Had an amazing time at Paperbark this week. Beautiful location, food at the Gunyah (restaurant) was top class and all of the staff were very friendly. 10/10 would book again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful staff! Beautiful bush camp. The perfect place to get away from city life. No distractions other than great walks, thick bush, birds and a river.

We dined on a Sunday night. The restaurant was full but plenty of space. Great bush views.
Come for the location, come for the food, come for the service, come for the experience.
Just a couple of kms out of town in Woollamia. 20 bucks in a taxi.
You arrive via a dirt road which leads you through the bush to the Gunya restaurant.

I didn't k ow what to expect and was blown away. When I was told it was "Glamping" there was no suggestion that there would be a 4 course meal with paired wines for dinner - and it was fantastic food, service and location. The setting is beautiful and quiet but just around the corner from adventure. Get up early and get on a kayak on the river! Dont be afraid to come in the cooler months, the main building has a fire place and lounges for a comfy evening drinking wine and playing chess or card.

Great for a few relaxing days away. Food in the restaurant is 1st class. Staff very friendly.

Super friendly staff! Amazing place for a little romantic getaway. Restaurant food is amazing

Wow with an extra serve of WOW. Me and my girlfriend stayed on the June weekend. It was cold. It was wet. It was windy. But nothing took the shine off our experience. Kyle seemed to be our ever present everything for the weekend…check in, cart collection and luggage drop off, barman, server, and amazing local knowledge of ingredients and attractions. The tent was perfect. You don’t need more than a comfy bed and hot water bottle in winter. And the outdoor bathroom was natural luxury and very liberating. The food was quite outstanding and we went without lunch both days. A hearty high variety breakfast that will warm the cockles and fill the belly with goodness, and then brilliant fresh ingredients wonderfully balanced for dinner. And sitting in front of a roaring fire in between. Perfect mix of great service, attentive without being invasive, and friendly. Strongly recommend. Thanks for a memorable weekend.

The best of glamping. Get the Kookaburra room. It's right in front of the mangrove where kangaroos eat in the morning and at dusk. It's also at the end of the path so it's more private than some of the other tents.

Feel million miles from anywhere. So quiet and peaceful with the luxury touches to make it an unforgettable time away.

Little gem hidden in the heart of Jervis. Beautiful surroundings, lovely staff and absolutely delicious food! I will give you my best tips: sleep with the curtains open and wake up with the view + sound of the forrest... dreamy!

Absolutely incredible.
The food was incredible. Special dietary requirements were met with enthusiasm not frustration whixh is so refreshing for me. The wait staff were incredibly well trained, thoughtful and personable with none of the ego that can with this type of venue.
The owners were working in the business and do so with such pride that it shows in every aspect of the business.
I booked a massage and was blown away by the attention to detail and skill of the therapist. I've had hundreds of massages and this was definitely in my top 10.
The tents themselves were luxurious without losing the essence of camping, with the bathroom being partially exposed. This gave the feeling of bathing outdoors while still providing privacy. I can't wait to go back.

Yup it's expensive but the food is great and the vibe is on point.

The most magical place to hit reset. Beautiful, rustic, well maintained tents with every need thought of, exceptional food and service (particularly Gemma) and plenty to see and do. Thank you so much, we can’t wait to come back already. x

Absolutly amazing place everything was quality. The food was outstanding, very friendly atmosphere and clean.
The staff were very friendly and excellent service. The food was pricey but worth every cent. I highly recomend to anyone thinking about dinning out there.

We stayed the weekend for our babymoon and we were really impressed with everything from the customer service, our tent, the location, access to canoes and the food! Special shout-out to Kyle for his excellent customer service and making us feel so welcomed :)

Watch out for the cheaky Kookaburra! Paperbark is a fantastic place, very peaceful and quiet location not far from Sydney. You can really get away, disconnect and let someone else do the cooking while you laze around in your "tent". Staff were excellent, meals were all very good and the Chef did a great go being accommodating of my dietary requirements. Very happy to go back.

The staff are absolutely wonderful - a big shout out to Kyle, Chris, Gemma and Sophie! The facilities are great for those not wanting to rough it but still want that camping feel! The food at the Gunya is 5 star - a massive thank you to the Chefs - you are incredible! Definitely recommend this - so peaceful and tranquil ✅✅

I don't know where to start. This place is one of a kind. I appreciated every second I spent there. Even though there's limited electric access but it didn't bother me at all as the holistic experience and nature gives you joy and relaxation. The dinner and breakfast was better than I expected too! I would definitely recommend everyone who would want to have nice glamping experience.

