B.Amazing place , great facilities for the family and the kids, the water park was perfect for all the different ages kids, the camping spots were spacious , on this occasion we chose the site with our own amenities and they were nice and clean and so much room to wrangle our 2yo and wash her in it. The walk to local shops , bottle shop and Cafe was the perfect distance. Only down side would be the possums and scrub turkeys getting into all our stuff but seen as they were here before us it was more of a laugh and did entertain the little ones. Highly recommend staying here with family and friends , the staff are so accommodating and you will quickly put it to the top of your list of favourite list like we now have!
A. K.I would've granted 5 starts to the park after spending a week there, but... be ready to have neighbors ( or locals?) raiding your site and community areas.
TL;DR
We stayed at a powered site with an ensuite. That part was really great. Unfortunately there were other things which spoiled our vacation.
Since the ensuite needs to be unlocked when you want to use it, we decided to keep the key in the door knob naively thinking that it's safe ( our tent and gazebo just 1 meter away ). Well... it was not. At 4AM the key was there, but at 7AM, when we woke up to go to the bithc for morning yoga, the key just disappeared.
We reported it to the reception and got a spare key and boom gate access card.
Next event, just an hour later at the time when people usually have breakfast, we realized that it would not be us that day. Out of three bags with groceries bought in the evening and left in the community fridge, only two left. One was stolen. Somebody, but not us, enjoyed cinnamon rolls, fried eggs and whatever else was in that bag.
Around the same time, we noticed that the kitchen was obviously raided by some bogans. Who else would steal bbq utensils chained to the bbq plates and bottles with dishwashing liquids ?
Ok, we reported it to the reception again. They just shrugged and pretty much said "thing happens"
Sigh.... a day after, I made lunch for the family. 2 PM-ish. An hour later, I suddenly realized that instead of 2 bags, the fridge had only one.... Yeah.... it happened again. Somebody decided to have lunch (bbq, fruits and a bottle of white wine), but prefered to use our food instead of spending money at Coles.
Of course we reported to the reception, but eventually they could do nothing about it again.
Ok, the cherry on the top... the last bag of food... In the evening we were betting if something would left in the fridge by next morning.
Surprisingly enough, the last bag was still there. Half full. Yeap.. the hunger thefts did a favour to us and took only half of what left.

s. d.Fantastic location right on the beach. Good amount of bush between park and beach so well protected from the wind. Good sized sites for large vans that back onto the bush. Great camp kitchens and clean facilities. We had an ensuite site which was well set up. Scenic coastal walks from Emerald Beach well worth doing.

The amenities are some of the best we've seen on our trip up and down from Melbourne to Brisbane. Great place to take the kids and would be awesome to spend a week or two here.
Kangaroos hopping past the tent was a highlight. Wandering onto the beach to watch sunrise is another. Watching my daughter jumping on the bouncy pillow from our tent is yet another. A surprising number of memories for a 2 day stop over.
B. M.Stopped in for a night. We stayed here 3 yrs ago and the accommodation was great. This time it felt dated and in need of repair. We stayed in 46. Broken tiles on the kitchen floor which had silicone on them but the moved under your feet. The whole cabin smelt musty we kept getting wiffs of gas all night despite checking the stove top several times. Kids loved the waterpark and the jumping pillow. We will return but hope some maintenance gets done in the meantime.

T. R.Beautiful park. Beach access is spectacular but, this park is under maintenance. Be warned NO bouncy pillow or playground. If you have young kids I'd recommend staying in Coffs instead at the moment.

A. H.Lovely location and great facilities. The pool and splash pad were heaps of fun for the kids. The park was only 15 minutes from Coffs Harbour, and right next to a really nice beach. Heaps to do and explore at the park and in the nearby Coffs Harbour area.
P. C.What a great park and wonderful helpful staff. We just spent 4 days here in an ensuite site. The ensuite was fantastic and clean as a whistle. Shower was great. So close to the beach, cafes, Pizza and Mexican restaurants. We will be back!!

