We have been to MANY hotels but this is the first one where the kids were greeted with goody bags! Sure they made the room a mess, but boy did they have fun with the arts and crafts.
We books a 2 bedroom interconnecting room and inside was really clean.
The only two bits of constructive feedback would be to service the blinds as the kids one got stuck open and couldn't close it as well as the gap under the main doors made it very noisy when guests were using the hallways.
For a family getaway I would surely be staying here again.

I stayed here some time ago as a stopover returning home after a family funeral. I cannot fault the service or accommodation at all. Upon hearing the reason for my stay, the staff arranged a room upgrade, a complimentary bottle of wine, and some food and beverage vouchers. The staff were so very attentive and responded to my every need. The room was clean and comfortable. I happened to leave some items behind in the room, too, and they kindly mailed them to me without charge. Rare, exceptional service all round.

Location is excellent for all city attractions. Room and bathroom very clean. Bed very comfortable. All staff are very friendly. I needed to extend my stay for an extra night. Reception staff were extremely helpful with my request. I was even able to stay in the same room. I will definitely be booking a room here next time I need to stay in the city. Thank you to all the team for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Staff were great. Room was pretty good in terms of layout and comfort. Location was pretty central and there's so many great places to eat in the area.
C.
Staff were amazing. Room was super clean. Parking was worth it. You have to go down like 4 levels for it but still worth it
S. G.
The room was nice and clean. We had all the services we needed in the room. However, the window is hard to operate and we can hear that constant wind gushing from the outside which was quite disturbing.

I stayed a night before my flight. The security at the entrance was kind. I was overall satisfied with my stay, but there were a few things that I wish to be improved. The reception for telephone call in my room was really bad, although my room was not at a corner or anything. The noise from the bathroom ( i guess that is ventilator?) was too loud. I wanted to close the bathroom door, but the door seemed designed not to be firmly closed. Breakfast was ok but it would be great if there are more variety..

Great location, good quality rooms, friendly staff. Smack in the middle of the CBD, a walks away to great restaurants, cinemas, tourist attractions, 5 minutes walk to George Street tram or to the Townhall Train Station.

Rydges is one of the better hotels in the city. Enjoyed it every time I’ve stayed there. Mostly reasonable room rates.
J. D.
Great service.
Would like to see more correct mask-wearing by the public, and the bar staff though.
A shame it wasn't enforced by the staff at breakfast either.
J. O.
Great central location. Reception was efficient and friendly. Rooms large and comfortable.
A. D.
Great location, close to everything. There were many restaurants and shops around the area. A few minutes walk to Darling Harbour. Good sized room. We loved the king-size bed. The hotel is a little bit old, but clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The lobby was just too crowded and noisy because there was a wedding party when we checked-in.
K. P.
Rooms are actually clean unlike other hotels!
Only downside is no Foxtel or Chromecast.
M. L.
Came here for breakfast with friends , was really nice. Great service

Your standard accommodation
Service was lovely and accommodating of requests.
Took a while to be able to settle our daughter due to lack of pillows (requested extra for her disability to prop her safely)
Location was good easy walk to theatre, darling harbour,Chiba town,trams..... shopping and eateries all around including on-site.
buffet is back here !!!!! Great options and eggs as per order!
Overall an easy stay well located.

I stayed at the hotel for a conference for 2 nights with having all my meals in the hotel. It was okay and the location was one of the best things about this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. There was a couple of things that I didn't like though, breakfast was off a menu but the food was very hot. I also had a power issue in the room, none of the power points were working and fridge wasn't working. I alerted the front desk to it on Saturday morning, nothing was done then I went back that evening and it seemed that it hadn't even looked at. They did send someone up and they left a note saying that I could move rooms with seeing the front desk. I was sharing with an other person and they didn't want to move so we didn't. When we checked out the next morning, there wasn't any apology or checking to see how the stay was. I know things like this happen and things get missed. I was expecting a bit better customer service though. I wouldn't be choosing this place to stay in the inner city.

Great hotel in the city. Family friendly, professional service.

really lovely place with nice staff :) good location and clean rooms

A friend of mine and I used this hotel for 3 nights last week. Everything provided us with was really great. A bed, bathroom and laundry room were all clean and every day housekeeping was well-done.
A receptionist ( may be probably a manager??) took care of me very carefully without showing annoyed even though it was at night, as I got food poisoning. I appreciate her from the bottom of my heart. Others also asked me how I was every time I went by the reception.
If I go to Sydney again, I will use this hotel and if friends of mine want to go, I will recommend this hotel strongly.
Thank you very much for all during my stay.

Quick and easy check-in and the staff were very accommodating and pleasant.
Due to COVID (I guess) the room is not serviced each day so I did have to ask for that to occur as I had run out of fresh towels.
I definitely wouldn’t bother with the breakfast but then what hotel provides a decent breakfast?
I received my coffee in a takeaway cup even though other diners had a proper ceramic cup.
The mushrooms were terrible. Slimy, bitter and mostly Shitake mushrooms which to me is a very strange mushroom choice to serve on sourdough for breakfast. I couldn’t eat it and left it all, bacon was good though.
Room was good, bed super comfy, blackout blinds great.

Spent the night for a staycation for a candlelight concert.
The team was very kind and patient as my card had reached its spend limit. They were able to swiftly give me alternative options to get the stay moving.
Standard clean hotel room.
We ordered dessert room service at around 9pm and it was up at our room within 5-10 minutes.
Buffet breakfast was exceptionally good and very covid organised.

Nice little venue. I knew this place long before it was constructed which seemed to take ages. A lot of Sydney's history in this part of town. Still excellent.
D. L.
Great central location to stay at. Food, entertainment, shopping within a good 15 mins give or take walk away.
Helpful staff who'll meet you at your designated parking lot. Went with another family and they had they placed on the the same floor level. That's proper customer service awareness.
Free WIFI internet provided without any dropouts on multiple devices.
One lift takes you to level 21 to the gym, so need to know which wing of the hotel to catch the lift from.
Other comments were right with the pillow being a little too soft and flat but I just folded it in half to prop it up. No big deal.
Hotel is a little dated but that should not be the decider.
Overall, for it's price point, location, service, I would stay again.
J. B.
Excellent staff, lovely rooms, nice and clean, centrally located, and superb value for money. Breakfast was lovely too. I’ve stayed in many 5 star hotels in Sydney and I won’t bother wasting my money anymore when Rydges does the job just fine. It deserves more than the 4 stars in google.

This is a belated review. My family and I stayed here a while back and had great experience. The room is clean and service is good. We enjoyed our time here. Situated in World Square, it is a great location and convenience with plenty of things around or a short walk. Grocery, food, shopping all within a very short distance.
R. J.
My room was well appointed. Nice big TV. No free Foxtel. Superb bed. The restaurant was excellent as was the bar next to the restaurant. Great service for the entire experience.
E. A.
Excellent service. Very well priced. Staff was attentive. They follow strict COVID guidelines which is good. Even though we only stayed for a night had a great time
L. S.
The staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome ☺️

From the time I booked until we left today, everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble. The receptionist greeted us with a big smile, with had meals in our room because of COVID and the meals were delicious. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was not cramped in anyway. Nice bathroom with bath, hot water. Very central to everything.

- The check in process was fast and super efficient.
- Friendly and professional staffs.
- Perfect location (next to Town Hall train station) approx 10 minutes walk.
- Plenty of food, restaurants and supermarkets to choose from.
- The hotel was spacious, very clean.
- Highly recommended

Really enjoyed our experience here, we stayed in family room tgat was very spacious for our family of 5. Only a short walk to all the fun and eateries with wonderful staff. Will stay again for sure.

Great lil Hotel smack bang in Centre of Sydney. Hop skip and a jump to Metro and other hip lil spots.
T. J. B.
Extremely clean, high standards of service.

Stayed 3 nights in a family room, great service from all. Enjoyed room service, all meals hot and arrived timely, valet parking was a great service and so helpful with the Kurds.
Breakfast was enjoyed by all as they had a great variety of foods. Rooms were nice and tidy and well kept. Overall very pleased with our stay and will return for our next trip.
G. S.
Stayed at the Rydges World Square for a 2 day get away while attending the Capital Theatre to see Frozen. Very friendly and helpful staff and found the hotel itself to be clean and very Covid conscious and in a great location. Will be more than happy to stay there again.
J. D.
Booked a night on a whim and had a great stay. Valet parking was included in our room rate as a special and this was excellent! All of the staff were professional and courteous, they really made the place great. The bed was comfortable and our room had a bath. The bar was pumping (try the cider!) at 5pm Friday and we walked to Hyde Park, location was super convenient.
All of our booking site privileges were noted and applied too, great attention to detail.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the King room on a quiet weeknight. Service was prompt and efficient. I dropped my bag off at the counter as I had another appointment, and upon my return to check in I found that I'd already been checked in, with my bag delivered to my room - outstanding service. Location was divine as well. Room was tidily appointed. When the TV didn't work (they just installed a batch of new TVs, as it turns out), concierge was very quick to drop in a do a reset. Would definitely stay again. Plus the location is just superb!
A. C.
We stayed here for a work function.
It was clean, friendly efficient service. Nice room, good location.
Definitely would stay again.
The bar and restaurant looked awesome too
Definitely stay again
B. M.
Booked a balcony room for 2 nights, ($219 per night) The room was fine but there was a stain on the duvet which looked like blood or something dark brown which was a bit off-putting. I only noticed this upon the morning of checking out and forgot to mention it at reception.
I was also a bit shocked to have to pay a $300 deposit for my room, which is certainly not the usual for the hotel industry (as I have seen the owner say in other review comments)
Nothing special for a 4 star hotel, and not somewhere I will be in a rush to go back too.
L.
Best location, really good price, comfortable beds, clean and nice. Had to take the star from them as safe in our room didn't work, even after someone came to fix it. The watch on the phone also have shown the wrong time. Other than that - 5 stars and definitely stay there again!
T. C.
I had a wonderful stay here at Rydges. The rooms are big, modern and clean. The reception check in was smooth and staff were very polite. I arrived early and left my bag with the concierge and it was in my room when I arrived back later. Loved the full block out curtains, complete darkness.
E. G. K.
Magnificent hotel. Rooms are clean, spacious, and offer a variety of amenities. Breakfast is magnificent. Inside hotel pub is a must for lunch/dinner or simply to enjoy a cup of coffee, beer, or drinks. Staff is superb. I truly recommend.
A. S.
I stay at this hotel regularly for business and personal stays. This is a well presented, very comfortable hotel within close proximity to all of the amenities of world square. Rooms are large and well appointed. Restaurant/room service prepare nice, good quality meals and the bar is a good spot to relax. Staff are always polite and helpful. There are great deals, particularly for members and advance bookings.
M. R.
Lovely spacious room with a Dreams bed which was very comfortable. Breakfast was 22 dollars extra but worth it. Room Service was quick and the meal sizes very generous. Hotel is bang in the middle of town with easy access to all the sights. Highly recommend this hotel.
C. E.
I have hosted 3 events this year - the events team and th hotel/restaurant staff made sure that all my events were COVID Safe. Their infection control measures are high standard and they take the safety of everyone very seriously. The team are very friendy and professional, definitely my favourite venue to host an event - big or small. Thanks again :)
J. B.
I am rating excellent as these guys have been very easy to deal with. We had a booking for September but due to covid can't go. They answered emails quickly and were very accomodating.
They have refunded our money now, but due to the amazing communication and service, as soon as we can go to Sydney we will definitely be staying here.
J. D.
Good location, terrible for actually sleeping.
Do you enjoy nightlife? If not too bad because you're going to hear EVERY BIT OF IT at this hotel. From the music blasting from the brewery downstairs to every car or person who goes past your window. However, it has a good number of places to eat and a short walk to lots of attractions
N. B.
Stayed here twice now for business conferences which were also at the hotel. Rooms comfortable and clean, access to the gym was good also. Had the buffet breakfast one morning which was really good and the hotel bar was a nice place for a drink. Location is fantastic, right on World Square if you want to pop down there for a meal or drinks.
R. S.
Pretty convenient to shopping and close to attractions. Since the building is round, loops around to get to the room. Nice breakfast with quite a few menu options. The bathroom is little odd and the counter is tiny, hardly any room to keep toiletry stuff. Shopping mall and Chinese restaurants are all integrated into one huge complex.
S. G.
I was upgraded to a king executive suite upon check in and loved it. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Knocking of one star because the "king" bed was actually two twins mattresses pushed together, making it impossible to sleep in the middle. Also wished there were a chest of drawers in the bedroom, which had plenty of space for one. That aside, the room was quiet despite being right above the busy World Square plaza. I appreciated the black out blind in the bedroom too.
C. L.
Friendly service and pretty good value for money in such a great location. The Cidery does good cocktails and has a nice selection of craft beer and ciders with tasty food available.
J. D.
I have stayed here multiple times. The staff have always been friendly, efficient, and competent. The room service food is top notch. And the other amenities more than meet expectations.
On top of all that, it's so convenient to get to. Get off the train at Museum and walk downhill a bit. Fantastic for the light or heavy traveller.
It also helps that the rates are overall very reasonable, especially given the service.
R. W.
Rydges World Square Hotel is so beautiful!. The rooms were very cozy and beautiful. The view outside was calming as well. My mom and I loved that the room was complete with amenities. The room service was very pleasing because the staff were very kind, polite and accommodating. We would love to go back again soon!
L. S.
Great experience. Clean and comfortable room. Great service and food and beverages reasonably priced. Thank you, lovely surprise for a CBD hotel
J. P.
This is one of my favourite hotels. The location is fantastic. The staff are always very accommodating. I was pleasantly upgraded to a suite this time. The bed was very comfortable and the suite had everything I needed. The one downer was the shower head. I understand the term environmental but this was a bit ridiculous. I literally had to run around the shower to get wet. The water pressure was minimal. But that won't deter me from staying again. Thank you.
S. G.
Ive given 4 stars but would rate experience at 3.5. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location amazing. Room and lack of view were disappointing considering the price paid. Note: water bottles on bedside table are not complementary... a little deceptive considering other hotels around the world offer these free in executive rooms. Would I go back... yes.
s. r.
Rydges always treat us so well! the staff are so kind and accommodating, the location is great and the rooms are always neat, tidy and comfortable. Since becoming a member with them they give a free drink at the bar downstairs each time you stay, they've upgraded our room multiple times and have given complimentary wine. Will always pick Rydges World Square. So much love for them. The price for their rooms is super nice and affordable for what you get.
C. A.
Prompt communication and excellent service to resolve our issue speaks volumes for their empathy and capacity to exceed customer expectations
T. M.
Most things are no longer than a 10 minute walk away. Check-was smooth and painless and we were off to our room. The toiletries provided were of an excellent standard. Cafe staff were the friendliest in the morning. Congratulations to the staff whose commitment and care made this a great experience.
D. T.
Located within the World Square complex, which includes offices, shops, supermarket, eateries, bars so in terms of location it was quite good. This feels like a typical business hotel, and I am not aware of any facilities within the premises apart from F&B as I only had a relatively short stay.
I booked a balcony room, and I was given what must be the tiniest balcony ever. All it could fit was a single chair and stool and the area is pretty much covered. The bathroom feels very dated, and shower head really needs updating. Due to the angles in the room, it feels quite small and compact. As I was there when it was quite busy, the price was on the high side, and comparable to larger chains in the vicinity. I might only consider going back if the price is a fair bit lower comparatively.

