M. V.Well what a special and quiet place to be. Spent about 18 hours fishing here and to be honest I ain't a good fisherman, I prefer the time spent with friends.
There is a playground and BBQ areas and a pretty good sized carpark. Great for a day visit for family. But for me is just wasn't the night to catch a fish.
Easy to get to and an enjoyable drive. Take a picnic basket and have fun.
C. E.Big and Good size area to picnic with the whole family. Too much space:) Kids at any age will be fine in this place. Kids can go fishing,kayak, ride their bikes, has a good playground, and can bring and walk your dogs too.
M. U. A.(While driving from Sydney) Scenic lookout right before descent to Ferry point very nice location for a picture. Ferry crossing to the other side is frequent and free. A good day long trip.

S. M.Nice place to stay in a little town on the river. The staff are brilliant, the room had excellent cool air-con & the shower was great with plenty of pressure. There’s a big swimming pool plus the bowling club, cafe & pub are just across the road. The golf course isn’t of a high standard but ok for a casual hit. Wisemans Ferry is small & out of the way but very good for a relaxing getaway.
M. Q.Comfortable rooms. Very quiet. Not many guests so no issues staying for 2 nights. The reception staff were extremely helpful.
We didn't use the pool as it looked very unkempt and maybe it was restricted for covid?
Fridge in the room kept our items cool. Basic hotel room. No microwave but it has tea and coffee. Bowling club and supermarkets right next door. Only a 2 minute drive to the ferry crossing.

K. H.Wonderful relaxing environment near national parks, cafes, historical sites and the ferry with beautiful golf course and views.
Unfortunately COVID-19 has meant many usual services on the site are not available with the restaurant, games room, swimming pool and tennis courts closed. This has meant there are many more free rooms than usual and therefore far less staff.
Definitely can see the potential once businesses can go back to full time services.
M. S.It’s quite and kids friendly picnics place. Local coffee shop and all primary things accessible around here. It’s near water so good for fishing. Well equipped with all kids play ground equipments. Very open space. Quite enough open space available for parking.
H. P.This is our second stay with them . We stayed here last year during Christmas holidays ( had the whole joint to ourselves ) and absolutely loved it. Jacki and her staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

O. F.As a group we decided to leave busy Sydney and relax. Forgotten s valley wisemans has 3 cottages, with 3 rooms each. Each room has 2 single beds. There is also a conference room, which has 3 rooms at the back as well. These buildings accommodated us perfectly. The 3 cottages have kitchens, which also includes microwaves and fridges. Also the scenery is amazing and quite peaceful. If you want a get away as a group, forgotten valley Wiseman s retreat is a place to go.
K. R.Good motel, clean and attractive rooms. No breakfast or dinner here, only seems to be set up for functions. Much more modern than the Wisemans Ferry Inn, the only other accommodation here except for camping.

Good stay - went there for a wedding close by.
Rooms were basic but had everything you needed - it's what you expect for hotels in these sorts of areas. It's really only for sleeping and using the bathroom.
Everything was fine and clean. Parking was ample and we all got rooms close by which was appreciated.
Location was good, there's a bowling club, pub and servo in walking distance. IGA is close by too!
Cons:
Basic and the cost was high for what you really got.
They charged my card before I even got there - not a huge deal but I booked for a lot of people and we assumed they could all pay themselves when they checkout. Perhaps they had issues with people doing runners? Not a huge deal to be honest!
T.Toilets were far from play area or the beach, 3 or 4 BBQs were there but occupied by whole 1 family as the cooking trays were next to each other and there family is big and they all starts cooking at once. But for kids it's good have some playing area and can to cycling on track . Good for fishing and spending day. Also can experience car transport from one side to other side of park by boat for free amazing.
E. S.Came for a wedding and was blown away by the serenity of the place. You just felt good. The perfect spot for a mini relaxing getaway and definitely a prime spot for weddings. Just beautiful.
P. H.We stayed one night for a weekend getaway in a "superior" room. Location was beautiful, set next to the Hawkesbury River. The room was a little dated with all the basics, nothing special. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included with standard buffet. Overall was a pleasant stay.

A. S.We went there for a weekend. The trip from Hurstville took almost two hours. Got lost finding the place. There was no bars on our phone so contacting anyone was difficult. But eventually we did manage to find the place. It was a fun activity and lasted a couple of hours. Socially fun and enjoyable. Overall quality time with friends and family.

T. N.Awesome place with great facilities such as tennis courts, a pool and a restaurant. The staff are friendly and always happy to help you. Since the area is small you can easily walk to the nearby park and markets. There are beautiful landscapes all around! A great getaway!

K.A big garden, children's play area, a very small but nice beach, and rock steps at the edge of the river makes Wiseman's a very beautiful and quiet place for a picnic/day-out with family and friends. The Wiseman's ferry across the river is just a few minutes ride and exciting for kids. There were a few people fishing on the beach side for river eels. There a small cafe offering snacks and coffee at the garden and serves well for small bites. The road to Wiseman's passes through beautiful suburbs and the drive is wonderful.
L. V.The hotel was alright, the room we were in had 1 queen sized bed, a TV, 1 bathroom and a small kitchen. There were also no power points near the bed so I had to plug near the kitchen... But not a big deal.

T. M. G.My daughter was married and her reception held at Retreat at Wisemans in March. What a wonderful experience, one which I will never forget. Barry, Kath and all the staff were superb. Despite a sudden storm and wardrobe malfunction everything went smoothly for the bride and groom and all the guests. The food was delicious and the rooms clean and very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I have no hesitation in recommending the Retreat to anyone thinking of a wedding or simply enjoying a few days at Wiseman's Ferry....you will not be disappointed!
A. B.First time staying here this weekend. Room was cosy, but very clean, neat and tidy. They even had the warm aircon on for us upon our late arrival (after 5pm). Everything worked and had all that we needed for our relaxing stay. Location is central to the Wisemans Ferry township. Decor does need little updating but, not too bad.
Only gripe was that our room was right next to the town petrol station and main road (no views), so it was noisy especially with the hoons racing up and down throughout the night and early morning! The venue didn’t seem full at all, so I’m not sure why we got this room as opposed to a nicer room away from the noisy road and with no view of the beautiful Hawkesbury river, golf course etc.
