Canberra is lucky to have an authentic swiss chocolatier and pastry baker. The artisan bread and pastries are excellent and Bruno's handmade truffles are divine.

Delicious and authentic. Not only is this place scrupulously clean, but Bruno has very high meticulous standards for his ingredients and the making of his pastries, bread, chocolates and honey. Ask him if he's there and he will wax lyrically about the care he takes in making sourdough bread the traditional way, the bees he cares for with his local honey and the delicious quiches and pastries he makes. I've enjoyed coming here for several years after being introduced to it by a long time fan, and it never disappoints.

After spending quite a decent amount on Easter supplies I was encouraged to purchase the hot cross buns 6 for $16. Initially I said No Thank you, then when I was told they are the best in Canberra and they only bake them 7 days a year I decided to give them a go. I have to say, I was somewhat disappointed... I expected them to be good, awesome, melt in your mouth kind of stuff, and well to my complete disappointment they were only okay. Definitely NOT the best I’ve had and to be honest I’m not going back for more. I don’t like posting this as I like to support local business, however I was really disappointed with the hot cross buns especially after being told they were the best around! Other than that, the chocolate or more accurately the truffles are delightful!

Bruno made the coffee for us both times and they were just the right temperature and taste. I took some sore dough rolls home and of course chocolate marzipan for dad for fathers day but it may not last till then! 😆😅😄

Bruno was lovely as always. Accidentally purchased the wrong size of chocolate boxes during the Easter rush. Realised 10 mins later, Bruno was accommodating and happily changed the boxes for the right size, refunding the difference. (The chocolates were of course divine, but that's been established by many other reviews.) Happy customer.

Bruno's is Canberra's best chocolatier. Friendly knowledgeable and covid safe staff await with a wide selection. Simply delicious.

Returned to visit Bruno's after 30 years - Bruno remembered me and was welcoming (I worked in a wine shop next door to the original shop). The chocolates are still fantastic and the coffee and cakes are great.

I was after the best chocolatier in Canberra. I had heard from a few friends that Bruno Truffles was definitely amongst them. The variety available reminded of what i could find in Europe and the family was delighted with the easter eggs i brought back. My personal favourite ? The Nougatine egg Bruno has prepared with his home-made honey....a real treat !

Opening hours are a bit strange although even when its open it's hard to tell due to blocked windows. Very weird buisness practise.. Also it's such a shame the Bruno's has really ostracised himself from the Mawson complex. I don't even have any friends or family working in this area but it is common knowledge that they are hard to get along with. You would think he wouldn't be keen to get into the customer service biz.
