This is the perfect romantic getaway. The hosts were friendly and made us feel really welcome and gave us great tips to explore the region. They have thought of everything to make our stay relaxed, comfortable and luxurious. The property is absolutely stunning and the fresh bread was a nice touch. We felt really well looked after at Limpinwood Lodge and loved our stay. We will come back. Thank You Limpinwood Lodge, Matt and Tessa.

A little bit of heaven! We stayed here for our anniversary and wow we were blown away! Steve and Kay have thought of so many little touches that just make your stay just amazing. The serenity and peacefulness gave us the perfect reset we needed. Fresh bread and little walk in the rainforest were the best starts to our days here. The outdoor spa was fantastic to enjoy with a glass of wine listening to nature. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of life x

My partner and I stayed at the Pinnacle chalet for our anniversary celebration. The place is perfect and has everything we need to boost our romantic moments. Undercovered spa, firepit, the comfiest king-size bed, double showers, and breakfast ingredients provided... you name it!
Steve and Kay are wonderful hosts they went above and beyond to make sure we have the best experience throughout our stay at their property and get to see the beautiful part of nature in the neighborhood area. We feel we have made friends on our trip.
Highly recommend this exceptional place to anyone!

From the time we walked in the door, Steve and Kay were the most welcoming hosts we’ve ever encountered in our twenty years of travelling together. They provided a wealth of local knowledge and advice, and gave us all the tips and tricks for an enjoyable stay (e.g. setting phones to Sydney time so they stop switching to QLD time)
Upon arriving at our chalet we were impressed with the tranquility, surrounded by nature, feeling like we were miles from anyone. There were visible and hidden personal touches everywhere, from the candles around the spa bath to the fridge stocked with delicious juices and most importantly, Tim Tams!!!
The information book had useful information on local stores and cafes, as well as suggested activities, which proved useful as we planned our days.
On our first full day exploring we found ourselves stranded in the national park with a flat tyre and no spare (yes, we’re THOSE city idiots). We managed to get a bar of service and call a tow truck (thank you Murwillumbah District Towing - best towie ever!!!!!) to take out car and is two-and-a-bit hours back to Murwillumbah. The amazing Steve and Kay came to pick us up from Murwillumbah at 9:30pm…absolute legends going above and beyond their host duties! Kay then gave us a lift back to town the next day to pick up the car. Our stay would’ve been a lot less enjoyable without their amazing assistance.
We thoroughly enjoyed our four days at Limpinwood Lodge and will definitely be back for a weekend soon! The tranquility of the chalet (plus minimal Optus service) ensured we could relax, unwind and reconnect with one another. We highly recommend Limpinwood Lodge for a couples getaway. Thanks Steve and Kay for making our 20 year wedding anniversary a truly memorable one.

We were greeted by such warm hospitality from the hosts Steve and Kay. They were so a helpful, friendly and gave us the space to relax and unwind in our idillyic cabin. Our stay was just outstanding, the home touches with fresh hot bread delivered daily by Steve... all cabins are quiet, stylish and cosy. They are all secluded so we had our space to just relax. Cannot recommend this place enough....

This hidden little gem was a fabulous way to spend a Valentine's weekend. Steve and Kay were wonderful hosts and made sure we had a beautiful time. From the champagne and candlelight welcome to the couple's massage, we were truely spoilt by the hospitality of Limpinwood Lodge. Can't wait to book in again in winter to take full advantage of the fireplace and warm homemade bread delivered daily. 5 stars doesn't do it justice.

Absolutely the most relaxing weekend, in house massage is a definite! Fresh eggs from the live in chickens and fresh bread each morning ! The fireplace set the scene! The weather was rainy and cool, do perfect for a stay in getaway! No need for TV! View from the spa was amazing! Hosts Steve and Kaye, great people and the kangaroos and wild rabbits! Frangipani trees, best colour I've seen!

Absolutely beautiful place to get away! Loved every moment of our stay here. Bob and Robyn make the experience very personal and homey while also providing complete privacy for us. Waking up to fresh baked bread was an exceptional touch! We will be back in the winter to enjoy the fireplace and another relaxing time. Will definitely be recommending to everyone!