Wow, Paperbark Camp was such an amazing experience. The accomodation was unreal, from the handmade products in the bathroom, to the outdoor shower, to the comfy beds.
And the food is unbelievable, a true dining experience - we were lucky enough to stay for 2 nights and enjoy the Sunday Roast (leaves my nanna's for dead, sorry nan!) hands down one of the best roast lamb dishes I have ever eaten. Lastly and I think most importantly, the staff were very helpful and kind, shout out to Chris who truly made our stay even better.
If you are thinking about staying here, do it! It will be an experience you'll never forget.

Great experience! Love how eco-friendly the activities are and the amazing animals you can see and hear on the property.
Everything we needed to know was told to us at check in (lady who checked us in is amazing) also more info is in the folder in your tent.
We had a possum visit us in the middle of the night in our bathroom,on a mission to find some food. As city folk, we were amazed by this experience to say the least.
The food at gunyah was great, the noise can travel from the gunyah, especially with group diners.

We stayed there for the last two nights of our honeymoon and really enjoyed it! I also messed up the booking and got the dates confused and they were flexible and supported shuffling our booking along 24 hours - on a weekend - for no charge!! Such a relief!!! The food was high quality, the fireplace cosy and I LOVED the outdoor bath tubs. The staff were friendly too, and had loads of local recommendations that were spot on :)

Right in the woods with a lot of natural beauty. This is a perfect place for breakfast. They also provide accommodation but we didn’t stay. Their breakfast buffet has a lot of variety and people here are just lovely. Def recommend if you prefer soaking the nature in either for a weekend getaway or a morning feast

We had wonderful three nights stay. Breakfast and dinner was delicious 😋 and staff were both professional and very friendly 🤗🤗🤗.
Highly recommended. Definitely coming back.

We had a really wonderful experience here, the food was beautifully presented and as delicious as it looked. They accommodated dietary alterations to the set tasting menu and our waitress was hugely knowledgable about the menu, provenience of the food, and suggested a good pairing wine for the meal. She was friendly, personable and had a lovely manner. Even though there weren’t many other diners it didn’t detract from the ambiance; we enjoyed the secluded atmosphere sipping our cocktails by the toasty fire. The restaurant is in an incredible location hidden away in the middle of the woods, with a huge open plan dining room and plenty of wood burning fires to add to the rustic feel. We left feeling happily sated and that it was great value for a 5* meal.
J. L.
Agree with the fact it is overpriced for the experience. Service was top notch but for $800+ a night for the luxury tent, it would’ve been nice if they comp’d the massages or a spa experience. The downstairs area underneath the restaurant is a nice place to relax in theory but as it wasn’t enclosed, the furniture and hammocks were a little bit damp so there’s not much to do after dark to be honest. It would be great if management could take this feedback and plan for some upgrades in the future, overall a lovely stay but wouldn’t recommend for the price.
P. S.
This place is absolutely amazing!! Unfortunately when we visited, it was storming and hailing. But still, it was a magical experience. The restaurant and hang out place is really nice and the food and drinks are amazing! There’s also chess boards and a fireplace, we had a really fun night! But a word of warning to those that think glamping is not camping, it’s definitely still camping - it’s out in the open (hello mozzies) and surrounded by wildlife (possums on the roof of the tent and in the bathtub). But it’s a really nice and grounding getaway from the city, highly recommend.

With friends, my husband and I went for dinner at The Gunyah Restaurant at Paperbark Camp. The whole experience was marvelous, especially the food. It was one of the best meals we have had at any time, anywhere in the world.

Absolutely amazing and relaxing place to stay.