R. R.Thank you to Kim for going above and beyond. We were heading to Discovery Parks Byron Bay when we realised that there were some government recommendations to avoid due to covid, so we decided to transfer our booking to Emerald Beach. Kim coordinated everything with Byron Bay to have the credit transferred and sorted the cabins out for us so that we didn’t need to do anything.
The spa cabin is great, the pool and play area kept our kids thoroughly entertained. Emerald Beach was a much better stop for us than Byron Bay.
There is also a pizza and pasta restaurant just outside the park, so it was really easy to get something to eat.
B. P.Stunning!! Amenities, landscape and customer service was fabulous! We stayed in a cabin (while caravan was being fixed) then on a powered a caravan site. The caravan park and location was spot on! We loved walking down to the beach which is right there and grabbing a hot drink and bite at the awesome general store, then walking along the headlands!!! Absolutely magical!!! We will be back!
R. T.We paid $35 per night for a powered site for two people. The sites are grassed and there are pads. Lots of trees for plenty of shade. The amenities are good and clean. There is plenty of activities for kids to play on. The pool is really warm. Close to the beach and the shops. It's dog friendly too.

The pool and splash park were open (pool was heated and nice, splash park was only for brave kids...) and outdoor camp kitchen was available for use.
Kangaroos roam the park at dawn and dusk, definitely worth taking the kids for a wander and a look.
Beach access available through a shirt path in the trees and the beach itself really is something to see.
Bottleshop, pizza place and cafe are a 5 minute walk up the road and the local reserve and playground are a minute or two after that.
If you're looking for a place to stay in this region, it's definitely worth a look.
o.Good pricing , very nice facilities even if you’re in an unpowered site, showers toilets, beach 1 min walk away, great pasta and pizza shop 1 min walk, kettle, toaster, bbq, communal fridge and freezer! What more could you ask for? Even has a miniature waterpark and decent pool. Very satisfied
M. W.Overall a good experience, with a few pain points. The cabin was clean, modern, quite large, and well furnished, including cooking and eating supplies for 6 people. Aircon in the living room, but not in the bedrooms. One bedroom had a fan, the other had nothing. Consequently, was very hot to sleep, no matter how hard you tried. Beds were rock hard, took some getting used to. TVs in the living room, and main bedroom, were fine, but reception was sometimes crackly. Spa bath had a huge crack right through the middle of it, and wasn't supported well underneath, so when you were standing in it to shower you felt like you were going to fall through the floor. WiFi was good in the early morning, but through most of the day and night it was unusable, barely keeping an internet connection. Communication was terribly poor - activities were advertised, but didn't say where they were. Advertised BBQ dinner for Friday night, didn't tell anyone it was cancelled until we questioned it, so we had disappointed kids that night who were looking forward to it. Pool was large and warm enough for us to get straight in every time, was very successful. Walking to the beach was a bit of a long wander, but was nice when you got there. Bbq facilities on site were sketchy - waited 20 mins for the hotplate to heat up, and the people trying to cook next to me had the same issue that morning on other BBQs. Lots of wildlife around, saw kangaroos and lizards every day, which was a delight. Nice location, good for a young family with kids everywhere. Liked the enforcement of quiet time at 10pm, allowed us to get some sleep. Disappointed that the kids play area was broken for the whole time, but they liked the water play area and the jumping pillow, plus the pool was always in fashion. Most restaurants nearby are only opened a few days a week, and book up quickly, and the general store isn't open at night, so be prepared to drive to Woolworths to get anything last minute. Overall a good experience, would have rated 3.5 stars.

D. P.We loved our time at Discovery Parks, very close to the beach with little roos jumping all around you. We stayed in a standard cabin, which was nice and clean and perfect for two people. There is a liquor store and a cafe very close by, we stayed off season (June), so the restaurants around were only open for the weekend.
G.The park is well run and clean. Plenty to do in the park but it is very busy with lots of young families. Close to a bottle shop and amazing pizza shop, walking distance to the beach.
H. H.Staff and location fabulous but does not really cater for the budget tent camper. Prices high compared to other parks nearby and the camp kitchen offered only basic equipment (No freezer or pots and pans, semi outdoor). However, the grounds are beautiful and we could see how it would appeal to families.

The kitchens are not too crowded, neither the showers/toilets and we were there in the middle of the season. The amenities are cleaned daily and are perfectly maintained. Great park with some nice walks and good beach close by. bottle shop just around the corner within walking distance, some coffee and pizza place as well. Will be back again
t. b.Fantastic caravan/ camping/ cabin park - especially for families. We arrived very late but manager happily organised a site for us well after hours. Brilliant water park, bouncy pillow and other kids activities. Clean facilities and very affordable. Short stroll to beautiful beach and awesome pizza shop. Very happy - would definitely stay again.

