Honestly one of the best shops in North West Tassie! The whole experience is wonderful, and they showcase a lot of bee related knowledge in house, you can even see real bees in there! Apart from honey flavoured ice cream, they also sell a variety of honey related product, and they offer taste testing. Definitely recommended to visit if you're around Chudleigh.

Lovely cosy shop and beautiful museum. You can try all the honey they sell before you buy. We tried the vanilla and leatherwood ice cream. The ice cream was delicious! And you get a big scoop. I've travelled to this honey farm twice now about ten years apart. The range of honey products is extensive and they provide honey tasting samples galore. This time I purchased two delicious meads, aniseed honey and lavender honey. If you have a problem like me with lavender flavoured food/drinks not being lavendery enough, their lavender honey using essential oil is excellent. I took a photo of their flavoured honey drop range as I think these are new since my first visit.

This place is fun, for little children or big kids (adults). Apart from the large range of home grown honey products, you can see the bees at work making a hive through a glass window. The Dutch lady who runs the place with her husband is really friendly to talk to. By the way their Manuka honey and ice cream is to die for!

Good shop but it is really a touristic place. They sell a lot of products about bees but they don't use their own honey and some products (plates, cutteries) are even in French... Strange right?

Sad to hear the news. As a tourist visited the farm in 2012, I liked the leatherwood honey so much that keep ordering the honeys through online every year. Will surely miss the time in the farm, the ice cream and the honey.

Love this place! More just a shop than an actual farm, but you can still view a glassed-in beehive and all the bees at work. They have a huge selection of honey products to eat and for skincare. There's also nougat and ice cream. Lots of bee themed products for sale too. The family who run the farm are very friendly and lovely. Great stop along our route.

Cute little place. It's more of a shop with some bees than a farm but it's informative and has a good selection of different honey to taste. Oh and check out Mole Creek Caravan Park on the way too. Park your Caravan and drive to all the site seeing places. The owner is wonderful and very helpful with all the Touristy things in the area. I came here when I was 5 in a holiday and I never forgot it So when I returned to the honey farm for my 21st birthday, it was amazing! There are so many different flavours of honey! My favourite was strawberry honey In the back there is a awesome display where you can see the bees in the hive! It’s so cool! They have awesome nick nacks to buy, and a really cool peppery honey thing that I want to buy 100 jars of to cook with! Forever!

I originally thought the farm would be a highly commercialised store cause I saw their review in travel books and ads. I have different views when I visited the Farm in person. You can have free tasting and the staff would not press customers in purchasing their products. We originally intended to make a pitch stop but end up buying some of everything. The staff is friendly and helpful and packed everything neat and tidy so that we would not break them travelling back.

This is one place where I ALWAYS stop on my way to Cradle Mountain when in TAS. The place is small but magical with so much to offer. The bee hive behind glass, the honey tasting, the souvenirs, the honey to buy and my favourite the HONEY ICE CREAM!!!! So yum! The people running it a SUPER nice. If you drive through Chudleigh, do yourself a solid and go! Also great for kids!

The shop provides honey tasting from a self help dippo using one dip wooden sticks. Some unusual flavours include lavender and Jasmine, though there are several flavours worth tasting too. They also sell quality icecream. There are also some specialty sweets worth considering. Honey can be purchased in 250 or 500 mg PET jars as well as other bulk arrangements. There was a video playing to explain some relevant information. A memorable stop on a country drive.

Loved Melita Honey Farm so much we had to stop in again before we went back home to the mainland! They have the biggest selection of honey flavours I've ever seen and you can trial them all with their in-store samples (we ended up settling on ginger, jasmine and a vanilla). They also sell honey personal care products and other honey/bee related things. They had a lot of nice educational parts to the store and I loved the bee viewing area out the back. The highlight for me however was the ice cream (competing with my Italian gelato experience) - we tried leatherwood (the local tassie honey), ginger, hazlenut, passion fruit and blood orange, and they were all so delicious! Very reasonably priced (honey jars range around $6-13, and the icecream was about $6 for two scoops). Highly recommend this as a stop!

I went out of my to visit the Melita Honey farm on a road mantained by the govt and shire. It was worth the effort. Its products were excellent ice creams devine and I intended to buy more by internet also installed and mantained by govt funds. Imagine my dismay when I was told these people wont pay rates because " the land belongs to God". How does that work? Given we all contribute to enable these people to onduct their business.
