Stopped off here for lunch primarily as it has a Tesla supercharger Inna very convenient location just off the highway. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Service was efficient despite the pub being very busy, and the food was excellent. Brilliant fresh local seafood, the seafood platter was worth every penny. My in-laws also really enjoyed their meals (crumbed whiting and surf and turf). Pleasingly they were also still checking vaccination status and the staff were very good with proper mask wearing etc.
Went for the charger but would go back for the food!
R. S.Do yourselves a favour and drop in along your travels! We arrived 10 mins before lunch service was to finish. The staff were more than happy to take our orders. Food arrived promptly and the servings were huge!! Food was loved by the entire family. We will be back next time we're on a road trip! Loved it!

5. S. G. w. a. B.The meals here are sensational, and the staff are friendly. Drinks are a bit expensive and they don't stock my usual drink so that's a downside. They do have live music that is always worth being there for and there is room to kick up your heels if you wish. This place is a favourite with the boating community as there is a decent pontoon across the road where one can tie up overnight and wander over and enjoy a meal and a drink.
The river views are fabulous from the outdoor areas.

UPDATE: Attended for a meal with friends on Saturday 12th Feb 2020. Quality of preparation and what's on offer can vary depending on how much pressure kitchen staff are under. That night steak and other things were either sold out, or being saved for Sunday lunch.... I bought crumbed lamb cutlets which were small, over-cooked and plated as to give the impression they were thrown at the plate.
However, in normal circumstances the food here is good quality pub grub at restaurant priced. One could go elsewhere and get poorer food for less.

E. G.Lovely setting overlooking the beautiful Clarence River. Nice breeze drifts across the water as you sit outside and partake if some of the best menu items anywhere in this whole area. Food is presented well, tastes are sensational, meal sizes are nice and large. If this place doesn't satisfy you then nothing will. Well worth the detour off the highway for the rest, relaxation and satisfaction.

The food service was so quick. What I loved was where I was sitting I could see into the kitchen how clean and organise the Chief and crew. Love to see the flames rise from the hot plate as the Chief place a huge piece of steak on the grill. Smelt amazing. Should have ordered the Steak.

S. A.If a place meets expectations and does it with a smile, you have to rate them well. The Hotel Hilton Harwood did just that.
For lunch my partner had the pan fried barramundi with chips and salad and I had the creamy Yamba prawns on rice. Both meals were excellent. Well flavoured, not over salted as many places seem to, good sized portions, non of the cuisine miniscule here thank you, and very reasonably priced.
The service was quick in spite of the place being packed. The people working there were all friendly and seemed to actually be enjoying their lives.
You could sit inside or on the verandah or at tables on the lawn under umbrellas.
Close to the highway, I would certainly recommend anyone hopping off the Pacific Highway for a bite to eat if they were travelling North or South.
And they took Covid seriously and even marked people with a small sticker to show they had been checked in correctly. Well done as many others seem to act as if the scourge has been eliminated.

I.Classic Australian pubs setting with a fairly spacious outside drinking area. rough and ready Vibe full of hard work and locals pretty close to the river with a nice adjoining park if you want to go and have food away from the pub which I recommend. Reasonably priced drinks and friendly staff with a lot of local knowledge on the history of the place including an impressive fire.

The blackboard special of pan fried Barramundi with Salt & Pepper local king prawns, chips & salad was delicious, fish cooked perfectly and a really nice flavour to the prawns. Others had Cajun chicken salad and commented very favourably, plus Iluka King prawns with creamy garlic sauce and rice.
All in all a really relaxing lunch with friends, with good hospitality from the owners.

D. S.Went there for father's Day. We got there at 11.30 and got served very quickly. We ordered the barramundi which my hubby lived, very nicely cooked and served with salad and chips. Our young fella got the csearer salad with chicken. It was as a huge serve, he could only eat half. We got garlic bread, each slice was $2.50, quite nice. I ordered Pate entree, which wasn't pleasant, dry and crumbly. Not the best pate at all. It came with carrot and celery sticks, toast fingers and olives and feta, on a huge platter. Very large for an entree. I also ordered calamari entree. It was salt and pepper, but couldn't taste seasoning on it at all. I added salt to it. It was well cooked, soft and delicious, cut very thinly and lightly coated, served with aioli. A huge serving, very large for an entree. The staff were lovely. Meals are moderately priced, steak pretty expensive.

M. S.Sunday afternoon we stumbled into the Harwood Hotel ( Hilton)at about 12.15pm which was recommended by a young couple. Great music which made a wonderful atmosphere.We ordered Barrarmudi ,salad and chips which was unbattered.Fried lightly with herbs 5 stars.
My husband ordered a beef burger with bacon and egg extra.He said the home made pattie tasted like it was smoked.
Were both meals great.
Well none was left on either plate.
We ordered a lemon lime and bitter each as we had to drive home to Coffs Harbour.
