S. S.Me and my partner stayed here for two nights. The apartment is spacious, offers two bathrooms (toilets, showers etc.), a spa which fits two, a large room with a TV and many more features which I won't go into detail. We arrived late, rang the bell and Steve was there, waiting for us. Thank you, Steve. We opted for the breakfast option, too, which was good. There is n reception (Vodafone) but this didn't deter us, as we enjoyed living amongst the wildlife and nature. We would definitely come back!
J. L.We had so much fun at the retreat! We stayed in the glamping tent and it was so cozy and clean. Alanna was a great host, she was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The retreat was different to anything else and provided lots of unique experiences. Driving the golf buggie in bush, especially at night for the glow worn tour was so much fun! The kangaroos and wallibies in the scantuary were all so cute and friendly. We were there for our honeymoon and all that really made our stay so memorable.

We loved taking the golf buggies for a spin through the retreat, the glow worm tour is a must and the tent had everything we needed for our stay. Steven and Alanna thought of everything and were more than accommodating. We highly recommend this stay - it is a once in a lifetime experience.
B. w.I recently stayed in the Glamping tent with my partner and it was beyond our expectations. Despite the weather not being great, we were kept cozy and warm with the fire place and large bath after a big days of exporing the area with the help of a golf cart and some gumboots. Alanna & Steve struck an excellent balance of providing everything we could need while letting us be to feel like we had the whole place to ourselves.
We had a most woderful time and are looking forward to going for another visit.
S.We had such a wonderful stay!! The glamping tent is everything you could want and more. Very clean, and well thought out. I especially loved the comfy robes and the fire place! The property here is just wonderful!! The experience with all of the animals and the bush walking is memorable! Great place to escape and just relax in nature. Just over an hour from Sydney. Highly recommend!!
H. M.What a great getaway! Stayed in the glamping tent - all we wanted was peace and solitude, and that's what we got with the exception of some welcome beautiful wildlife. Everything that was required was included and it was immaculately clean, and it was the perfect timeout for us :) thankyou - highly recommended getaway
D. N.What an absolute treat this place is. No reception most the time and although there is wifi, you just disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city. We stayed in the one bedroom suite and wow absolutely amazing. Very clean throughout and everything was premium. Check in was easy and you are given such privacy but help when required. We ordered the tomahawks for dinner one night and wow the food was delicious.
The bath in the room was stunning and so relaxing.
My partner and I enjoyed lazy afternoons watching the sunset and the kangaroos and ducks waddling about outside our room.
Having foxtel and Netflix was an added bonus to relaxing. We also used the buggy and hiked through the tracks. 5/5 would recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Exactly what me and my partner needed, Thankyou Alanna & Steven!

S. A.What a wonderful find! :-) We booked at last minute and didn't really know what to expect... this place is fantastic! Alanna came and picked us up after a long day walking and then showed us around the retreat. The rooms are fantastic, so clean and modern with a huge bathtub overlooking the lawn where kangaroos are sat outside. We made some food and built a campfire in their lovely outdoor kitchen and bbq area! Steve came and joined us for a couple of drinks round the fire too :-) They are a super friendly and welcoming couple, you can tell how much love and hard work has gone into making the retreat! Have already recommended to friends and we would love to go back again too!

Steve and Alanna went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember. Such humble and caring hosts. They were always around if needed but at the same time allowed us to have our own space and relax.
The property was stunning, waking up to kangaroos outside your window is so beautiful. The buggies were super handy to get around especially out the back when we didn’t want to walk. Alanna took us on a tour of the sanctuary explaining their reasons behind what they do to with saving wallabies and kangaroos and it was such a moving story, they have been able to save so many bring a near extinct species back. Their knowledge for these animals is incredible. The day beds were relaxing and extremely clean.
I highly recommend this to anyone needing a relaxing retreat. You will not be disappointed.

We spent a weekend at Waterfall Springs Retreat and it's been an amazing experience. If you're looking for a place to relax surrounded by nature, Waterfall Springs Retreat won't let you down.
Steve and Alana are great hosts, it's not easy to find people so committed and who were able to transmit their passion for nature and conservation as they do. We really enjoyed our stay and the facilities are great. You can chill out in the swimming pool or take a golf cart and drive around in the property surrounded by nature. The glow-worm nighttime adventure was really interesting and fascinating, we highly recommend it! We'll definitely come back!
C. B.We stayed at Waterfall Springs just after the restrictions on local travel were lifted in June. It was the perfect escape for a quiet weekend away. Steve and Alanna were the greatest hosts! Perfectly around when we needed something or had any questions, but left us to do our own thing. The property is so so beautiful and it really is a sanctuary with all the wildlife around. Waking up in the morning and opening our window to see the kangaroos just laying in the sun just outside our room was truly special and something we will never forget. The glow worm tour is AMAZING and we would truly recommend it to anyone who is considering adding something in. The entire weekend was so quiet and special and really left us feeling recharged and refreshed. Thanks so much Steve and Alanna, what a special place you have and thank you so much for sharing it!

