Location is amazing. The scenery and walks surrounding it are a must. Pavilion itself is nice and staff are friendly. Drinks are resonably priced however, the 'loaded sweet potato fries' were extremely overpriced and were not 'loaded.

It is a quick drive from Brisbane to go to Suttons beach and take a break at the Suttons Beach Pavilion. We enjoy the Fish and Chippery at the Beach Pavilion and their gluten free battered cod with chips is crazy good. It has become a family tradition now. There is great ice cream there at the Pavilion and always enough seating and right on the ocean. Great service, friendly staff and tasty food.

I went to Oli's cocktail making class at the Pavilion last Saturday and it was a fantastic afternoon. The 4 cocktails were all very different, but all lovely and the antipasto plate was also extremely good. Here is a picture of my first homemade cappuccino martini, made this evening using the recipe from the class. I've had the a cocktail making kit for a few months, but never really knew how to use it until now! Yum!!! -- This is my go to place on the peninsular. Food and service are always great, and the view is amazing! Just enjoyed my Sunday morning coffee by the beach. Beautiful!

The food was good. But the wait time was an hour (take away). Not a huge deal but a wait time that long should be communicated to customers. Staff were apologetic but pretty dismissive of the issue. Sure they were probably short handed and it was very busy, but I think you’ve got to let the customers know a wait time that long. I’d still return but I’ll be asking each time an estimated wait time.

Enjoyed a family gathering to celebrate two birthdays and an anniversary at Pavilion. The booking process went well. When we arrived the children's attention was taken up with a Pavilion colouring-in pack which kept them busy. Our meals were delicious and the staff attentive. Cafe is only open for coffee and cake outside of the breakfast menu times. Restaurant is nice, has a good range on offer but a little pricey for an everyday lunch outing. That just leaves the fish and chippery for another lunch option; which offers generous servings of well cooked fish, chips and burgers etc. Best to check the menus and operating hours online before arriving.

We had an amazing late lunch Sunday 30th, we had my friends dog so sat out side but the food and service were superb, I would highly recommend the Pavillion to anyone who values good quality food fine and exceptional service at reasonable cost for the high standard. The portions are somewhat out of whack. The calamari even though it was a starter size was extremely small in comparison to most places. The kids Calamari had 2 small rings with some chips more salad than anything else. My nephew gets the kids calamari basically everywhere we go, never had he been served only 2 pieces!! We had to order him a bowl of chips as he was still hungry and he isn’t a big eater. My daughter had the chicken wings and they on the other hand were a large portion and they were very good! The service was also great the girl that served us was wonderful she was complete flat out seemed to be the only one taking orders for the large section but she still had a smile on her face. Unfortunately we left quite underwhelmed with what we got for what we paid. A mix review really wasn’t terrible but wouldn’t hurry back.

3rd time i have visited. today 22.1.2022. Calamari 11 out 10.. it really is very nice. Chips 10 out of 10. Chips have been consistently nice. Salad-today’s salad was very disappointing. The cucumber, tomato, onion and dressing was nice but and there is a big but… the lettuce leaves were passed the use by date. There were rotting leaves mixed in with ones that were ok and it was not just one or two. It was all through the leaves. The fish-my partner got the crumbed cod. It was over cooked almost burnt, fish was old and it was very doubtful of being cod. I have the battered barramundi. The batter was nice and not greasy but the barramundi i had my doubts if it was Australian fish but it was nicely cooked and tasted fresh. Tartare sauce is obviously made by the store. It was nice and quite tasty. All in all for a birthday lunch it was a little disappointing. Sorry i did not just have calamari. One final point. The staff while not rude were not very friendly. Might be because they are stressed but tone and lack of smile (even with mask on you can tell usually) did not come across that friendly.. :)

Great place to enjoy a lazy Sunday lunch. We turned up without a booking, and the staff very quickly found us a table with awesome views of the bay and watching the boats sail past (I think just about every table would have a great view to be fair). Very generous servings for the food at very reasonable prices. Staff were really friendly and although the kitchen was busy with a few larger groups, the food came out really quickly. I had a fantastic 60th Birthday Party in the Bathers Bar at Sutton’s Pavilion last Sunday evening - everybody attending commented on what a great venue and superb location it is, the views are to die for. The staff were fantastic and very helpful before, during and after the event plus the food was great! I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for somewhere unique for a special occasion.

