D. D.Terrific spot right on the Manning River!
The cabin we stayed in is roomy and has a wrap around deck / verandah with views down to the lagoon and river. The cabin has a comfy queen sized bed, as well as a mezzanine with another two beds. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering with gas stove, oven microwave, fridge and all the necessary items. The cabin was clean and comfortable.
One of the great things is the spaciousness and privacy - the property is 16 acres. So even though there were other people staying we really didn't notice them.
Taree is only 10 mins away, as is the lovely town of Wingham with it's great cafe's.
Our hosts, Suzie and Neil, were very generous and welcoming and I definitely recommend Mansfield on the Manning for anyone looking for a relaxing break. We'll definitely be back!!

A. G.Absolutely stunning location! Neil & Suzie are excellent hosts, the fresh farm eggs, bread & milk on arrival was very thoughtful. Great pool and views just gorgeous. We stayed in the 70s airstream, very private and equipped with everything you need. Perfect place to switch off and unwind.
J. W.Really enjoyable visit. Our friends had one cabin and we had the one next to it. The cabins are excellent and well equipped. The pool is next to the family house but has an excellent outlook. The whole property is stunning with a large lake as well as the river. Lots of games to play just make sure you have mosquito repellent if it is wet! The outlook from the bedroom is amazing but for some reason the French doors don’t have clear windows and also no fly screen....probably a good thing as I might not have got up had I been able to lie there looking at the view!
G. M.This was a great decision to spend couple of nights here. Koalas, wild birds and even dolphins (got lucky). Rented the cottage. Really enjoyed how the place was organised, with generous living room and verandah as well.
Nice views, territory is looked after and you feel welcomed.
Very attentive hosts. Guys, we are very sorry for the late checkout. Got carried away by the performance that our kids made for us. Much appreciated that noone made a problem out of it.

A.Heaven! We stayed in the Airstream, which is comfy, cosy and looks across beautiful views of the river and valleys (to the sounds of bird-call and cows 'mooing'). So many beautiful touches, like complimentary homemade sourdough, free range eggs and passionfruit butter. Our dogs loved rambling unleashed, and at night we drank wine by the open fire. Neil prepared the most sensational cheese platter, dinner and dessert - we will definitely be back and asking him to cook for us! Highly recommended.
N. C.Was in Taree for work and rather than stay in a basic hotel in town I thought I'd try Mansfield on the Manning -- picked the Airstream for something different and loved every minute of my stay. Being greeted with sourdough bread and eggs from the hens on site, to a lovely homecooked dinner from Neil. A lovely stay and run by lovely people. I recommened Mansfield on the Manning to anyone looking for a quaint and clean place for a getaway with lovely scenery and views across the Manning River. 10/10.
t. d.What a tranquil place to stay after a long drive. The cabin had everything that was needed with such an eye for detail. The view from the deck was amazing looking over river and the colours of the sunrise over the beautiful edge pool. Thankyou Neil for the delicious French meal, homemade bread and fresh eggs. Crumpet loved running around and having fun.

D. C.I stayed at Mansfield on the Manning recently and I am giving Jane and Neil a big round of applause for this tranquil space they have created. The cabin was clean, had fresh eggs, homemade bread, homemade passionfruit butter, and other basic needs plus two delicious homemade biscuits. This is a place where you come to relax, take time out and enjoy nature.
The views are spectacular and I loved my fire pit. I loved every minute I stayed. I could rave on forever but for now, take my word it's awesome!

The owners were lovely people and upon arrival we were given complimentary home made bread, free range eggs, home made lemon butter and milk. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to friends and family with or without kids.
J. F.We recently stayed a night at Mansfield on the Manning on our drive from Sydney to Byron Bay. We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts, Neil and Jane. The location is very peaceful and the accommodation was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast supplies, including eggs from the chickens on the property and delicious homemade passionfruit butter. The cabins are perfect for a romantic getaway and we definitely intend on returning for a long weekend. Next time we will be sure to order a home cooked meal by Neil.

T. Y. I.We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful place recently. The location (right on the Manning River), the beautiful cabins and hospitality are first rate. Strongly suggest you get Neil to cook you a little something during your stay - the cooking is beyond belief.

