Fish and chips were freshly cooked, really tasty and very filling. Would go back here again for the food, and the ice-cream looked delicious, but... if the website says the Fisherman's Basket is $28.90, why are they charging $35 (that's a significant price hike by any standard) and if the website says they are open until 7pm, why are they desperate to shut the doors at 6.30pm, even though people are still arriving to place orders? Also, a bit of flexibility in the menu wouldn't hurt. If you have sweet potato fries on the menu, and I'm willing to pay extra to swap fries for sweet potato fries, it would be a good customer experience to allow that. Shame that these small things impacted what could have been a great experience.

THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS I HAVE EVER HAD! This place is producing world class food from a small country town with the friendliest of staff! If you are in Freciynet National Park then this is a must stop for fish and chips followed by amazing icecream!

A great way to celebrate the completion of a hike in Freycinet National Park, is with some local seafood in a fisherman's basket, washed down with a cold drink and topped off with a delicious ice cream. All with amazing views of The Hazards.

Awesome spot for fish n chips lunch. The swordfish was delicious and comes with lemon and your choice of either tartare or aioli. The staff are very friendly and the view is just stunning. The only thing that tops the whole experience is walking back in after lunch and picking something delicious from their extensive ice cream range. Drop in here ... you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely beautiful ice cream, although a couple of more options for dairy / lactose intolerance would be good. The store is located in a great place with an amazing view, although the street and surrounds can get crazy busy in Oak times. Overall, you could sit there and eat ice cream all day!

The venue itself is fantastic and the ice cream is just fine but the range of flavours is pretty bland - when the most exotic to choose from is coolies and cream you’re hardly living on the wild side! Everything was nice and clean though. My only other gripe was that it does fish and chips too!?! Why? Are you an ice cream shop of a fish and chip shop? And when there are lots of other fish and chip shops around anyway.

Don't bother with the sweet potato fries. Too expensive for the price ($8.90) and they keep the good seasoning for the 'thick cut' chips ($6.90) which are much better. Still don't expect thick chips, they are roughly twice as thick as French fries. Their sorbets are really gooy and delicious. Staff are lovely, spreading their good vibes into your food. Smart traveler would stock up for the day to avoid the 'convenience' surcharge. Happy eating guys.

Only 5 stars because I can't give more. I am not really into seafood but THIS was just SO GOOD! I wanted to go back again the following two days of my stay in Coles Bay but they do not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. My partner and I were actually sad and talked about the food for a few days. We will go back there for sure, it is worth going even if you have to make a detour for it!