Steve's cooking on the BBQ was wonderful. We liked the walk through the bush on the property - it took about 1.5 hours and was hilly in parts. If you like the bush and like to walk, this is definitely a good way to spend some time while at the property.
There are many unique items here. The wildlife, the accommodation's view & of course Steve.
Would we go back? Yes, we would and we will be recommending this wonderful little hide away to our friends.
R. G.This has to be one of the best places on earth. To think that we have places like this, so close to Sydney is unbelievable. When we booked this, we read all the reviews and were gobsmacked to see a 5 star rating on every site we searched. When we booked, it was evident why they have such a high rating. Our booking was made the morning of our stay when I emailed Alanna at 2am and asked if they had any rooms. We were emailed back by 7am and booked into their superior suite. This room was AMAZING! the tub, the bed, the views were breathtaking. The resort itself was like nothing we had seen, the animals have purpose built enclosures and you are able to drive around the whole thing. I would suggest getting a Golf Cart as this made the stay even better! They were fully equiped with lights and 4x4 wheels to go through the rest of the conservation area. The waterfall and tours were literally breathtaking and were so easy to walk to. I could go on and on about this place but you have to experience this yourself to understand what everyone is so thrilled about! And to the hosts, Thanks so much for letting us enjoy our honeymoon in the most amazing place in NSW! Cheers,

R. F.The owners Alana and Steve are absolutely terrific, and truly put an outstanding amount of effort into the care taking of not only the facility but the animals as well. I proposed to my wife here and didn’t plan on telling the owners, when I told Steve he and Alana jumped too it and and prepared and absolute picturesque view with a surprise for me and my wife. It’s been two years now and that moment is still one our favourites. The amount of effort that was put in was truly priceless. Anyone who gives this absolute gem a bad review has rocks in their head. Keep up the good work guys we will be back. Your hard work and above and beyond hospitality does not go un appreciated. J. A.We loved our stay! Perfect getaway for the weekend, to unwind and really relax. It's truely nature at it's best, well set out and so peaceful. We loved that this place was nothing like we've stayed at before, with great privacy, so close to nature. We loved checking out the entire property, with available golf buggies for hire at a reasonable cost. You can really do as much or as little as you like there, it's great! Our room was lovely, bathroom amazing - bath tub overlooking the grassed area with a view of the kangaroos. Definitely recommend, if you're after something romantic, relaxing and different to your usual hotel stay.

J. O.We loved our time at Waterfall Springs. The house and facilities were excellent and owners Alana and Steve really thoughtful. Our overseas guest loved patting and feeding the kangaroos and wallabies - and so did we! The glow worms were magical. It was about a 40 minute drive to Hunter Valley vineyards. Highly recommend.

Whether you are looking for a romantic weekend getaway, adventurous bush walks or crazy ATV rides, lazy quiet time to read your pile of books, hang & feed the endangered wallabies in the sanctuary, see some spectacular fireflies & glow worms (if you are lucky), a getaway with some friends where you can cook together or enjoy an Aussie BBQ with Steve & Alanna your hosts!
Great selection of wines in Steve's wine cellar too!
Alanna will also help pull together a sensational healthy breakfast to help you kick start your day (bacon & pancakes optional).
Gorgeous spacious bright rooms with bathtubs fit for 2! Comfortable beds, great fire place in every room to use on those chilly country nights.
For tourists - spend atleast 2nights here to experience the real Aussie bush!

S. B.Alanna and Steven have done a wonderful job creating a homely yet secluded feel. Every detail has gone into making you feel like your every need is accounted for. The picnic at the secluded day bed over looking the range, the sanctuary tour with Alanna, even the thought that goes into preparing breakfast or dinner will truly blow you away. We can not thank them enough for making our minimoon everything as special as a real honeymoon. We will definately be going back to relax and relive the absolutely wonderful experience. 5 stars doesnt begin to set a high enough standard that Alanna and Steve have set for themselves accommodating your every needs.

J. R.Fabulous place with lovely owners. It's really amazing to see how they take care of their animals and guests. Clean rooms, nice garden with an outdoor kitchen and everything you need to relax! And all this in a wildlife sanctuary that is dedicated to saving the endangered brush-tailed and yellow-footed rock wallabies!
B.Had a great experience staying at Waterfall Springs Retreat.
Rooms have a modern aesthetic & communal areas such as the main foyer, kitchen & bbq area are kept in a clean state. The caretakers came around and replenished the basics such a milk, juice etc.
We hired a golf buggy & I reccomend it for navigating the pretty expansive track they have located in the Sanctuary (Even if I feel the $50 per day price point is a little on the expensive side) Infact all the additional add ons could be more fairly priced but its fair play when you consider its all optional & you won't have any less of an experience without these.
Waterfall Springs Retreat is a peaceful escape that shouldn't be overlooked. I felt it justified its price point.