L. T.This place is just magic!! Perfect spot to unwind and relax - and it is pet-friendly! The river cabin is devine - I felt like I was in a fairy tale!! - and the sourdough - well let's just say I never realised bread could taste that good! I will definitely be going back as soon as I can!
p. y.What an amazing retreat! Clean and comfy accommodations, surrounded by some of Australia's most spectacular landscapes and views, 5 stars does not do this place justice. Jane and Neil were the perfect hosts. Amazing food, wine, relaxation and great company. Can't wait to go back.
A. L.Little slice of Paradise a few hours north of Sydney. This is a beautiful private 15 acre property with a variety of available accommodations; genuine Airstream caravan, 2 cabins and a generous 3 bedroom cottage with large communal areas. The owners Neil and Jane are wonderful hosts... Oh yeah Neil happens to be a 5 star chef so if the concept of a holiday doesn't include cooking for yourself then you can order food delivered right to your table from Neil's kitchen. Plenty of Activites available but also plenty of table and chairs set up so you can just relax, enjoy the view and listen to the abundant bird life. Dog friendly!!! Bring the fur baby and they will enjoy the large areas to run around. Just make sure they realise the greenery on the lagoon is not a continuation of the grass unless they enjoy swimming lol
L. P.Simply lovely ... cosy cottage and nice deck overlooking the paddock ... a great setting. They allowed a one night stay and our well behaved pooch. The dam is a stroll away from the cottage. Will certainly go back there if we need to stay over or to take a break for a couple of days!

Our granddaughter's wedding here and was such a lovely place .The accommodation was brilliant .very comfortable and clean and well supplied for all your needs.

G. K.My son's wedding was held here on 17/12/16... What a beautiful, picturesque and magnificent property.
Neil the owner, couldn't do enough for us from when we arrived to set up through the following Sunday when he supplied all the breakfast items whilst we were cleaning up. The location of the Ceremony was in a perfect location with bushland and Manning River in the backqround. The marquee used for the reception was next to a large dam and the thunderstorm that lasted about 15minutes couldn't even spoil the day.
Some of the bridal party used the 3 bedroom Cottage and 2 x1 bedroom Cabins located on the property and from all accounts these were extremely well equipped and clean. They were at a very high standard.
There were some very minor issues however this was only Neil's 3rd official function on the property, it was an excellent and well managed event.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this location as an overnight or even longer stay or for that official event like a Wedding. Neil showed that extremely positive attitude of willing ""to work with us (the hirers)" to ensure that our event ran smoothly.

B. C.Being a work traveller this place provided a tranquil atmosphere to unwind from the driving. I was greeted by the owner Neil, a passionate chef who came with a basket of goodies. The highlight was his famous homemade bread, fresh eggs from his hens and his own delectable lemon butter! I was quite taken by the beautiful aroma and crispy crust of the expertly made bread! I love to try the passionfruit butter next time Neil! I highly recommend you try Neil’s dine in menu. You should call him at least 24 hours before. It was so convenient to drive to Taree where my meetings were held.
D. D.Beautifully located on The Manning River. The owners were amazingly attentive with one night the dinner being made. This included oysters and perfectly cooked steak. The cabin had a loft which was enjoyed by the kids.
A. D.A gorgeous, pet friendly retreat. Our dog loved running off leash along the river and the cabins are very comfortable with all extras you might need. It deserves more than five stars!
C.This is a great place for large bookings. Neil and Jane really look after you. The food we had the other night was sensational and we enjoyed the views of the Manning River from the outdoor tables on the deck.
s.Great place for a relaxing time away. Well thought out with very comfy & clean accommodation. Lots of things to do in the area and they have kayaks and mountain bikes you can use. Let Neil cook for you!

1 Easy to check in. Accepts NSW stay vouchers.
2 Host - Neil is very friendly - gave us fresh farm eggs, milk, bread.
3 Cabin - cute but can't use deck when rains. Not too well designed.
4 Deck & outdoor furniture were dirty. Fridge was dirty & stinky. Freezer very small & frozen with ice. I had to clean all of these.
5 ACs did not work. Had to be looked into.
6 Kitchenet & counter smallish.
7 Not many decent places to eat in surrounding suburbs.
8 I had to do cleaning, washing & grocery shopping - not much of a holiday, especially when I went to relax on my 6oth BD!
9 I left the property much cleaner than I found it.
10 Could do with a little cleaning, maintenance & consideration.
10 Nice property for a farm stay.