Overall, pretty good. Our table of 4 ordered dinner same time yet 2 meals came 20 minutes later. Strange, as one meal from each pair was the same -chicken shnitzel. The meals were pretty good. Chicken was a bit over cooked and dry. The staff were great, very friendly but it was very noisy with so many people crammed into the dining area. We went Sat 30th Oct 21, 6.30pm. I'd probably come back when not as busy. Less noise and less people which would make it easier for the chefs to keep up.

Went in today for fish and chips at Sutton beach. Order my fish and chips it took quite a while but the girl waiter that was running the show in there was absolutely lovely and kept her cool even though food was slow. I've had fish and chips from here before and the time was usually faster but I'm guessing it was just an off day for them. Fish was lovely as always even though there was a wait.

Our Wedding anniversary. Really nice atmosphere. Like the lighting. Staff were very attentive and kept busy. Even with masks on they were pleasant and happy. Thought we would try this picturesque spot for a little lunch on our day off. Mistake ! our fish was very very oily , 4 potatoes scallops were raw and the dim sim was still frozen on the inside. The staff did apologize and refunded the dim dim and two potato scallops,. It’s lovely to see this previously under utilised location set up with good Cafe finally. The new owners have made it so much more comfortable and welcoming. We dropped in for afternoon tea and ordered coffee, teas, beer, banana bread, carrot cake, burgers, fish and chips. All the serving size were very generous and the food was good. Service was quick too. This is a really lovely spot to have a meal as you can also enjoy a very pleasant walk along the waterfront, go for a swim and the kids would love all the playground facilities.

I had some fish and chips from the takeaway shop very nice and fresh There are tables and chairs on the grass with gorgeous beach views Sandy beach, bring your bucket and spade, unfortunately no dogs allowed in the sand. You can also charge your phone out the front as there is an outdoor power point

Rocked up in near the end of the day got my food pretty quick. Was worried that I wasn't gonna get my food because of the music and crowds but the guy you have shouting numbers really needs to consider joining the army as a drill sergeant Because holy hell he is loud. Food was nice would definitely eat here again.

Didn't love it at all, found it expensive for what you got. Felt rushed out, even though I was told at every occasion, from booking, the booking reminders that we had a 2 hour sitting, the waitress came and interrupted our conversation at 1.30pm to tell us the table was booked by someone else for 2pm....I thought we had the table from 12 to 2, not out before 2 so she had time to reset it. Plenty of other places with better food and great views that don't make you feel like you have to leave. I understand covid reatrictions and bums on seats to make money but, rude is how I would describe the management of it.

Great place to head down to on a Sunday afternoon for some great food, live music and amazing beachfront views. Such a relaxed and chilled place. You can't beat the cafe for a morning coffee location too. Very friendly staff, always welcoming, particularly Sinead, who is always friendly, greets you with a smile, has fabulous cocktail suggestions (or mocktails if you don't drink) and nothing is too much trouble :-)

Walking about Sutton beach recent and happened to stumble across Sutton beach pavilion. I felt like something fast and easy so I thought Hey lets try out some tasty fish and chip shop. I think i came in around the 2:30pm mark so it seems to be quiet enough. The gentlemen at the till Star wars Hat greeted me and was excellent in determining what I would like as I ended up not with fish but a delicious Beef burger with cheese which also came with chips unlike most other places around. The food was great and filling. I hope to attend another time.