My husband & I stayed at your hotel recently & were very happy with the experience. The staff are very friendly & helpful, the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable.
We had the full buffet breakfast on both mornings & while it was an excellent breakfast, there is no where that says you charge extra for the coffee. I thought it was included, there is a little notepad on each table & a pen to fill it in. But no prices anywhere.
I liked that the balcony was furnished, so many places have nothing at all on their balconies.
Overall, a wonderful stay, thank you.
Kind regards,
Catherine Lorch

Staff very welcoming & helpful let us into our room early on arrival, which was really appreciated after 23hr flight from UK. Room large, clean, well equipped the bed was incredibly comfortable. Restaurant relaxed, food good, serviced by friendly staff. Concierge knowledgeable & provided excellent service. A wonderful stay & would definitely recommend.

I arrived early (8am) completely shattered from a long flight but still lots of work to do before meetings etc. Asked about the possibility of an early check in and it was sorted within 20 minutes. Room upgraded, happy friendly staff, and offers for drinks / food if required. I have already told several friends about my amazing stay. It is great to find somewhere so accommodating.

We have been wanting to have a stay at least for a night to see the City. We fortunately landed on one of the bests. It was an amazing experience I musts say. We got here 22nd and we had been welcomed warmly and I was happy to know that we have a family breakfast buffet included( as a mother of 2 all moms/dads can relate). The funny part when we got to the elevator because we were all excited and giddy we frgot how it works haha(tired us coming from the beach) , where one of the staff offered us help courteously(imagined us staying inside the elevator for quite sometime). Getting to our room was easy. Rooms smelled good and it was pleasant. We had the Deluxe Twin Room, just perfectly right for our family of 4. Maneageable since I am tending to everyone. Toilet and Bath was clean. Ample amount of toiletries were provided and towels too. Ultimately it was a dream stay for me. Had a good night sleep and felt refreshed the next day. Ate the lovely breakfasts. What more can I ask more? I will definitely recommend this for everyone who is into the accessibility of the place and really just having a nice place to refresh those busy minds. Family who would want to go shopping. I will definitely be coming back. We will!. Thank you for our experience. It will all be deposited to my memory box. Merry Christmas.

Amber restaurant does great food, wonderful service and friendly staff. Good value too if you (or someone you dine with) are a Priority Guest Rewards member.
Orderd the sourdough to share for a starter, followed by the lamb loin rack and grilled salmon as our mains. There was a bit of a wait for our sourdough, apparently because of 6 big room service orders ahead of us. The mains came promptly afterwards and was cooked to perfection. Often salmon is overcooked at other places but this one was cooked just right. The slow cooked lamb loin was also cooked to the perfect temperature, which pleasantly surprised me as most slow cooked meats at other places usually come out well done...
I would highly recommend giving this place a try.
R. P.
Great Hotel, check in was a breeze and staff helpful. Except the people downstairs valet for the cars. One man was more occupied in their conversation with each other than help with unloading our luggage from the car or even acknowledge we were there.

I have stayed at Rydges on multiple occasions now and will keep going back to them. I will be with them again in November for the weekend, and looking forward to it. This time I am taking my family. The rooms are clean, and the beds are super comfy. The restaurant has great food, if you choose to stay in house and the bar makes great cocktails. Should there be an issue, the staff are more than happy to fix it.

Stayed at the Rydges World Square earlier this week for a trip to Sydney. Mostly a positive experience with the negative coming from the dining experience in the hotel restaurant.
Firstly, the price for the room was very reasonable during the time of booking. The booking included breakfast which was certainly a determining factor in choosing to stay here.
We visit Sydney almost annually and have done so since 2013 so there are a range of hotels which we have compared our experience to.
Firstly, the positives. The check in staff were brilliant. We called ahead telling them that we had arrived Sydney earlier and they let us check in early (about 11:30am) which was brilliant. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and spacious for our little family. Housekeeping staff were great too. Front office staff also brilliant, we needed to print a document and they assisted us with doing so too.
Minor negative, the blinds in the room could be lowered but not raised. When I informed the hotel staff, they sent a maintenance staff to check. This staff member returned later to inform me that the blinds could be repaired but would take about “thirty minutes”. However in the interim, there was a little trick to lower and raise the blinds.
The biggest disappointment for us was the breakfast. I was quite surprised as I noticed some awards given to this restaurant in 2011 and 2012 but also noticed the restaurant had a different name then.
To be clear, restaurant staff were mostly good. Friendly and prompt. What was a let down was the food. To compare, we stayed at a hotel at Darling Harbour 6 months earlier that also provided breakfast. Their breakfast included everything the Sphere Restaurant (Rydges hotel restaurant) provided and more. In addition to a continental breakfast and cooked breakfast, they also had complementary barista made coffee, fresh juice machine, a different variety of food daily on their Asian menu.
The restaurant staff were mostly attentive, however, there was one staff member with whom we requested a high chair for our toddler who seemed to have forgotten. We had to ask another staff member, who to be fair, brought it over immediately. The first person we asked was talking to another staff member after we made the request.
The experience was good overall but I believe that for the additional amount paid for the breakfast option, it wasn’t worth it.
But, overall. The hotel experience was very good. The room facilities are comparable with many other hotels in Sydney CBD within that price range and the service was excellent.
Would consider booking again next trip, but unlikely to include the breakfast option.

Rydges Pitt Street is well located, with plenty of shopping, entertainment and dining options a short walk away, but for anything more than an overnight stay, there are better options. I asked for a quiet room, away from the elevators so the arrival and departure noise on the floor and the elevator 'ding' can't be heard night and day, but the cleaners on my floor (18) started at about 06:30, so their clattering and talking woke me up. They also left a sugar packet on the floor near the elevators for my entire 2 day stay, and an empty glass near my door, so their cleaning was clearly not taking in the hallways. The corridors are dark and gloomy, almost felt spooky, and the brown carpet and dark furnishings felt depressing and old. My window view of the blank wall of the adjoining building didn't help make the room feel welcoming. Bathrooms and amenities all about as expected for a hotel of this price, but nothing special. Lots of power points near each side of the bed, so top marks for catering to the tech dependent traveller.
D. H.
Cant fault anything friendly staff rooms so quiet for cbd, amazing block out blinds slept like a baby just a short walk from best restaurants.💯😊
C. J.
The staff are polite and helpful at all times, check in and out were streamlined.
Rooms were clean and basically furnished. Location of the hotel is great for city access although street noise was somewhat intrusive.
Areas of concern: the bottle of wine in the mini bar had been opened by previous guests and had not been replaced (I advised reception and I was not charged for this).
Daily housekeeping was inconsistent: over the 6 nights I had to request replacement of milk, tea bags etc on more than one occasion as this had not been attended to, sheets were not changed despite being marked (this was attended to after I complained to reception), cups, kettle etc were not replaced in cupboards allocated to this each day.
C. D.
Accessing the front door via vehicle was shocking! Had to lap around until a number of buses left. No signage to say where to park for valet parking.
Front counter experience was excellent, the young lady that served us was welcoming and helpful.
I am used to a firm bed at home so found the mattress rather painfully soft and felt like I was swallowed up in it.
The room was well appointed and clean
Breakfast buffet was well presented and tasty
Checkout was easy

