R. A.I was absolutely delighted with my stay at Oaks Hotel. I was so happy that the staff managed to place me in an upper-floor room, as per my request -- the city views were nothing less than spectacular. I felt like a rich business traveller, even though the price of the room was very affordable.
Staff are super friendly and professional, the room was extremely comfortable with a sumptuous and relaxing bed, huge TV, and neat kitchenette. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hotel.

L.My one bedroom is very clean and LARGE, feels like an apartment, with private hallway inside my room,lots of wardrobe spaces, bed is clean, comfortable, kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal, washing machine is very clean.. my view is of the train, but don’t worry you won’t hear the trains, when you close your door from the veranda. I would recommend 100%. The front staff was very kind and friendly, location is walking distance from the central train station. 5 minutes.

I live 30 minutes away from the City so it's nice to get away and not pay too much for a huge one bedroom apartment with beautiful city views. The apartments are always clean, comfy beds and most of all, very lovely staff. It's also a stone's throw away from many shopping centres and various other attractions, and sites to see right at your doorstep. Highly recommended Oaks on Castlereagh for all reasons.
S. D.Nice place to stay with the family and only a short walk to China town and paddy’s. Little noisy at night but you expect that in the city, kids loved the pool and spa. Room wasn’t quite as clean as some of the more expensive places we’ve stayed but over all an enjoyable stay.

The worst thing about it is that the curtains are just for show. They don't cover the window so if you plan to have a sleep in you'll be disappointed. You'll be waking with the sunlight.
The final disappointment was that you're right next to a train station, and will be hearing them all day. This may be a positive for those who want to get on a train fast.
n.Most of it is good it has a pool table tennis room and a gym. The downsides are that most of the time I've stayed here we've only had 1 elevator working and the wifi us really bad only 200kbs per second when downloading something. Overall it's alright
L.We had a really great apartment with spectacular city views. Close to the light rail, Paddy's markets, Capital Theater, Chinatown and Darling Harbour. Customer service was awesome!

S.This is a small note in Appreciation of my stay at the Oaks castlereagh where I spent 5 weeks, in fact I booked in for only for 4 weeks but I took a special liking where it was situated and close to the light rail, moreover the friendly staff specially the Manager Ramesh who helped me regarding the booking and looking after my stay and inquiring into my needs all the time and particularly coordinating with the the staff in case if I needed anything at any given time. I felt I was a special guest having met him for the very first time..!! I strongly recommend this Hotel.

M.We have always regularly visited Sydney, found this place April last year and LOVED IT .. loved the location , the ease to drive to it, the resturants and bars close by, public transport on the door step, quick walk to Pitt street Mall, stayed here now 3 times since July, and love the rooms , the space, the ammenities and the staff are just wonderful! Already Booked another stay In January, with another December one with all goes will this end.
You won't be disappointed, we have stayed as a couple, with our son and with friends, never been disappointed, rooms spotless, beds comfy and best showerS!

V. V.Nice and well staffed. My second stay here has been pleasant. The pricing was good but the rooms, I’ve noticed, since my first visit was almost the same, also comparing it to the same booking from other travellers in my group, it seemed not two bookings are the same.
Got the short stick. Also annoying smokers on the balcony from adjacent rooms, could smell the smoke fill up the entire room at night.

The hotel is located in a very convenient location. A short 5 minute walk to supermarket, train station and buses almost right at the door.
Rooms are clean, tidy, spacious comfortable and well appointed.
I look forward to staying here again at some point in the future.

Although it does have some flaws such as an incredibly shaky elevator and some sub-par amenities such as the so called "games room" which is just a locked room with a table tennis table. The room had a nice view of Market City and is right in the center of everything and we quite enjoyed the stay.

The rooms are well maintained however as they are part of a shared building we found common areas needed some TLC. The staff in reception was very helpful and went out of their way in their response to my wishes. We didn't want to leave.

L. H.Functional in the way a cheap 'nice' hotel is. TV remote didn't work because the batteries were leaking acid, shower door is broken and doesn't slide etc etc. Just a multitude of little things that mean I doubt this place should count as a 4 Star hotel. Not terrible though, especially for the price I payed through a last minute deal, and reasonable comfortable.
J. V.Decor is very very dated and standard double room was very disappointing. To their credit staff were responsive when my room had a major air conditioning fault, I was swiftly upgraded to an apartment. This room was better but still suffered from the same decor and tired feel issues as the rest of the hotel. Was very rudely and awkwardly intruded on by Maintainance early in the morning, well before check out. It made me very uncomfortable. Your money will go further elsewhere. Not worth it. Won't be returning.

G. n.Stayed he for 3 nights, I found the room i stayed in was perfect for 1 or 2 people, it had all the facilities and utensils for cooking and eating, bathroom was clean, Sony flat screen with foxtel and DVD player, bed comfortable, cleaned sheets every day, yes you hear the trains and they do sound the horn then coming in or out of the tunnel that's out of the hotels control i just used ear plugs no complaints here. I'll give it a 4 out of 5. I enjoyed my stay here.
T. M.Not knowing what to expect we couldnt have been happier. The gym had plenty of equipment. The studio is clean but basic. The place is centrally located a short walk to the Central Rail Station (the station is approximately 15 minutes form the airport @ $18.00 per person); and an easy walk to Darling Harbour.
R. M.Right in the middle of Sydney CBD. All important places in Sydney are quite accessible, mostly by walk. Hardly five minutes walk away Central train station. I went to Opera House several times by walk, it hardly takes 20 minutes. Rooms are well maintained. All rooms are equipped with an induction stove. Ask for a room with main road view. Laundry is very expensive, self service one in third floor has just 3 or 4 washing machines. Overall it's a very good place.