We booked the Superior Duplex cabin.
The beds were super comfy, great water pressure on the shower with plenty of hot water, and the rooms were very clean.
There were 5 of us and it was a little cramped. Having stayed in the spa villa before, I'd recommend posting a little extra for the bigger room.
The water park, and the second pool what a hit with our kids, as was the indoor play centre.

They were so accommodating when my car broke down our final day, let me check out late and sorted another nights accommodation if we needed it. It is the perfect spot and so much fun stuff to do for little kids.

The ammenities were kept very clean by a lovely lady. Reception helpful & friendly. Both myself & my partner had to queue or return when showers full as only 3 in our block. There was another block further away. Must get packed at certain times. Our stay was quiet time.
C. J.This holiday park is idea for families with children about 6-12 yrs. Plenty of exciting things for them to do which allows parents a relaxing getaway also. The beach is close and secluded. It's also quite unique and fun to explore. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming.
We stayed in 1 bedroom cabin which was quite small for us (2 adults and a 1 yr old). Would be tricky with older kids for longer than a night or 2.
Probably a little over priced compared to other places we have stayed.

J. R.A nice campsite with a stunning beach. The cabin is a little tired and dated but still effective. The camp is well laid out and had some great facilities for families with a giant trampoline, playground and a pool (although it's too small for a camp of this size. Cost was reasonable.
The village is close enough to walk to dinner, supplies or a bottle shop.

S. L. B.We are extremely disappointed with Emerald Beach holiday park and Discovery Parks head office. We are being charged considerably more than other people who are staying longer than us on similar sites. The park will not match the same pricing and I have contacted head office on several occasions and have been told that someone will call me back but no call occurred.
L. C.For me Service is more important than anything else so whilst I have not yet stayed at this park the booking experience has been exceptional with not just one but two different employees. Di was amazing is accomodating a group booking for us in Peak time. She went above and beyond to ensure we had our requested sites booked.
John on the other hand managed all the changes the following day lol. After my friend called to check on site sizes, John headed over to the park to check and in the meantime we all decided on a longer stay, increasing our dates and changing name details on one of the bookings.
This was all done without hesitation and with enthusiasm to help us so thankyou and we can't wait to stay at your park :)
B. a. J.Love this place. Our sons say it's the best caravan park they have ever been too. Fantastic facilities and the staff are the best.
C. W.The park facilities were excellent and rooms were well maintained. The service from the staff was outstanding. Our main issue, which may have been a one off, was with the clientele. We stayed 3 nights. The weekend was very unpleasant so we opted to spend all of our time off site, only returning to sleep. The park was full of people smoking and drinking in the public spaces. Even at 8:30am there were guests wandering the park smoking and drinking. Teenagers were tearing around the park on recumbent cycles/buggies racing each other and nearly ran over my 4 year old. The reason I felt this is worth a reduced star review is because many of the BIG4 parks we've stayed in have strict regulations on where you can smoke and consume alcohol to ensure the rest of us don't have to inhale 2nd hand poison and be subjected to rowdy behaviour. This would seem to be a simple solution that would ensure all guests can have a good time and enjoy the facilities we've paid to use. It was a real shame as the kids were excited to enjoy the park and didn't get to because we felt it was unsafe.
J. B.Stayed only one night in a deluxe (not the top end one, the one right below) and it was very spacious with enough room for a family of four. Ventured down to the beach for a bit before enjoying the pool. Young son usually gets cold Ina pool regardless of air temperature, so the heated pool was just to his liking. Will stay again if in the area.
K. H.A fantastic place for family getaways. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because they shut the jump pillow and kids area pool at 5. Its daylight savings and it doesn't get dark until after 8pm. Its a small thing though and won't stop us coming back. A very quiet town and beach. Lots of wildlife in the park. Extremely kid friendly. Clean amenities.
F. G.Great facilities for children! We originally intended to stay a couple of nights but extended it, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful town and excellent hospitality in the nearby restaurants. Would definitely come back! Kangaroos roaming the park as well which was lovely, watch out for the turkeys as they raided our food on the first night, we learnt our lesson after that!
P. W.This park has been a family favourite over the holiday seasons for many years. It was jam packed in the time we were there and everyone was very friendly. However it's time to put some profits back in to upgrading the park. Also ensuring facilities are safe for everyone. In particular the pool is very small and with many people understandably using the pool in summer it was simply not clean. You could not see 30cm below the surface as it was so cloudy not good.
People who had been hidaying for up to 20 years said that the original owners had the park looking amazing for the busy periods. Time to bring that care and attention back guys.