The hotel is modern and has all the amenities required by those on business trips. Bed was comfortable. Not a bad price for Sydney. The tv didn't work and the lights randomnly kept turning themselves on and off. The room had a king size bed and a bath and shower and tv. Great for families.
N.
Have stayed here a few time and the place was good for what I was looking for. The service provided by the staff was great and the accommodation was clean and modern. Is very centrally location so you have access to everything short walk from the hotel.
D. M.
Everything about this hotel is awesome. I started my stay here on Jan 1 2017 and kept extending because I loved it so much. Ended up staying 1.5 months, till mid-February! Great staff, nice rooms, some have balconies, baths in the room, nice restaurant and bar, and fabulous World Square location. Everything you need is just downstairs.
Highly recommend this place!
P. C.
Great location, clean, very comfortable bed, helpful staff, especially Joanne at reception who patiently helped me fix a wayward internet connection on my phone.
On the minus side: It is customary and convenient for saucers to be provided with cups/mugs. There were none. Cutting up some fruit or having a snack became a messy affair. ... BTW, I had to ask for plates at reception; they were promptly sent up to our room.
Overall, a very pleasant stay.
C.
Customer service is great at this hotel. Small things let it down. The pillows smelt like they weren't dried properly after they were cleaned. TV remote and TV is sub par compared to most hotels of similar cost. Had to physically leave the bed and hold remote under the TV to operate.
E. E.
The front desk staff were exceptional. Received and upgrade and complimentary drinks. However the room, despite being on the highest floor, didn't feel like much of an upgrade. We had a small view of a concrete wall, with little to no natural light. The room also felt a little outdated. However, it was much appreciated that we received an upgrade.
Unfortunately we were unable to redeem our complimentary drinks, so we weren't able to check out The Cidery.
The location is great for getting about, and especially the light rail (what we used for transport that evening), so would recommend in that regard. However there are other hotels nearby, that are around the same price guide that might offer slightly more.
M. W.
Room service wasn't so great as they always forgot to replace towels or cups or hygiene supplies despite daily reminders. Room is clean enough but sometimes you can tell it is still kind of dusty. Showering stall is poorly designed so that water leaks out and gets the bathroom floor wet and also can easily slam fingers if you're not paying attention. Good location in the city but also very loud on weekend nights.
S. S.
Really nice staff and beds are so comfortable, you don't want to leave it. The concierge David is very helpful as he attempted to help me fix my luggage handle. Breakfast is included, and tastes great! Something that could be improved is the WiFi, otherwise a great stay.
J. C. P.
4.5 stars if I could give a bit extra. Place is great and located in a fantastic area with lots of great eats. Less than a ten minute walk to Darling Harbor and maybe about thirty to Sydney Harbor. Very friendly staff, even gave an umbrella for us to use. Room was very clean and modern, they even had the portacot set up and ready for us at check in and offered a late check-out right off the bat. Very nice lobby too!
T. S.
Not a bad place to stay when visiting Sydney. Location is good and breakfast buffet is a fav. Unfortunately when I checked in, the gentleman at the front counter was quite stern. Not very warm or welcoming. The lady at check out was alot nicer. Rooms are good, decent sized and have the essentials. Robes and slippers .. but no microwave! Other than that, was a good stay.
C. S.
The rooms were nice ,very clean and comfortable bed, with choice of pillows. The staff I met were all good. The lady cleaning the room was very friendly and had a big smile on her face all the time .
Room service was prompt and food well presented
A. M.
Enjoyed our overnight stay with the family. The hotel was good value and location and service was excellent.
R. R.
We stayed for 1 night on the top floor of Rydges, World Square. Our room was upgraded and we were provided a bottle of champagne on arrival - completely spoilt!!
The staff are wonderful and the breakfast the next morning was great also.
The only thing I would say is that the king size bed was very very soft, not the usual 'dream maker' style beds I have slept on before at Rydges.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
W. J.
Really solid 4 star hotel very conveniently located for the south end of the CBD and 1 block from Museum station. Always very good service. Fitness centre is well equipped. Good range of well-prepared room service options. The bars and restaurants are all pretty decent without being exceptional. Right above a supermarket and major dining/ shopping precinct.
D.
Graciously aging, but old nevertheless.
This was once, no doubt a top hotel but despite it being reasonably well-maintained and clean it still gives off an old hotel feeling which may put off some guests from choosing to stay there again. The breakfast buffet is good. Real coffee costs extra. A really nice touch is the $10 restaurant voucher if you don't need room cleaned.

My home away from home - rooms acceptable depending on allocation, however pillows awesome. Reception staff generally always friendly and try there best to assist with your out-of-box requests. Cidery bar is great place to relax at the end of day with happy hour from 5-7pm - staff here are always great

I had a great 2 night stay here thanks to the Priority Guest Rewards free second night deal. My partner and i were surprisingly upgraded and located on the highest floor. Check in and out was the easiest and quickest experience I've ever had at a hotel. Rooms are nice and simple. Decent size TV, wish there was a balcony though.
My only downfall was how thin the walls must be as unfortunately at 6-7am on my first morning I could hear everything happening next door with the person being incredibly loud on phone calls, then the hair dryer and then the TV.. once they left their room it was fine.
Overrall, would definitely stay again, its close to everything, affordable and clean!!
P. C.
Easy to access, close to transport. Service was great and professional. Asked for the sofa bed to be made up and someone was there in minutes. Everyone enjoyed the buffet breakfast especially our littlest one who couldn't get the grin off his face with all the choices.

Location is ideal. All the facilities you need are at your finger tips. The beds are fantastic and the room was spotless. The only downside was the soundproofing between rooms - one could hear some happy and noisy neighbours - they were reasonably well behaved, just spoke with loud voices and laughed well into the night and it felt like they were behind my head in bed.
S. S.
This hotel was awesome value for money. The rooms were really big and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, even held our bags for us when we arrived early so we could go explore before check in time. The location was perfectly placed in the city, 2 min walk to museum Station.
R. A.
Overall it is a very good hotel. Nice staff at the reception and conveniently located in the CBD. The rooms and bathrooms are great, well designed and maintained. The breakfast could improve though and the concierge staff could be told to be more friendly.
M. T.
Stay here regularly for work and weekend visits (if there is a good price). Really nice newish rooms but the views can be a bit boxed in, given the great location. Centralised air conditioning can make it feel a bit stuffy when you first arrive. Always professional staff - quite a busy place but have never had to wait to long for check in or check out. Heaps of food options downstairs from cheapie to expensive.
S. I.
Absolutely fantastic stay! The staff were helpful for all of our requirements and the rooms were private and relaxing (and nice and darm with curtains drawn so sleep ins were awesome!!!). The suites are extremely nice and look forward to staying here again!
J. S.
Room was a good size. Bed was very comfortable. In terms of hotel rooms, this was very very good value. The mushrooms ordered as a side dish were amazing. The Wi-Fi was so bad I reverted to using my phone hot spot. Did I mention how good the mushrooms were. Wow !
M. B. F.
We had an amazing stay at Rydges hotel world square. We were able to get a free upgrade to the deluxe king room. The room was spacious, very clean, great valet service, staff were very friendly and easy to approach when needed, had a quick and easy check in and check out and our room was available immediately. It was a pleasant stay at Rydges world square and we would definitely book again in the future. Thank you to management and staff
M. C.
Clean and comfortable. Easy to walk into the city. Rooms were spacious and clean but why only 1 bar of soap in the bathroom to share between the sink and the shower?? Level 12 was a bit gloomy as lights weren't working in lift foyer.
J. H.
Excellent location great service and very understanding as we had lockdown issue to deal with, they were great
E.
Great hotel. We had a family room with two kids 8 & 12 and it was perfect with two bedroom areas each with their own bathroom, TV and sitting area, main bedroom also had a desk. Had dinner in the grill - delicious steaks. Handy location with plenty of shops and dining downstairs in the World Square centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking a bit pricey at $60 per 24 hours, but that's to be expected in Sydney city. Overall a great stay.
G. M.
As a basic hotel it was fine. Good location and room had what I needed. I was annoyed that I when I booked I had to book the two nights separately. i then rang to ensure I didn't have to change rooms and was told this would be sorted. I didn't realise that the special I booked meant I could only book a single night and when I arrived at the hotel found this out and that my call had been in vain. The women on the reception made me feel like she was doing me a special favor by saying I could stay in the same room. It wasn't nice and didn't start the stay off well.
m. s.
For a first timer in Sydney, loved the excellent location and convenience available at my fingertip. There’s a supermarket right beneath, plus cafes and late night food aplenty. The cooling September weather allows for pleasant walks from Broadway to The Rocks. Front desk staff was very accomodating to my request for a higher floor and room was upgraded. I slept soundly on their blissful king bed. Room comes with a fully stocked minibar, which you can request to remove, if not needed.
There are however some quirks. Invest in better infrastructure. The WiFi simply refuse to load even the simplest Google Map or google search enquiry even though Facebook is fine. Going to the gym requires you to navigate dimly lit corridor past different elevators and down a lonely corridor. No slippers or dental kit provided by default. The laundry room looks and feel like a holding cell for the wicked.
B. C.
The staff who welcome buses, carry bags, supply umbrellas , get taxis and load luggage, and the concierge's team gave my wife and I excellent service. The desk staff also gave us excellent service both at check in and check out, even flnding and delivering a phone charger to my room. All staff we dealt with were friendly and supportive.
Only blip was a failure to refill tea, coffee, and drinking chocolate supplies once we'd used them.
M. M.
I have nothing but praise for all of the staff that I personally dealt with. They were beautiful and courteous and extremely helpful. The venue itself was very nice, and inline with what I expected.
However the housekeeping really let the team down. The first night my room wasn't serviced. Maybe it's something I needed to request, however I've stayed in 100's of hotels and never needed to actively request housekeeping before. But all good i chalked it down to my mistake. So the next day I left the hanger on my door "Please make up my room." I thought that surely that would do the job! When I went back to my room at 2pm I was shocked to find it still hadn't been serviced! So I placed a call to housekeeping, requesting that they come and clean my room. They assured me it would be completed immediately. When I again returned to my room at 4pm it still wasn't completed! I couldn't believe it! So I popped down to the front desk and requested they follow it up for me. Which they did, and were so lovely about it. It was just a disappointment. And sadly it doesn't seem that my incident was isolated as a I spoke to a few friends and colleagues who were also staying at the hotel and they had similar stories.
N. W.
Good location, comfortable and clean room, very friendly room service and front desk staff.
However, one suggestion: make gym and laundry a bit easier to find for guests, especially if you want to use the gym is very hard to find, on Level 20 the sign tells you to go to level 21 and follow the sign, once you are there it tells you to go back down to level 20 to find the gym...
L. S.
The room was clean and staff friendly. We got an upgrade which was great, early check in and a quiet room.
I was surprised that the movies cost so much to watch at $15 AUS. And the remaining tele channels mostly news. My experience is usually a sky package or similar included.
Also we found the sheets to be a little itchy - think the washing powder as everything looked clean.
Bed super comfy.
k. f.
The hotel was very busy, wifi was terrible and kept dropping out, as did the TV reception which continually broke up. Apart from that room was comfortable and on the quiet side of the building. Breakfast was good and plentiful with lots of choice and all staff service very good.
M. W.
Hotel is in a good location, the hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the room was very spacious and bed was super comfortable. Will definitely stay here again
A. C.
Just want to share that location is great. Couple minutes walk from Town Hall or Museum station. The surround area has a lot of food option and for shopping Westfield isn't that far off too. Room itself is very clean and comfortable. If you're staying at the lower levels noise from the street might get to your room but it's a big problem as it should quiet down as the nights get on.
S. A.
Staying in a room along side Pitt Street, the room was very noisy at night. Hotel needs to invest in double glazed windows. Could clearly hear loud traffic noise through the middle of the night, loud voices, etc.
Restaurant was good although waiters heading with the food from the restaurant kitchen to the adjoining Cidery seemed to enjoy short cutting through the restaurant tables and not following the defined path out of the restaurant. Tacky and not very stylish. Having spent nearly 200.00 on dinner, you would expect a little courtesy.
Room was comfortable.
Recommended - but bring your ear plugs.
M. A.
Great customer service, accommodation modern clean dining excellent. I'm very satisfied
P. A.
It was very nice being able to check in just after lunch. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and appropriately furnished. Bed was comfortable. Big screen TV was a treat. Only thing missing was a DVD player attached to the TV.
k. R.
Lovely staff, clean pleasant rooms, very comfy beds. Had the arancin balls, chicken wings and warm olives in the Cider Bar and they were all very delicious. Only negative is the room cards didn't always work properly in the lift. Have stayed here twice in the last couple of months and would defantly stay again and recommend a stay to friends.
K. B.
Clean and very suitable for a business stay - good solid 4 star hotel. Friendly staff. Breakfast is pretty ordinary (particularly for the price) - would suggest dining in one of the many surrounding eateries.
D. D.
OK. .. We have stayed multiple times. .. And I agree. .. It is hit and miss. .. There always seems to be a few things a miss .. This time it was the air conditioning and we had a 1 1/2r wait for our room... But in saying that we had a 2 min wait for extra wine glasses.... Also the shower was poorly sealed and tiled. .. Water runs toward the door away from the drain and out onto the floor. .. It was an old issue as the bathroom door was swollen at its base. .. Also we had to request our room was made up. .. but good location. .. definitely get the breakfast special from cafe kaz to the left of the lobby exit....
G.
Very good hotel with excellent and obliging staff. Great location for city and all public transport. Bit noisy Saturday night up to 1am Sunday but it’s the city and expected. No complaints.
G. B.
Nice, but not decadent rooms - spacious, comfortable, well kept. The location is fantastic - 5 minutes walk from Central, Town Hall and Museum stations, and right in the middle of the CBD. The late check-in special is good value, especially if you're getting in to town later than 8:30pm anyway. I have occasionally had problems with noise - the Pitt St facing rooms can have loud bass coming out of nearby clubs keeping you awake on a Friday and Saturday night. I suspect that these rooms are reserved for the cheaper late check-in special customers. The reception staff are very professional and helpful.