J. M.Pro: Comfortable beds. Spacious apartment and balcony. Modern appliances. Air-conditioning nice and cold. Strong water pressure comes out hot right away. Bath and shower both amply sized. Convenient location close to everything.
Con: Lots of dust in the air vents/filter with slight mildew smell. Strong smell from carpet, maybe too much shampoo that didn't get rinsed out? Parking is a pain: There are no signs telling you where to go or how to exit and the space is tiny. I had to park the passenger side right up against the wall so that I could wiggle out. Seems to be par for the course in Sydney...
Pros outweigh the cons. Would stay here again in a pinch.
S.Fantastic location, close to central station, shopping at world square and a block from the Capitol theatre. Also opposite a large parking station (which keeps the traffic down as unless your parking you don't need to be on the street). Plenty of food options, some great Thai restaurants in the vacinity. Room was great, lots of space and a (small) full kitchen. Great view from the 28th floor! I did use the iron and manage to short out all the powerpoints which was pretty annoying and there were no tissues which was a bit weird. Plenty of room in the bedroom for luggage and maneuvering around. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient.
J. J.This reminds me of old 70/80s hotels in Korea but the room was tidy and clean. Staff are friendly but they seem to hire international students/workers so if you request anything complex, you might be frustrated. If you look last the dated decore its a great value option in central Sydney. Walk down a block and you'll find one of the hippest Sushi restaurants around. Large lines tho.

P.Great location as it's around the corner from Chinatown, room is really nice on 6th floor. has a kitchen with microwave, electric gas and fridge/freezer as well as a toaster and kettle of course. room is quite spacious. Stayed here for 6 nights. Daily room servicing is extremely poor! From emptying bins, to replacing shower gel and vacuuming the room. Also paid over £1,000 for 6 nights and do not even receive free WiFi!! Only 30 mins free per day.

D. O.Rooms are pleasant and clean, although the foyer makes it look less inviting. Location is convenient to Central and Museum, but if you are sensitive to road and train noises, this might not be the place for you.
M. L.The apartment is clean and well set up with a kitchenette. It is a busy part of the city so you can hear the traffic clearly (but I'm from a quiet city), but it is well located, close to restaurants and the train.

V. G.Apartment is good and spacious. Staffs are really helpful and cooperative. All basic amenities are available in the apartment. Reason for 3 stars is because of complementary wifi. Now a days any other hotel, they used to provide at least a GB high speed internet per day with no cost but here you will get only 30 mins complementary wifi in a day which sounds weird now a days. Other than 30 mins it's unaffordable internet charges with limited GB and later speed will reduce to 512kbps which sounds more weird.
I am happy with all other amenities and services provided by the hotel management and staffs.
Advice to hotel management, it would be good if you can think on your wifi complementary because I opted your hotel for my work and it is difficult if there is no internet services available. My personal opinion I would not be advising my friends and families to opt for this apartment only reason of internet services.

A. H.Clean, Convenient location. Only problem is that the king size bed is made by putting together two single beds so u cannot sleep in the middle of the bed. It hurts the back. You have to sleep on the left or right.

A.Great value for money if you are looking to stay close to the Sydney CBD. My apartment was not even $150 per night had one bedroom with a queen sized bed, seperate bathroom, kitchen, lounge and an outdoor balcony which is a must for me as it's always so nice to relax outside with a view. I will most likely choose Oaks the next time I need to visit Sydney.

M. D.Positive s: room is clean (I did see a splattered mosquito on the wall but I will ignore that), decent gym equipment and location. Negatives: gym doesn't have a air con, doesn't have tv or any other entertainment system, the corridors needs painting, taps are leaking, water pressure is well there is none, WiFi isn't free and there's no toothpaste and toothbrush.
T. M.The location is within reach of most of the main hot spots in Sydney CBD and yet tucked in a quiet corner. The rooms on the higher floors are much nicer than those on lower floors. Noise from neighboring train station is like an alarm clock every 10 minutes from before dawn.

T. M.Oaks on castlereagh is a loverly hotel, the room had everything we needed for a few days stay in Sydney. Location was good with easy access ex Museum or Central stations. The hotel parking was secure but getting to the allocated parking spot was a bit of a maze.
T. M.The room is certainly not sound proof and if you have a room facing the main room like mine, prepare some ear plugs. We were stuck on our floor for forty minutes. Friends of ours stayed in oaks at Hyde park at the same time and were disappointed with their experience.

H. D.The building shares services with residential apartment. If you want unlimited wifi connectivity, you need to book directly to the hotel website not 3rd party . However, it is good location near amenities, train station (central or museum station), bus stop, China town and other shops.

One thing to note however, is that, within this building houses residential apartments, and being in the asian part of town, you may encounter strong smells of fried fish during your stay. Obviously the folks at the Oaks can't do anything about that.

Einfach alles modern und sauber. Wenn wir mal wieder kommen nehmen wir dies Hotel wieder. Auch die Lage war super, 200 m vom Central Station entfernt, besser geht es nicht.
