I ordered vegan cake & soy latte, it was awesome! however the staff took 20 min to make one take away coffee! i wouldn’t mind if i was free to wait but i was busy and wasted my half and hour almost just for small coffee!

Good spot to people watch. Visited on a Saturday after lunch and there were hardly any people inside. Coffee orders came promptly but had to wait 30mins for our crepes. Disappointed in the very slow service. Crepes tasted good though.

I loved this place,what a little gem. The coffee was great but the hot chocolate was even better. The melted chocolate on the side just really made it. We got a little cookie on the side and I thought that tasted great. Also got a choc brownie which was surprisingly cheap and tasted great. The service was very welcoming and polite. The decor was homely and loved the set up and the books. We sat in the corner which had a corner couch which made us feel we were in our own personal space,not in public. Best hot chocolate I've had to date one small thing,it could of been a bit hotter,people never make them hot these days. We will definitely be coming back to try what amazing food and drinks this place has to offer.

Normally come here after dinner for dessert when we’re in Glenelg. The ice creams are yummy & all their menu items are great. However upon our last visit we paid for a couple of cocktails & they told us they couldn’t do one of them. So we chose a different one, which was cheaper and didn’t get reimbursed. And when we drank them they were very overpowering, the liquor ratio was a bit high. We would go back for dessert but no cocktails.

It is very nice inside - the heater will warm you up very quick in winter. The service was a little slow - it took about 10-15 minute for us to get a tea and a piccolo. Stays open longer than Cibo.

I have to be honest I have never endulged in the sweets. I come for the coffee. Never a bad coffee and to me at least always perfect. Best coffee in Glenelg. Also love there lounge corner and the staff have never been anything but lovely. Even when rushed off there feet.

Like many other reviews have mentioned, it’s very slow service. We went there on a Sunday around 5pm and waited over 30 minutes for just three cappuccinos. It looked like other customers that had come before us had also been waiting for a while. Luckily we were just there for coffee and didn’t order any food otherwise it may have been longer. The girl making the coffee was working very hard and non stop, so I believe they may just need more staff or more efficient procedures. I wouldn’t recommend popping in if you’re in a hurry, have limited time or are hangry 😂. The coffees were nice, reasonably priced, nice dark chocolate put on as garnish and a little nice coffee mini biscuit put on the side.

St Louis coffee is different. Very enjoyable accompanied with a delicious biscuit. There is an ambience of French cuisine and the Glenelg St Louis is an excellent place to sit and soak up the atmosphere of Glenelg.

Good range of ice cream flavours. The option of Nutella dipped ice cream comes adds an intriguing flavour and is an option that most will find it hard to pass up on. The ice cream scoops sizes were very well proportioned and the quality of the ice cream was excellent, especially recommend trying out the banoffee pie flavour

Friendly service, delicious deserts and comfy spot to share a plate. The comfy chairs at the back by the books are the beat spot in the bad weather, chairs out the front in he sun are the best spot in the nice weather. Good selection of ice cream, which you may sample to help choose your flavour. Even better though are the cakes, tarted and gateaux. Or even the other deserts in the menu. No kids menu, but the kids will be happy with most of what is on offer. A good selection of drinks as well, fresh squeezed orange juice is my pick. Access should be no issue, as there is a small ramp leading up from the footpath, and some room inside the cafe it’s self.

There is no other desert bar in the area that has the diversity of desert nor staff that are open to making whatever you really please. They do all manner of things but excel in desserts... If you're interested in the fast service of a stand alone coffee shop, there are many other places nearby that can service your needs. St. Louis is all about the desserts, but they also make a mean coffee as well, though you'll need to wait a few minutes longer for that perfect cup. The downside to this story is that they're popular in the evenings as they're open late when the others go home early. If you intend on coming with a large group of friends, book ahead with a fairly accurate time, otherwise you'll be waiting in the table que... Enjoy.