Generally a big fan of Rydges Hotels, however this visit was a bit lacking. Firstly, my floor smelt strongly like vomit, I turned the A/C to compensate but it was not pleasant leaving the room and lasted the entire overnight stay. The room was modern and fairly spacious however the toilet was not clean, dare I say, but it very much looked like poo was on the toilet seat. I'm not someone to call up and make a fuss and then have to switch rooms or watch awkwardly as someone wipes it down (I was alsp hoping I was wrong), I just cleaned the toilet myself. The other dissapointing aspect was that the pillows smelt musty and like they hadn't been cleaned/or the cases changed in a while. There were no spare pillows in the cupboard like there usually are to simply switch out.
The location was fantastic, above world square not only is shopping at your doorstep so is a bar, restaurant (and another hundred surrounding). The access to bathrooms on the entrance level was also very useful.
C. I.
Excellent room, excellent service, great staff and a brilliant central location for us to base ourselves from for the weekend.
T. M.
I arrive late in the afternoon and the staff are very friendly. The whole hotel was very clean. At the basement of the hotel you can find a good liqueur store , Coles supermarket , coffee stand etc. The ratings were great and the price not too bad. You won't be disappointed.
M. L.
I've only recently started going back, having joined their Rewards program. Both times I've booked direct, then they've upgraded my room on arrival for free. All of the staff from front door to reception to room are exceedingly polite and always friendly and helpful, and the room is immaculate (I enjoy the option to not have my room made up every day if I don't want as well as I don't really feel it is necessary - that they voucher reward you for this is a bonus even if I don't use it). The location is great in World Square - it's nice having both a supermarket and many food options just downstairs in the shopping mall. It feels alive even at night, but also safe - it feels more like a residential and entertainment community of people outside than just business city CBD (though it's only 5-10 minutes walk up to Pitt St. Mall). Depending on your room there is street noise, but the room muffles most of it and I've never had a bad night's sleep (helped by decent bedding and pillow options). I like predictability, and I find Rydges World Square to be consistent, predictably good.
J. H.
The whole experience provided a great feeling. I was happy to find everything easy to access(internet). The room was clean, well maintained and comfortable, loved the pillows. The only tiny issue was how hot the room was. A small issue easily fixed once I got the air con to turn down, the fahrenheit setting was a little confusing.
B. T.
room size is quite spacious, the bed is very good in terms of comfort and size. Location is the best and very convenient. Supermarket, cafes, restaurant all are within walking distances.
P. H.
Stay at Rydges World Square when ever I'm on the city and its always good. Rooms are always very clean and well appointed and the location is perfect. Hotel bar is great for work meetings and a couple of drinks.
L. c.
Was clean nice. Comfy bed and pillows. Yummy breakfast. Shame only 1 person can have the free wifi. Stayed in family room and great to have 2 50" TV's we all got to watch what we wanted.
W. L.
Whenever we came to Sydney, we always looking forward to stay at Rydges World Sq. Hotel because of the location and with great service. We really felt welcomed from the Reception, Concierge and the Sphere Restaurant's breakfast staffs. Also thanks very much for give us a v. nice upgrade to stay in a suite which was a great bonus for us.
One thing which we would like to bring to your attention is when we first got into our room and found that the living room carpet has not been vacuumed prior of our stay............then during our 5 nights stay, there were 3 nights which we put out the sign for the maid don't need to clean the room but with one day when the maid came in to clean the room., we found out that she didn't vacuum the carpet nor the bathroom floor because we saw some hairs still on the bathroom floor after the maid cleaned the room. We were kind of disappointed with her job. Also one side of the bed there is a small lamp by the bedside, after she came in cleaned the room and found that she might have accidentally knock the lamp so hard that the small lamp was loosen and it wiggles. May be she didn't pay any attention of what she has done or she might have neglected to report it to the maintenance dept. to come in to fix the small lamp by the bedside. When we check out the room and we brought these matters to the attention to the Reception staff.
Over all we really are blessed for staying in such a nice hotel in Sydney.
Thanks with great appreciation,
Willy & Eleanor

People on front desk were great and responsive but...
1. fruit bowl was ordered for arrival - not in room and had to be checked. when it arrived oranges cut in half but all other fruit was large pieces which would have been ok if we had a sharp knife to cut them and plates. when we asked for a knife a butter knife arrived - nit sharp enough. Pears were going off (damaged skins) and hard so felt to be unripe but rotting - wouldn't order again.
2. room booked for 3 people but not prepared for 3. No 3rd towel (and with 3 women you need at least 4 towels) no extra mug , wine glass etc. there was a whole saga on getting an extra mug at one stage. Next time I feel i would have to quizz the desk and ask if the room is ready for the 3 people from the booking.
3. the markedly crooked picture above the bed suggested lack of care for room presentation - it drove my neatness daughter crazy as she wanted to straighten it badly.
4. Banging from disco on the Saturday night will definitely be a factor if we decide to stay again
ON THE PLUS SIDE. Reception gave us late check out with out us asking which was wonderful, appreciated very much. room was neat, tidy and pleasant. Bathroom good and plenty of hot water etc. Refrigerator was quiet (think you for this). Location is great.
Would I recommend the hotel? I would say it depends. You are certainly going to get an experience to remember
I. F.
Great location however rooms do need an upgrade especially for the premium prices we paid. Toilet very old, bathroom door not working. However an enjoyable stay nonetheless.
E. K.
I would give this hotel a 5 expect for a room which was not as clean as it could have been (bobby pin on the floor, shampoo seal broken with hair in it and a few bits of hair in bath/on bathroom floor, some rubbish on floor in foyer as well - plactic off water bottle and water bottle lid there for whole of two day stay - all only minor issues). Excellent staff, room good size and good size bathroom, nice bar area and excellent location
K. L.
Rydges World square is welcoming, convenient and comfortable. Being a Priority Guest member is a great benefit. We appreciate the discount on accommodation, and dining as well as our free welcome drinks on arrival. We have always been given the type of room we have requested. The rooms are very comfortable and pleasantly furnished and the staff are professional and pleasant to deal with. Always a pleasure to revisit Rydges World Square.
B. B.
Great location and staff always friendly and helpful. Rooms are a good size with everything you need. Room service is only ok but lots to do around the area and plenty of restaurants about. Only half a block from Museum station.
J. L.
Would appreciate the choice of different pillow types.
Maybe some simple cutlery and crockery in the room.
Disappointed as we were only given 1 drink coupon when there were 2 of us...
Staff very accommodating and polite.
Otherwise all very good.
m. s.
The room was modern clean and tidy. My view was a bit ordinary but okay. Breakfast has much room for improvement. Spaghetti would be nice and home made baked beans would also be a better addition. Proper poached eggs and baby spinach would also be a great option with Salmon.
J.
First time for my husband and I to stay at Rydges World Square and I knew it was a newly refurbished hotel. The lobby and hallways looked sharp and clean.
The room was modern and clean. Somewhat comfortable. The pillows were a disappoint as not the foam type and my husband slept really badly because of this.
M. O.
The rooms were lovely, the bed was comfortable and massive
The block out Blinds are amazing! Great for a sleep in after being out all night.
Location is great. In between darling harbour and Oxford street.
Love the direct usb plug, in the power sockets next to the bed!
Only down side is in the shower the soap dish, came off the wall and landed in my foot, very painful and now have a massive bruise, room was 1806. Might need a new one since it just pops off its supports.
Valet parking needs to be a bit more sign posted. Had to drive around twice.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Will recommend.
E. P.
We had a an enjoyable stay with all staff friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the buffet breakfast. The bar it is was served in was dark and oppressive for a breakfast location, and I heard quite a few patrons commenting on the lighting, and even going outside for some fresh air.
S. Y.
Great hotel in very central location. Excellent pub downstairs. Friendly and efficient staff. Very good rooms and well appointed. Showers are the only thing that let's them down.
B. T.
My partner left his wallet in the room when we checked out. Was ready 2 board the ship 4 our cruise and discovered we had left his wallet in the room. I rang the hotel and the put his wallet in a taxi and sent it 2 us. We r very happy with our stay there..
B. H.
Location is great, but the price is too steep for a low-4 stars hotel. My room at floor 20 had a low ceiling (I could touch it), no welcome/daily bottle of water, bathroom looks a bit old, mattress yellowed by age.
K. M.
Saved our lives. My family booked a hotel at the Sydney Boutique Hotel in Darlinghurst and we were extremely unimpressed (mould, deceptive photos, dust and hairseverywhere, noisy neighbours/thin walls, ) so we left and looked for any accommodation at the last minute. Found the Rydges at World square and they were beautiful. Easy check in was at 8pm and they happily minded our bags until then. Clean and tidy rooms. Comfortable and relaxing (after the stress of the other place) and in the Perfect location for all our needs. Highly recommend!
J. B.
Nice clean room with great hotel staff. Wifi service is good through out the hotel and the wired service is very quick. Minor issues with the TV, channel selection is limited and will not allow for an external connection. So if you want to use a Chromecast/Fire Stick/Roku etc you will be out of luck. Location downtown is great, walking distance to lots of food and is only a quick cab ride away from the Opera House. Would stay here again
T. M.
I found this was an excellent hotel. The room was very comfortable. Don't let it deter you from staying however as the staff we have encountered on front desk have generally been helpful. Approx 10 minute walk to David Jones Elizabeth Street but heaps of eating places in the same block.
P. H.
Stayed here again for the long weekend just gone. Hotel staff were again exceptionally friendly and most helpful. Breakfast was great. The only down side was house keeping kept forgetting to leave a shower mat. Requested on one occasion did not bother for the second day. Otherwise choice of which Foxtel channels they take up could be considered. Fox classics instead of Fox 8 might be far better.
Location of the hotel for every where that matters is second to none!
All in all a great hotel to stay at and looking forward to my October Visit.
J. G.
Nice hotel in a great location in the CBD. The hotel is new and the rooms are okay sized. However, I do have one issue with the rooms. After 5 days of living out of a suitcase moving around for business, I was looking forwards to unpacking and settling in for 5 nights in Sydney, but there was no wardrobe space for clothes in the room. Only 5 hangers out in the open and a shelf. There were 2 drawers, but one had the room safe in it, so was impossible to use for anything else. In addition, the space to store a suitcase was too small for my medium sized case. This was all very bizarre, but in the end manageable for a solo traveller, but would have been a nightmare had I been traveling with a partner. Great hotel, great breakfast, nice rooms, but very little storage space!
F. R.
The room is nice but there aren't any interesting amenities. The gym has dumbells up to 30 kilos and a few cardio machines. The beds are alright and the bathrooms are great but the bedding is very plastic-y. Seems like they're waterproof or something. There isn't a interesting view but you're right on top of world square center which has tons of stores and restaurants which is fun. Lots of places to walk to as well. About 25 minutes wall to the opera house.
J. W.
This hotel is great. Fastest wifi I've ever seen in Australia (100mbps each way). Room is lovely, bed is perfect very comfortable and shower hot and strong. Staff are lovely and breakfast is worth the asking price ($18 a day when I pre booked it with my room). You can get a $10 food and beverage voucher for every day you choose not to have your room cleaned too. Lots of options here are. Location is fantastic, there is a shopping centre at the bottom of the building with a supermarket and many stores. Great place to stay.
M. M.
First time staying in the hotel & we were greatly surprised. The bar was awesome downstairs, room was very clean & organised. We had a room upgrade as well so it was even better. We had World Square in our mind as a bit down scale but it is really good & we will recommend it.
S. T.
Convenient location right in the middle of the city. We book corporate accommodation here. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Reasonable pricing and good customer service.
K. M.
One of the better Rydges hotels I have stayed in of late but I still wouldn't rate it the claimed 4 stars - more like 3. Room and bed was comfy. Bathroom was pretty spacious although the shower cubicle felt really cheap and flimsy. The public areas of the hotel were nice. The breakfast was OK but wouldn't have been worth the full $30 charge. Fortunately, I had a package deal that included breakfast, internet and parking. You have to be really careful with Rydges online bookings however and keep a note of exactly what is claimed to be included in the rate - the email confirmation doesn't mention the included extras. When my express checkout bill was delivered on my morning of departure they'd charged for all the things that were supposed to be included and I had to get Reception to manually remove them when checking out. I couldn't help wondering how many people just sign the express checkout form, drop it in the box and never notice that they've been overcharged! Pretty dodgy practice on the part of Rydges if you ask me!
J. W.
Other than the shower leaking badly, (which didn't really worry us) everything was great, especially the one o'clock check out, that was wonderful. All staff very pleasant and helpful. Also Hotel in great position for our needs on the weekend.
V. B. T.
Not very good service as no instruction how to use the card. I stayed in the lift for quite a while with the card inserted and try to figured out what was wrong. Glasses really need personal touch as i found that glasses in the room and in the buffet quite dirty, looked like they had been wipe with poor quality paper and leave dust on the glasses
.. C. F.
Booked a room on wotif last minute not realising check in was 8.30pm which was totally our fault for not reading the terms & conditions so this was really going to stuff our plans for the night.
The lady & manager behind the counter were absolute gems they bent over backwards to accomodate.
They organised a room for us straight away while honouring the discounted price & apologised for the inconvenience & also gave us drink vouchers.
The room also is very nice & very clean. Well done guys!!
Cheers!