s.Lovely holiday park, lush beautiful setting, good clean amenities and facilities, fuzz free but thorough Covid safety procedures (the complimentary hand sanitizer was a lovey touch! :) very family friendly and on the smaller size which benefitted the atmosphere heaps, right at the beach and with great access to Coffs Harbour, what more do you want?
J. H.This awesome spot gets a 4.5 stars from us. Great location just over the sand dune to a lovely beach. The jumping pillow and indoor play room..and we won't forget their awesome water park provided hours of fun for my children. There was also a small games room that we didn't utilise. The only thing that stopped us from giving a 5 star rating is it lacked an outdoor playground for the cooler months(only a small spinning table atm). The amenities and the entire park and gardens were very clean and well maintained. Staff also very friendly and abliging. Would definitely recommend this destination and we will be returning.

A. O.Big 4 holiday parks have a high standard and this park meets the bar in every aspect. Staff are exceptional. One young gentleman even rang some of the local pubs for me to see if they were playing the footy. Perfect blend of foliage and open space. Great proximity to surf beach. I would plan a whole holiday around staying at this park.
A. M.Our first time at Discovery Parks Emerald Beach with 2 children (2 years and 8 years) - unpowered campsite. We had a ball. The campground is smaller which we prefer but is full of facilities. Firstly it backs family friendly Emerald Beach (100m walk). The campground has 2 well-equipped camp kitchens, a pool, water-park, jumping pillow and a soft play room. Family movies each night and kids club each morning. All facilites are well maintained. Highly recommended.

M. P.What a wonderful place to take the family! Stayed in a hibiscus cabin and it was great we had our own spa bath and bbq also a wobbly and noisy ceiling fan.
Great water park and other amenities for the kids and short walk to the beach. Wifi net was hit and miss but with so much around to do, who cares!? Will be back.

R.we stayed at the Emerald beach BIG4 mid january for 4 days with our 3 and 6 year old kids. we stayed at a un-powered campsite near the swampy (but not stinky) river ,there are a few campsites with no bush or scrub between the river and the campsite, so I suggest if you have a little toddler who likes to jump into water you ask for the campsites a few meter away from the water. The facilities were cleaned regularly, the park has an undercover open communal kitchen with a stove,microwave ,bbq,water kettle and fridge. They have a really fun water park with a section for little ones,a pool and a few game rooms.The park has a beach access which was patrolled when we were there, but I don't think the beach is suitable to swim for little children. I really enjoyed our holiday there. The staff at reception was really nice.
G. H.My wife and I have just returned home from a trip from Yarrawonga Victoria to Northern NSW . For the 1st time since selling our caravan we stayed in cabins and motels. Most were not a good experience but on arrival at Emerald Beach we checked out our cabin. What a pleasant surprise. Beautifully maintained, clean with all the comforts of home. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the Thursday evening sausage sizzle. Being in our 70's we didn't use the pool but watched the kids enjoy playing in the pool and water feature. Walking around the park we saw Kangaroos with a young joey. Access to the beach is via a short walk behind the park.
Security at the entrance is via a security gate and the park is very quiet and away from highway traffic. We stayed for 6 nights and would have stayed longer but for a little health problem which meant getting home ASAP.
Will we return to this great park??? Sure will.

R. B.1st visit. Stayed in a cabin. Clean and inviting. Close to a beautiful beach. Nice walks to the headland with wild kangaroos / wallabies feeding within 3 mts reach. Whales breaching just off shore. In the Park, the kids pool is amazing as well as a jumping pillow and games room. Close walk to coffee shop, fish and chips, pizza and Mexican. We'll be back. ♥️♥️♥️

M. K.The Villa we stayed in was quite cozy. some of the appliances were slightly outdated but it's something minor you can live with. The parks facilities that we experienced were very tidy and well maintained any enquiries we had for the staff were dealt with promptly and professionally. Will definitely visit again and reccomend to friends and family!
p.s Its got a stellar BBQ area! Like every man's dream outdoor kitchen haha.
R. T.In a fabulous location by the beach. Good facilities around the park.. a bit late opening kids bouncing pillow and pool, maybe as it's winter. The "FULL kitchen" in our superior grevilliea cabin had NO OVEN. Luckily we had just 1 nite.

C. F.We don't usually stay in caravan parks but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this one. The ensuite bathroom was wonderful, the tent suite was more than big enough, close by to the camp kitchen and we went to sleep listening to the waves crashing on the beach nearby. Even getting rained on while packing up the camp site didn't dampen our spirits.