The place is kind of cool, but it is massively overpriced for the experience. We spent here one night during the week between Christmas and New Year. We understand that this is absolutely peak season, but for one night they charged us over $800. For that type of price we were expecting a really luxury experience, but there is nothing luxurious about this place. It is actually quite rustic. The concept is cool and the tents are actually nice, but by far not worth $800.
I was so annoyed that it kind of ruined my stay. But let's assume for a second that they charged what this place is worth, say $300-$400/night. Then I would recommend it. It's a very special setting and quite a unique experience.
I woul definitely not recommended this place for the price we paid, but if you can get a decent deal, then go for it. It's going to be fun. Again, it's very basic and rather uncomfortable (especially on a hot day, since there is no air conditioning anywhere and tons of mosquitoes), but unique.
The restaurant on the other side is fairly priced for the experience and highly recommend. The 3 star rating is a reflection of that. If I had to rate only the accommodation it would be 2 stars at best!

We had a beautiful, tranquil experience staying at Paperbark Camp for two nights for my partner’s 30th birthday. The property really is incredible, with gorgeous bushland and rivers to explore. The staff were warm and helpful (Gemma in particular was an absolute delight!) but still gave us plenty of privacy. The early morning thermos delivery was a very nice touch too! The food was delicious and the chefs were fantastic at catering for our dietaries. Bring warm clothes and PJs if staying in the cooler months, and enjoy the reduced winter rates! Many, many thanks for a great stay.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Paperbark Camp. The tent was incredible and super comfortable, the grounds were amazing and really well looked after, every meal was delicious and very creative, and the staff were amazing. Will definitely be returning :)

There is so much to love and more at Paperbark Camp! I stayed for one night but could have happily stayed another night (or two!)
The safari tents are every bit luxurious, the bed was very comfortable and warm and laying in the bath listening to the sound of birds and leaves rustling was just bliss!
The food was beyond perfect! I couldn't fault the food at all and the kitchen staff deserve the highest of recognition for producing such delicious and beautifully presented meals!
Thank you to everyone at Paperbark Camp for their hospitality and warm service, I will definitely be back!

Had such an amazing time at Paperbark Camp! Amazing and friendly staff too. We got the Deluxe tent with the Jervis Bay experience which included breaky and dinner and those meals did not disappoint. The camp room was so lovely - was almost as pictured and the only thing i could fault was that it seemed there would be more lighting as per pictures, even so, it was nicely lit. We had residential wildlife that would always be outside and that was nice to see. Kayaking up and down the creek was one of the most peaceful experiences i have had in awhile.

Beautiful chilled out vibes. Stayed in King parrot tent. Had a very relaxing time. Staff are wery attentive and welcoming. Food is great, great place to get away from the city and unwind.

Beautiful place to visit. Staff and lovely and accommodating and the tents themselves are very cosy. The restaurant is the real star of the show - beautiful food and drinks. Expensive but worth it!

We spent 2 nights during mid-week and pretty happy with the service. A bit hot during the day as it's summer, but we went out to beach so that's great. Mosquitos? well , it's kind of camping, so no complain...not sure why some ppl complain. Aeroguard is the answer. Great quiet time to relax during our stay, we enjoyed various wild life sounds during evening. Also, foods are great ..we are impressed with 3 course dinner every night ...yummo

A surprise "glamping" trip to the flash camp at Coolendel was an amazing experience. The owner Ben and wonderful crew catered for our group over a 4 day stay. The camp set up was great, the gourmet breakfast lunch and dinners were absolutely amazing. It was a perfect trip, the only downside being the kids are expecting this high standard every time we go camping! 😃😆 Thanks very much Ben and crew.

Amazing experience, had a great time in this really immersive yet luxurious 'campground' that comes with all the creature comforts, and fine dining to boot. Watch out for the mosquitoes!

A true romantic paradise in Jarvis Bay. Cozy place to spend memorable times of life. The food is great and so are the staff.

This might be the nicest accommodation I've ever stayed in. Only a few mins drive from Huskisson town centre yet you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere.
Right on the river with complimentary kayaks and bikes you can take out any time. Incredible treehouse -style restaurant with absolutely delicious food and great drinks. And when the sun sets, they light the fires around the camp and you can just chill by it in a swinging chair.
Amazing glamping tents that bring you in touch with nature. Now I want an outdoor shower at home.

Stayed as a couple. Amazing food and staff- only suggestion would be slippers for the tent as it does get quite cold on the wooden boards.

(Translated) A great experience - a bit like in Africa with the tents. We were pleasantly surprised in every way. Also all meals were very tastefully prepared and exceptional in the compilation. That's why we came back to the camp in the evening!
At night it was cold. There were hot water bottles issued, great idea, which also worked!