I have been to many hotels around the world but this is the place for the most comfortable beds and pillows ever! That's why l keep coming back.

Central location..clean nice hotel

We loved our stay at Rydges World Square in April 2019. The hotel is centrally located - 15min walking distance to Darling Harbour, train stations, and the Westfield Mall. It was a tad longer to the Harbour / Opera House (about 30-40mins walk). The room was spacious, and had everything we needed. Buffet breakfast was great especially the yoghurt / muesli stand. We also grabbed a great package deal on their loyalty membership online (free) - cost was around $1,000 for 6 nights including daily breakfast, valet parking (didn't use as we were visiting family), a bottle of wine, and luna park tickets! I would easily stay here again!
K. R.
From checkin to checkout and everything in between, the service and facilities at this hotel was just brilliant. I had just gotten off a 14 hour flight and arrived at reception quite late and very weary. Checkin was efficient and quick. To my delight I was upgraded and given a late checkout (I am a black card Priority Guest Rewards Member) and I didn't have to ask. The room was new and fresh and beds very comfortable. After being away overseas for 5 weeks - it was heaven!
Thank you once again Rydges World Square. Put simply - I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Love your hotel. It really does feel like my second home.
D. R.
Was overall happy with our stay over the weekend, we were told when we arrived that we had been upgraded room so that was a nice suprise but to find out it was probably the exact same room just maybe a few floors higher. When booking the room online it stated it was a room with a view and upon arrival I found out the view was of an old building...couldnt see no city lights or nothing worth "looking at or enjoying" so to speak. So I guess that was probably my only down side but apart from that we enjoyed the hotel.
m. A.
Rydges hotels are pretty good everywhere in Australia and this one at World Square Sydney is no exception. good location and value for money however the service was very average. happened to be that they were having lift problems but that was minor. They forgot to do housekeeping of my room on the 2nd day which was very inconvenient for me when I came to my room at 11pm and it wasn't clean and I didn't have clean towels to use.. I was too tired and went to bed disappointed. I called housekeeping next morning to get a clean towel. Room service was ok (very delicious lamb cutlet lol) so overall it was satisfactory.. thanks.
g. h.
Rooms are bright and large compare to other hotels in Sydney. I love Serhans work. He looks after everyone in a professional manner. He is a star. Thanks to reception I received a quiet room.
A. D.
Good location, rooms are nice, staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Showers are a little annoying, there isn't a big enough lip at the bottom so the floor gets wet and very slippery. Only two large towels was a little short too.
R.
Very nice hotel, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, It made our stay in Sydney highly enjoyable. One comment, however. While we appreciated the fresh, modern design and furnishing of the guest rooms the total lack of storage space is frustrating. None of the furniture has any drawers whatsoever, not even the closet. The bathroom similarly lacks any space for putting out one's own toiletry articles. This deficiency sadly prevents me from writing a better review and would cause me to consider other options when visiting Sydney again.
A. T.
Went to a training session in ballroom 1. Facilities were nice and clean. Catering was ok. Staff were polite and good with clearing away used plates, cups and rubbish. Also great central location with easy access to public transport.
M. C.
We had made our hotel reservation through the Qantas app on our phone and multiple bookings were made in error via the app, which caused confusion for staff at Rydges. Despite booking issues, staff at the reception desk were extremely helpful and efficient at resolving the issue. The family room and the bathrooms were spacious and clean.
D. C.
My wife and I recently stayed here for our anniversary. Staff were great. V professional and nothing was too much trouble. From the early check in to the complimentary champers to the room upgrade, they really helped make our trip to Sydney memorable. Thank you Rydges. We will be back. Im only giving them 4 stars to keep them on their toes for next trip. Lol. X

We loved staying at Rydges World Square. It was our first time at this hotel but it won't be our last as we had a great room and a great stay. We were upgraded to a balcony room and it was just perfect. Great Rydges bed! Breakfast was delicious. The staff at Rydges were so friendly and welcoming. We were able to walk around Sydney with everything close. Central Station, Darling Harbour etc. Fantastic hotel!
A. S.
Great location, have always loved staying there! This time we got an upgrade to a Suite so it was even more wonderful. Big rooms and a very comfortable Dreambed. Not to forget the late checkout!! :)

I was pleasantly surprised by my King Deluxe room on the 18th floor for an overnight business stay. The hotel's location is brilliant. Quite like the location, close to Darling harbour which means its a walk to circular quay but I suggest …

A great value-for-money hotel located in World Square, close to Central, George Street cinemas, Town Hall etc. Excellent service from the Valet and a no fuss check-in. Got an upgrade (I stay here frequently) which was great.
Cidery Bar is nice and there are no complaints about the restaurant.
10/10

Quality is just normal. Nothing really special and the TV only has local channels.
The front desk people are really helpful though.
Location is also good. A lot of food choices around the area.

I left some change by my bedside which were gone when I came back. :(

great professional staff offering good service, parking works out to be cheaper as you can park until 6pm next day, very good location close to every where you should visit in the city. highly rec.

Room service - excellent. Located in a very convenient section of town; easy access to restaurants, shops etc. and not far from darling habour or pitt street mall. Room is neat and comfortable but feels gloomy because of the lighting and colours (Brown and white)

Room cleanliness (2003) wasn't quite up to usual standards. Some rubbish on shelf in cupboard & all glasses streaky; looking like they'd been cleaned without detergent. Some smoking occurring in vicinity of room 2003 which is a major negative. Otherwise excellent; especially bar & restaurant service.
Reception staff friendlier than usual which is very welcome.
Thankyou for the opportunity to comment.

The hotel was great, with the awesome dream bed and location to the CBD. Only problems was that the room service waygu beef burger was extremely dry as if it had been cooked hours previous. The other issue was of staff ignoring me and my partner clearly waiting for assistance at the concierge for over 15 minutes. 3 staff members looked up and made eye contact then went back to chatting among themselves and typing on the computer. So we had to go down to the valet in order to retrieve our bags from the cloakroom.

Good central place to stay, they have good deals. Good buffet breakfast. But honestly the sheets are that stiff and harsh, tossing and turning a lot at night will leave you with sore elbows.

Helpful staff. Reasonable rooms. Though my last room from time to time there would be a large bang and the wall my bed was against would bounce quite a lot. Very strange. Also last two times ive stayed there theres been no bottle opener in the room. Ive had to ask for one. Im starting to think they dont want me to have wine!;)

During our five day stay at 'The Rydges', every member of staff we came in contact with were very pleasant, friendly and amiable. Nothing was a problem to them. May I mention the concierge - there is very little these guys don't know about Sydney, and what they don't know, wouldn't be worth knowing anyway. Our room was perfect for our needs - not too spacious and not cramped, well appointed, and very quiet. The breakfast buffet was to die for and the selection was huge. Location - Pitt Street, in the center of the C.B.D. with facilities close by, with the Central Station at one end and Circular Quay at the other. If I have a need to return to Sydney, I won't hesitate to re-book at 'The Rydges' and, if someone asks my recommendation, again, 'The Rydges'.

Service is great, room is large, huge bed, luggage storage available. Fantastic location in the centre of the city, also has a 'business centre' with a few computers and printers available to guests which is handy.
D. G.
Nice bed, great shower, bath, good food, good bar, location pretty good, service very efficient, idea of discount on food for reduced cleaning expenses very innovative.
Wireless a bit up and down in room, was quite expensive, mini bar prices hard to find
J. T.
the room is clean and spaces. the service is quick and plsease. i have been working there. the the organization is perfect. the employee the friendly. if i have the chance and money i would like to spend my holiday with my family in the hotel

A home away from home. As we were not due to depart Sydney until late afternoon the hotel advised that our car could remain parked until late afternoon and that our bags could be secured by the concierge until our departure. Staff were all very friendly helpful and polite. Lovely service from start to finish.
A.
Great accommodation. Excellent customer service. Definately will be back again.

We had lunch at the Cidery. The Gnocchi I had was delicious. Great place to have a quiet bite to eat as the music wasn't to low you couldn't hear it but not blasting your ears out either.

Disconcerting to be expected to pay on checking-in - fortunately I had a bank account at a nearby bank or it could have been embarrassing. Reception staff fine, Tommy and Serhan on concierge duty good, but another concierge had very poor English and was not helpful. Breakfast fine. My room (1801) had only a single cup and a single teaspoon - no saucers or second cups. Odd. On two occasions I had to contact housekeeping when my room had not been cleaned before 3.30 p.m. although I'd been out of the room all morning.

