M. H.The stay was good but it was very disappointing that the park didn’t bother to put something on for the children on Australia Day. Most of the functions in the area were canceled, so guests were just left to find their own resources. Also the pool was so full of chlorine my grandchildrens skin felt burnt and we never went back to the pool. The website says that the office closes at 6pm when in fact it closes at 4pm.
I have been to this park many times because my Grandson takes Surfing lessons at the surf camp there. But the management does not interact with the guests. And for nearly 400 dollars a night it’s a bit rich.
S. S.We have come here twice in a month and have enjoyed our stay in the secluded campsite.
The only downside has been that the fridge in the kitchen has not been working in both occassions. The bathrooms are also very far from the campsites and are closer to the cabins that I think may already have toilets but this wasnt a big deal.
J. P.Enjoyed our stay. Very busy. Next to river. Friendly staff. Pool could be better located. Ablutions were cleaned each day but the sand in the showers wasn't washed away. Some permanent vans were in very poor condition. Access via boom gate.
H. H.Very nice place. One staff member was particularly nice to us on arrival. He relocated us to an amazing site and gave us a discount as we missed a day, Which was hugely appreciated. However our campsites were so far away from the toilets it realy was not nice to have to walk that far in the day and especially in the night time, or in the rain just to go to the toilet. (Way too far) We were there for Christmas 🎄. absolutely nothing to do for the kids other than swim. The cafe takeaway store was closed due to covid ... Yet a million people allowed in the pool 🤔however there were no other means of food items like other can parks that we have been to in the area that offer food trucks like pizza trucks, Turkish bars etc sea food trucks coffee trucks absolutely nothing. Only an overpriced icecream truck. Once you were in it felt like they didn't care what you did to be honest. Absolutely no atmosphere at all . Sorry guys . Beautiful place but everything was too far away and the care factor was nil. Boring to be honest but has so much potential ... Needs a toilet near the camping area even just portables during peak season and some kind of atmosphere.

H. S.Friendly, affordable and well looked after, Discovery Parks Gerroa has everything you need for a family holiday. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff very friendly and helpful. The cabin was nice, clean and spacious, the beds are really comfy, kitchen has everything that you need and we had an outdoor kitchen bbq on our deck which we used for breakfast and dinner. The outdoor facilities for kids were great with a large jumping pillow, playground, mini golf and 3 wheeler bikes. Our kids enjoyed the outdoor play area all day along with the beach nearby and then crashed at night which gave us nice adult time. Can't wait to come back again to stay at Discovery Parks Gerroa.

A. R.Good price for brand new cabins. Staff are great. Great place for kids. About 10 minutes stroll to the beach. Life guards near the beach entry. The river isn't really good for fishing but the beach was good.
S. M.We camped on the inlet it was fun and peaceful, it was the off season. No way I would camp there in season, too small, too crowded, watch out for the wooden steps at the ammenetie block.
J. B.Great spot. Been going for decades now. Stayed in units and caravans previously. This time we stayed in a river view cabin. Nice and spacious. Beautiful verandah. Photos reveal actual view. Well equipped kitchen. Big screen tv in living area plus another in main bedroom. Reverse cycle climate control in living area and main bedroom kept the place warm in winter. Kiosk on site. Play equipment, jumping pillow and mini golf for kids. Short walk around the river to the beach. Only complaint is the seating in the lounge room. If the cabin sleeps four there should be couch seating for four. There was definitely room for a corner lounge rather than a two seater and two random chairs. Otherwise no complaints.

A. A.The staff here were a pleasure to deal with. The location is perfect. 5 min walk to gerroa beach. The cabin was clean and I was pleasantly surprised by the spa in the bedroom and double shower. Lots to keep the kids occupied. I would highly recommend staying here.
M. J.Location was great, kids had a wonderful time,plenty to keep them occupied. Water View from cabin was amazing. Wildlife was wonderful to see. Cabin was spacious and lovely. Would loved to have stayed longer. Only downside was cabin was not as clean as should have been unfortunately. But overall it was a pleasant escape.
M. S.I give this place 5 stars because I enjoyed it so much. But first I will mention one thing I didn't like: we found two cockroaches in our cabin (25), one in the fridge and other in one of the beds.
Otherwise, I found Discovery Parks great and I would come again and recommend it to others. Beach is near and lots of beautiful nature places. The pricing is fair and the park is very well organised, lots of activities to do and the staff are so friendly and help you out.
Pool is not very big and there isn't a supermarket nearby (if you are coming by foot, first supermarket is 50 mins on foot and buses don't come frequently). This is just something to note if you are coming, not a negative remark.
A. P. L.It was ok. The cabin was nice but a like over priced for $1,200 for 4 nights. A working dishwasher and batteries in the remotes would have been nice and I was taken back by the 2 cockroaches that came to visit. We asked for an 11am checkout when we booked in, but were harassed to leave at 10am. Apart from that, the spa and 4 head shower, we're wonderful. Being water front was perfect for the kids and the jumping pillow was fun. The pool in a bit small, but did the job.

B. B.Cool place to camp. Facilities are well kept in order. Showers and toilets. They really need to clear some trees off the camp sites though because it csn end up being a tight fit.
R. S.The location is nice. There is a beautiful beach nearby. Also nearby is a nice whale lookout point with spectacular views. The hotel itself is okay. Its designed on a camping theme with lots of cabins close to each other. There are parking spaces for camper vans. There is a camp fire spot that you can use & kids play area.
N. H.It's a nice enough place if you are on a budget. Great facilities for younger kids. Seems like a large portion of the park has permanent private vans. Quick & easy access to the river & ocean & I found the staff to be fantastic & very helpful to me personally. This place has my recommendation.
G. A. L.Water view room is awesome with each room having on suite toilet. A bit lack of amenities like there is no oven nor kettle. Room is clean and blanket is warm enough. Good place to stay over all.
D. F.Have adapted to the Covid requirements well, hand you the envelope with everything your require. Nice cabins, camp kitchen looks great (did not use as in a cabin) excelleny playground with jumping pillow and fire pit (cause what kids doesn't want to play with fire)
S. T.Very clean, has everything thing you will need for glamping. We camped a few nights and made good use of the camp kitchen which has a stove and BBQ and then we also stayed in their holiday suites which also has everything you'd need to cook and enjoy your stay. You can hear the ocean from your room and it's a 6 min walk to the beach.
A. G.The cabin was spacious, fairly clean and well appointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. But the internal roadway past some of the permanent vans was very narrow and the people there were hostile, shouting at us as we drove past, and leaving obstacles in the road, forcing us to get out of our vehicle to move them. (Van with PNG flag flying in Sand Ave). Also a long walk to the beach.

J. N.We stayed at the park in a large standard cabin for one night to do Surf Camp. The facilities were great and there was a lot available in the kitchen and linen closet. Our issues was that we needed the cabin until 6 pm the next day, and they charged us for a second night even though the park was largely empty except for us.

A. C.Very nice new units, but it is not very private. You pay top $$ for the cabins but all the campers are right next to you and can see in. You have to keep the blinds down the whole time.

T. C.A safe and easy place to take kids camping. Camp kitchen includes BBQ, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle and even detergent and clean tea towels. Amenities block is kept clean and includes a kids bathroom with toilet and small shower.