Visited on a Wednesday for lunch. Nice views, and the staff were helpful and very friendly. Meals were okay on average - fish of the day was very nice. Crumbed chicken was dry (visibly overcooked). Entree of lemon myrtle pepper calamari was lovely. Deserts were good. Portion size quite large. Very quick food service (place was very quiet). The place is looking a bit run-down - I understand the premises is run by local council so so fault of the current operators. Music was god-awful. I don't even know what it was (some dreadful "R&B" or something), but obviously not what the predominantly 60+ clientele were after. They did turn it down on request tho. Spent $160 for two for lunch (shared entree, mains, deserts, drinks). Probs a bit steep for the quality, but obviously the location is a premium so still worth it.

We had our wedding ceremony & reception in The Bathers Bar and thought the venue was perfect! It met all our needs and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The venue offers a beautiful private deck to watch the sunset but also has a great indoor wet weather option. Food was great! It also catered to all the varying ages at our event as it provided a cosy lounge area for the younger & the older guests. Loved our wedding and all that The Bathers Bar offered. Relaxing place to dine on the foreshore of beautiful Sutton Beach. Great environment, pleasant staff and good food at reasonable prices. Now under threat by local council hell bent on destroying the building and the people's place.

The venue is amazing and has loads of character. We came with 16 others for the 28th May Disco night. On arrival there were not enough chairs to seat 18 people even near each other. This was sorted by one of your staff so that was great work, thank you. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The DJ on the other hand was quite poor and extremely loud. I’m sure the decibel level was way above the recommended level. We asked if it could be turned down as the distortion in the speakers made it impossible to hear the music. The music itself was not music or songs anyone knew. They seemed to be playing for their own enjoyment and not for the enjoyment of the people there. You could not talk as the music was so deafening it was impossible. I love Disco and, I use music myself I’m my business. We would have stayed later only the music and distortion was so bad it became very uncomfortable and no longer enjoyable. I was looking forward to having a dance tonight but I could not stand the extreme sound level. It was intolerable. The Pavilion is a great venue with a lot of pluses, I was disappointed last night that I had to leave early.

Dine looking at the waves, and passing beachgoers on the walking path, with the breeze tempered by glass panels. You can dine in the restaurant (aircon inside or outside undercover), or at the cafe/fish & chippery (dining also outside and mostly undercover). There is also a tapas restaurant upstairs, and function centre next door. Fish & chippery has large servings for the money - our party of more than a dozen took home doggy bags. Parking right outside if spots are free. After you eat, go for a swim or walk on the beach!

This is a place ticks all the boxes. We were greeted by warm friendly staff who were quick with our meals and even checked to see we were happy with the service. The next visit we were seated outside in the warm evening sunshine looking over the ocean views and enjoyed listening to a local solo artist whilst enjoying our beverage. Had lunch there today for our staff Christmas party. I ordered the daily fish special and it was one of the best cooked fish fillets I’ve ever had. Compliments to the chef! The food took a while to come out but there were a couple of large groups present. We weren’t in any hurry so that was fine. The air conditioning didn’t really keep up with the heat though; it was getting hot and stuffy inside. But the food, drinks and prices were all really good. When rolling out with full bellies I enquired about upcoming functions for our business Christmas Party, we were shown around areas as to how they would accomodate us and a menu given of delicious food we could expect at beyond reasonable pricing. I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough for Date for Two or larger functions. The Tapas is amazing? Huge serves! Their 3 for $30 is more than enough for two people with maybe a side of their delicious garlic bread to soak up the juices from each bowl. Absolutely outstanding value for money and such an amazing atmosphere. We will definitely be going back for more and more and more... As a side note, this is a great place to meet for First Dates. We had a couple sitting nearby who were a Tinder match. The commentary was outstanding, I think due to the relaxed atmosphere and stunning food. I need more stars to recommend this fine business.

The pavilion was booked for an event, and overall there service was excelent but the food came out cold for both entrè and main and when asked about it they didn’t tell us why, but apart from the food the night was great.