To the hotel manager; Simon, as you will be aware I have been a guest of this hotel for many years and I would have to say my last visit on the 15th of March. I was greeted by one of your new reception staffs and her name was Carly. Let me say it was one of the most pleasant experience I had upon entering Rydges World Square. I had an issue with the original room I was allocated upon informing the front office staff. Carly called me back to my room extremely friendly and genuinely concerned and offered me to come back down to the reception to pick up a room swipe card for another room. Later when I was sitting in chairs outside the bar, Carly again came past, smiled and greeted me asking "am I happy with the new room and should I need anything, please tell her and she would be happy to assist"
With my own years of management with ANSETT Airlines, I can say the way in which this young lady conducts herself is nothing more than highly professional and extremely pleasant.
M. G.
Nice to find a Sydney hotel offering a twin room with double beds (as opposed to singles). Good location. Good-sized tidy room with everything that was required (incl. kettle & free wifi). No issues encountered over the three nights. Would stay here again.
J. V.
We stayed at Rydges World Square on Friday 28th October after seeing Aladdin at the nearby Capitol Theatre.
Positives - We were upgraded to next level room (1814) on arrival. Valet & reception staff pleasant.
Bar & restaurant staff pleasant. Restaurant Meals (except Whiting) were tasty. Good breakfast selection, however, a Barista coffee would have been nice. Comfortable beds. Block out window coverings. Room clean, tidy & quiet (except air conditioner)
Not so positives - As part of the Priority Guest Rewards program, I was entitled to a bottle of water, a newspaper, 20% off food & beverage & free internet. Had to phone reception to ask if I could use the bottle of water in the minibar as my free one, which was eventually agreed to. Asked for a newspaper but did not receive it. Free internet was not worth bothering - less than dial-up speed (0.18 Mbps) & constant dropouts. Air conditioner made sleep difficult, as it sounded like a generator in the room. Ordered Whiting for dinner, however, I could not eat it, due to the number of tiny bones. To the restaurant Managers credit, he offered to delete the cost of the Whiting from the bill, an offer which I should have agreed to. On checkout I had to request the bill be adjusted to include 20% food & beverage discount. Parking costs are far too high.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Rydges World Square, despite the few hiccups. All staff encountered were friendly & courteous. We would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to others.

I had a very comfortable stay and the room and foyer etc was very clean. Only annoying factor was I was trying to watch a movie whilst laying in bed. However, there seems to be a movement sensor which kept shutting power off, stopping the TV, hence missed lots of the movie as it took a while to figure out why the power kept going out.
T. D.
I stayed in a one bed suite. It's spacious and comfortable. Check in was efficient and the staff were friendly. Really good location.
M. L.
Best hotel ever , made me feel like family .... rooms, service and food just world class and the management just cant do enough for you !!!!
J. Z.
In a wonderful location. Great places to eat in all directions. Close to Chinatown plus the city. Room lovely. Extremely clean. Standards very high. Beds and pillows - amazing. Definitely be coming back!!!
C. C.
Lovely stay - comfortable room, polite staff. Great that they're offering free wifi in all rooms, more hotels should do that! Excellent location, right in the middle of the city.
S. R.
We opted for Rydges as the location was relatively close to a function we were attending plus its only a few block from the main shopping area in the CBD. If you are driving like us they only offer valet parking but it works smoothly and being a member of the rewards program the room cost plus valet parking still beat many lesser hotels in the vacuity. Valet parking worked well, but we had expected an area to drive in off Pitt Street, but instead you simply park at the kerb and the valet team come to you. Check in was quick and efficient and we were upgraded to a room on the 19th floor. Not much of a view, but the additional sofa made the room more usable. Bed was a bit soft, but we still had a good nights sleep and the 'rain' shower in the morning was delightful. Another benefits of joining the rewards program was late checkout till 1pm and this gave us plenty of time to explore and shop. Will certainly stay there again.
m. T.
Check in very good. Staff freindly
Room was clean though the toilet was not up to standard. Hair behind the seat and dryed urine need to be wiped over. The bathroom Exhust was very loud may because it was not clogged up like some I have seen.
The shower screens doors are heavy, if released to early it slams shut it has a plastic seal so it is not cusioned and closes with a loud bang .
Coffee was lacking the spoons need to be wash again. Recomendation tea towel to allow guests to wash cups etc and dry them. Up date kettle to cordless type.
Power point and USB connection next to bed absolutely fantastic.
Though the room we stayed in had a lounge but no were to place coffee cup or a glass.
Huge TV.
WHY SO MANY FOX SPORTS CHANNELS?
Bed comfortable.
Breakfast was good though the staff are too busy restting to engage guests. One recommendation would to have waitstaff pour coffee and tea at tables. Engagement of guests.
One cook looking after the buffet.
The hotel is very well situated in the city of Sydney.
I would stay again
Wife is senior cleaner at a motel on the Southcoast
she gave the room a thumbs down beside the toilet.
Hand towel not changed
Teaspoon not washed
The corners and edges not vacumned. Correctly.

Seems like this hotel is hit-and-miss depending on which room you get. I was staying in the CBD as it was our company Xmas party and I didn't want to get a cab home. Most hotels were in the "ridiculous" price category for this night (16 Dec) but I got a room online on the Rydges Website for $149.00 which seemed good value. Check-in was quick and efficient. The same staff member (Sheree? - A lovely Chinese girls anyway) served me the next morning and was friendly, smiling and helpful. Room was great. Excellent water pressure in shower. Responsive air conditioning. Rydges "super bed" or whatever it's called was very comfy and restful. Room was very clean. Only negative thing was the floor numbering of the hotel - it's deceiving. I was on the "15th" floor, but this is really the 5th floor - rooms start on floor 10, which is the 1st floor. Weird system. Also, when I wanted to sleep-in the next morning, housekeeping staff in other rooms doing their job were VERY noisy. I know they have work to do and need to do it quickly, but there seemed to be an army of them, and they were really chatty, noisy and banged things around a lot. Really minor detail but thought I'd mention it. Parking at $50 is way over-priced, but that's Sydney for you. Location is excellent, although can be difficult for cabs to stop outside the hotel at times. Mini bar priced quite well considering it's a 4-star hotel in downtown Sydney. Would stay again if I needed to. Just another Rydges Hotel - but consistent and nothing to really complain about.
G. S.
Decent hotel with a good selection of restaurants and bars nearby. Located somewhat in the heart of Sydney City, accessible and easy to walk to many shopping centres and retailers. A little further from Darling Harbour but manageable if happy to walk the extra few minutes.
B. P. S.
Great place to stay at the room we got the view is alright nothing special, the wifi speed here is not that bad quite good for anyone who is a addicted to social media. Overall it’s a pleasant stay at here

I stayed at the Rydges World Square for just over 2 months.
The staff, food, rooms and Concierge service were all excellent.
I used the valet parking every day and those guys were amazing. Even though Pitt St is extremely busy, my car would be ready for me every morning at the allocated time. Also they would nearly always meet me as I pulled up of an evening and address me by name which was a lovely touch.
The room that I used had recently been fully renovated and overlooked the World Square. It really was beautiful.
The buffet breakfast every morning was delicious and would get me off to work well satisfied.
Eating dinner most nights in the Sphere Restaurant was an absolute delight. The Restaurant Manager Vincenzo is an absolute legend. He is the life of the restaurant and really ensures that you are satisfied.. The chefs do an excellent job and swap the menu around from time to time.
The hotel Manager (John McIlwain) is a lovely guy who runs a great establishment. He is often on the Concierge desk meeting new guests and checking up on the satisfaction levels of existing patrons.
I highly recommend a stay here. I have tried other hotels in Sydney and this is excellent choice because of it's great value for money and genuinely central location.I will be back!
M. F.
Conveniently located for shoppers including dining super market and postal services
L. C.
Ive stayed here a few times before and the food was amazing, friendly staff and customer service. The rooms are really nice and clean, all positive vibes around.

Excellent service. The staff are friendly and professional. Hotel is very clean. Room had a separate bath and shower. Loved the king bed!

Consistently fantastic service. Rooms are clean and well appointed. World square has everything you need. Concierges honour of their way to help, whether it's a taxi or help with bags.
J. R.
Tried the room service, portions are bigger than expected. Considering a $10 voucher everytime housekeeping is passed, a good value for money service. Great location as most destinations in Sydney's
M. F.
First time staying at Rydges World Square Sydney, I am impressed with the service from the time I arrived by car, Valet parking was very helpful,, reception was amazing upgraded my room as I needed to be at an appointment and was checking in about 1.30pm, original room was not ready as I had arrived before 2pm.
Whilst staying there all staff were lovely and friendly, was breeze checking out, valet parking prompt to bring my car to me. I will definitely being staying again, I have to go to Sydney in may and June already looking at sorting my booking with Rydges.
M. L.
Attended a professional event, our meals were set up in the middle of the foyer which was unacceptable. This was also not a good experience for guests checking in or making their way through foyer and dodging over 300 people lined up to have their morning tea and lunch.
R. A.
Quite, friendly, great staff on check in. They remembered us when we returned to pick up our luggage!
K. M.
We stayed at Rydges World Square Sydney. The entire experience was great. The perfect position in the CBD, the room was so dark you would not know what time of day it was. Perfect for sleeping in. The pillows were the best. Valet parking and concierge was so easy and great. The only one comment I would make is that the complementary drink card is restricted to house beer only. I can't imagine it would cost a lot more to allow all tapped beer available as the house beer was bad!!!!
T. S.
We stayed here for the weekend and had a fabulous time. The hotel and amenities are top notch. The Cidery fantastic, but the outstanding feature at this hotel are the wonderfully welcoming staff.
n. k.
The room was great, but the water in the shower booth was leaking out a bit during taking a shower. So it was wet on the floor in the bathroom. Everything was perfect except for this.
T. W.
Clean spacious room, polite and helpful staff just some minor maintenance issues in the bathroom. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
G. S.
In room service menu could have been better. No good views from room. TV is a pain to operate, including the remote. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
C. C.
Staff are professional & polite. Rooms are excellent with comfortable bed. Buffet continental breakfast is very good. Only negative - $60 valet parking is a bit pricey & street noise was disturbing.
R. S. A.
The room was spacious, neat & well laid. The staff at the reception was helpful and service at the restaurant was good. Concierge was quite helpful in explaining nearby places of interest, places for shopping etc.
R. D.
Nice room on the 20th floor. Clean enough but the shower was a worry to get into take your thongs with you. Good location close to Westfield and other shopping places as well as restaurants.
K. N.
I thought it was great! Staff were really nice and they were great enough to call up and tell us our room was ready (before normal check in times) after landing on a red eye flight.
G. M. T.
The room is spacious. I especially like the soap provided.
This hotel is located at a very good location whereby we can go to nearby places for shopping and meals very easily.
R. J.
Great location, great room service, and overall a very good experience. The shower however would go cold for about 5 minutes roughly 7 minutes into my shower. Kind of annoying. Happened to most of showers over a 7 night stay.
L. S.
Attended the AFCC 2017 Conference at the Rydges World Square. Great food and room in the heart of the city. Staff were very helpful. The location in the heart of the city was great for exploration. on foot.
My only downer was that booking on Wotif, the earliest I was able to check-in was 7pm. It worked for me but was a nuisance.
I. W.
Staff were polite and professional. Rooms were clean. Ways to get discounts were display clearly on your bed. Been before and will go again.
N. V. M.
Handy location for a business trip to Sydney, but average property. Room facilities a bit run down and staff efficient but perfunctory, clearly more used to checking large tour groups in and out than making solo travellers feel at home.
Best features are direct access to underground passage to Town Hall Station and only a block from Museum for access to Sydney Airport.
T. R.
an adequate city centre hotel boosted by good staff and a practical location. if you're OK with the price and where it is, there's unlikely to be any reason not to have a fine stay. I presented at a conference here and those facilities were good. it was actually the only venue which got all my equipment requests correct.
A. R.
Great place to stay, room was amazing, didn't use any of the services but I'm sure it would be good only reason for 4 instead of 5 is didn't really get a good view, just of more buildings but still alright
W. S.
Location is spot on. You can walk your way around the Harbour seeing iconic landmarks like Opera house and Harbour Bridge. Train stations are quite close if you have to venture outside of the CBD like to Bondi or Out to base of Blue Mountains
The rooms are well appointed and you have the options of being eco friendly or not. There is a lot of restaurants close by to satisfy most tastes with Asian food being the predominant choice.
All said I would recommend trying this place to my friends
B. R.
Happy as we arrived early hoping to be able to store our bags while we waited until 2pm (check in time) the wonderful guy at the desk was able to upgrade us to a better room at no charge and check us in as early as 11am!!
K. C. G.
Our room was dusty and there's this weird thing happening in the room's sensor... Never turn off the lights or else, all power in your room will automatically shut down cos it won't detect that someone's staying inside. Breakfast was the same for 3 days.
s. g.
Its a wonderful place to stay and if u are a pokemon trainer like my self u stay here u get 3 pokestops at all time i would give 5 stars however they give a free bottle of wine but I don't drink so they should have free non alcohol choices or they would have been more then five stars and there food could be abit cheaper cause not many people can afford much cause of covid so more places should consider it
M. R.
Once a big hole in the ground, World square is now a vibrant hub. Rydges is conveniently located and the staff are very helpful.
D. J.
Large clean rooms with helpful staff. Very well located with many dining options in and immediately outside the hotel. Parking is expensive, but that's to be expected in Sydney.
D. G.
Nice bed, great shower, bath, good food, good bar, location pretty good, service very efficient, idea of discount on food for reduced cleaning expenses very innovative. …
B. C.
Stayed at the Rydges World Square earlier this week for a trip to Sydney. Mostly a positive experience with the negative coming from the dining experience in the hotel restaurant. …
J. R.
Really nice rooms, always clean. Bathroom was great even if the shower was a bit odd. Great location as well.
L. C.
Great value for money