Nick Turner from Angel Of Light - Australia and myself stayed at Limpinwood Lodge on the weekend of the O'Heart Festival this year, 2017. Bob and Robyn are just wonderful hosts. We had an incredible stay and enjoyed every moment we had there. The hospitality is second to none, we highly recommend to all our Friends, that they stay at Limpinwood Lodge. This beautiful chalet was quiet, comfortable and warm sitting by the fire at night. We could watch the rainforest birds gathering their dinner in the afternoons, the bird calls and songs were just magical. We sat on the verandah listening to the babbling brook, enjoying the quiet of the evenings, it was absolutely relaxing and soothing after a big day at the O'Heart Festival. We will definitely be back again next year, that's for sure. The chalet we stayed in was also wheelchair accessible, so for any special requirements, just have a word with Bob for any extra care, he will gladly assist. A wonderful weekend we will never forget, the home-made bread, warm and delivered each morning, is a real treat that all will be delighted to enjoy each morning, just perfection. It was the most relaxed 'working weekend' we have ever had.
~ Robyn and Bob we want to thank the two of you for such a wonderful experience. Much love and appreciation, we will be back. Rachel & Nick ~

Limpinwood Lodge gets 5 stars from me. The owner was adorable and bakes bread for you every day. The fridge is stocked with condiments, a bottle of milk and eggs from her chickens; a bottle of port on the coffee table pairs well with board games and magazines!
The cottage we stayed in was very accessible, it had ramps, wide doorways, big shower, and the TV (with pay TV!) swung around so you could watch it on the couch or in bed. The private outdoor spa is blissful, we soaked in the warm spa and watched the rain drizzle!
There's no WiFi and no phone reception so expect to disconnect from the world and reconnect with your partner in this stunning part of the world.

I believe a good review deserves the effort when people go out of their way to make it a perfect experience. From the moment I booked this place for celebrating my parnter’s birthday, Bob and Robyn took us on the best lodge-stay experience we have ever had. I respect that they built the chalets themselves as they are beautiful!
The pinnicale room is absolutely spaceous and cosy, it includes everything that many hotels don’t. We were so spoilt. The entire location is so peaceful and it is truly an oasis to get away from the busy city life (we are from Brisbane).
We included extras at an additional cost to make his birthday more special: dinner and dessert for one night and chocolate and champagne! This was quickly organised via email thanks to Robyn.
As you arrive to your chalet, there is a secure undercover parking for one car. Outside on the veranda is a lovely garden bench to enjoy morning and afternoon tea, or to read a book and enjoy a cuppa.
Kitchen: clean, dishwasher and cleaning items supplied with all kitchen necessities and utensils and condiments for cooking, the fridge included milk, juice, eggs, sauces and spreads, fresh water for drinking, biscuits, cereal and oats. Coffee and tea is provided of course. Best part was waking up to freshly made bread each morning! So delicious! And you don’t have to pay for a minibar ;)
There is a perfect dining table for two beside the kitchen to enjoy meals and it was decorated with roses in a vase - romantic and beautiful.
Living room: gorgeous and warm fireplace as we stayed in Winter the nights were cold but it kept us very comofortable, aircon, tv and dvds along with Foxtel, magazines, throws and a comfortable sofa lounge, board games and complimentary port to drink!
Bedroom: clean, king size bed - absolutely comfortable and linen smelt fresh and clean, clock, tissues supplied on bedside and charging power board for your phones and cameras, bedside reading lamps, storage cupboard with iron, vacuum and space to hang your clothes.
Bathroom: loved the heated towel rack and big twin shower and basin area, fresh white towels, hairdryer, Swiss shampoo and conditioner, soap, sanitary bags, no other toiletries though so make sure you bring your own i.e shower cap, body lotion etc, spare toilet paper and air fresheners. The tiled floors were very cold being Winter but you can’t help that. I appreciate that the bathroom had a heated light though! There are two robes and slippers that were provided also - very fluffy and warm.
Outside deck area: BBQ - we cooked our own lamb chops and had a really nice meal using this BBQ, spa tub with bubble bath and candles, sun lounge and gorgeous mountain views!! Perfect area to wind down and read a book or listen to music.
My partner and I are both with Telstra and we had no problems with phone network service. I think there may be wifi available near the office.
The Lodge is convenient to a little town called Tyalgum - we went there one afternoon to Flutterbies Cafe which is very quaint and special, and then to enjoy some gelato at Tyalgum Gelato Shop!!
We took an hour drive to Crystal Castle which was lovely and can also drive a little further to Byron Bay.
I have stayed at quite a few hotels, resorts and lodges... this one beats many! You’re missing out if you do not stay here. Thank you so so much Bob and Robyn - your customer service is second to none!
