N. Z.Absolutely love this place. We are serial offenders. With the beautiful beach across the road, pool restaurant and tennis court facilities happy days for all ages. We have found all the beach houses we have stayed in to be very comfortable sizes and definately warrant the 4 star rating. The managers and staff are super friendly and helpful and glad to hear Wifi is on its way. Keep up the great work team.
A. G.I just want to thanks Tracey and all the restaurant team, for giving a bit of garlic and save my Christmas Eve dinner... My internet was not working and I probably would get lost there trying to go to a shop and my misses needed for a very traditional Lithuanian dish. You guys were amazing!!!!
R. N.Great place for families. The swimming pool will keep the kids busy allowing you to enjoy a drink and a meal at the restaurant. Even when it's busy the staff are very friendly.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom self-contained cabin. On the first night we found and dispatched 3 cockroaches. The cookware had definitely seen better days, as had the ironing board. The phone wasn't working at all, and there was no WiFi in the cabin.
There was also scum and mildew/mould in the bathrooms/shower stalls.
There was a wedding or some other event in the hall above the restaurant, which meant the restaurant wasn't open to guests for dinner, and the sound of the event was heard throughout the resort.
For >$300 a night, and comparing to what you'd get for that much in hotels or larger resorts, it just didn't add up.
I couldn't recommend Mobys to anyone wanting a weekend away. Again, considering the price point they have positioned themselves at, even outside of school holidays, it was underwhelming, if not disappointing.
P.Great village of units perfect for families and those looking to get to the beach quickly.
Blueys beach shops are just over the hill and the Mobys cafe and restaurant aren’t too bad either. One of my photos you can see with the fridge open, had a few small issues like this, needing defrosting etc. but nothing major and the reception were helpful whenever we had questions. The pool is also great for kids. It was a bit packed some days and closes a little too early in my opinion but otherwise a good layout.
Boomerang and Elizabeth beach are nearby. Plenty of options to get to the water.
A short drive to seal rocks and the lakes.
We loved the area and already booked to come back in a few months.

E. K.This is our second time at Moby's. Lovely place for a home away from home. Well equipped villas, clean and spacious. The water pressure could be better but temperature is good. Balconies are great with a BBQ on the deck but need to hire or bring a gas bottle. Friendly and helpful staff, particularly in the restaurant.
We also booked an independent masseuse who then came to the day spa room by the poolside. There are good takeaways nearby: Huey's pizza, fish n chips and Thai. All just a couple of minutes drive from Moby's.

C. M.Could not be better! Two families stayed in adjoining villas. The most comfortable bed and hotel-quality bedding. Lovely and secluded because of all the palms and gum trees. Great tennis court, pool, spa and bar and fabulous staff. And very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!
T. L.We were delighted how spacious and private our 2 bedroom villa is. Both bedrooms have a spacious ensuite. The outside patio is among trees and good for an afternoon drink. It's 2 minutes to the beautiful Boomerang beach. We go there every morning for a walk and sunrise yoga. The resort has a restaurant, with a small menu. Probably best to buy some local seafood for dinner or Uber eats. We had a good time here.
s. g.This is a great place for family holidays. Close to the beach with good onsite facilities for kids and families. Cabins are well appointed and have BBQ, you need to rent or bring a gas cylinder though. The bar that is onsite but independently run is only soso but convenient.

S. B.Beware no wifi within the premises (only at reception area). And if you’re using vodafone (and maybe some others), no signal or internet at all (please invest in a wifi network given we cannot be the first guests going through this)
The minute we walked in we had a cockroach in the living room(ok, nature).. We had to keep the shades closed cause everyone walking could easily see our bedroom. Everything is working extremely noisy (washing machine&fridge), very strange. I also don’t understand why the basin is inside the room (not in the bathrooms?)
The “white and black espresso” cafe only opened up at 11am and didnt serve coffee on saturday (maybe a separate entity but i wish i read this review before booking) Overall for me an average (actually slightly below) experience and an average rating.
K. L.This is a beautiful resort with lush tropical gardens, inviting lagoon pool and great synthetic tennis court, staffed by attentive friendly hosts. It is very close to the beaches which are pristine and spectacular. Strongly recommended for families with young children on bikes and scooters.

Located a short stroll from Boomerang Beach this is a fantastic location to relax as a couple or with kids - we took children this time but will be back to enjoy an adult weekend.
The accommodation is bright and airy, well-appointed with plenty of space and privacy. The facilities were clean and well maintained.
A few things to note if your planning a winter trip, as it's not peak season you may find local eateries are closed. It's only a 5minute drive to Frothy Coffee boat shed at Smiths Lake for a coffee or 20 min into Forster for shopping and restaurants.
Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend Moby's Beachside Retreat for all travellers
A. G.We're regulars... We love it! The beach houses are private and well appointed. They're conveniently self contained, but when you want to indulge you can order room service or maybe dine at the restaurant/bar by the pool.
We also love the kid friendly atmosphere. They always seem to make new friends within a few hours of getting there.

The gardens and paths had been maintained and attended to on a regular basis. It was a pleasure to stay at the Moby Beachside Retreat. We will be back again. A. F.Great place, most beautiful garden. Just depends on what house you stay in. Kids very much enjoyed the amazing lagoon pool which is in fantastic condition. Also Mobys Restaurant has good quality food.

The cabins are large, modern and well fitted out with sizable kitchen, ceiling fans and good size tv. Surrounded by trees and well maintained gardens, the park has a sensible green feeling without being overrun.
Within the park you'll find a good size pool, tennis court, restaurant and relaxed bar.
The beach is less than 100m away, with alternate beaches a short drive and Forster only 20 mins in the car.
W. K.A cozy collection of individual beachy style cabins half a block from Boomerang Beach. The bar and restaurant serves excellent, delicious meals overlooking the pool area.
The only criticism is we were allocated a cabin in the far corner of the resort which you needed a map to find via an overgrown path and was well away from any car parks, yet there were dozens of vacant cabins with car spaces right beside them. Also a request for late check out was denied even though it was mid week off season and nearly empty.
To their credit we were offered early check in but were unable to take advantage of it.

A. T.Great family resort, excellent accommodation, so close to the beach. Pool a bit small and really a kids place. Adults could do with a pool/spa of their own. Overall tho, beaut place. Will be back
B. S.Great resort if you have small kids. A safe enclosed environment but, not great if you want to sleep in, in the morning. Floor was sandy and needed a clean, stove only had 1 working plate. BBQ was wonnky. WiFi only accessible in reception.

Well appointed villas with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Our villa also had car parking, air conditioning, tv, kitchen, laundry and outdoor seating. Close to Myall Lakes, Forster, Seal Rocks, etc.
Z. C.No door on the main upstairs bedroom. All the bungalows are packed closely together. Better for kids and young families. Get an outer rim Bungalow with quiet neighbours and it is a great place to stay.