Great location. Close to lots of wonderful food options from around the world.

The hotel was very busy, wifi was terrible and kept dropping out, as did the TV reception which continually broke up. Apart from that room was comfortable and on the quiet side of the building. Breakfast was good and plentiful with lots of choice and all staff service very good.
D. D.
OK. .. We have stayed multiple times. .. And I agree. .. It is hit and miss. .. There always seems to be a few things a miss .. This time it was the air conditioning and we had a 1 1/2r wait for our room... But in saying that we had a 2 min …

Professional experience Had to attend a meeting at this hotel. It went very well. Well appointed rooms, equipment worked, food excellent and very helpful staff. Well done

I stay at Rydges all over Australia. They're all good but World Square stands out. The rooms are meticulous, the Italian Restaurant is always excellent & the staff are efficient & polite even when under pressure. The Hotels location on the rail line & within the CBD is very convenient.
T. M.
A good location. Front desk was very professional. If anything the room was noisy.
C. M.
Great location, rooms and beds were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet was also good value as part of our stay
S. T.
beautiful rooms and comfy beds only complaint is that one of the teaspoons hadnt been cleaned and had the past guests drink on it. apart from that great place.

Excellent hotel in heart of Sydney's most dynamic area, Chinatown. Close to everything. Very clean and friendly. Wonderful A. H. Beard brand bed.
P. B.
Had a nice time at Rydges. As a priority member, I was offered a free extra night weekend stay which was fantastic. Enjoyed the stay. At the heart of Sydney and with so many dining options nearby, it was great.
D. O.
Some elements of our stay were 4star+, however we encountered a good number of things that one should not expect from a 4star motel. Things that a motel charging half the amount would eliminate as part of procedure!
L. W.
Professional experience Had to attend a meeting at this hotel. It went very well. Well appointed rooms, equipment worked, food excellent and very helpful staff. Well done
R. S.
Attended a conference. The Grand Ballroom is and odd-shaped room (amalgam of smaller partitionable rooms). Shape of the room meant a bad layout and so a challenging learning environment for a seminar/conference. The food was pretty good though.
M. K.
Lovely place to stay. We enjoyed the front desk staff and the location in the CBD. We would stay on a return to Sydney. Loved the Macchiato Restaurant nearby.
S. C.
Great location, and wish more hotels would follow suit in offering vouchers for declining cleaning service. -1 star for poor concierge service though. Had a package shipped to the hotel and alerted the concierge to the criticality of the shipment, and on the day the package was supposed to arrive, the status changed to "awaiting collection". The concierge said this means it will be delivered the next day. I contacted the Post - they said that status means delivery was attempted, but nobody was available to receive the package (the concierge said they receive all packages). I had to make a trip to the Post to pick it up myself. As a business traveler from another country, I needed to rely on the concierge to help me with receiving my package, but the concierge provided incorrect information, was not able to perform their job, and I had to take things in my own hands.
D. G.
I regularly stay at the Rydges World Square and continue to be impressed by the service and the quality of the rooms. Beds are extremely comfortable and quiet. You are always guaranteed a good night's sleep.
D. O.
Love the Rydges brand high standards snd extra comfy beds. However World Square is my particular fav both Concierge and staff are so very helpful - will be staying with you again very soon.
H. B.
My stay at Rydges was very average for the amount of money I paid. The hallways are very dark and the mood of the building was very dull. On arrival I was told that the trip had not been paid for which was very inconvenient due to the fact I hadn't bought my credit card and only had a savings card. Another thing was that this was never confirmed during booking and I assumed I had already paid in full.
K. C.
Great location and rooms always clean and well maintained
J. J.
My stay was absolutely amazing friendly helpful staff. My special thanks to Krill, Mitch and Dylan . Five stars. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks for a great stay.
M. N.
If you want to be in the heart of some of the best Asian food, amazing shopping a walk away - high end and budget and a shopping centre and food outlets galore under your feet - doesn't get any better than this. The beautiful war memorial is a 2 minute walk away and so also is vegan Dim Sum. Everyone delivers by Uber so even food you can't get to quickly is easy.

I went to Rydges World Square to meetup with an old friend. The room was really nice, it was in a good location with lots of good restaurants to choose from. Service seemed very professional. My friend was happy with his stay.

Beautiful place to stay. Close to everything in the city. The most heavenly beds and pillow. Continental breakfast was amazing. Will be staying there again

Always great, clean rooms staff are friendly, great food, always happy to help with anything you need. Great location.

Very comfortable room clean and well maintained, complimentary wi-fi. Had issues intially with room key but this was sorted quickly. Staff are friendly and helpful.
J. M.
Very roomy interconnecting rooms. Breakfast had good variety. Conference room was well laid out & had plenty of video screens.
板.
Here is convenient location for restraint, Bay Area, fish market etc.
also when we request extra bed they confirmed and quick response too. And all staff was very kindness and informed us best info. about Aussie beef.
Thank you very much and we will enjoy tomorrow of last day in Sydney.
Best regards,
J. C.
We love staying at Rydges, staffs are amazing and always available to assist. Great arrival experience as they always acknowledged us by name and organise room as per our preference. Vema and Diana are amazing, great ambassadors for your reception team.

I've stayed in a lot of motels here and this place is one of the best, all staff here are excellent and the place is immaculate.

Attended an event. Lunch could have been better, fresher, more healthy. Venue is a little all over the shop. Could be redesigned to be a little more 'together'. Feels a little dated, or perhaps is lacking some plants to jazz it up, or some fresh White paint and wow lighting?

LOCATION
This hotel sits in the best location as it is situated within a walkable distance to Chinatown, Hyde Park, Oxford street, Darling Harbour and even Kings Cross. Otherwise, buses are very accessible within a 2 mins walk on Elizabeth street to Bondi, Coogee, Bronte or buses on George street and Townhall to other parts of Sydney.
ROOMS
The rooms are as what you would expect of a hotel room. But sometimes you may be entitled to a deluxe room if it is available.
SERVICE/BREAKFAST
This is where I have a problem with this hotel. The location is so good, that it would only be sensible to boast great service and breakfast to accentuate the greatness of the hotel. However, after a nice day out and a good rest, you wake up to a very 'average' buffet breakfast.
I am also commenting on this because I go to this hotel for buffet breakfast quite often as I am a frequent travellor. And the breakfast is basically 'downsizing' from bad to worse. Someone in this hotel needs to address this !
In any other Asia Pacific region country, this is not acceptable for a buffet breakfast of a 4 star hotel !
Anticlimatic.

I had a great stay at the Rydges hotel. Sad that it was only for one night. I was "upgraded" to a "king executive" suite. Staff were very friendly and the room was great.
G. N.
On our arrival at Rydges World Square, we were made to feel most welcome; and throughout our stay all the personnel we encountered were very helpful, courteous, and friendly.
Although the hotel is located pretty much in the heart of a very busy city, our room was very quiet, spacious, and comfortable.
We’d start each day with a substantial breakfast in the hotel’s Sphere restaurant, giving us the energy to spend the day sightseeing; and then we’d finish off at the end of the day with a nightcap in the The Cidery Bar & Kitchen.
As well as their own bar and restaurant; the hotel is part of the World Square complex with many other food outlets, bars, and shops; with even a substantial supermarket tucked away below ground.
Further afield the whole area around the hotel is inundated with places to eat, drink and kick back.
Literally everything touristy is within easy walking distance from Rydges World Square. Almost on the doorstep are China Town, CBD shopping, and Tumbalong Park - which leads you straight to Darling Harbor; where you can hop on one of the many harbor ferries. For the less fleet of foot; Central Station, Museum Station, and Town Hall railway stations; as well as the light rail system are all within a couple of minutes’ walk. If you prefer a taxi, one of the friendly hotel staff will have one there for you in no time. In fact they saved me a few dollars one day, by pointing out it was actually cheaper to travel by taxi than the train trip I’d planned.
I believe this an ideal location to get to see Sydney; we’ll be back.
J.
Friendly and accommodating staff. The family room was perfect. Nice and clean and the room service was prompt.
J. T.
Excellent location, plenty of dining options. Rooms are nicely appointed, clean, and relatively modern. Shower is good and so is the bed.
S. M.
Great welcome at the door and again at the desk. The room was perfect. The gym was well equipped. I had a wonderful short stay. Thankyou.
T. S.
The location at World Square is convenient both from our arrival at Central Railway Station and to places to be visited in the CBD. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the bar and restaurant saves looking for outside eating places when you first arrive. The hotel appears to be maintained in good condition - things work when required e.g the lifts, the air conditioner, the television, etc.
G. B.
Not a bad hotel, good location, nice rooms, the only thing that was a disappointment was the room service which was terrible, I had the cheese and tomato toastie and it was cold, had plastic wrap cheese and was just sub-par, the lasagne I had was even worse, microwaved poorly, I didn't even bother after the first mouthful, so stay there, just don't eat there.
P. W.
I stay at Rydges regularly and am always very happy with the stay. I ask to be placed in a quiet area of the hotel and this request is always accommodated. the staff are always friendly and happy to help out.

I stayed 5 nights & bar not receiving breakfast cards the last 3 & breakfast the last morning everything else was superb, especially the food & staff. I will stay at Ridges again & recommend to family & friends, thank you Graham.

Very well kept foyeur area, multiple concierge both up and down stairs. Some receptionists speak Chinese too. Nice bar in the lobby area too

Conveniently located in the centre of the city with helpful staff. Stayed in a triple room and didn't have any noise issues and the 1pm checkout was very handy. Would stay here again!

