They definitely lack signage but this might be due to the many walk ins using the resort facilities, signage for me is more important. The pool is well maintained with plenty of space, chairs and shelter. They set up a mean outdoor dinning area with live music by the pool in the late afternoon which may be COVID related either way it was a hit idea. Keep in mind the kids club is only open over the holidays at the moment. Very functional bistro that opens to the pool where you can enjoy a pub setting but still be overlooking the pool, if your in charge of the kids?! The food from the bistro is well sized and good quality, however the brown water gravy needs attention.

Also great food and service from F&B outlets. Really like a la carte breakfast ( brilliant service and options )
Just one feedback about reception staff. They really need training. Every time when i asked something to reception they need to double check with manager and service quality need to improve as well.

We had a great stay at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley. We were there to celebrate our 30 year anniversary and we had a great time and made everlasting memories. The staff at the Crowne Plaza are very courteous and attentive, the amenities such as the pool, gym and golf course are beautifully maintained. We stayed in one of the Villas and it was clean modern and so quiet. Breakfast and Dinner was A1 standard beautifully presented everything was fresh and clean. Your safety measures you currently have in place during this pandemic to keep your patrons safe is highly commendable. I would highly recommend Crown Plaza if you are planning to visit the Hunter Valley it is a beautiful place to stay. Thank you for making our stay so delightful.

Great place for a family to stay comfortably. We stayed in a 3 bedroom, 2 story villa. It was clean, wonderful amount of space inside & well stocked with linen, & toiletry items for a 3 days stay with a family of 5. Room service from the onsite restaurant facility was great too! Staff are friendly & accommodating. There are soccer goals, a giant chess set & a sand filled volley ball court onsite to be able to hang out & play games. A golf course surrounds the rooms, which is convenient. There is bike & cart hire available. All of the tourist attractions are within a 5-10minute drive, which is perfect! We would definitely stay again if in the area.

I booked this venue for my 60th birthday. Everything about the function was well planned and went off without a hitch. But the accommodation was not up to what I expected. We were upgraded to a villa which was a pleasant surprise but it was ordinary in my opinion. The lighting was so poor that it was almost impossible to put make-up on. They were poorly placed and such a low wattage that they were just about usless. Our room wasn't tidied until late afternoon which is also annoying.
W.
Very friendly and helpful staff. A variety of facilities and activities, catered for both adults and kids. We especially enjoyed the huge kids friendly pool and can't wait for the water playground to complete. Breakfast was value for money and tasty with a good variety. Perfect for a family vacation.
R. C.
The room size was good however we were told that there would be a view of the pool area with our spa room but it was of the car park instead.
The spa in our room was only big enough for one of us to fit in at a time and it wasn't worth the extra money.
My partner who booked our stay as a surprise was told there would be flowers in our room but they had forgotten to do it.
We wanted to go out for a nice dinner for my birthday but the main restaurant was closed.
The day spa was booked out, there was no mini bar and the TV channels were very limited.
C.
Thank you for the welcome amenities for our Wedding Anniversary. Really enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was the best. Only negative thing was the view of our room. Receptionist even didn’t apologies for not able to give elite upgrade

Have stayed at the Hunter Valley Crowne Plaza once before and was keen to return. Primarily I booked to attend a concert which was understandably cancelled due to bad weather. I was happy to hang around the resort area. Enjoyed the expansive grounds and restaurant/room service. Wonderful staff - nothing is a drama.
