Truly regretted not getting two scoops! Their cookies & cream ice cream was legit! Ice cream was creamy & thick but more importantly, the cookies were chunky!

Incredibly delicious ice creams and gelatos. My favorites are the lighter tasting ones like the pistachio as I find the sweeter ones are too strong for me. I enjoy buying a tub and have them at home. I really don't care for the blaring music they are always playing. Makes it hard to hear what the staff or anyone is saying when making an order, especially with face masks at the moment.

Definitely a go-to place for a family. A hot day after school it gets a bit busy but the cue moves relatively quickly. There are heaps of menus to choose, so time will pass before you know it. I love pistachio gelato and mango sorbet. Specials are always good to explore, but they're sold out quite often. I like their cone. It's so crunchy and tastes nice. I would love to order their cake for birthday one day, too!

Full flavoured sorbets and gelatos.an abundance of choice in flavours, with options of drinks to accompany the treat. Single, double, triple scoop, 0.5 to 1.5 litre take home packs. Take your choice. Or just eat the 1.5 litre pack right there! Often busy with long queues though worth the wait. There is limited seating outdoors, however there are plenty along the street nearby.

We saw some crazy long lines during our stay in Canberra but walked right in late on a Friday afternoon. It's Messina so the selection is vast and on point, the special Jammie Dodger totally hit the spot. Loved the dog friendly courtyard outside, the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the scoops!

A well positioned gelato store right in the heart of Braddon. A perfect palate pleaser post any meal after visiting Braddon's next door eateries, like the woodfired pizza. Or simply enjoy as a nice treat to cool off when walking through and going home after a busy day. A delicious wide range of menu options to suit any taste at whim. They have the best gelato menu that I've tried in Canberra so far. I generally do not go for icecream or gelato because I find it too sweet, but the balance is just right. I'm impressed by the growing range of vegan gluten free options. A nice hard choice to have and keeps you coming back.

I thought I'd reviewed Gelato Messina, but obviously not. There's really not much to say here. These guys, hands down, do the best I'd can in canberra. There's so much that goes into making it awesome. The flavours are fantastic- so many bases to choose from. All made from their super tasty medsina milk. Then there's the additions. Food is not only about flavour, but also texture. These guys get it. They put all sorts if mouth watering extras in their gelato. Sometimes crunchy, sometimes chewy, gooey or crumbly. Whether its biscuit crumb, cheesecake, briwnie, fudge or some other treat, someone has spent some good amount of time working out what combinations of food, flavour and texture work. And oh man - they work. Stop reading and get youself in there. Now!!

Diverse and delicious range of gelato. Wonderfully friendly staff. Clean, neat and tidy store. Plus, the scoops are HUGE 😍. I would say this store is better than any of the Sydney ones I've been to (scandalous!) I dislike the Sydney Messina stores and generally avoid them, but I definitely recommend this Braddon store. Still a bit pricey though, which is enough of a reason to not visit regularly (waistline says thank you).

I do like the many flavours and sick beats. I do not like how over hyped it is. I do like how a floating arm serves you your cream. Good range of delicious gelatos, as you would expect from Messina. Be aware the dairy gelatos are very rich and two scoops (as pictured) is best shared between two people. The sorbets are very sweet and creamy, but have much less varied flavours (mainly fruits). The coconut and Pandan flavour was a favourite.

The gelato is creamy and delicious. The selection is the best I've seen, with all sorts of daily specials. My only complaint is the size of the "tastes". They are happy to give you a sample to try, but they put the smallest amount, the size of a pea, on a popsicle stick, making it almost impossible to really taste. That, however, won't stop me from going back, since it's truly lovely gelato!

I really wish they could manage to server people quicker as multiple times I had to wait on a huge queue just to have one. If there is any manager reading this, please hire more people to work from 7 to 11pm.

On a Saturday night a couple were a few min late past closing. The young woman appeared sad and peered longingly into the window at the delectable selection of gelatos. One of the beautiful staff slipped out the door and kindly gave the sad drunk lady a scoop of ice cream on the house. This alone cured my depression. I will be back.

I got to try Gelato Messina for the time recently and was amazed by the taste of their products. I wasn't intending to buy anything but was handed an ice cream stick with pistachio and praline on it and was told it was one of their most popular flavours. I ended up buying some and was very happy with what I had bought. The staff were fantastic and the layout of the shop is very interesting too. The only issue was that the music was too loud so we ate our ice cream outside in the rain. I will definitely be going back and will bring an umbrella next time so that I am prepared

Ice cream is always pretty great there, especially Pandan and Coconut. However, the barista coffee is quite atrocious - watery and burnt. Would recommend you avoid the coffee, but indulge in ice cream instead!

He had glasses I think) who in like 1 minute gave me one of the best service experiences ever. Completely earnestly and quickly helped me find the best flavour for me with his own recommendations. I don't eat ice cream but I came here with my mother because she loves hazelnut ice cream and apparently the only other place she can get it is her hometown in Germany. The store looks nice but the music playing is extremely loud and you can barely hear the servers. Also it is far too busy. Obviously I do not fault Messina for this, but why are there so many inconsiderate people who don't know what ice cream flavour that they want after having been in line for over twenty minutes looking at the flavours who then also taste like three flavours thereby considerably extending the wait of every other person in line?

Classy store, lots of different flavours of both ice cream and sorbet. I think the prices are reasonable, there are many other gelato stores more expensive. I had the Nicky Glasses which is Coffee and Salted Caramel. I love that the ice cream here is not too sweet, but the ice cream tastes exactly like whatever flavour it is supposed to be.

I go here a lot because the ice cream and flavour variety is great! They’ve improve staffing lately which is a real plus so the wait is generally not super long even in the busier periods. Seating outside is generally not sufficient enough, especially when a bigger party takes all the chairs from other tables! It's a nice ice cream place in braddon. Everyday there is a range of different specials which are a fabulous choice over the usual favourite flavors. Good for team visit. I often take my team there for quick meetings over ice-cream (different versions of meetings over coffee) Staff is friendly and you can try various flavours before making the final choice.

It’s the nightclub of gelato bars! And the gelato is top quality. Here’s an unusual tip for you: if you are a fan of caffe affogato (ie vanilla ice cream with espresso poured over the top) this is THE place to go. I mean I think it was like $7 or something but you have to try this to know how good it can get.

Pretty much the greatest gelato ever. Every single one is great, but I always crave the Super Dulce dear leche. For something lighter try the mango sorbet. No matter your choice they are great.