Great family room. Wonderful beds. Lovely dark block out blinds.
Shower leaked. And limited food options for young kids.
M. A.
Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, good facilities and great location.
A. G. U.
Room was nice and adequate for 4 people. Would definitely stay there again. Only wish back door entrance wouldnt close so people coming in from george street wont have to walk around for the entrance
A. R.
Nice rooms, awesome location. The food is ok but you can find better just outside the front door.
A. M.
Room service was affordable. room was lovely. $200 deposit was steep, but they were lovely about options. Would stay again
M. M.
Stayed in an executive room. Nice clean and well maintained room with all the amenities I needed. Room service was great and staff have been pleasant and helpful.
A. R.
Good location in the city. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Easy to and from public transport. Room was basic but clean, the shower was actually very good!
V. N.
Super hotel in city center. The staff is really professional and helpful, the rooms and big and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend.

Love this hotel. In a great location and as a top tier rewaeds member here am tested well and usually get room upgrades and free gift in room.
K. C.
Wasn't a guest but visited a guest. Hotel rooms were clean, well laid out, good amount of amenities. Great location too.
J. R.
Really nice rooms, always clean. Bathroom was great even if the shower was a bit odd. Great location as well.

As always a great hotel, clean, neat and good service.
P.
Nice clean rooms and facilities. Staff are really friendly. The place is pretty busy and has a nice 'buzz' to it.
M. G.
Modern room, quiet, spacious. Pillows flat. Friendly staff.
J. S.
Overall a nice business hotel. Doesn’t have kitchen neither washing machine. Doesn’t have pool, only gym. Spacious rooms and good tv room.
E. R.
Central location is definitely the key benefit, the king size bed was very comfortable. Noisy machinery operates outside all night, I suspect not much can be done about this.
K. R.
Stayed here a number of times, love the benefits of being a member also late check outs the concerige the friendly staff. Always been great each time i stay.
Z. S.
Well priced place to stay in the heart of Sydney, the rooms can be noisy if you are on the Pitt Street side due to lack of insulation/double glazed windows.
S. M.
Clean, well appointed rooms with friendly staff. Great food options nearby and central location.
S. A.
We stayed in a king room at Rydges, beds were very comfortable, location is good with most of Sydney within easy walking distance. The cidery bar is a bit expensive.
B. L.
Nice cosy place and rooms
basic set up within the rooms
nothing too fancy
no real views out the windows
Basic Digital TV channels with a few foxtel ones
Bedding is good for winter as it keeps your body heat in
G. J.
Great location. Rydges World Square is close to everything in Sydney. You could spend days without even going out of the World Square Complex. Food, shops, bars, clubs - everything. Room was completely different to any before at World Square - Balcony King overlooking the Bull. (Suspect Reception gave us a little "bump up" in category). Had breakfast included. Breakfast quality OK but have had better at most other Rydges. Valet parking was good now that I have learnt to grab whatever is available to stop in Pitt St. Concierge and parking staff friendly and helpful.
J. W.
Beautiful facility, great food. Very central, and close to everything you want in Sydney. Was also very good for vivid, which was why I was there
L. A.
Really friendly staff, the rooms were amazing. The food was to die for plus they have great breakfast spread..
M. B.
We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Hotel is central to shops, restaurants and train stations. Rooms were stocked and clean. Very helpful staff.

Staff were excellent, great for families and really central location.

I am from Indonesia, Surakarta, when I was in this hotel, first impressions, like not a hotel, hee hee, maybe because I was the first time step on the continent of australia. .
the hotel is convenient for a break after traveling. I can use free wifi, any censored door that must be opened with card, security awake,
delicious cuisine in the morning. and. .
as usual, after a long walk while traveling around the sydney central, feet needing stretching, entering the room and head straight for the bathroom, soaking feet in warm water mixed with salt, just ask the waiter to deliver salt, complete service.
afterwards drinking tea, while enjoying local television broadcasts.
btw,
From this hotel I can walk to, darling harbor, paddys market, restaurant, bar, cafe, macd, starbucks, museum, bus stop, sydney metro monorail, hyde park, kfc, lifestyle mall, cinema, fitness, shop branded, water (ohh, because there are so many, I can not remember everything), and many more interesting places to visit just by foot.
when i take this walk, i do not use gps, just memorize the street name, i can come back to this hotel without losing direction.
thank you rydges sydney wordsquare hotel!
the price is very affordable!
unfortunately I have not stopped by the pool, because of the busy schedule in Sydney!
hope there is an invitation to bring me here again!

Didn't stay because we booked the wrong hotel, but Mitch at reception was extremely helpful and polite considering the mishap. Deserves a raise.

Great hotel amazing service. Late check out was so very helpful. Bed was comfy and room was clean.
D. K. B.
Great adjoining rooms, plenty of space to be comfortable. Room service food is delicious.

I had a very nice stay in the World Square Rydges Hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and big. No complaints.
B. S.
A very relaxing & comfortable stay in a room that was expansive & a bathroom that also was roomy. All interaction with staff was pleasant with plenty available to help.
C. B.
This hotel is very central. Great facilities. The staff always have a smile and a nice word.
J. B.
The room and the location were great for me. Food, drinks and supermarket were all right there. Easy walk to Darling Harbour and International Conference Centre.
M. B.
Conveniently located in the middle of the city close to the light rail. Clean, modern, great service
G. A.
Where do I begin.. the staff are welcoming.. the shower has shampoo and conditioner.. that is all yours to take with you..
And I do have a guilty pleasure of a long hot bath listening to toto..
The bed is a solid 1 x piece king suite..
The phone is perfectly in order.. and well attended..
The pan seared teriyaki salmon fillet glazed with light teriyaki sauce, served with a seasonal garden salad and a side of jasmin rice is true to a world class level..
The grand piano in the lobby makes my heart sing... and with a view to die for over the pit of pit street is a refreshing change...
I have found my new home in SYD..
With an international style mini bar with all the plums from the ice box... for the price point.. you could say I am in love.
Hats off to the rydges krew..
Xoxoxoxo

C. Y.
Clean, comfortable, central location and modern hotel. Friendly staff and very comfortable bed. Definitely recommend
S. N.
Close to places to eat and train station. Also has a few shops nearby and supermarket. Rooms are good and clean. Work events are professional and we'll catered.

Hello very happy with our stay at Rydges, only gripe I have is that my lemonade from the minibar water in it instead of lemonade and I was still charged after explaining this to the front desk, they said they wouldn't charge me for it, but when I got home it was on the receipt
J. T.
Nice hotel and great location with plenty of ammenities around if you need anything with lots of restaurant choices
S. D.
As always a great place to stay. Reception staff (especially Zoe) very helpful. Have organised for friends to stay next weekend to share the experience.
A. L.
A very nice hotel in a prominent location in inner CBD of Sydney. Very good location with Coles supermarket below as well as a large variety of restaurants. Lots of places to shop and eat nearby.
D. A.
I stay here every time I come to Sydney. Fantastic location and the friendliest staff in the business. And make sure to visit the Cidery Bar featuring some great local craft beer on tap. Pado's Pale is my favorite.
M. C.
We always stay at Rydges world square when we stay in Sydney. However, Last weekend was particularly amazing! We were kindly upgraded to a king suite as the staff at Rydges had been advised by my partner that this weekend would be a special one and the service was second to none as always. The staff and my now fiancé even managed to organise a surprise of macaroons from Laduree for my arrival 😍 Thank you so much for making the weekend my partner proposed to me a special one!
We will see you again in a few weeks I'm sure! Xx
G. C.
Great amenities, central and so close to EVERYTHING... Super clean and quiet... Amazing fluffy beds.
g. c.
Awesome food and very reasonably priced. Cocktails made to order and the staff were great
D. L.
I found that all the Staff all greeted you with a friendly smile, and made sure everything was easy. This included the Cider Bar, whose Staff I would love to have working for me.
M. C.
Location is ok but you will be in the middle of massage parlours, foyer is nice, rooms are ok, bed is comfortable, to expensive for what it is
J. B.
I love staying at Rydges World Square Hotel. It offers everything I want whether it be for business or holidays. The rooms are wonderful backed up by friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere.
M. G.
You have an amazing bunch of staff from the concierge ,the reception ,the cleaner and the breakfast place.I feel so well look after from the time I arrive on the front door. They are professional, friendly and caring.
A. L.

Great hotel central location and good price. have stayed here 4 times and always best service and the bed is the best you will slepp on

Room and bed were good but room servicing was not great. For example bath mat not replaced and toilet not cleaned one night. Minibar snacks not replenished on another night.
M. C.
The room was fantastic, hotel staff were very professional and efficient. It was a most enjoyable stay - Thank you
A. J.
I only went inside Rydges hotel for like 20 mins as we had missed our tour bus so we asked the receptionist if they could help us in any way and they helped us out with locating the current location of the bus very nicely and calmly
Y. S.
My friend used here when she came over here the location was absolutely amazing so convenient and friendly staffs
It’s also quiet and safe hotel to say for a young girl herself
T. B.
Rooms a bit run down. No view, and was very annoyed by the directions for the gym making me go on two different floors for nothing.
A. G.
For a hotel bar, this is very good. For a bar, this is very average.
Paddo pale on tap with a good happy hour keeps me coming back.
T. S.
Service was Great, Staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing was their was a single quilt on a double bed not Good for two people in the bed.
E. K.
hotel staff were very helpful. Allowed us to have extended late checkout and leave car in valet parking longer.
D. M.
the over all hotel was well appointed and located but the staff seemed to business like for people like us who were not business people, but hey hard road to follow.
J. P.
Great stay, although parking valet prices were fairly insane. Great location, bathroom was very dated and a little scruffy.
S. C.
Got upgraded to the most excellent room thanks to Neeva on reception for this. The bed was super comfy, loved the clean and quiet room.
P. R.
I am a regular, why? Because Rydges World Square provides great accommodation, the staff are kind and friendly and I have never had a problem in the many years I have been staying there.
T. D.
Lovely venue for seminar. A little cold first thing.
A. B.
Rooms r good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Close to everything.
T. T.
The hotel is really great. Great location being in the middle of sydney. The rooms are good. If placed in the right spot, you should be in range of 3 pokestops
z. p.
Great location. Professional friendly staff. Spacious clean rooms. Love it.
R. M.
Friendly staff for a great work function! Followed by drinks at the bar. The staff at the bar were full of character and quick to serve as well.
T. E.
Great value and standard.
For the price, location and facilities of this hotel, it would have to be one of the best options for short stays in the Sydney cbd.
Q. L.
Great service. Great location. We enjoyed our stay and here will def be our first choice when visiting Sydney again next time.
M. A.
The Cidery here is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is relaxed and the selection on tap is great. I'll be back again to try everything they have.
T. P.

Very convenient location, nice and clean room. Slifhtly noisy if stay in lower floors.
T. M.
Very centrally located hotel in the heart of bustling Chinatown, close to restaurants, cinemas and shops. Lovely room and superb bed. I shall come again.
R. A.
Perfect location, room too small, buffet OK. Staff are very nice. Parking valet $60
D. K.
Lot of hustle & bustle through the main walkway. A variety of Asian eateries to choose from or you can choose Mexican if u look hard enuff
I. M. S.
Stay here for 7 days, the location is strategic, near to many interesting places. The room is clean enough
T. G.
Best hotel in Sydney CBD for the price. Cider Bar worth a visit. Ask for room on a higher floor.
M. S.
Not much of a foyer to gather in before event. Grand ballroom was nice. Lots of projectors so everyone could see the screen.
A. L.
Service was good and room was great for the price. Checked in easily and it was accessible to me parts of the city
M. W.
Room and location was good, staff at restaurant some good some not so good , the staff at the bar were great, at the main desk OK. The cleaning was not good.
